The mist, while voluminous was not enough, or more likely it was not focused in one place. The white air foam was dispersed around his area, but not generally focused around him. Shisei needed to concentrate it more around his frame so he would be completely masked from the world. The youth concentrated pulling the smoke like chakra closer to his body. It began to assemble at his feet and ankles where the clouds of white completely masked his sandals. The gold eyes stared downwards at the rising fog with an emotionless face. Shisei did not show any joy or pleasure in doing this move. To him it was just another trial. One that should have been done. His mind drifted off to the thought of how long it usually took the average academy student to complete this technique. At the thought the serpent youth also wondered how long the Tenmoki kid would take to complete the jutsu. It was boy who had his mother and Yuki, whatever her relation to him maybe, working with him. That should give him a natural advantage for gaining new techniques. Should anyways. Gold eyes did not shift to the light haired boy also training to learn a technique, but Shisei would keep in mind if the youth showed anything peculiar. Other than the fact his mother felt the need to baby him in the middle of jutsu training.

The snake student was happy his mother was not like that. Some children needed more coaxing, but the youth of Orochi was certain he did not need such treatment. After all how could hugs and showings of affections help? Would the boy’s mother also be with him on the battlefield? At the thought violet hair also had to consider that perhaps the Tenmoki kid may not be directly on the battlefield. Similar to Yuki, perhaps the boy was just going in to learn medical techniques. Or maybe just focus on medical skills after. Shisei was slightly curious to maybe one day ask the boy what his purpose was in the shinobi arts. Only slightly. The rational part of the youth could only predict it was something foolish like his other peers what he wanted. Those pipe dreams that they each held on to that were just waiting to be slain by reality. In the end the youth supposed that those with little dreams could continue on and achieve them. The things the serpent youth was searching for was grandiose so there was no time in wasting on the ants. The gold eyes refocused on the fog around his feet and allowed it to increase up to his lower body. Next was condensing the fog so that it would make sure that his entire lower half was completely hidden. This next step was harder than the first and the serpent youth remained stuck on it for a minute.

Condensing the fog over a larger surface was more difficult than the boy suspected to begin with. While his feet were ok to do the rest of his lower torso proved more difficult. The gold eyes closed to increase his concentration. Things were better in the darkness of his mind where the boy saw the world differently. On Shisei’s mind he could see the world like a grid. Things constructed by lines and shapes with no color. Things with numbers and percentages to keep them exact. The white smoke billowing around his form was just an outline now, no different than linear art. With everything complexly simplified the boy began to count the percentages of the veil that increased over his body. “30%.... 31%.... 32%... 33%....” his mind calculated. The mist rose slowly, but it was surely covering his body in a thicker form. The silhouette of his lower body looked more like a hazy mirage about to dissipate. Yet to gain it at that level was not enough. The maverick student needed perfection which would come soon for now he needed understanding of the chakra that was produced and the mist that covered him. With that would come a darker veil and perfect seclusion within it.

“50%... 51%... 52%...” the numbers continued in the kid’s mind like a rooster that crowd in the morning to wake up the world. It was Shisei’s wake-up call for success. The mathematical mind continued the count while the mist began to cover his upper torso. Starting with the shapeless abdomen only showing a bit of physique for a soon enough creation of a four pack. Like a spider up a tree the clouds of technique kept creeping higher around the small frame. To his chest and then around the narrow shoulders and nimble body. Finally the neck and head became covered in a white that could match the boy’s skin. Yet if he opened his eyes, the gold serpentine eyes would still have been apparent. Also the violet dreads were not as camouflaged like the rest of his body. His form was slowly becoming hazed though. Just as his lower body, the upper torso was quickly becoming a hazy apparition of the twilight. All the while Shisei was considering his approach to the technique. “My chakra is not large enough to slowly create this technique. That will be wasted energy. Converting chakra into smoke is not difficult, but molding the density proves to be trickier. The dread locks are an off color from the brown and my eyes stick out too much. I will not keep my clothes when I perform this technique in battle. That would only lead to being possibly attacked. When I disperse this chakra I’ll have to focus it more at my eyes. There’s also…” the boy of solitude continued to contemplate. A minute later it seemed his brain came to some answer and the boy dropped the ram seal and swatted his clouds of chakra away as breaking through the surface of water. Once the smoke dissipated pale fingers once again created the ram seal and boy closed his eyes. The tactician like brain was contemplating something that only it knew. So Shisei stood there unflinching as if waiting for something to occur.

