Ala's Journal

Dear Diary

Well, now he knows, I told him, Somehow I wasn't sure how to expect he would take the information given. I guess he took it how I thought he might, it will be interesting to see if he does gain all the Kerrsalian abilities the average Kerrsalian has... after all he is not a full Kerrsalian, in fact he isn't even half, though I have read that the Kerrsalian abilities are predicted to be fairly dominent if we were ever to breed outside our kind....

Saying Goodbye and Heading Home

Torvil woke and yawned, shaking his head had stretching out, yawning and licking his lips with a slight murmur.

Ala stirred beside him and slowly opened an eye looking over at him

Torvil smiled and brushed her cheek as he got up. "I think... It's time to head home love..."

"Yeah you're probably right" she replied rolling over to her back "We have completed what we came here to do"

Torvil nodded. "Yes... Surion has learned all he needs to know now... There is more... But it can wait..." He chuckled softly.

"What is that?" she asked and stretched and sat up

Torvil chuckled. "Not much... Just... War stuff... I hope he never has to learn about it..."

"War stuff, oi... Torvil I hope it doesn't come to that ever" she sighed

Torvil nodded. "I know... I hope he never does either... But you never know... We have a truce with the Ravens... " He sighed.

Ala nodded and leaned on her elbows "Guess only time will tell" she mused

Torvil nodded. "Aye... and I hope time tells a long time of peace... The Cliffs doesn't need war now..."

"No they don't who knows what enemies war might bring, may be even some with higher technologies, which could be devastating" she sighed and pushed to stand

Torvil sighed. "Aye... Which would... Yeah..." He sighed, sitting up slowly and then standing. "And right now... I don't think the Cliffs could handle anything war... The Council is torn in two..."

Ala bit her lip "Yeah that's gotta make it difficult" she sighed "Well what do we need to do to prepare to go, besides gathering stuff up and going of course... "

Torvil thought for a moment. "Prolly visit Jakath again... and Mom and them..." He chuckled softly. "And yeah... It's bad... it's Vina, Malkar, and Rhazar, vs. the other three... three more are sitting on the fence..."

Ala shook her head, "Hopefully they sort it out... well lets get gathering and food ready then we cna go visit and then head out"

Torvil nodded. "Yeah... I hope so too..." He murmured. "Yeah... You want to go wake Surion or should I?"

"You can I'll go get the meal out" she said pulling on her top having already pulled on her bottom and then headed out the door of their room

Torvil nodded and got dressed, hurrying over to Surion's room to go and wake him up.

Surion was asleep his feet sticking out the bottom of his blanket which was completely over his head right then

Ala wandered off into the kitchen

Torvil walked over and slowly lifted up the blanket. "Hey Surion... It's time to wake up..."

Surion only had on a pair of bottoms several of his scars visible as he stirred "Coming" he mumbled sleepily

Torvil chuckled and ruffled his hair.

Surion stretched and pushed to sit up "Morning" he said rubbing an eye and looking at his father with the other

Torvil chuckled softly and ruffled his hair some more. "Morning... Hurry up and get dressed... Mum's making breakfast and then we're going to say our goodbyes..."

Surion opened both eyes "We're going home?" he asked before noticing a scar on his arm and sighing and working on making it hide

Torvil nodded. "Yeah Surion, We're heading home..." He chuckled.

Surion nodded "Ok dad" he smiled and finished working on the scars as he stood up

Torvil smiled and headed out, going to go check on Ala and see how dinner was coming.

Ala was setting out the plates of meal several things were out all over the counter things she obviously intended to take home with them

Torvil smiled and chuckled. "you look busy..." He smiled softly.

"Course... if we are going home I don't want to forget anything" she smiled and motioned one of the larger plates

Torvil chuckled and looked over at it to see what it was.

Ala went back to what she was doing intending to sit down when Surion emerged from his room, the meal itself was the last of the jaguar meat

Torvil chuckled softly and sat down at the table, yawning softly for a moment and rubbing his eyes.

Ala glanced over her shoulder "Tired?" she asked him seeing his eye rubbing

Torvil chuckled. "Kinda... Not really..." He smiled softly and shook his head. "Just been a trip..."

Ala turned wandering over to sit down she spied Surion coming around the corner "What has been a trip love?"

Torvil chuckled softly. "Surion growing, and the hunt... It was surreal sometimes..." He chuckled.

Ala laughed "Very true" she said and motioned Surion to sit and eat

"Thanks mum" he said dropping into the last chair and looking at the meal with a slight smirk and started eating

Torvil chuckled and ate. "Good huh?" He asked with a grin, as he ate.

Surion looked towards his father and nodded "Yeah it is" he grinned before continuing eating

Torvil chuckled softly and ate. "Mmmm... Yeah... It's nummy...."

Surion soon finished and relaxed "What time are we leaving?" he asked looking between his parents

Ala looked towards Torvil for that one

Torvil smiled. "Soon... We have to go say goodbye to the rest of the family... Give Vina a visit

Surion nodded "My stuff is gathered it's on my pallet" he said with a nod having dropped almost all of it on his blanket and used the corners to create a rather large bundle his spear laying on the pallet beside it all

Torvil smiled. "Good... We'll leave our stuff here.. and then go visit... Then come back

Surion nodded and pushed back his chair

Ala chuckled "always on the move" she mused

Torvil chuckled. "Aye..." He murmured softly. Getting up and getting ready to head out.

Surion was already 10 steps ahead of them wandering out of the cave and turning in the direction of his aunt's

Torvil chuckled and slowly moved to catch up with him.

Ala linked arms with her mate and wandered with him watching their son ahead of them "He's definitely getting older" she said softly

Surion bit his lip for a moment, he still hadn't gotten over the fact that his cousin was once again a lot older then him in the aspect of not being a child

Torvil chuckled. "Aye..." He smiled. "And soon he'll be all grown up..." He chuckled.

Surion disappeared from their sight, though that was cause he had turned into the cave "Hello" he called out

Jakath was pacing again, rubbing his temples. "Hey Surion..."

"Uh, why are you pacing this time?" he said stopping where he was

"Kids... " He chuckled softly. "And having her meet you guys..."

"But I know her... well... kinda" he bit his lip looking at the floor his tail moving to slightly wrap around his leg nervously

Jakath chuckled softly. "Well... She's not much different you know..."

Surion nodded "Yeah I believe you" he looked up walking further into the room

"Jakath?" Came a female voice, and soon Jakath's mate came out, surrounded by children, a red flower in her hair.

Surion stopped walking and fidgeted with the hem of his tunic

"Hello Surion, how are you?" She asked with a smile, her voice let him know they were equal.

"I'm ok thanks" he said watching her he could remember the days when they had all played together, it felt so long ago to him now

Jakath smiled and bowed his head. "It's good to see you Surion..."

Now he felt a lil awkward his friend and cousin seemed to have turned a bit formal with him suddenly. His right hand moved and rested on his upper left arm "Yeah ... you too"

Jakath smiled and moved over, giving his cousin a hug and patting his back. "Come, you have time to sit and talk for a bit?" Torvil walked into the cave

Surion nodded "Yeah" he said quietly accepting the hug

Ala wandered in after Torvil with a smile

Torvil smiled. "It's good to see you Jakath..." He bowed his head.

Surion moved and climbed onto one of his aunt and uncles armchairs sitting down

Ala smiled "Aye, it certainly is good to see you"

Torvil smiled and nodded his head lots. "We're not hear long, just to say our goodbyes..."

"Awww... you're all leaving already,...."

Ala nodded "Yes it's time to return, we've already been gone a long while"

Surion watched them silently

Jakath sighed. "Oh well... I'm sure you all have things that need to be done... I'll go tell mom, I'm gonna miss you guys..."

Ala sat on the edge of the couch and nodded "Thankyou Jakath"

Jakath smiled. "It's no prob..." He bowed his head and hurried off. Leaving his wife and children to smile and observe the family

Ala watched Jakath's retreating back then looked to the female and her clutch and smiled and nodded

Surion was watching Jakath's wife his eyes looking to put a new image of her in his mind

She smiled and bowed her head. "Hi..." She smiled softly. Torvil smiled and nodded his head. "Hello..."

