Liah gazed, transfixed at what Sintariun was doing. Her eyes grew wide as she purposely cut her hand herself. "Sintariun..." She whispered, still being protected by Damon, "What are you doing?" The last part was a bit louder but it was also full of shock. Her friend was hurt, regardless if the wound was self inflicted. She felt compelled to try and help her anyway. "Sintariun! Are you ok?" She had finally found her full voice, hoping that her friend would hear her above the battle cries.

Zen was having little luck fending off the two beetles that were teaming up against him. His sword bounced off their tough outer shells. The beetles kept coming closer and Zen kept backing up. Then he heard a hiss behind him. He looked and saw a third beetle coming up from behind. "You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you guys were teaming up against me." he said to the beetles, although he would find it a suprise if they answered him.
One beetle rushed at him. Zen couldn't use the same move he had on the first beetle in time. He tried to block the attack with his sword, but was only knocked back into the beetle behind him. Then, the beetle behind him opened its jaws, ready to crush him. Zen had only one shot. He stuck his sword into the beetle's mouth and stabbed it so that the beetle wouldn't swallow it. Now he was agains three beetles, and swordless. The beetles starting closing in on him. He needed to think of something fast.

Sintariun glanced up at Liah and winced noting that she'd seen that the wound on her hand had been done by her own hand. E'rr iqbroem rodil, E blanezi. The elf backed up so she was beside Liah wanting to protect her friend as well.

(I'll explain later, I promise.)

The beetles were getting to the point that they weren't letting up. She had managed to kill one, and one injured her already hurt arm. The right hand was stinging badly, but it didn't seem to phase her any. She would kick over a beetle by its under side when it attacked her. Gia had jumped back when it did that but managed to knock the beetle on its back. Her sword again being used as a cleaver to cut the beetle into pieces. Her right arm at this time was just dangling at her side while she fought off the beetles attacking her. Gia kept the spell she was sending forth through the air to ensure that her fellow party mate's own healing rate was sped up. She didn't want them to retain injuries for long. Her concern was their ability to get up again and survive these beetles. Gia knew eventually her magic would be drained and she would have to rest, but she would keep this to herself.

Alwyn kept going her own energy draining she wondered how it was that she had yet to be significantly harmed. The acidic saliva had eaten at bits of her cloths to the point of making contact with her arm. her move ments had slowed significantly and beads of sweat could be seen on her fore head. it was at that moment that she noticed Zen. She looked at him and then shouted. "Can you hold your balance well Zen..." She waited a moment before deciding that if she was careful enough she might not blow him that far away. But she waited for his answer as she nocked another beetle over amd was ceremoniously hit by another... "Cant kep this up for long..."She said quietly she was beggining not to be able to ignore the pain.

Ramiel growled and roared like a savage beast as he fought the swarming beetles. His behavior was like that of an animal, far different from his battles earlier in the day. There was little skill in his movements, just pure brute strength.

For those that had gotten close enough or could see well enough they may have noticed that his pupils had slitted, his canines seemed to have grown as well, turning into savage fangs.

Stranger still however the beetles seemed to swarm towards him more often then the others, as if they had some sort of reason to hunt him above the others.

As time passed it would slowly begin to seem like the number of these beasts were endless, swarming in from all directions to feast on the fresh prey within their woods. There appeared to be a chattering hissing pile that had almost completely covered Ramiel, however this mass of bugs didn't last long as many were soon sent flying in all directions, colliding with tree's and other beetles.

Letting our another inhuman roar he charged forward back into the fray. He seemed to plow through the beetles, almost as if he'd done this a million times before, and in truth he indeed had, but thats a story for another time.

Zen looked to Alwyn for a moment. "Sure." he answered to her question. But then he turned his attention back to the beetles. One charged. Zen had to use all his strength to hold it back. Luckily, he saw his chance. As the beetle tried pushing him into another beetle, he shifted his stance a little, and flipped the beetle upside down. He took the momentary distraction to pull his sword out of the third beetle's mouth. Then he stabbed the upside down one.

Alwyn pushed a beetle away and then sent her bit of wind Zens way knocking over a beetle as it went. Zen would feel an extreamamount of wind go past him enough to knock him off his feet if he wasnt careful. She then stabbed the beetle she hd nocked over now fighting alongside Zen she threw the bit of air iot the sky not able to hold it anymore. She lashed out with her sword and pulled the small dagger from her boot. Both were one handed weopons so she was able to use them both at entervals. "These things just wont let up will they..." She said breathlessly as she had a small moment of repreave.