The wind blew softly in the beginning of the new day bringing movement to all the animate creatures. The inanimate objects remained fixed to a spot. Shisei would seem like a median between the two at this point in time. His body was as still as a rock or tree, but there were small breaths resonating from his lips as proof that the youth was indeed alive. His eyes remained closed as if waiting for that one moment and then suddenly his eyes flashed open and a burst of smoke erupted from his body. The mist immediately covered his entire body not even revealing the golden orbs that usually pierced through darkness. His form was just a misty outline but even that disappeared quickly in the white smoke. As intense as the mist erupted from the youth’s body it was controlled. It did not dissipate any further than two feet away from the child and completely masked his form. “Increasing the density of my chakra around my head first was the correct move to do. My eyes are the first thing to disappear and once that’s gone everything else was easy to hide. White smoke fits perfectly with my skin so this part of the jutsu is not a problem.” the snake child thought to himself, pleased at the progress so far. Within the veil of clouds his head pivoted slightly to notice the boy and his mother. He was still training to and his progress was not up to Shisei’s as yet. Turning away the small frame stepped out of the clouds and moved closer to the medical teacher. Amber orbs staring up at the woman the serpent youth only had one sentence to speak to the woman. “What is the next step?”

A dull ache in her muscles told Akiko that this technique was taking its toll on her. She needed to keep up her chakra as best she could. Certainly, she needed it to keep the illusion up, but letting too much out at once would be both wasteful and harmful. Akiko held on, holding her hands in the seal of the Ram. The smallest stray strands of smoke swiftly swished around her form as she maintained her focus. The image of her mother and her mannerisms began to fade from her mind, but she caught herself and forced it back to the forefront of her thoughts.
She realized that, though it may be difficult, she would be able to use this jutsu well enough for practical purposes. She thought for a moment about how most ninja would be expected to use it. She reasoned that disguising and subterfuge would be helpful in a number of different situations. Realizing that she would eventually need to put this into practice, she glanced around the room, looking for a target. Her brother was too easy--though she believed in his potential, she knew he probably wasn't skilled enough to see past the illusion. The other child was working on the jutsu, as well. Judging by the way he held his head, she took him to have an analytical mindset, much like herself. It might be interesting to try him, seeing how it could go either way. He might not be a big-picture sort of guy, but he could likely pick out subtle details that would give her away. Then again, she thought, he didn't have any basis of knowledge regarding the true Mori Midori, so she abandoned the thought. Besides, he was busy focusing on the jutsu he was learning; it wouldn't quite be fair.
She turned her head to the other end of the room. There before her lay her quarry: Tenmoki Yuki. It would be difficult, without a doubt, but she would be the perfect challenge for her newly-acquired jutsu.

Akiko narrowed her eyes and straightened up. Mimicking her own mother was easy enough for her; she did it a lot during her early rebellious stage. In any case, Midori was her idol: a sensible, powerful woman, if weathered a little by the years. She always watched her mother whenever she interacted with others. She was patient and polite, but she was never a pushover. She wasn't the least bit stubborn, but she could coax people into seeing her point of view or, if all else failed, adapt her own views instead. Even in the darkest bouts of poverty, she focused not on where she was but on where she was going. It was that sort of determination into which Akiko now needed to tap.
She walked forward a few paces, closing the gap between the two. She made direct eye contact--though not always encouraged in their society, she didn't want to make it appear as if she had something to hide. In this battle of illusion, appearances meant everything. She brushed a strand out of her face, tucking her hand behind her ear. "The child is finally asleep. I spent all night trying to lull her to sleep, and she decides instead to slumber at daybreak. Too many more nights like that and I'll have to rise with the moon." She laughed weakly, something her mother wasn't prone to do unless she was approaching exhaustion. "Ah, but I digress. Good morning, sister. I see your students are progressing well. You simply must tell me about my children's progress once I have the time." She walked past her sister and opened the window on the far wall. The sounds of the first birds chirping carried into the room and faintly echoed. She took in a deep breath, not so much to savor the dawn's sweet air but rather to calm her nerves. She wasn't necessarily the mischevious type, but she needed to set some goal for herself--something tangible to mark her success. She felt a little guilty for what she was about to do, but she didn't want to waste this opportunity, either. She turned her head over her shoulder, gazing up at the cabinets behind Yuki. "By the way, I need to pick up some medicine today at the market. Could you spare two ryo? I'm afraid I'm a little short."

[Spring 1 - night]
Yuki stood by quietly as the two boys before her trained as hard as they could. Well, maybe not as hard as they could. This was Koyuki's first training exercise after all and Yuki doubted the boy even knew what trying his hardest felt like. "The next step is written here in these notes, sugar," the woman said, handing Shisei a scroll of hers. She had a million of the written scrolls for the academy. Over the six years of teaching, she had lost, found and created many training scrolls for her students. "I have to get to bed since I'm training everyone in techniques tomorrow. If you want to learn more, just stop by the class, Shisei," Yuki invited the Orochi to class once again. As she stood up, Akiko, transformed into her mother, approached Yuki. The woman couldn't help but smile. "Akiko-chan! You've learned quite well, but don't over do it now. Your voice gives you away," Yuki said, shaking her finger at her niece.