Ala smiled "Time certainly has passed" she mused remembering seeing the little girls when they were younger

She smiled. "Yeah..." She said softly with a bow of her head. "Quite a bit..."

Ala nodded and looked at the children smiling at each of them

Surion fidgeted with the sleeve of his tunic his tail around his waist and in his lap

Mikiri entered and smiled. "I'd figured you'd guys would have stayed a little longer...

Ala looked up as her sister in law entered the room "Hey there Mikiri. We do have responsibilities back at the house too, otherwise we would"

"I know..." She smiled softly. "It was good to see you guys tho..." She smiled more.

Ala nodded "Definitely" she agreed

Surion turned looking towards his aunt "Thankyou Auntie" he said with a smile

Mikiri smiled. "You're Welcome Surion..." She grinned. "I hope you enjoyed your stay?

Surion nodded "Yeah it had it's ups and down's but I had fun overall"

She smiled. "That's good..." She murmured softly/

Ala didn't speak for a few minutes and when the lack of talk became rather apparent she stood up "Well we have more to say goodbye to and some more packing up to do so I suppose we should go"

Mikiri sighed. "Yeah... Well I hope you guys have a safe trip back!"

"We shall, thankyou" she said doubting her sister in law knew the method of transportation the family most often used in coming to the cliffs

Surion slid off the chair and walked over to his mothers side giving his aunt a small smile

Mikiri smiled. "Don't be strangers!"

"We won't sis... No worries..." He murmured softly.

Ala headed out of the cave with a silent Surion on her heals she waved a good bye and waited for Torvil

Torvil followed Ala out, sighing softly.

Ala held her hand out to Torvil "Well that was interesting" she mused softly

Torvil took her hand. "Yeah... Wish we could stay longer..."

Ala nodded "Well you pick the direction next"

Torvil chuckled softly and headed for his mother's cave. "See Mum and Dad real quick, say our goodbyes.... Then onto Vina... She's prolly in council right now anyway..."

Ala nodded and headed in that direction too resting her head on his shoulder

Surion followed after them quietly

Torvil smiled softly and turned his head. "I bet you're really ready to head home huh?" He murmured to Surion

"I guess" Surion said with a nod "Not really anyone here that I know overly well... And I miss Nani" he admitted

Torvil chuckled. "Well, we'll be home soon enough..." He smiled softly.

Surion nodded and hurried around his parents running towards his grandparent's place

Torvil chuckled softly, and watched him run on ahead.

Ala smiled "He does love your parent's doesn't he" she mused as her son disappeared into the cave

Torvil chuckled. "Course..." The Cave was rather empty

Surion stopped in the doors if his ears could have drooped they would have, his tail certainly did

The Cave actually wasn't empty as much as there was no one in the front, but there was a LOT of noise coming from the kitchen

Surion looked towards the kitchen and then wandered slowly in that direction

Mitizimi was working in the kitchen, Korvil had his head down on the table.

Surion smiled "Hi Granma, Hi Granpa" he said in greeting

They smiled. "Hello Surion, how are you today?"

"I'm ok, we're heading back today" he told them

"Awww... We'd hoped you'd of stayed a bit longer..."

"Yeah, Auntie said the same thing" he said biting his lip

Ala wandered into the cave with her husband to catch up to them

Torvil chuckled and walked with Ala. "Of course she did... We all did..."

Ala chuckled "Good day mom... dad..." she greeted them

Surion wandered over hugging his grandmother's waist

Mitizimi hugged him back. "Hello..." She smiled at Ala. "We'd hoped you'd stay longer..."

Ala nodded "Aye, but the keeper has been patient enough for us, I don't want to make her stay there forever"

Mitizimi nodded. "I'm sure you don't..." She murmured. "Well all good things must eventually end..."

"Well it's not like we wont ever return" she smiled "And don't forget, I'm coming back soon"

Surion left his grandmother and wandered towards his grandpa

Mitizimi smiled. "That's true!" She smiled softly. Korvil smiled and opened his arms to him.

Surion smiled and moved faster eagerly moving into the open arms, his hug

Ala smiled "That visit will probably be just me though" she didn't say exact details, after all she hadn't really discussed it to Surion exactly

Korvil smiled and hugged him tight... Torvil chuckled softly,.

"Thanks for watching out for me Granpa" he said hugging him tightly

Korvil chuckled softly and kissed his forehead. "And lose my favorite grandson... Pish..."

Surion giggled "I'm not your favorite am I?" he asked

Korvil chuckled. "I don't know..." He murmured and tapped his nose, then reached under the table.

Surion laughed "You are funny Granpa" he told him

Korvil chuckled softly and handed him something small.

Surion looked at him and took it then looked at what he had been handed

It was a bear claw. Korvil made a shhhh motion.

Surion grinned and pocketed it and mouthed a 'Thankyou' to his granpa

Korvil smiled and ruffled his hair, then kissed his forehead.

Surion hugged his grandpa again

Ala smiled eying her son "Don't worry we wont be strangers, I'm not sure Surion would like that"

Mitizimi smiled. "That's nice..." she smiled. "And I'm glad he likes it here..."

Ala smiled "Well..." she looked towards her mate

Torvil chuckled. "I like it here too..." He smiled. "And well... Ala's got to come back for something later... And... Well... We've got a lot to do still..."

Ala chuckled "Yes we should go, have to go see if Vina is home yet as well as finish packing up"

Surion pouted "I don't want to go quite yet"

Torvil chuckled. "Well... Me and your mother can go on ahead... And you could catch up..."

Surion nodded "Ok dad" he said biting his lip lightly and looking back to his grandpa

Ala chuckled and smiled

Torvil smiled and chuckled. Korvil laughed softly and ruffled his hair. "Come... Lets go talk for a bit while your parents go on ahead..."

Ala smiled and headed for the door "See you soon guys" she said

Surion nodded "Ok Granpa!" he smiled happily

"See you!" Mitizimi smiled. Korvil smiled and stood, heading for the living room. Torvil smiled and nodded his head. Heading for the door. "Bye you two!"

Surion followed after his grandfather happily

Ala left the cave an arm around Torvil's waist as they walked

Torvil purred and snuggled into her side as they walked. Korvil smiled and sat down on the couch.

Surion climbed onto the couch with him sitting right beside him

Korvil smiled and ruffled his hair. "So... How are you feeling today? Do you really want to leave the cliffs?"

"I don't but I do... If that makes any sense... I like it here, but I like it there too... but everyone I know here grows much faster then I do... I miss Nani too, but I'll miss you guys too" he was somewhat rambling

Korvil chuckled and hugged him. "Well remember, this will always be as much as a home for you as your real home, and we're family, so we have a bond..." He chuckled and smiled. "Besides, you'll reach a point where nobody will grow anymore..."

Surion nodded "yeah I'm glad for that, after all so much has happened for me here, including overcoming a serious fear" he admitted

Korvil smiled and ruffled his hair. "The ramp is a fear for all of us Surion..."

Surion chuckled "Yeah... My main fear though was the jaguar, but the ramp was part of it, going down it and finding another one"

Korvil smiled. "You did a good Job Surion... A Good job indeed..."

"I tried, Was foolish to not pay attention to all sides of me though, if I had, it wouldn't have gotten me like that" he said quietly

Korvil chuckled softly. "Sometimes you get the Bear... and sometimes he gets you..." He murmured, a long jagged scar showing up on his arm.

Surion looked at it and ran his finger along the scar "Did you teach dad how to do that? " he asked

Korvil chuckled. "No... He taught himself..." He sighed. "But my father taught me..."

Surion nodded "He taught me, before we came back" he said with a nod

Korvil smiled. "He came back covered in the things... more than I have ever given him when I beat him..." Korvil sighed.

Surion quirked a brow not quite sure what he meant

Korvil sighed. "He's not told you has he..."

"Uhm no... Only thing he told me when I was little was pointing at a tiny hole" he admitted

"I used to beat your father... Whenever I saw him... Because I hated him... Because he was smaller... and because of his white hair... I used to tell your aunts and uncles to hound him..."

Surion blinked "I'm smaller too" he said biting his lip he didn't quite understand

Korvil sighed. "It was a long time ago Surion... Before you were born... it was back when Shezar was and Elder... Back before he died..." He rubbed his temples...

