"Th-thank you." Laz muttered as he was handed the drink. He didn't realize that Tari had took a sip from the drink though, and he was somewhat distracted by Zave and Meli. So he just hooked the straw in his mouth absentmindedly and started sipping. Mmm, this IS quite good! He thought, and took a few more sips.
He almost sputtered and spilled his drink when he heard Tari's statement on the Raevan's body structure though. Hastily, he moved the back of his hand up to wipe the bit of water on the side of his mouth, wondering if he should break out in laughter or cry. Zavier's explanation is pretty good though, he just hope that Tari will be able to understand it properly.
However, he is still a little bothered with Meli, wondering if she still recognize him. Carefully, he shifted over towards Meli when Zave gave him the cold shoulder. The sudden change with the weather just now was not difficult to notice, so was Zave's dark glare as well. Perhaps Laz should lay off him for now. He's not sure what to do or say though now that he's next to Meli now. So he just continue to sip on the drink, half the cup is already gone by now.

Sand n' Stuff
If Pasha heard the word 'boobs' one more time, she worried she might actually die from embarrassment. A few stray petals caught in the tiny breeze that seemed to pick up for a moment, and tumbled to float in the water nearby. Suddenly self conscious of her bathing suit all over again, Melisande tried her best to get out a response. "I'm...glad you like the drink, Tariel." She tugged up a bit on the top of her swimsuit with her free hand, but that simply left the curve of her waist exposed. Still blushing, Melisande dropped her hand tried to quit fidgeting with it.
Luckily, she was so distracted by Tari that she missed everything else Laz said...except for his question. "Yes! Or Meli, if you'd like." She dipped another curtsy to Lazarus and dropped her eyes, giving the other Sigel a bit of distance. That was something Rivener had taught her. When someone stared at her like that, with no smile, it probably meant they wanted left alone.
Pasha took a moment to gather her courage, and found her smile again. It was easier, with so much attention around her...it gave her strength, like cereal did in commercials! She listened to Zavier's speech with the same pink in her cheeks, but nodded. He seemed to know what he was talking about! Even if he didn't, he sounded smart and kind anyway, and her worries were driven away by his voice. She peeked out at the tall buildings he motioned to. "You live there? Maybe..." She tucked the bit of hair that was too short to make it into her pony tail back behind her ear, and gave him a hopeful, shy smile. "Maybe we could come back here, someday?"
She'd forgotten about his question, though, too caught up in asking one of her own. "Oh, and fun? Yes!" Melisande nodded, and twisted a bit...motioning a bit (but not pointing) towards the beach bar shade. "I met new Raevans....and they had drinks...and there are sign up papers for games." Melisande leaned forward gracefully and took another little sip of the drink in Zavier's hand without actually taking the glass. When she straightened again, she smiled around at their small group.
"I could sign us up, if you'd like...?"

Beach Bar
Though she was a bit startled at Roux's puffing, she wasn't really surprised. Lucia seemed to handle herself well though, and Aki found herself liking the dark haired Raevan even more. As soon as the confrontation settled down, she tipped her glass against Lucia's for a second 'cheers.'
"I'd say 'Don't let him worry you' but you seem to know that already." Smiling a bit, Aki took another sip, and frowned suddenly at her drink. Weak sauce! Shrugging it off, she swirled her daquiri and nodded out towards the beach. "But I'm glad you and Pasha-ah, Meilsande, get along. Nickname, sorry." No need to confuse the girl. Nodding towards the sign up sheets at the end of the bar, Aki lifted a brow.
"Will you be signing up?"

((Beach Buffet Bar))
Brows furrowed as Roux remained floating a few paces away from the beach bar buffet... he didn't want to be surrounded by all of those people, particularily the ones he didn't know but...
Roux brought the hand not holding his parasol up to press fingertips against his own chest, brows furrowing darkly. What was this strange feeling in his chest... it was heavy, a little like sadness but something else. He didn't want to be near people but he did. The way they all talked to each other but not him, they all just stared at him. Not that he enjoyed talking all that much, or strangers, and he certainly didn't mind others looking at him but he still...
He really didn't like this feeling, especially since he had no name for it yet.