Shisei watched as the medical woman left him to attend to the other woman. Or perhaps not another woman. Someone in disguise? That is how it sounded to the serpent youth. If it was another student then they came far already. Perhaps the new class did have some potential. Maybe.... Shisei shrugged it off and began walking away into the night. "...Perhaps I will see you at class tomorrow then.. the monotone voice stated to the older woman, although there was hint that it was also directed to Koyuki and the suspicious woman. The small lifeless stare the cold child gave them after was a confirmation of it. With that Shisei left into the dead of night. He did not want to woman to think he had forgiven her, yet at the same time it was obvious to both that the loner needed her to learn more jutsu. At least for now.
Shisei left into the night, forgetting his promise to Kanami. He did training of his own with the notes that Yuki had given him throughout the night. Still the child figured he may need some supervising just in case which lead him to the Hyuuga's room early in the morning....

Akiko sighed. She supposed her aunt was too difficult a target, after all. She dropped the genjutsu in a sudden puff of smoke, revealing a blushing child with her eyes cast to the floor. She looked--and felt--like she had just gotten caught with her hand in the cookie jar. She felt a little discouraged that she had been found out so easily. What made it even worse was that she had tried to do something she ordinarily would never do. She pondered over her reasons for electing to use her relative in that way. Ultimately, she couldn't find anything that could quite hold up to a logical dissection. So, she abandoned the thought, though it still nagged at her from time to time thereafter.
"I... I'm sorry, Aunt Yuki. I..." She tried to bring herself to apologize properly, to explain herself, to do ANYTHING. The words wouldn't come. She turned around and started walking back to her room. Finally, almost as an afterthought, she finally worked up the courage to say, "I'll be in my room. I'm really tired." She reached her bed and, almost as soon as she lay her head upon the pillow, fell into a deep slumber.

((I think I get what you're saying. I didn't roll genjutsu the first time because it was an auto-success. I guess I should've done it anyhow. That means the disguise check is out.
Don't you still have to make a sense check to see through the illusion, though? Or are your stats so high that it's an auto-success, too?))

[Spring 1: Night]
Koyuki watched as the other two relatives of his spoke, briefly, only staring at his, now apparent, sister. He was a little more than just surprised, but after a little bit of thought, it did make sense. Still his brain was now replaying the scene from earlier over and over in his head, with a look of both confusing and disturbance. He wasn't quite sure what to say, at that point.
Noticing that his body was getting a bit tired, due to the training, and the fact that it was the middle of the night, the boy shook his head (removing the thoughts from the prior event) and said to no one in particular," Well, I'm heading to bed. Too confused to keep practicing. Night, all." With that statement done, he turned and walked out of the room and back to his own, where he laid back down and, quickly, fell asleep once more.

[Yuki's stats are ridiculously high, cause she's lvl 60. My bad though. I should write it down even if it is an auto-success.]
[Enter Spring 2]
Yuki was up with the sun as she made breakfast in the kitchen with Ayumi in her own little chair like usual. Yuki had thought about a trip to Mugendai for Akiko and Koyuki, but she thought that maybe a trip would be too soon for the students. Aya would be a good instructor for the two once they came closer to genin rank. "Akiko! Koyuki!" the short woman hollered through the house, calling her neice and nephew down for breakfast. Yuki had made some pastries, egg rolls and bacon this morning, which was a small breakfast for the woman to cook, but she had more student profiles to write down in scrolls today since a few Yamanakas had joined the academy along with some other unknown students.

Akemi was feeling rather good after her morning work out. She was thinking maybe she would try doing something like that everyday, but as soon as the thought crossed her mind, she couldn't help but smirk a bit, she knew she wasn't very good at sticking to commetments, even if they were ones that she came up with on her own. Oh well, she would have to see. The girl busyed her hand as she walked by tieing her hair up a little tighter at the back of her head as she walked up the path to the Tenmoki woman's house. She sighed to herself because she didn't know what to expect from the woman today, so she just approached the door and knocked loudly saying, "Hello!!! Anybody home?"

[Spring 2: Morning]
Koyuki, surprising even to himself, was actually awakened by his Aunt's call. He was too excited to wait until later, so he had been waking and sleeping again, on and off. When he finally heard Yuki's call, he rushed to get dressed, then ran down stairs, just as there was a knock on the door.
He decided to take it upon himself to answer it, and said loudly in the direction of his Aunt, whom was in the kitchen," I got the door!" Upon opening the door, he found that it was Akemi, whom was only slightly shorter than him. He had heard a bit about her, but not enough to expect anything. Giving a friendly smile to the blonde haired girl, he greeted her with a surprisingly energetic," Morning, Akemi-chan! What brings you here this early?"

Akemi didn't have to wait to long until someone answered the door. But it wasn't Yuki... some boy. "Do I know you?" she asked looking at the boy a bit puzzled. He had known her name, but she didn't think she had ever met this boy before... She then just shrugged, letting her face fall back into it's usual emotionless, blank face. "Yuki is here right?" she asked blankly. She wanted to tell then Tenmoki woman that she had completed the training with Kolo. "I need to see her."