Surion nodded slowly he didn't know about Shezar

"He hasn't told you about him either... Lord Boy... How much HAS your father told you about the cliffs before your birth?"

"Uhm not a lot? Traditions, things of the normal I guess, I don't know maybe dad didn't think I needed to yet" he bit his lip again

Korvil pulled him close. "Well I think you do... Even if your father will dislike you knowing..."

Surion nodded and leaned against him

Korvil began with the very beginning... Shezar's rise to power, how the hunters gained majority control over the council.... Stuff only a hunter... someone on the inside would know... He told Surion where the power really was... It wasn't in the council or the Temple... It was in the hands of the Healers and the Hunters... They really ran the cliffs... But Korvil gave him every single ounce of information he had... and he held nothing back... Not even when he described what he'd DONE to Torvil for those seventeen years.

Surion stared at his grandfather wide eyed the entire time not once interrupting his grandfather's speech

Slowly Korvil grew quiet. "And then... After I joined Shezar's Cell... I was put on trial... They found me guilty of Treason... I was beheaded..."

Surion's eyes bulged his mouth opened though nothing came out

"My head was put on a pike... Out in the main square..." He said softly, his finger slowly running along his neck and shivering.

"But... but..." Surion looked back and forth between his grandfather's neck and his eyes

"Your father... Brought me back to life... Through Necromancy...." He murmured. "He rended the veil... and made it so I could live again... Nearly at the cost of his own life..." He sighed. "Your father is an amazing man Surion... He helped the man who swore he hated him, beat him senseless, called him worthless, for seventeen years... He gave him a second chance..." He sighed and ran a finger along his neck again. "And he nearly died to do it for me... He admitted... that'd he'd gone into it... Expecting to have to trade his life for mine... Because I was so long dead... Necromancy takes a lot out of your father... Because... He doesn't bring us back as the undead... No... He tears a hole in the veil... So that all of our soul returns... And that can kill him..."

Surion whimpered not being thrilled at this thought

"But somehow... Your father has lucked out... He's almost died... but has never died... He's a lucky man..." He sighed had brushed Surion's hair. "He's done a lot of good..."

Surion smiled "Yeah" he nodded "A lucky dad"

Korvil smiled. "I hope his luck holds out... He's still got a long life ahead of him..."

Surion nodded "I bet mum hopes his luck holds out too"

Korvil nodded. "I'm sure..." He smiled softly. "But yeah... It's been a rough road for him... and he still likes it here..."

Surion nodded "I like it here too" he said hugging his grandfather

Korvil smiled. "Of course you do..." He smiled and hugged him tight. "You were introduced to this place on a good note... and you have a lot of family here... Hell probably a good percentage of the cliffs is related to you... Living and dead..."

Surion chuckled "I only know Aunty Kal from my mom's side, I don't think she knows anyone else on that side "

Korvil nodded slowly. "Well see, your dad has a big family and your mom has a small one... so it evens out..."

Surion nodded "Yeah I guess it did"

Korvil smiled and brushed his hair. "Wish you could stay longer... But I'm afraid you want to go home don't you..."

Surion nodded "I wanna see Nani... I miss her" he said

Korvil smiled softly and kissed his forehead. "You miss her eh?" He smirked softly. "Sounds like my Grandson has his eyes on a woman..."

Surion blushed lightly "Using Jakath's terms I believe I have a crush on her" he admitted looking at his hands

Korvil laughed softly. "Good luck Surion..." He said and ruffled his hair. "And Win her heart alright?"

Surion grinned "I will, if nothing else... I'm a determined person"

Korvil grinned. "That's my Grandson... Continuing the Rakamash name..." He grinned and ruffled his hair. "And our habit of being heart stealers too..."

Surion giggled "Heart stealers" that line couldn't help but make him laugh

Korvil chuckled and ruffled his hair. "Alright... Off with you now, before your parent's think I Surion Napped you..."

Surion nodded and climbed off the couch "Love you Granpa... see you soon" he said and then hurried out of the cave. he stopped outside and decided there was one more stop HE wanted to make before going back to the cave and took off running in the direction of the hunters lodge

The path was rather clear for him, many people didn't get in the way of a running child... Mothers were scary at the cliffs...

Surion slowed at the building and he smiled and walked in. He didn't intend to stay long, just wanted to see the totem again before he went away

The Hunter's lodge was empty save for a few hunters coming and going for hunts, they all smiled and nodded their heads at Surion.

Surion nodded and slipped into the lil room where the pelt was and pulled it down unrolling it and pulling it over his shoulders and felt the fur for a few before pulling it off and slowly rolling it up

"Had to say good by eh?" Malkar said as he stood in the doorway

Surion looked up "Wanted to see it before I headed back to our other home" he smiled "that's all"

Malkar chuckled. "I could understand that..." He murmured.

"The creature I feared, and then killed as my totem.. Not exactly something I would have expected, but the Jaguar, is like an honorable beast when I looked at it before I took it's pelt, I hated it, I was angry at it, then I felt respect for it" he said as he pushed the rolled pelt back onto the shelf

Malkar smiled. "All is one, and one is all..."

Surion nodded "Yeah, I guess I should get back to the cave, help finish getting ready... Thanks" he smiled

Malkar chuckled. "Have a good trip Surion... And remember... We all have our callings... yours is a hunter... We may need you someday..."

Surion nodded "Ya, dad said that. Talk to you soon, either next visit or if that time comes... hopefully the former over the latter"

Malkar smiled. "Yes... The former sounds much better.

Surion smiled and nodded "I should go" he looked up at his uncle so he could try n get by

Malkar chuckled and moved out of the doorway for him with a smile. "Have fun Surion"

"Thanks see you soon" he passed by heading out of the lodge and then home

The path home was clear as well... very few people were on the paths

Surion walked into the cave looking to see if his parents were back

They were already getting the stuff together

"I'm back" he said with a smile

Ala looked up "Good, we're just about ready to go home"

Torvil smiled. "Yeah... Just a few more things from your room and we're good..."

Surion stopped and was staring at his father for a time before nodding and hurrying off to his room

Ala quirked a brow and shrugged and finished up

Torvil blinked and shook his head. "What's gotten into him..." He murmured softly and looked himself over. "Is there something on my face... in my teeth... Oh lord... My hair?!?"

"Nothing unusual about your appearance to me" Ala mused looking at him

Torvil calmed. "Good..." he murmured, as he had been running his fingers through his hair.

Ala smiled and returned to her work and dropped onto the couch to relax once she was done noting Surion had not come back out yet

Torvil blinked and headed towards Surion's room to see what was up

Surion was sitting on his bed in thought

Torvil blinked. "Gold for your thoughts?"

Surion jumped he hadn't heard him come in and looked up "What?"

"Gold for your thoughts..." He chuckled softly.

"You almost died for Granpa?" he said quietly looking towards him

Torvil let out a slow breath. "Yeah... I almost died... for a lot of people Surion..."

Surion nodded slowly staring at his father now once again

"Is that why you stared at me earlier?" He asked, sitting down next to him.

Surion nodded "Granpa told me...." he said though he was rather vague exactly what he HAD been told

Torvil wrapped an arm around him. "I see..."

"Were you going to tell me? in the future?" he asked

"Yeah... Eventually... When I thought you were ready for it... Some of it was rather... bad..."

"Granpa told me all sorts of things" Surion said resting against his father's side

Torvil bit his lip. "Did he tell you about the time I killed my brothers..."

Surion nodded "Yes, and other things, even about how he treated you" he said quietly

Torvil sighed. "Surion... How much detail did he go into..."

"Uhm a lot?" he said biting his lip hoping that wasn't bad

Torvil nodded his head. "Good... Then I won't have to go into details..." he looked at his hands for a moment and shook his head. "You're still a little young... but from that day on... I've had moments where I wonder if my hands will ever be clean..."

Surion stared at his father nodding slowly

Torvil's hands shook for a moment. "Sometimes I still see the blood... It's rare now... very rare... But there are moments..."

Surion looked at him and then his father's hands reaching a hand forward and putting it in one of his father's, the size was smaller but he didn't care as he rested his hand there

Torvil took a deep breath. "Thanks..." he murmured softly, his hand closed around Surion's. "It's been a rough time..."

