"That's going straight. I don't know how long breaks will take us." Eve sighed.

"Oh well. We'll get there eventually." Cori said with a shrug, falling silent and searching for anything to say to get her friend to start talking.

Roran snorted. "She might not always use that head of hers, but she's not that stupid." For some reason, all of Roran's anger vanished, and he felt calm and peaceful. Looking around, he sighed. "What do you think will happen to Altarion's lands once we defeat him?" Looking to the Queen, his face was expressionless.

By nightfall, Eve finally stopped and looked around. The weather had changed severely in the last few hours, and now it was snowing heavily. A cave was next to them, and Tuin could sense nothing inside, so the princess jumped off her friend's back and pulled him into the cave. "Come on Cori. We'll rest here for the night." She called.

Cori dismounted, leading the horse inside. "I'll be back, see if I can find enough wood for a fire." she said, going back inside. She was back within ten minutes, bringing back two or three armfuls. "A tree had fallen, I didn't cut something still living." she explained, starting to make the fire now.

The half elf princess nodded her head in approval and then layed her back against Tuin's side. The creature was laying down y now, already asleep, trying to get as much rest as possible. "Roran is going to be mad when Daddy tells him that I banished myself." Eve said with a light laugh. "By the time he gets back to us though, we'll probably be in Cirith."

Cori smiled. "Or we'll already have him done. Wouldn't that be great? For him to come, ready to be all noble and help save the world and all, and he finds that we've gone and finished everything without him." she said, blowing softly on the small flame and feeding wood. Within another minute she had a comfortable fire going, and she sat down beside Eve after she finished.

"In an idealistic world, it would be." Eve replied. "I know I'll meet Altarion face to face several times before the final battle. This will be very taxing on my own time left and Selena's sanity..." She sighed. "I hope something we will see on our journey will calm Selena down some."

"Something will." Cori assured her, doubting it. "There has to be something..." she murmured softer. "Anyway, do you think it'll stay this cold?"

"Until we get off the mountains, it should. Unfortunately, since all of Talagand is up in the mountains, we're stuck up here for a while." Eve said, looking out the entrance of the cave to the snow that blew gently in the wind.

"Joy..." Cori muttered. "Oh well. Think they'll actually help us? Or is there another reason we're here?" she asked, looking to Eve.

"They probably won't help. Even though Altarion can't get them to join him, they won't join us. Talagand is basically neutral." Eve sighed. "But we can gather information. They contain the biggest library in the world." She said.

Leena sighed, watching him as he calmed down, glad that her spell had worked on him. She had been a bit worried that it wouldn't work given how strong his spirit and will was. "There will be chaos when he falls because there will be followers who will try to take control again." She started, looking up to the sky, watching the merlin hawk fly overhead. "At least in his own lands. In the lands he has taken control of, it's hard to say. There will be some still loyal, though they will escape most likely, and the people will regain control of their homes. hopefully. If not, then things will get more... interesting." She murmured softly, sighing heavily as she glanced to him, frowning a little before her expression became impassive. "What do you think will happen since you know the lands best?"

Roran sighed. She was right. The demons' land would be chaos. He was taken aback when she asked for his pinion. It was so unlike the nobles he knew. "Me? Well, ugh, I assume it will be as you said. Interesting would fit best, because the countries Altarion conquered, well, let's just say living conditions aren't great. I doubt people will know what to do, because all the power doesn't belong to them, it belongs to the demons. I mean, yes, there are people like me who get decently high, but when it comes down to it, Altarion rules. For example, Moth has no king. We don't. We have high ranking Mothians, and then there's Altarion. That's it. No Mothian has any say in the government. It's all Altarion. Though, do you really think we'll be invading the demons' land? After all, Altarion does actually legitimatly have power there. I never thought we'd invade his own homeland. I just assumed we'd kill him if he wandered into a different teritorry." Roran was much calmer than usual. He knew it, too. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make his anger rise, so he stopped trying.
