She blinked and looked up at him "Hmmm? Oh, I'm sorry." she said and looked back down "I was just wondering if this is how my parent's were when they first met too." she shook her head and looked back up "Don't worry about me." she smiled falsely and stood back up "I'll be fine."

He looks at her for a moment, not sure what to say. ”Anything about her family really upsets her.” He thinks to himself. When she stands he sees the fake smile. It hurt him to see her show him a false smile even after all they had been through and the choices they had made. He wraps his paws around her pulling her close in a warm, comforting embrace.

Her eyes shimmered. He always seemed to comfort her even when she would say she was fine. How does he manage to see through it. She closed her eyes and put her paws around him too.

He just holds her close for a moment, smiling when she wraps her paws around him as well. "No matter what is bothering you Rose, I'm here to help you through it." He moves, looking her in the eyes. "We are together now and I'll do anything to keep that beautiful smile on your face." He smiles warmly as he nuzzles her cheek gently.

She rubbed her face in his mane "Don't leave me. Everyone I've ever known my whole life have left me." her tail curled around her side.

He holds her close to him, comforting her. "I will never leave you. I promise Rose." Pats her back gently.

She looked up at him and smiled "Ok." she sniffled and wiped her paw across her cheek.

He looks down at her with a soft smile. "Will you be alright Rose?" He wipes her cheek with his paw gently.

He smiles when she rests her head in his paw. "That's good." His ears twitch a little as he nuzzles her cheek gently.

She looked back up "Guess we should be moving on again." she turned her head back out to the field.

"We should. We need a sturdy safe den that we can live." He stands and looks out across the field. "Which way should we go?"

"Well, I think there are mountains over that way." she said, pointing with her paw "There might be an opening we could use."

He nods and looks to where she pointed. "Then let's go that way and look for a cave. Ready Rose?"
