TheFateOfTheUniverse Hermonie Urameshi What kind of math would there be in translating? xd But... What if you were translating...a math book? xd Or something uber-technical and mathematical? blaugh Nah. I'll translate my own books as well as my brother's so if anything is wrong we're the ones to blame and not some idiots who don't really know language. rofl I noticed that with some manga.

My japanese isn't quite good enough to read most manga, yet...The simpler stuff I can do, but...Could be better. sweatdrop wink I can't actually read it and know what's going on, but I have an English and a Japanese version of one yet they translated a word wrong. I could tell from the kanji.

My friend and I at our school are making a Japanese learn program course for students interested in manga and anime. We plan to watch and read it and teach the words to improve their Japanese while reading manga. Kawaii ni ne? wink
Unfortunately, we don't know how this is going to work out and how to teach them the words easily. Can I have advice from people learning the language to give ideas on what activities or games we should put in? Any advice is great. biggrin

I manga they tend to use informal forms all the time and if you get English versions to go along with them there are most likely to be things taken out and changed. Not to mention, they have to know kana and even a lot of kanji for some books to read in Japanese. Manga is not at all the way to go.

You might want to add these two sites to your list: TheJapanesePage (It teaches Hirigana,Katakana,Kanji and most grammer issues, it also has information about the culture and other little funny stuff) Nihongo o Narau (It teaches Japanese like TheJapanesePage, but I think it explains Grammer a lot better) Hermonie Urameshi I am having problmes understanding how the 'ga' particle is used. Can someone help me? Ga is kinda like wa. While 'wa' is the overall topic particle, 'ga' is the subject particle. 'Ga' shows who's doing the action I hope that helped alittle!

I'm currently reading a story in Japanese called The First Night. It's really good, I'll put the first page up on here if anyone wants to read it. It has a lot of good grammar points and vocabulary.

I could read all the Hirigana, I knew naka, miageta, and shiro, and I recognized a few more but I couldn't remember how to pronounce them or what they meant.