Surion smiled "Love you dad" he said reaching his other arm around his father and giving him a one armed hug

Torvil smiled. "I love you too Surion... now lets finish getting you packed....

Surion nodded and looked around there was basically nothing left to pack that he was taking it was all in the large bundle he had made with his blanket... the typical form of packing for a kid

Torvil chuckled. "Guess we'll take that then..."

Surion smiled "Told ya it was ready" he laughed

Torvil ruffled his hair. "Come on... Mom's probably wondering what we're doing in here..."

Surion nodded and got up grabbing hold of his spear "Lets go"

Torvil smiled and got up, heading out the door quickly.

Surion grabbed his bundle and trudged after his father

Torvil smiled and walked out into the main room. "Alright... lets head home ^^

Ala looked up "All right it's that time"

Surion dropped his bundle with the other stuff "I wanna see Nani"

Ala looked to him.. "After some chores son, you are old enough to have some chores at the house and shop" she nodded

Torvil chuckled. "Aye... So who takes Surion and who takes the stuff?"

"You pick love" Ala said with a laugh

Torvil chuckled softly and looked at Surion. "How about he picks..."

Surion blinked "Me? Uhm" he looked between them "Dad?" he asked

Torvil smiled. "If you want me to take you home I will... It's up to you..." He chuckled.

Surion nodded "I do" he said biting his lip

Ala chuckled "Ok that gives me the items" she said and wandered to them making sure they were in a close pile

Torvil smiled and offered Surion a hand. "Close your eyes..."

Surion took his father's hand and closed his eyes tight moving close to him

Ala and the pile disappeared with a loud 'pop'

Torvil too slipped into the nether, keeping Surion close. He stopped in other side just as long as he had to, and then nethered back home

Ala was a moment behind them

Torvil smiled at her when she got there. "Hey, how was your trip?

Ala smiled "I'm ok" she said dropping into an armchair closing her eyes

Surion hurried off to his room and stepped in, he looked around and then murmured to himself "Ok this room needs an update"

Torvil chuckled and moved behind Ala, giving her a shoulder massage as Sur did his thing.

Ala yawned "Need to use that more often if I'm gonna take all that amount of stuff at once"

Torvil chuckled softly. "yeah..." he murmured and kept working her shoulders.

"That feels nice love" Ala murmured softly

Torvil smiled. "I know..." He chuckled and kept it up, digging his fingers in a little deeper.

"You're gonna put me to sleep" she murmured purring softly

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed the top of her head. "You need it then..."

Ala chuckled and relaxed completely as he massaged

Torvil smiled and waited for Surion to come out again, though he banked on Ala needing sleep.

Ala fell asleep right there in that chair

Surion came wandering back out carrying well a dragon, one of the ones he hadn't taken to the cliffs with him

Torvil smiled and nodded his head, making a quiet motion with his hand and pointing at Ala.

Surion nodded "Mum must be tired" he said quietly seeing her state of asleepness

Torvil nodded and chuckled. "So how about you?"

"Not quite yet" he said sitting down on another armchair

Torvil chuckled and sat nearby. "Well that's good..."

"What kind of chores you think mum wants me to do?" he asked

Torvil chuckled. "Probably nothing too hard... probably some minor cleaning and upkeep..."

Surion nodded "Okay, guess I just have to wait for mum woke up to find out"

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah, till then we can both relax and breath..."

Surion giggled and nodded "Yep, kinda almost feel strange to be back here" he said looking around the room

Torvil chuckled. "I hear you... technology and such... quite a shock to me the first time..."

"When was the first time?" he asked curiously

"A few months ago..." He chuckled softly. "Before I met your mom..."

"Tell me about it?" he asked leaning on the arm of the chair

Torvil smiled and lay his head back. "I'd just left the cliffs and had gotten to Barton...Nearly got hit by a car... I flipped out and ran..."

Surion nodded and listened as his father spoke

"Ran into the woods... Met... My first wife..."

Surion blinked "First wife dad?" he sat up a lil more

"A Vampress by the name of Silent... She's Vina's mother..." he murmured softly. "As to where she is now... Who knows..."

Surion nodded slowly "Dad I thought you said a mate was for life"

"We do... But..." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "It's complicated... Something happened, and I lost that part of me... Lost it and got it back..."

Surion blinked "Uh that made no sense" he mumbled

"It had something to do with me becoming a Demon Surion... Even I don't fully understand what happened that night..."

Surion nodded slowly "Uhm ok" he said trying to sort out that information in with the rest

Torvil lay his head back. "I know it's weird... but... it's how it is..."

Surion nodded "Yeah it is weird" he said and then yawned widely

Torvil chuckled. "Somebody's sleepy..."

Surion chuckled "Yeah a lil now... " he admitted

Torvil chuckled. "Go on and take a nap... We can wake you later...:"

Surion nodded and got up he took his dragon and on his way past grabbed the bundle taking it for the blanket to his room

Torvil smiled and flopped down onto the couch closing his eyes with a soft nod.

Well we came home. I think Surion may have wanted to stay to some degree, things seemed a lil awkward at Mikiri's cave, I noticed Jakath didn't return to the main room. Well, now it's time to set some chores list for Surion, and go from here. I wait now for the message from the cliffs for when it will be my turn...

Dear Journal,

Bah... Jakath was acting odd... So was his wife... I'll have to talk to them... I mean granted, nobody would be used to growing before someone else at the cliffs unless you knew they were born after you... but still... It's my fault really... Oh well... Moving on to more pressing matters... Dad seems to have gotten rather attached to Surion, actually a lot of people at the cliffs have... I think we'll need to make another visit soon...

The Crush

Ala, Torvil and Surion had been away from their home in the valley for a lil over a month. In fact out of contact too, Ala had not taken her cell and the family had been completely out of touch. They had been in the Cliffs where Torvil's kind resides...

Tinania sat in her room writing notes down in her book for her next class. She wasn't paying attention really. It been very quite this past month, she hadn't done much other then stay home. Because of the time of the year all her girlfriend were training like they were suppose to do and had very little time to really hang out. And her cousin Damien was still at school.

Leaning back she looked up at her ceiling, from what she could tell thanks to her ceiling it was a great day, yet she didn't want to be outside. Beside her wings decide to change on her so they hurt to much to move. Sighing she closed her eyes.

Ala picked up the phone after the family had settled in again and after a moment of thinking getting used to technology again she dialed her son's friend and babysitter, however she wasn't calling specifically for a babysitter she had her son standing in front of her pestering to see Tinania

Looking down as her cell phone started to ring she arched a brow picking it up. Flipping it open her eyes widen in surprise. Pressing talk she laughs "Ms. Ala tell me this is really you and not some joke?" her voice although she tried to hide it was very happy.

"Well if it's someone else Tinania... shh.." she was trying to shush the noise maker in the background "Sorry about that, as I was saying if it's not me then I don't know who it is, though I DO have a twin..." Ala said when she got quiet "Mum.. mum.. mum.. " was heard in the background

Tinania pulled the phone from her ear looking at it then placed it back on her ear "Ms. Ala I know that wasn't Mr. Torvil voice....was that Surion?" she wasn't sure if she was hearing things, but when did he learn to talk real well?

Ala walked with the phone "Yes that was Surion" she said the click of a door closing sounded and the background voice quieted to nearly nothing "Sorry I couldn't hear you too well, anyways. I'm calling cause he wanted to see you, since he hasn't in a while"

Tinania smiles pushing her now short hair away from her face. "Sure, I'm not really doing anything important right now, so it would be great to see the little guy. If you want you could come over here. Mum at work, and Aylana over at her place in Aekea unpacking, so I pretty much have the place to myself." she stands looking though her closet, trying to find something nice to wear.

"All right, we'll see you soon then Tinania" she said with a smile

Tinania laughs hanging up her phone. Tossing the phone onto her bed she looks through her clothes before pulling out her red crop top then a pair black jeans. Changing into those quickly she grabs a pair of her red shoes slipping into those as she pulled a brush though her hair. Looking herself over she frowned at the wings that are now short and blue.

Shaking her head she races down the stairs to the main room of the home.