Mouse had internalized Josh's description, wondering what kind of fel essence he had that was causing him so much grief. Surely it couldn't be as bad as hers had been... would Dr. Kyou be so unethical as to send more dangerous fel essences to hapless teenagers like that? Then again, the man was hard to read. Eccentric scientist types always were. Good to see he approved of the food, though.
"I don't work for the Lab either, really. Unless you count raising a couple of their projects and keeping notes on them as 'working'." The mechanic did take the responsibility very seriously, compiling notes of observations and suggesting little theories for both her chimera and her Raevan that were diligently sent up to Dr. Kyou. After all, that's what people were supposed to be doing if they had a Raevan or chimera... right?
Eiry was a... ghost? Like the ankle-high birdlike spirits she could see and feel in her room every once in a while? Her eyes widened in awe and curiosity at the thought that another of her kind could also be so strange and supernatural... she seemed unphased by his sudden change of appearance, instead feeling a ticklish brand of joy from the spirit-Raevan's amusement.
Holding back a small string of laughter from the new 'flavor' she was experiencing was impossible, and she giggled like a small child who had just tried their first soda pop and was surprised by the fizz. Ghosts had tasty emotions! The eagle girl couldn't help but want to be around Eiry more.

Watching the water churn and break over the sand, Alex had fairly zoned out while her friends chatted amongst themselves. Give her head a weary shake - the water was mesmorizing, making her tired - she stood and brushed her sarong off, glancing to Chloe, Isi, Rai and a male whose name she hadn't caught. She picked up her sun glasses and called quietly to her Gwee, who came quickly and without complaint to her shoulder. The woman didn't want to interrupt, but it was obvious that she was going to go for a walk.
Alex made her way along the warm sand, giving a group of chattering Raevans a wide berth (she only recognized one of the males, although the other looked vaguely familiar). She wasn't quite ready to brave the Bar just yet, although she'd find herself there in time for a drink. As it were, she was content to stroll over the warm beach, watching the ocean lap at the sand.

Damien's eyes sparkled. He hadn't been so excited in his life since he had gotten adopted. First, he came to the beach for the first time in his life, and now he had met an owner of a mystical being that his guardian. "Woah... thats so cool... And who is the pretty lady with the pink hair?" Damien shifted his gaze from Isi to Chloe, referring to her as the 'pretty lady'. She seemed like a slightly unsure or nervous person and Damien almost wanted to go up and hug her to make her feel more comfortable. Of course, he knew that wasn't a proper way of making people feel comfortable, especially someone that he hadn't even meant yet.
His attention shifted back to Rai, who seemed as if he would like to do something, and beamed, pointing at each thing he mentioned- the shiny, plastic toys for sand, the large kite being flown by a crowd of people, the beach bar, and finally, the ocean. "Well... we have the whooole beach, theres some sand toys over there, a huge kite, food, and the entire ocean to swim in! I mean, thats what I've read in books anyways." He thought about other things to do on the beach and furrowing his brows, shifted his pale blonde hair out of his eyes. "I wonder if they have any games around here... or if there will be any kind of event..." he mused.

Chloe let Isi lean against her, leaning back against him as well, looking down at the sand as this new person called her 'pretty.' "A-Ah.. I'm s-sorry, did I not introduce myself? I'm Chloe Star... P-Pleased to meet you."
She held out her hand shyly to shake. "Th-There's going to be events, y-yes. Ah.. I th-think a pie eating contest and... paint ball and l-limbo.. and w-when it gets dark story telling, too." She gave a small thoughtful sound. "I s-should go sign up for th-those before I forget." She glanced over Damien's shoulder towards the Beach Bar Buffet, a cool drink might be nice and... she definatly saw Roux over there.

