Volk walks along the path adn yawns a little as he seemed both borded and tired to think of osmeway to get into the dance since no one has asked him. "Man no one has asked me yet and......ARGGGG!!!!" He started to pulls on his hair as he tried to find a way to get into it or find a girl he could go with. His tial swayed slowly as he walked even faster.

Makie was glad to find that Oliver was thrilled about the idea. Frankly, she still thought it was strange, just suddenly asking the question 'do you want to climb trees?'. But, thank goodness for Oliver's childish ways. With a small sigh of both relief and happiness, she felt her crush's grip tighten. Makie did the same, tightening her grip while running alongside him. It was soon that they arrived at the big tree.

Makie had come to the big tree on her first day at Ria High. The brunette found this tree fascinating. I mean, the height of that tree! Her soft chocolate eyes widened, she still couldn't believe the height and width of the tree! It had sturdy branches, and it still stood strong. The tree must have been in the same spot for years!

Realizing that Oliver just challenged her to a race, she readied her ribbon. After drawing back the long pink ribbon, she flung it forward at the tree branch. It missed the first few tries, but the ribbon eventually held onto the branch. Hoisting herself up, she flung herself upwards, using the ribbon as her balance. Soon she was on the first branch. Makie used the same strategy until she reached the top. Sometimes, the small teenager would jump two branches at once just to give her a lead.

Normally, Makie would climb up like Oliver, but she couldn't possibly do that at the moment. With her elevated pink heels she couldn't possibly get a grip on the trunk. The small teenager could hardly walk on them anyways, so if she couldn't walk on them, the brunette could certainly not climb trees with them.

Good thing she had her ribbon, Makie would have never reached the top without it. Ah, her ribbon. She used it for a lot of things. Grabbing things, catching things, stopping herself from falling and lots of other things too! On her first day at Ria High, Susie wanted Makie to sit by her, so naturally the brunette agreed. But instead of climbing up, she used her ribbon to get up.

Makie was also competitive just like Oliver. Of course she was upset when she lost, but would rather go cry alone, then to get mad. Although sometimes when she is pushed passed her limits she gets angry. Which of course happened today, but in a competition, it only happened a few times when she was a child. The brunette is still a child and both height and heart, but sometimes she wished she were more grown up. Oliver however, showed Makie that being small and childish isn't soo bad.

The teenager knew some adults who wanted to have their youth back. Where nothing ever mattered. When you could run around without a care in a world. But children had their problems too. Adults who tried to run their life and take control was one problem. Then when they became adults they were in control of their own kids. That's why Makie wished she could never grow up, other times she wished she would.

"I hope I win..." Makie said to herself under her breath. "Oh... I'm so selfish..." The brunette found herself being selfish sometimes. It made her upset to think she was selfish, but she'd always smile or put a straight face on. Makie would always try to hide any sadness or looks of defeat. She was pathetic like that, she never really wanted any one to know what she might really be feeling under smiles or just normal straight faces. Sometimes you could see the sadness or fear in her eyes, and give away what she felt.

But now, a soft, yet determined look was on her face, a hint of worry could be seen as well. Makie wanted to win, but she didn't want to beat Oliver. She wanted to prove herself, but didn't want Oliver to be upset. She was confused on what she should do, but raced on to the top of the tree.

The images of the past battles flooded back into her mind. "What?" Things started to click together, why most people couldn't hear what she could...how she healed so fast. But then she realized something..."I can't be evil, my father was a good man." She turned her head quickly to the side and the vile of her mother's blood came out from under her hair. Fera's hand went to her head as she tried to sort things out.

"Heh..." he muttered under neath his breath as he jumped branch to branch, not like it was a long way down, but he didn't want to trip on misplace his foot somewhere on the tree. He had this child-like laughter filling the courtyard as he raced Makie up the tree, not even giving a specific place for the finish line. But he thought the almost top branch would be fine, since that is the top branch and all. He smiled and gigled at the same time as he swinged to jump to one branch to another, almost like he was a monkey and it was a jungle-jim, his face slightly determined as his grip tightened when he caught a branch, making sure he wouldn't slip. He wanted to win, but, he didn't want Makie to be a sore loser. That would be mean and horrible.

I wonder how Makie is doing? I haven't heard any movements from her since i let go of her hand, i wonder if she is way back in the beginning. Feena told me that girls don't like races because they might brake a nail or something he thought as he swung one branch to another, feeling the leaves rubbed against his cheeks slightly, his black cat hat long gone when he started. Thats when he heard something, it was a sound of a whip, no, a ribbon?

He looked aside from the front view, and right next to him was Makie, she was gainging up on him with dramatic speed, she was quite fast with her movements, but she was using a ribbon. How smart, Oliver didn't think she was cheating since he never said what the rules was, but he thought it was smart for her to use her batte skills on this miniture race. It showed how much she wanted to win. Oliver smirked, he wasn't going to let that happen, not in a million years. Speed is one of his great abilities, if he can master making a yo-yo a deadly weapon then he can be as fast as a spinning yo-yo.

There's no way i'm losing.. he thought as he picked up his speed. But something happened, he misplaced his foot on the tree, missing one step and he started to tumble a bit down the tree, he can feel the branches rubbing and scratching his fragile skin and ripping some of his shirt. He quickly placed his hand in his yo-yo bag and drew out his precious weapon, the yo-yo. With a slick and swift flicker, he threw his yo-yo up. The yo-yo wrapped itself on a branch and swiftly brought his body up, almost like he didn't have nay wieght. ALmost like how Makie used her ribbon, except with a yo-yo.

But his eyes couldn't believe it, Makie beated him to the top branch when he made it up there, but it was a close one. But his smile broke into a pout. He never lost before! Plus, he went to school in a school that was very harsh on him, that if he ever losed he would be thrown into the hole. The hole was where bad students would go and stay there for the whole day. Not like Oliver is a bad kid, he is a very very sweet kid. Sometimes, he'll forget that he is at Ria and he is at his old school.

"Wahhhhh!!!" he cried out once he sat next to Makie on the branch, his legs kicking around like he was a wailing baby crying out for mommy. He was now showing one of his flaws, he selfish side. And he hates it when he cries in front of people. Thats when you could hear loud voices of Oliver's fangirls. They heard his cries and was rushing though the courtyard, trampling anything in their view.

OLIVERRRR!!!!

Those were the scary voices of Oliver's fangirls, last time they saw OLiver was at the festival, but he barely escaped then, and without hesitation and saying anything towards Makie. He swiftly jumped out of the tree and in a flash, he was gone. He was now within the deepest part of the courtyard. And he knew he outran the fangirls. But can Makie find him? Plus, the night was arriving and the daytime was saying good-bye. Oliver, has a great fear of the dark. And without Ai at his side, how will he cope through this?

Heat started to rise in her. "Don't you ever talk about my mother!" Her speed was amazing as she pulled out her gun and shot a hole in the tree right next to his head. "I don't care what you say...creature. All I need to know is that I've got speed and one hell of a shot." Her other hand quickly pulled out her other gun and she crossed her arms in an x in front of her pointed at the man. "If you want to fight, please do. But I will not be told what I am by some large man." The vile on her necklace started to turn a darker red as her anger grew.

Uwasa laughed as she pointed guns as her and all of a sudden sunk into the shadows of the tree. He then came out of her shadow and standing behind her he bent down and whispered in her ear."I told you guns are useless and i can sense that darkness again. Also i'm not a creature my race put's demons and humans to shame little girl so do not tempt me."He said with a slight edge in his voice he already had an orb of shadow energy ready in his hand.