Ala landed and set her son down "You Surion are getting too heavy, now remember you stay with Tinania, no wandering off, I don't care how much you want to hunt"

"Yes Mum" Surion said straightening his top a little

Ala nodded and took off "I'll be back later I have a few things in Barton to do"

Surion nodded and walked up the steps to the door and knocked on the door, he now stood as tall as any average kid would

Pulling her wand out she waved it at the door as she grabbed herself something to drink "Its open come on in Ms. Ala. How is Surion?" she closed the door her back still to the door as she poured herself a glass of fruit punch.

"Mum went to Barton Nani" Surion said hearing Tinania address his mom who wasn't there as he stood on the mat

Tinania nearly dropped the glass when she heard the voice, more in shock then anything. She Turned stepping out of the kitchen wide eyes as she looked at the older Surion "When did you grow?"

"Uhm about a month ago" he said "At the cliffs, I had my first hunt there too" he said and kicked off his boots before walking now barefoot into Tinania's home

Tinania kneels down then pulls him into a hug "Wow, your growing up to look like your mother and father everyday.." she pulls away pushing his hair from his face. "I'm glad your back, although from the looks of it, I might not be your babysitter anymore, your too old now for one.." she ruffles his hair as she stood "A hunt eh? Was that fun?"

Surion pouted hearing her proclamation of not being a babysitter anymore "But I want you to still... I like being with you, it's fun" he looks at her "It was ok, it was just dad and I hunted with a spear"

Tinania looked down blushing alittle. "You still want me as your babysitter even though your older? Aww that so cute.." she leans down kissing his cheek before smiling "Well how about you tell me all about your hunt over a snack?" she walks into the kitchen pulling out chips then the fruit punch pouring another glass.

Surion's cheeks flushed a lil with color then he followed her "Ok" he said

Placing the chips down on the coffee table she hands him the other glass of fruit punch as she sips from her. "So how does it feel being older Surion?" she pushes her bangs from her face as she relaxes against the couch.

"Different, kinda nice too, not followed as closely around the house or such, still gotta stay close to it but I don't feel like I have a watcher over my shoulder all he time, my cousins though, that was weird sorta, was like one day playing with them, next week they are off finding girlfriends" he admitted

Tinania smiles nodding "That what its like as you get older. Everyone I know is the same way. All my girlfriends are looking for boyfriends. Me I'm just waiting, one day the guy who will love me, he'll come find me." she smiles then pokes him "But just wait you'll be the same way, you'll have crushes on girls just like them.." she winks before grabbing a few chips and eating them.

That sent Surion into a bright red faced appearance nearly matching his shirt a the tips of his ears "Cousins I left finding girlfriends were already raising their clutches by the time I returned from the hunt with my totem" he said

Tinania giggles laying her hand on her flat stomach "Aww Surion blushing...and I didn't think you could get any cuter." she pokes his nose lightly before waving her wand to light the fire place. "So beside your cousin looking for girlfriend, and the hunt, what else did you do?" she sat up for a moment then frowns "Oh I knew I forgot someone, hold on a second I'll be right back." she jumped up racing up the stairs to her room.

Surion had opened his mouth to reply when she took off, he blinked watching her go and drinking some of the punch while he waited for her

Walking back down she held the pae'il egg in her hand "Sorry, I seem to know when he needs me, don't ask why..." she take a seat back on the couch placing the egg next to her before looking over at him "So spill, tell me everything..."

Surion looked at the egg for a moment and then back to Tinania "Not a lot, visited my sister and her growing family, spent time at the cliffs, went to the temple, learned more about living in the caves at the cliffs, I hadn't really been there much as a toddler"

Tinania nods "Hmm well still sound like you had alot to do..." she sips the drink looking at the fire place "Me, I was working most of the time. And hanging out with Tari, Celia, then these two new girls Eamane and Maranwe. That is until they had to start up training again. Now I'm just staying around the house.." she looks up at him "But now with you back I guess I'll have something to do.." she leans back running her finger over the ring in her belly.

Surion smiled "Yeah, you always know fun things to do" he agreed and his eye caught on the ring and he watched her play with it for a moment

Tinania looks over at him then looks down at her belly ring "Oh I got this done about two weeks ago. What do you think? Does it suit me?" it was plain silver only with a ruby jewel in the middle. Her bangs fell around her face as she looked over at Surion.

"It's shiney" he admitted he liked shiney things like his parents did "It looks unhealed still" he mused "You cut your hair too" he noticed as her bangs fell

Tinania smiles nodding "Yea the long hair didn't work to well in the potion class I'm teaching, so I cut it." she runs a finger along the egg in a soothing way. "Hmm you know I missed having you around Sur, although I'm not going to be able to pick you up anymore..." she wrinkles her nose then smiles.

Surion chuckled "Guess I'm a lil big for that" he mused "Mom and dad chose for us to go to the cliffs, and to not bring the phone with us, Mum said it was so I can learn properly about my heritage"

Tinania smiles "I understand, I did the same thing while I was a kid, at least learning about my elven side. The fairy I'm just starting to learn about because I found out I was part fairy." she points to her now short blue wings.

"They're pretty" he said with a small grin his pointy teeth visible "They suit you well"

Blushing she looks away "Thank you, but I liked my other wings alot better..." she shrugs "Oh well, I just know I have one more time these wing will change, and that's as I get older.. hopefully bigger that way I can learn to fly." she leans over poking his nose "If you get wings and learn to fly before me, your going to have to take me flying...just like I did with you as a baby.."

Surion nodded "Dad says that's a change that happens if one of our kind gets very stressed out so I guess we'll see" he told her "But if I do get them you bet I would"

Tinania giggles before tapping her flat belly "Deal.." she looks him over then smirk "You know your going to be a heartbreaker when you get older, I can already tell." she ruffles his hair again before standing as she picked up her empty glass. "You some more to drink sweetie?"

"If I have anything to say about it I probably will be, least save for one" he mused then looked down into his glass taking the last of it "Please" he said holding it out to her

Taking the glass she walks back over to the kitchen. Pulling the fruit punch she pours some more into both glasses before putting it away then walking back over to the couch. Holding the glass out she arches a brow "Oh really, so your going to be a heart breaker. Note to self, make sure to stay away from you.." she giggles then kisses his nose "I'm kidding, beside I'm your babysitter I'm sure once you get my age you'll never want to be around me again.." she takes a sip of her drink before placing it back onto the coffee table.

She glances over at the egg smiling as she runs her finger along it slowly. It wasn't making any noises but she seem to know it wanted to be close to her. Almost like a feeling.

Surion blushed brightly "Well you keep saying I will be, Aunt and Grandma both say I will be, so I guess I will be, though the Dragonic way is to chose one woman... one mate and stick with them " he told her

Tinania smiles "Ah I see, well when that day comes I hope it someone you truly love. Because that girl will be lucky, because even now your a sweetheart.." she winks before looking at the fireplace humming softly to herself.

Surion watched her as she looked towards the fire then followed her gaze "Yeah, I hope she likes me when the time comes for me to tell that person" he said, red at the tips of his ears

Tinania looks over arching a brow before smiling "Surion do you already have a crush on someone" she leans in tickling him "Spill it Sur."

"Gack!" he said as she started to tickle him and burst out laughing trying to fend her off

Tinania keeps tickling him laughing "Spill Surion who your crush?"

"Help!" he cried out laughing hard, one disadvantage he had in the situation is having known him since he was a baby she seemed to know every single tickle spot he had "You don't wanna know" he said amongst laughs

Tinania stops laying her hands on her knees "Yes I do Surion, I wouldn't have asked you if I wasn't curious sweetie." she rest her elbow on the back of the couch looking at him.

Surion caught his breath and sat up straight again "Uhm... she's not Dragonic" he started ruling out every single member of the cliff tribe people

Tinania nods running her hand though her hair "Okay, so is she someone I might know from here around town?" she pulls the egg into her lap looking at him. She sips her drink before placing her glass on her thigh.

He nodded his face turning pink "Yeah... you know her" he said the tips of his ears darker then his face

Tinania sits there thinking for a moment "Its not any of my girlfriend is it? I know you met Tari and Celia.." she touched her bottom lip thinking. "Hmmmmm"

"No I remember them they slept through most of the time at the beach that one day... it's not them" he said his face didn't stop darkening

Tinania shrugs "Well then I have no clue..." she giggles then smiles "And your not going to tell me are you?"