Lucia glanced over at Roux. "Stupid," she said to Aki in reference to the male Sigel. She giggled as she took another sip and her she began to be unable to float steadily in the air, floating up and down.
"Pasha" she repeated. That was easier to say. "Pasha is nice."
Lucia looked towards the sign up sheets where Aki gestured. She tilted her head to the side, looking confused. "Sign up?"
She floated over towards the end of the bar. Pie. . . eating? No that wouldn't be for her because she didn't like to eat much . . . let alone a lot of something. Paintball . . . that sounded fun. Limbo. . . she'd be good at that! Storytime . . . Lucia's mind drifted off to think of stories she had read about good looking guys rescuing sexy females covered in sweat from an evil man who kidnapped them -- like in the books she read of Yuurei's.
She came back to the beach when she hiccuped and giggled. "I don't know, Aki! Will you?"

Location: Beach Bar Buffet
Tango's incessant nudging was bad enough with the pain on her back, but now there was another fretting over her, even aside from Kale. What the hell had actually just happened? Had his hand... really passed through her shoulder? Through it, like it wasn't even really there? Wasn't tangible? She mustered a hushed, though frantic tone to make Tango stop what he thought was being helpful, and only then did she turn to the male who moved away from the bar just to try to help her up.
Ani quickly shook her head and waved her free hand, attempting to reject the offer to be helped up as kindly as possible given the situation. What the hell did she just do to her back? It stung, it burned, and she could feel... wetness on the back... she only hoped that wetness was from Tango's nose and his unhelpful nudges. Very slowly she did manager to raise herself back to a stand, hunched forward slightly in an attempt to not make her scratched up back hurt any more then it already was. The chairs, the damn chairs, she had scraped her back along them during the fall.
Nice.
"I'm-I'm okay..." she told the stranger, still keeping fairly hushed. No doubt she had already raised hellish confusion and she didn't want to do any more to gain unwanted attention. Tango whined at her side, his ears back. Reaching a hand behind her she wiped at her back and brought it back out for her to see.
Oh yeh.
She was bleeding.
Not badly, but it was quite a bit of blood, which meant she had probably gotten numerous scratches all over her back. Lovely!
Glancing at Kale she winced. That was possible? He was... a ghost? If so, he just singlehandedly made all paranormal study go down the tubes in that one instant, as far as she was concerned. But why hadn't Tango... didn't animals react very strongly to the supernatural? In a bad way? Ani shook her head, trying to dismiss the thought as well as Kale's constant spewing of apologies. He obviously hadn't meant it, and how the hell was being a ghost his fault? Whatever, he wasn't dangerous... it was she that freaked out and she that ended up hurting herself, he didn't have a hand in that aside from being the catalyst and that was nothing to blame him for.
Sigh, she scooted herself gently over to the bar and laughed weakly at Mouse, leaning over the side of it awkwardly, "D-.. do you have any bandages and some hydrogen-peroxide?" she hoped that was the right thing, she hadn't actually had to clean any wounds in a good long while, and much less with anything more then good old water. Leaning forward she rested her head between her arms against the bar, turning slightly to see who she was next to for a moment. And then she double taked.
"Josh?"

((Sand 'n Stuff -> Beach Bar))
The beach had become quiet while Niksia stood under the sun, squinting her dark brown eyes in the glare of the light. She ruffled the loose and rather untidy bit of her now bound hair to stop it sticking as much to the back of her neck. There were a few people dotted around on the sand, but mostly in groups and for now that was a bit too daunting for Niksia.
With the event sign ups lingering in alluring fashion at the bar, the red scarfed redhead wandered back over and stood to read them in the bar shadow. Her eyes stayed narrowed but she smiled faintly at the change in temperature, somehow it was close to being blissfully cool around the bar.
'Limbo... Ooo... Story... Hmm. Maybe not pie eating, exploding is not on the menu today... Paintball? Ouch, I don't think I've thick enough skin...' Mumbling spilled out of her little mouth peeking over the mass of scarf as she considered which events to take part in.
A little glance around the bar proved it to be crowded and she flushed slightly. 'Errr...' Maybe a few of them hadn't noticed her talking to herself.
The mention of bandages and peroxide peeked her interest though.
'Salt water maybe? Assuming the sea is decently clean it should help. It'll sting like heck though, about as much as the peroxide maybe?' Another flush as Niksia realised she was probably butting in.

