Lin's eyes lit up with pure joy and excitement, not only had Elros and Serenity come back but Daeron was with them. Darn it she should have brought Nina with her, oh well that would probably be a bad idea since Nina would have to stay in the house and she would then drive Haradhel crazy.

No... probably better not to have Nina.

"Look there they are! Shiro, Daeron's with them too, so you can talk to him too!"

She waved back.

Shiro beamed as he waved to the group that was approaching. He had never met any of the three before, but he had heard quite a bit about all of them, from various different people.

"Which one is Daeron and which one is Elros?" he asked Lin softly, since it was quite obvious which one was his grandmother.

At least it wasn't hard to explain who was who since the two were as differenet as night and day. In so many more ways than one as well.

"The tall blond man is Elros, and the other man with black hair is Daeron, Daeron... believe it or not is Ruel's son," she murmured softly to him, "So that makes him your cousin."

"Uh oh," Shiro murmured softly, his red eyes growing darker. "I hope he's not like Uncle Ruel ... Uncle Ruel was not nice at all ..."

Ura looked up at Shiro sharply, sensing the neko's sudden disease. He didn't say anything, but he put one hand on Shiro's knee reassuringly, offering up a grim smile.

"Hello, Lin," Elros called out as the trio drew near. "It's wonderful to see you again. Sorry to have kept you waiting."

He chuckled softly, in an uncharacteristically good mood.

Serenity's eyes were dancing with excitement. "Elnara's here too, right?" she asked eagerly. "With all of the children?"

She looked down at Shiro and Ura brightly. "Lin, you have to introduce us - are these some of my grandsons?"

Daeron just held back a bit and grinned. He knew how anxious his grandmother was to meet the rest of her grandchildren, and he didn't want to interrupt.

Aliya smiled brightly at Feng. "I think it would be a lot of fun," she agreed excitedly. "Maybe if you come when Adonijah's a bit older we could go somewhere, on a trip or something! There's a lake town to the north that I've been wanting to see, or of course there's the coast or ... or anywhere, really!"

She looked down at the feeding infant once more, and giggled softly. "Though of course that requires that once Adonijah's big enough, we don't go having more children," she laughed.

Feng giggled insanely at that, she understood what Aliya had meant by that. After all she was gaining quite a fair number of children herself, though four was about average, at least Feng thought so.

"Well it depends on how old is old enough," Feng grinned, "But coming when he's a bit older isn't hard, it's making sure he isn't too old is the hard part."

Lin grinned she knew that it would be alright with these three! Of course it would be, Daeron was more or less use to odd things (can't get any odder than Nina) and Serenity knew better and so did Elros.

"This is Shiro," she pointed to her winged nephew, "And that is Ura, and yes they are Nara-sissy's kids, and I already told them about you before you go here so they know."

Shiro could see that all three of them were smiling quite kindly, even Ruel's son, and he felt better immediately.

"Hello," he said shyly, having learned by this time that the people here didn't speak Japanese, though it was his most comfortable language of greeting. "I'm pleased to meet you all."

So much easier when he could use only one word to convey an entire meaning.

"Pleased," Ura added in the same soft tone that Shiro had used.

Serenity giggled and knelt next to her two grandsons.

"By the Valar, you two are adorable," she said warmly, reaching out and pulling both of them in for a hug. She squeezed them both briefly, then let them go again. "Shall we go in and see Elnara and the others?" she asked eagerly. "Or do you want to stay out here with the others?"

Daeron stepped forward now and grinned at Lin. "Welcome back," he told her cheerfully, squatting down so that he would be closer to her height. "I would imagine you must have seen my brother recently, have you? How is he?"

Aliya grinned impishly at Feng. "Never too old," she laughed. "The twins were three years old when we took them west, they were wonderful. Besides, the traveling itself is so tiring for them that we don't need to worry so much about them."

She giggled softly. "Adan got to ride his own horse the whole way," she told her friend, a little more softly. "He was so proud ... Amdir and I each had one of the twins ride with us. Though I suppose that if we did want to take all four children, we could get Aragost to come with us. He really is wonderful."

Feng giggled, though she wasn't sure if Aragost would leave for a trip. Then again she didn't know him that well so for all she knew maybe he would after all.

"I can only imagine how happy Adan must have been."

Lin thought about it, and she had seen Earendil, and it had been the same as usual. In fact they had played last time if she recalled correctly...

"He's doing good," Lin nodded, "We played and it was all fun. Are you here for a visit or here to stay?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 07, 2008 6:48 pm

"We'll stay out here," Shiro grinned at Serenity, his eyes shining brightly with pleasure at the way he had been accepted. "It's kind of crowded inside, and I'd like to explore a bit, if I may, and learn as well."

Ura smiled up at Serenity as well, his actions once more reflecting Shiro's emotions. "Stay outside," he agreed. "Keep Shiro safe."

Serenity smiled at the boys, then rose to her feet again. "All right, I'll see you two later then," she said warmly; and with that, she waved to the others and dashed towards the house.

Daeron grinned at Lin. "To stay," he told her cheerfully. "At least for a while. I've done enough traveling for quite a while, and I think they could really use my help here. Besides, you were right. It was horrible of me not to know my cousins. Here I can help raise them a bit, the same way Uncle Elrohir helped to raise me and Earendil."

Elros chuckled softly. "Did you want to have more lessons right away, Lin?" he asked. "Or did you want to wait until tomorrow? Or, it is quite a lovely day, we could have your lessons outside and include Shiro and Ura, if they would like."

By looking at Shiro, he had a feeling that the demon neko was anxious to learn. He couldn't say why, it was just a feeling.

Aliya laughed again. "You should have seen him. You would have sworn he was a prince, the way he was riding! I mean ... he is," she added sheepishly, "but I mean he actually looked as if it meant something. Proud as a griffin, I swear it."

Beneath the blanket, Adonijah sneezed suddenly, and Aliya sighed softly and closed her shirt again, then draped the blanket over her shoulder and lifted him to her shoulder as well, patting his back once more.

Feng giggled at that, she could completely understand what Aliya meant and could imagine Adan doing something like that. Though proud as a griffin brought other funny images to mind really.

"Well, it is like saying he's a big boy," Feng replied back, "And that ability to do something when you're older is always something to be really proud of."

Lin thought about it, there was still a good amount of day left to be honest. They could always have a quick lesson, and she was sure Shiro and Ura would like it. Well, it wash ard to tell what went through Ura's head, but she knew Shiro would like it.

"Yea! Let's have it out here," Lin grinned, "Shiro is learning too, but he can learn really fast and he's already using big words."

She paused for a moment before looking up at Daeron next.

"That's good, it's good to stay in one place sometimes, and best of all there are a lot of people here now. Also, Triton came this time, and Tao is with the twins at Aliya's place."