He looked around the room and then spotted something shiney and reflective "Stand up and close your eyes" he said "I want to show you something" or rather someone he thought

Arching a brow she shrugs "Okay.." she stands closing her eyes. "Surion, what are you up to...?" she trusted the little guy but even she was a evil to the older kids at his age.

Surion took her hand and pulled her on a not-straight path to the item though with all the twists and turns she could have been anywhere in the room but she wasn't he could see her reflection in it "Ok now you can look and you'll see who" he said then darted back to the couch his face just about as dark as the shirt he wore over his tanktop

Tinania opens her eyes seeing herself, she arches a brow again "But Surion all I see is..." she stops talking before turning towards the couch, she was now bright red herself.

"Uh huh" he said sitting and fidgeting , he'd not planned to tell her, least not yet, but what was done was done

Tinania couldn't speak, she walked over sitting on the couch looking at her hands "Sur... I.. um...wow..." she pushed her hair from her face "You know your mum and my mum said this would happen...I hate when their right..." she blushes even more still playing with her fingers.

"Parent's seem to have that bad habit... being right that is... least most of the time" he said playing with the tip of his tail

Tinania looks over at him "Sur, I don't know what to say. I don't want to hurt your feeling sweetie, I mean I like you, but your still such alittle guy.." she leans over pulling him close "But then again I guess it doesn't help that you've known me since you were born. Who knows once you get older though Sur, everything could change.." she kisses his cheek then holds him close.

"Yeah I know" he said quietly "I'm just a kid, I'll Survive, that's how it goes for kids. My cousin knows about it, but then I don't really think he understands, they all grew up much faster then I am" he said the darkness of his face slowly fading away

Tinania smiles running her finger though his hair. "Hey sweetie, just have fun being a kid, because when you get older everything changes trust me on this one. I mean I work now, and I baby-sit you, in alot of ways I wish I was your age again." she huggles him close tickling him.

Surion nodded "Fun being a kid isn't easy when everyone you know is either much youngest or much older, one of my cousins was born just after I arrived at the cliffs and by the time I returned from my hunt his kid was just being born... oh well " he gave her a smile and a laugh as she tickled

Tinania giggles then looks at him "That just one of the down sides. Trust me I know when everyone I knew grew faster then me. Its wasn't fun, but you get use to it.." she was trying to keep from thinking that he liked her. She shook her head, and before she could stop herself "Why me?" she blushes looking away.

"Cause, you're kind, your caring, you don't take any guff, you have a wonderful personality and your fun... When /your/ time comes when you are an adult I can already guess that you will be a wonderful mother" he said playing with his tail again

Tinania smiles ruffling his hair "You are to sweet, and thanks for saying I would be a good mother. I keep forgetting your a child.. you seem almost my age..." she kisses his cheek before letting him go incase he wanted to move.

But he didn't want to move "The joys of being a Dragonic" he chuckled "well and being part Kerrsalian too" he said tapping his gem "Mum and dad never know when to expect that I might have a growth spurt"

Tinania nods "Ah yes I remember your mother telling me about that. So don't worry, in no time you'll grow up to be about the same age as me. Because I know I won't be growing again anytime soon. That the woodland fairy in me.." she felt safe with him, she was very confused at this point. Surion was still a child, but how did this kid get so close to her?

"Well least my abilities have started to manifest, found that out during the hunt, gives me something to keep myself occupied with till I'm older" he chuckled

Tinania smirks poking his side "Oh really and what is this ability, because you already know mine. I've used it on you since you were young.." she sings softly in Elven just to make sure he remember.

Surion smiled "Yeah I remember that, I remember you showing me the story at the beach" he said, its one thing he had was a good memory. "Well uhm some healing " he tapped the gem "from this" he told her "and uhm one more I need a lot more practice on" he told her hovering a mere inch from the couch though he didn't know if she'd notice

Tinania eyes widen in surprise "You hover just like your mother did." she laughs then pokes his nose "Well I'm glad your learning your powers. But now its going to be more interesting babysitting you." she pauses shaking her head "No not babysitting, just watching you...that sounds alot better."

"Mom said you squealed when you saw her do it" he said dropping back onto the couch softly "She lost her ability to do it when her wings grew, though I know she misses it in a way" he smiled "Yeah, just don't... stop doing that" he said his tips of his ears reddening slightly again

Tinania blushes "Yea I squealed. That was when I didn't know my voice could hurt people. And stop doing what?" she tilts her head running a finger though his hair.

"Uhm... well you said its not called babysitting anymore so uhm.. watching me" he told her as her finger neared his horn which too had grown but seemed to almost blend in with the blue of his hair

She nods before stopping to look at the horns on his head "I'm guessing those grew also. And don't worry I'll watch you until you get sick of me being around sweetie." she bites her bottom lip before looking over at the egg. She arches a brow very confused. "Okay I wish I understood the egg like Bel and Pol did."

Surion said nothing about her comment about her being around and glanced at the egg "I had a feeling that was a Pae'il egg, mom and dad both go there and I've gone with them"

Tinania nods "Mum and me stumbled about the place. I can't seem to understand the egg to well all it does is hum in my head, but at different tones." she glances at Surion then quickly looks away blushing.

"Perhaps... Sol could join you to the circle fully" he said looking from the egg to her "I'm not sure how that works with non-Pae persons though" he mused

Tinania shrugs "I might have to go back and talk to Bel, or Estra." she moves alittle so her legs were on the couch. Laying back against the arm she smirks looking Surion over "Your very very smart for your age..." she closes her eyes listening as the egg continue to hum at her.

"I listen, that's the best way to learn, besides mum has been teaching me a little at home, the only school I know of is the Academy in Kazeha" he told her

Tinania smiles "Hmm well one day I'll have to sit back and teach you about faeries." she shakes her head her bangs falling into her face as she opens her eyes looking at him. "But by that time girls will be throwing themselves at you..."

And I'll be pushing them off he said silently to himself "I'd like to learn that when that time comes, and I can teach you more about Dragonics" he said

Tinania smiles then nods placing both her hands on her stomach playing with her belly ring again "That would be great, I can't wait..." she crosses her legs then smirks "What on your mind Sur, you seem to have something you want to say.."

Surion shook his head "No nothing that can be said right now" he said smiling

Tinania arches a brow "Okay I won't push you..." she closes her eyes again smiling "Just know I'm always here to listen sweetie..." she pushes her hair from her face before humming again.

"Yeah I know , always here" he smiled and leaned against the couch listening to her humming

Tinania opens her eyes then shaking her head she holds her arms out to him "You can curl up to me Sur, I don't mind..." she smiles "Beside I'm use to you being close, I always held you close to me Sur..."

Surion smiled at the invitation and did just that It felt a lil different inside but that was fine with him "You humming is calming" he admitted to her

Tinania smiles running her hand along his hair "I know, I make it that way because if you were ever upset when you were little I could make you feel better. Think of it as my personal song to you.." she wraps her other arm around him holding him close.

"I remember, I remember it when I was really little too" he said cuddling against her side, he didn't care if anyone saw them he was happy

Nodding she smiles "Yup you seemed to love my singing even then.." she looked down at him smiling "How you managed to get close to me Surion I will never know, but you have. And for some reason I have a feeling your not going to let me go..." she blushes a deep red from saying that then blinks "Um...."

Surion glanced down at his hands "Not if I can help it" he mumbled "But then I'm a kid, by the time I'm a tee you may have found someone, and I'll have to accept that"

Tinania blushes even more "I highly doubt I'll have anyone, not if my friend Ducan is concern anyways..." she looks back down at him "You really are serious are you?"

Surion nodded "Yeah, as laughable as that may seem I've not met anyone else like you and even my parent's trust you and my dad especially can be wary on who he extends his trust to"

Tinania smirks kissing his forehead "Its not laughable, I'm just shock tis all." she brushes her hair from her face. "Sur, promise me something though, please.."

Surion looked up at her "What?" he asked his blue eyes looking up at her

Tinania smiles touching his nose lightly with her finger "If you ever find anyone who you can see yourself with, go for it. Don't hang around waiting for me...Because I don't know what or where I'll be when you become a teen."