Mouse perked up at Ani's question when she neared the bar counter. One must have wondered why she didn't take notice of the commotion before; being distracted with filling the buffet and being so close to one of the music speakers must have enabled her to effectively tune out anything that wasn't addressing her directly. "Oh, yeah. Just a second." she said, before disappearing beneath the counter.
After rummaging under the table for a few nervous seconds, she re-emerged with an emergency first aid kit. There was always the chance that someone was going to get themselves hurt, and so the right precautions had been taken to make sure they were prepared if and when it happened. It was placed on the table with a metallic clank that would probably be enough to take Anita's attention away from the familiar face long enough to clean herself up.

Aki's brows knit slowly as she watched Lucia flutter. Looking from Lucia's drink, with no umbrella, to her OWN drink, with a little pink umbrella, Aki slowly figured it out. Not only had she given Lucia the wrong glass, it was an obvious distinction. Umbrella=virgin!
Her slender ears drooped a bit, leveling in consternation. "Will I sign up? Hmmm....First, let's trade drinks! " Casually, she made a slow grab for the Raevan's drink, offering her own drink up instead in return in one smooth motion if Lucia allowed it. "Second, Roux isn't stupid. He's sharp, darling, and you'd do well not to forget it. Third...sure! I'll sign up for Limbo. Why not!"

Lauma appeared unamused by Eiry's 'scary face' as she stared in precisely the same way as before he made it. Her mouth may have twitched up a fraction of a millimeter though. Although, whether it was perceptible even at Eiry's close range was undetermined. "I'm not that little..." she said quietly trailing off, referring both to the fact that Eiry wasn't scary just becuase of his face (she still thought he was pretty,) and to the fact that Eiry had called her "little one."
Also, what he said didn't make sense. The minty one had said that he was a ghost but the golden female was not. They both had only chests, they both floated, and they both had glowy bits inside them with ribbon like parts. They were both of the same thing. So they were either both ghosts or neither of them were. "Why isn't she a ghost?" Lauma asked looking up at eagle girl. After a moment's pause she added, "You aren't going to possess me like some ghosts are you..." and with an entire break in the subject added, "You're very... pretty...,"
Jupiter on the other hand, had managed to get himself more tangled up than most people could manage purposefully. He wiggled and pulled on straps, managing to get two bags off. He pulled the umbrella free of the mess and stabbed it into the sand next to him to get it out of the way. Of course it had to pop open, leaving a large pool of shade surrounding Jupiter, drawing attention to him, and knocking the large inflated beach ball away. Caught by the wind, the inflatable rainbow ball bounced almost cheerily down the beach.
"Guh...gah!" Jupiter felt like pounding his fists into the sand but instead filtered the anxiety towards getting the bags off, and spotting Lauma. He found her... talking with two floating creatures! That wasn't right! Jupiter couldn't see ghosts! He'd never seen a ghost in his life and really had never been around Lauma when she saw ghosts. Were these some sort of solid ghosts? And why was Lauma taking the risk of talking to them? AND WHY COULD HE SEE THEM?!
The thoughts raced through Jupiter's head, as he pulled the third bag off. "Darn these stupid bags!" Jupiter thought.

Without waring Chris found herself beaned in the head by a beach ball. It didn't really hurt (it was a beach ball of course), but it still caught her off guard. "Wha-?!" She exclaimed, looking around for where the heck it had come from.
Cierra jerked her thumb in the direction of Jupiter. "It bounced away from that guy. It looks like he might need some help."
Looking to were Cierra had indicated, Chris saw a boy having a bunch of trouble with the numerous bags he was holding. Picking up the beach ball, she headed over to where he was, hoping to get rid of some of the guilt on not acting on the other thing earlier. Cierra came with Chris, in case another pair of hands were needed.
Arriving by the boy, Chris hesitantly held out the beach ball. "Um.... I think this is yours. Is... there anything else I can do to help?"