"Alwyn..Zen shield your eyes for a moment, everyone else that is hurt as well. I'm going to activate the spell I casted on you. It will heal your bodies.." Gia's eyes were dilating, but she didn't care as she seemed to be fighting and concentrating at the same time. The glow of her eyes getting stronger as she raised up her good arm long enough to stab another beetle in its chest after it had been kicked over by her. She had to focus on her magic though to heal the others. Gia wouldn't care if they didn't accept the spell or not. She just felt that this battle wasn't going to be the end of it. The silver of her wings was dulling in shimmer and seemed to vanish from her back as she stood there on the ground. "Thank you element of the winds..heal them well." Her voice came strong, but sounded like it might have an echo to it as a mist bursts out of her body to flow outwards towards Alwyn, Zen, Jason, Sintariun, Sari, Tori, Liah, Seirei, and Sintariun's friend in an effort to try and heal their words. Gia's own wounds wouldn't be healed as she'd collapsed to the ground against a rock unconscious by this time. She wasn't dead, just exhausted using a mass spell like this one to heal multiple wounds taking a toll on her.

Sintariun had kept her fist clenched and then paused as she felt no pain. Glancing down, the elf opened her hand and watched as the cut healed itself. Gazing up wondering what was the cause of this change, the elf spotted the one with wings seeming to be speaking and everyone's wounds were healing. Looking to her shoulder, even the skin there was healing quickly. Nodding in gratitude, Sintariun gasped seeing the female pass out. Looking to Liah and seeing that she was protected, Sintariun leaped forward and grabbed the winged human. Holding her carefully, the elf managed to take her over to where Liah and her friends resided so they could protect the one that had healed them.

At least I knew my family for a while Tori thought listening to Jason speak. She was about to reply when she heard Ramiel's roar. Then, she noticed the swarm of insects heading their way. She gripped her axe tighter as one landed in front of her. The disgusting creature charged at her, but Tori just stood there. It was the same height as her, yet bigger in the width. When the insect was one foot in front of her, Tori swiftly leaped forward and kicked the creature in the face. She had heard Ramiel's comment about them so she knew the attack would barely penetrate it's natural born armor, but the insect still fell backwards from the opposing forces. With the insect's underside momentarily revealed, she charged forward and swiftly jabbed her axe through the insect. She didn't aim the attack, but the weapon had gone all the way through the bug. Tori pulled her axe back, making more blood spill from the insect. Just incase to blow didn't kill the insect, she aimed for it's heart. Just as the first creature was killed, she felt the presence of another one. She whipped around and saw two of the insects standing behind her, their saliva dripping from their mouths.

Alwyn felt the healing go through her and watched Gia fall. "She over exerted her energy..." She said out loud. And Alwyn wasnt able to get to her her own energy now being conserved to use anymore could cause her to be like Gia. She knocked aside another beetle her breath coming in gasps with exaustion it was merly the want to survive that was keeping her going.

Seirei felt the healing wind pass over him, glad for the thought but his body didn't work in such a way that this would help. Until he was out of energy he would just be dispersed like a ghost and all would be well, and being in a place such as this where his powers returned to him rapidly it wasn't needed. He turned into mist so he could look all around at once and saw Sintariun carrying one of the others out of the fight. His method of killing the damn bugs was working rather well, but he was needing to smack them up more as they were getting more protective of there weak flesh. He flew up into the air a bit to get over everyone and reformed a few feet off the ground in front of Sintariun, blades at the ready. "Bet you could use the help," he said, knowing that she couldn't understand him but Liah was right there so they could talk.

Zen stabbed another beetle that had been flipped over by Alwyn's wind. He looked over and saw Gia on the ground. He was going to have to thank her later. "Alwyn, I can handle things here now if you want to help any of the others if they need it. Thanks for the help earlier." he said as he fought off another beetle. He looked around to see if any of the others actually needed assistance, but they seemed to be doing well for the most part.

Ramiel continued to fight savagely, as he did his form seemed to blur and shift. A low growl rumbled in his through as he tore through the flesh of the beetles, his eyes still slits.

As he fought visions of the past drifted through his head....

A forest, green and serene, like a lake on a clear spring morning. Suddenly something explodes, all turns black. Elves flee everywhere, mothers carrying children, men trying to protect their escape routes, and from within a creeping smoke a pair of yellow glowing eyes and the howl of a savage beast.

Later, flames licked the sky as the parts of the now black forest burned, blood pools on the ground and around corpses. The howl of a beast in great pain wrenches the air.

Suddenly Ramiel stopped, his pupils returning to their original shape, his senses returning. "I knew I shouldn't have returned here" He muttered to himself, his foot going through the bottom of a beetle "Hmm....just drones...so then where's the...no..its best that it is just drones" He muttered to himself, taking up his sword and charging back into the fray.