"I don't know that I can make that promise, I'll try though" he said evenly and seriously

Tinania bites her bottom lip then smiles "Okay, wow I really never thought you start crushing on me.." she frowns pushing her bangs from her face again.

"Is that bad?" he asked quietly both hands holding the end of his tail as he watched her face for it's reaction

Tinania smiles shaking her head "No not at all, so don't worry about that okay. I just never seen myself as a girl anyone would crush on.." she pulls at his tail alittle hoping to get him to relax.

Surion smiled and made no effort to get his tail away "I'm surprised you don't already have someone who isn't a kid having a crush on you" he told her honestly

Tinania shakes her head "Well Cryus with Bronnie, and my big brother Damien with Rhia, and Elliot. Well I'm not sure if he with anyone, but those are the only boys my age minus Ducan. He been trying to get with me since I could remember, but I just like being single right now. Its means I can have fun.." she pulls at his tail again then tilts her head "You tail going to get as long as your mothers, I remember she once wrapped it around her leg, maybe I'm wrong.."

Surion laughed "Her waist, it's how she keeps it from little pulling hands at the clinic, she once told m Luna took a bite on it and she has it there ever since" he said "And I'm not sure how long it'll grow, guess only time will tell"

Tinania smiles "Well babies do love putting things in there mouths. So I can see why she keeps it wrapped around her waist." she pokes his tail "You be able to catch anyone if it grows as long as your mother does. You wouldn't have to chase them that for sure.." she lets his tail go then wraps both her arms around him holding him close.

Surion laughed "Yeah" he said leaning into her hug his tail though not really long like his mom's wrapped around her lightly

Tinania smirks feeling his tail wrap around her "Looks I'm stuck with you aren't I? Well then how about for now we just continue being friends. Its does me you can still curl up to me if you want. Then once you grow we see how things go okay?" she leans down rubbing her nose against his before kissing his forehead again.

"Ok" he said with a soft smile and a light purr "Friends it is" he said with a nod

Tinania smiles then listens to him purr "Okay when did you start purring?"

Surion blushed "Uhm at the cliffs" he told her he didn't remember exactly when it came with the rest of the abilities and with the loss of his dreams

Tinania smiles then lays her head on top of his "Hmm its nice...." she looks down at her belly ring then frowns "I need to clean this thing..."

Surion looked down at it he was right it wasn't fully healed. He reached a finger forward and touched her belly his gem lighting up as he watched it heal

Tinania eyes widen as she watched him "Sur?" she didn't move but was very curious about what he was doing. Was he going to try and heal it?

"Yes?" he asked a moment later smiling as it finished and pulled his hand away

Leaning up she looked at her belly ring. It was indeed healed. She looked over at him smiling "Thank you, I don't know how or what I can do for you, but thank you Sur. You saved me alot of pain over the next few months..." she kisses his cheek laying her head back down looking at him. Okay he is slowly getting into my heart, this little devil..

Surion giggled "Mum can do it too, it's Kerrsalian, so don't worry about it" he said his smile widened for a time when she kissed his cheek and then he returned to cuddling

Tinania nods then holds him "Ah well next time I get hurt I'll just have to come to you won't I?" she closes her eyes thinking of how many time she has already gotten hurt, but keeps them hidden thanks to magic and potions. She runs her hand slowly along his back.

"If you want to Nani, I don't mind" he said smiling "What do you want to be when you grow up?" he asked her curiously "I mean to an adult"

Tinania smiles opening her eyes "A healer, see like you I know how to heal, but though potions. I guess its because I'm looking to help cure a curse that been haunting my family, once I do that, then well hopefully, no time soon though. I hope to have a loving man of my own and maybe I child..." she tilts her head so she able to look into his eyes "What about you, you must have thought about it to ask me a question like that.."

"I used to dream of being an alchemist like dad, and dream of being a father and dream of other things too, I don't dream of them or anything else though, so I'll just say I hope to become all of it" he told her

She arches a brow "You don't dream anymore?"

"No, I don't it's no fun either" he said with a sigh

Tinania shakes her head "No its not, everyone suppose to dream, maybe its because what you once use to dream was for when you were a baby?" she wasn't to sure what to say, she still dreams to this day even though sometimes there nightmares.

Surion shook his head "No, it's cause it's the ability a Kerrsalian looses when their powers manifest, and they do that when they are a child, mom explained it to me"

Tinania nods "I see, so maybe its not a bad thing that you lost them.. Sometime I wish I didn't dream." she sat up just alittle only because her neck started hurting.

"Maybe, such is life" he smiled and moved so she could "Where's your mom today?" he asked curiously

Tinania shrugs "Either working, or with Rinon. I hardly seen her anymore because I am always on the go.. I usually have the home to myself...." she places one hand on top of her thigh running it along her pants.

Surion nodded watching her "One day I might have the house to myself but I know that won't happen too very soon, you are lucky in that way" he mused

Tinania blushes then shakes her head "The only time I'm lucky is when Ducan working himself. Other wise he be trying to sneak into this house. He scares me like crazy now..." she pushes her hair away from her face looking at her belly ring.

Surion frowned "He shouldn't he should leave you alone" Surion said not knowing the full story

Tinania looks down at him "Well I just have to deal, he always been like this to tell you the truth, it just been worse since we grew..." she ruffles his hair "Its only because he wants me for his girlfriend, but I keep telling him no.."

Surion nodded biting his lip "Yeah I hope he does leave you alone though" he said reaching up and untangling a hair from his horn

Tinania smirks then pokes his belly "Oh and why is that? So you can wrap your tail around me?" she giggles then wrinkles her nose. She was actually teasing him.

"Yes" he said grinning "So I can wrap my tail around you catch you and say you are mine... when I'm older that is" he added

Tinania smirks then kisses his cheek before winking "We'll see." she sits up lifting her arms above her head. "Come on let go outside by the koi pond, unless you wanna stay here curled up next to me.." she looks down at him as she pushes her hair behind her ears.

"I like curling up with you, but I also like going places with you, and I've never seen a Koi before" he said sitting up

Tinania arches her brow "Never? You have never seen a koi before?" she slips her feet back onto the ground as she pulled her shoes back on. "Well then I guess I'll have to show them to you won't I?" she holds her hand out to him as she stands.

Surion nodded and took her hand standing his boots he left by the door so he figured he'd either go out barefoot or get them on his way out "what is a Koi anyways" he asked

Tinania looks at him as she walks over to the door holding his hand "Its a fish. Its one looks very different...You'll see when we get outside." she opens the door then steps aside to let him walk out first.

Surion quickly slips his boots on then heads out the door with a nod "A fish... ok "

Stepping down the steps she point toward the pond that was that the home was built over. There were Koi's of all times. Some were small and other were big, as she had said each were different colors. She walked over looking around "Now where is she..."

"Where is who?" he asked his eyes still following the large fish moving through the water

There slowly come towards them was a bright green koi only it had fairy wing. Tinania smiles kneels down placing her hand in the water. "This is my koi, because she has wings like me. Each and everyone in this home has one, or at least we try. When we find one like a person in the family or someone we know we buy it placing them in the pond.." she looks over at him smiling "There all sweet so you can touch them if you like..."

Surion moved closer pushing his sleeve up his arm and he touched the water before touching a Koi "that tickles" he giggled as it moved under his hand

Tinania smiles "Yes it does, but you get use to it.." she pulls her hand from the water watching her koi swim back off. She looks to him "Wow it seems I get the first with you alot don't I? Man Its going to be interesting when you get even older..."

Surion chuckled "Yeah I suppose you have, I think mom said you even got my first word" he looked at her, his normally blue eyes were a very emerald shade of green his hand still touching the water

Tinania arches a brow "I did...wow...okay when you hit teen I better not get any of the first..." she blushes before laying back in the grass. Like his first kiss, hmm okay he has gotten to you..

"You may" he said pulling his hand out of the water then moving his hands together drawing off the extra water from his other hand into a small ball then dropping it lightly back into the water and his eyes returned slowly back to their blue hue as he moved to sit beside her

Tinania watches him shaking her head "No I won't your first kiss will be a surprise, course I wouldn't know much about that.." she looks over at him laughing alittle "You also got the water magic I see...very nice, your mother manage to make me laugh with that when I was a child..."

