Lazarus's eyes widen at the spell on the ground. Though for single combat the spell would prove a moot point, aginst an army, he would be King with that kind of fire-power. But this was not his quest, and these were not his friends. He was a stand in, helping people because it was what was right. He leaned his back aginst the wall, and tilted his head down. His arms crossed over his chest, with his walking stick resting in the crook of his elbow. Silently he waited for the group to sort through the loot.

Perrian Perrian smiled at feeling the gentle aura and remained holding the staff. He unequipped his sorcer's amulet and forcefield and placed both in the loot bag to be taken back by him at the end of this adventure. Although the staff is now equipped and he feels the gentle aura, Perrian does notice that his life is now lower because of his lack of needed equip by 2 points. (Perrian is equipping the staff. Perrian's health is now 30/30 and magic is back to 3. Should I repost my stats with the changes I mentioned or no?) I will adjust my post of your Stats accordingly.

Perrian studies the staff that is now in his hands and then glances up to see Lazarus staring at the spell. "Lazarus, you may take the spell unless the others disagree. I am no mage of damage causing and neither of the rest of us are mages so I doubt you'd have any opposition to your taking of the spell." Perrian said.

Fury pipes up at Perrian's statement,"I really don't think anybody else would have any use for such a thing; it's almost as if the Spell was meant for you, Lazarus... mrgreen Let it go where it best may serve the needs of the party. Speaking of which, that Blessed Thief should go with you as well Perrian; Your the one who will have the greatest ability to use it, should the opportunity arise. The rest of us tend to spend our AP on a fairly regular basis, your the only one who seems to accrue it."

Perrian nodded. "If you think so, I'll take it and use it wisely." Perrian said in response to Fury's statement and walked over to grab the Blessed Thief ability.

Lazarus balked, nearly dropping his staff. He looked from Perrian, to Fury, and then back again. "I... I do not think that would be right... I am only here because Master Gerbo was called away to battle the fourth edition of a series of dungeons and dragons. I understand how a dragon can be a the fourth edition, but not a dungeon... That is not the point... I still don't feel it would be right if I took it..." Lazarus trailed off in the middle of his sentence.

Perrian sighed and shook his head. "Lazarus, take it. I doubt anybody else here could use it in our group, so just take it." Perrian said and picked up the spell. He walked the spell over to Lazarus and placed it in Lazarus's hands.

Speachlessly, Lazarus accepted the spell. He stood there, jaw lowered, looking at Perrian. Lazarus was not one used to kindness, so he did not know what to do. After a moment, he pulled his arms close to his body, and bowed low to Perrian. "Thank... thank you kind sir. I shall do my best to put it to good use."

Perrian smiled and nodded. "Your welcome, friend. I know you'll put it to good use." Perrian said. "Well, Vincent, are you going to be ok or are you going to put that elixer to use so I may heal you?"

((also, MoG - I wanted to equip the Defender's Shield when we first picked it up, but I'm not sure I posted to that effect - may I do so now, and what is its E cost?))

If you check the first post on this Dungeon thread, you will see an updated set of all the current characters, and temporary equipment, loot placement, and item usage. I will update this as necessary throughout the adventure. mrgreen

Vincent, considering the words of his peers, finally gives in. Reaching slowly for the elixer he sheaths the sword over his back and takes the draught in a single swig. Fealing the calming effect of the elixer he also notices the extreme displeasure of the sword. Vincent knows that it is inconsequential as the many tendrils of the demonic sword retreat from his arm. His body, and more importantly his soul, are freed at last from the powerful sway of the demonic sword. He stands on shaky legs while bleeding wildly from near to a dozen quarter sized holes in his arm. Summoning his strength he manages to walk over and down the multiple potions. The wounds begin to sew themselves as he moves over and grabs the sword and armor from the stash of gear. "My friends..." he begins almost breathlessly, "thank you..."
((So here is my new stats for the dungeon. I am including the demonic sword in my items only because I still have it on me. However, it is not equipped. So it's your call to show it on my stats or not.))

Lazarus nods at Vincent, seeing the effect of the demonic blade leave the tought man. "The demonic energies are never the answer, and they are very difficult to get over. At least you have good friends here to help you with it."
He smiled lightly, and looked to the rest of the party. "Shall we toss the rest of the loot into a bag, and procede out? Isn't there a bigger threat looming on the horizion somewhere?" He spoke softly, and sincerely.