"I didn't hear about that one, what happened?" he asked and sat looking at her curious

She moves to lay on her side looking at him "She was trying to keep me laughing. I was upset because my mother was away. Well once she showed me I asked her if she could teach me." she smiles "That was the first time I had laughed in awhile, really laughed. I was hiding the sadness because I was scared I would never see my mum again.."

"You have the skill of cheering another up too" he said with a soft smile

Tinania smirks "Oh really?" she pokes him then smirks "Do I cheer you up?"

Surion giggled "Yeah you've done that a lot in my life from a fussin infant to a toddler, well you get the idea"

A dark shadow passed over them briefly

Tinania nods before looking around wondering what she just saw. "Hey Sur sweetie head back towards the house okay..." she stood slowly looking around.

"Ok Nani" he said with a smile he stood up and stretched "Something the matter?" he asked seeing her looking

Tinania looks at him "Its nothing sweetie I just want you to head into the house and stay in there okay?" she turns back looking around her eyes narrowing.

"Uhm ok" he said and turns to go back inside

Tinania looks around slowly before walking backwards towards the house. She was cursing herself having left her wand inside. She glanced back only for a second to look for the steps before looking around again as she stepped up onto the first step.

Ala stood in her door with a smile when she turned back around "Expecting something out there Tinania" she said

Tinania screamed then jumped away from Ala as she slipped down the stair falling to the ground only to hit her leg on a sharp rock cutting it alittle along with her pants "Hey Mrs. Ala.." she looked up at her smiling trying to hide the pain in the side leg,

Surion poked his head around his mom "You ok?" he asked though he knew she wasn't he could smell blood from her cut

Ala shook her head "I'm sorry Tinania I didn't mean to scare you"

Tinania shook her head "Its okay Mrs. Ala, I'm fine I just was being protective like I always am of Surion. I saw a shadow, wasn't too sure what it might have been.." she winces moving her leg.

"Perhaps these?" she asked putting a wing out to one side

Surion pushed past his mom and jumped down the steps stopping beside her he stuck his fingers on the first bit of bare skin nearest the cut "Mom needs to not scare people" he grumbled giving his mom a 'look' as the gem lit up

Tinania shakes her head laughing "Yea that did it. And Sur its fine, I just get scared to easy, been like this since I could remember." she watches him work his magic yet again.

Ala chuckled watching her son practice, he needed it she knew that though the scent of the blood was enough to want to get home

Surion shook his head "Doesn't matter she could have said something before" he nodded pulling his hand away a couple minutes later

Tinania smirks then leaning in she kisses his cheek "Thank you Sur..." she stands slowly then looks to Mrs. Ala "I'm guessing your coming to take him home..." she looks down poking his nose lightly before looking to Ala again.

Ala nodded "Aye I am I hope you two had a good visit, the way he pestered me to contact you today I wont be surprised if he does it more often"

Surion's face blushed hotly, especially with his mom there

Tinania nods smiling "Yes it was a very interesting visit. And he welcome over anytime he wants, he knows the address." she pulls a small disc from her back pocket then taps it making it grow into the hover disc she owns. Leaning down she smiles "Here take this with you, its my spare one that Aylana gave to me. That way if your mother allows it you can come on your own on this.."


Surion's face lit up "Really? thanks!" he said with a wide grin

Ala chuckled and smiled "you go rest, he healed it but you may still be sore for a hour or two" she said with a smile

Tinania leans in taking Sur into her arms holding him close before pulling away. Standing she smiles "Okay I will. It was great to see you both and no doubt I will see you both again real soon." she leans down kissing Surion's forehead gem before moving past him. She smiles giving Ala a hug before looking back at Surion "Be good okay, and don't forget our talk.." she winks before slipping into her house then heading over to the couch to lay down.

Ala chuckled and watched her disappear

Surion was already climbing onto the disc a lil wobbly but ok

"I'll be behind you if you are using that thing" Ala said and the two headed for home

I think I startled Tinania, I didn't mean to but I guess I did. I think I shall take Surion to see Kalyai, she would be the better person to train Surion to use his abilities, all I know has been self taught, she was taught by those who were meant to teach.

Surion Gets Interested In Alchemy

Surion lay on his bed looking at a book, it was mostly pictured but he was slowly reading out the words below it sometimes sounding them out as he went his finger moving across the text

Torvil stuck his head in slowly. He didn't want to bother Surion if he was busy... But he did have something he wanted to leave him...

Surion's ears picked up the sound of his door opening and he paused finger on a word and turned his head to face the door

Torvil smiled softly and motioned for him to go on with what he was doing as he placed a book near the door, and made to close it.

"What's that?" he asked now curious at his father's delivery, he sat up leaving the book where it was and got up wandering towards the door

Torvil chuckled. "Just a little something I want to see if you're interested in... If you're not that's okay... It's about my erm... hobby..."

Surion picked up the book and looked at the cover "aalll-chhh-emmy" he sounded it out it certainly didn't come out the way it was supposed to

Torvil chuckled. "Alchemy..." He smiled. "It's a science... of sorts..."

"A science? What kinda science?" he asked and opened the front cover of the book slowly flipping through the pages

Torvil chuckled and reached into his pocket pulling out a small square paper with a Alchemy circle on it. He lay it down and softly put a rock on the circle then touched the paper, it flashed and lightly sparked, causing the rock to take the shape of a small Surion holding the Alchemy book. "That..."

Surion's eyes opened wide and he stared at it "Wow!" he was shocked to say the least

Torvil smiled and handed him the figure. "There... All yours..." He chuckled softly and put the circle back in his pocket. "It's not going to be an easy read..."

Surion nodded still staring at the figure "Ok dad, I'll try though" he bit his lip, he'd figure the words out as best he could he LIKED this science

Torvil smiled and ruffled his hair. "If you ever want help reading just ask..." He smiled.

Surion tore his eyes from the figure and looked up at him "I am slowly getting there but I dont mind the help"

Torvil smiled. "from what I heard you read differently than I do..."

"I do?" Surion blinked a lil confused at this

Torvil nodded. "You erm... break up the words...

Surion nodded "How do you do it dad?" he asked curiously

"I read each word as a whole... I can't really... break them up... they get jumbled..."

"Oh" Surion looked back down at the book biting his bottom lip looking at the words about half of them he would normally be sounding out

Torvil smiled weakly. "I think you do it right... I'm not sure..." He scratched his head. "Maybe we should ask your mum..."

"Why ask mum?" he asked confused but at the same time unsure if he should stop doing things the way he was at that time

"Cause she's the one who actually got formal schooling... I didn't..." he admitted softly.

Surion nodded slowly "But I think you are a good teacher too" he told his father closing the book back up

"Yeah... But erm... Well..." he sighed softly and shook his head. "We should ask your mom..."

Surion nodded "Ok dad" he said not feeling it right to argue with his dad

Torvil slowly started to head out of the room... He didn't know it... But Torvil happened to have a learning disorder... Torvil... Was a Dsylexic

Surion followed him silently holding the book against him as they walked

Torvil went in search of Ala, hoping to find her so she could settle it,.

Ala was doing her own reading in the living room, once again trying to sort out the Kerrsalian language from the text

Torvil pointed. "Ala..." He asked softly. "We have a question

Ala looked up as he spoke "Yes love" she asked curiously as she saw Surion round the corner with him clutching what was obviously one of Torvil's books

Torvil chuckled softly. "We need you to tell us who reads properly..."

Ala lifted a brow "Who reads properly??" she put her book down in her lap "What are you talking about Torvil?"

"Well I read whole words... and Surion sounds them out and breaks them up..." Torvil said

"You both read properly, you just have different methods that's all" Ala said after a moment

Torvil nodded slowly. "I see..." He murmured softly and nodded at Surion.

Surion smiled at his father, well that was good to know at least

Ala watched them "Was that all you needed help on?"

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah... pretty much..."

Ala chuckled and went back to her book

Torvil smiled and headed back towards Surion's room

Surion hurried after him with a smile

Torvil walked into Surion's room and sat down on the bed, looking around.

Surion's room was mostly clean with just a few odds and ends scattered about, the spear he brought home from the cliffs leaning in a corner near the shelves and the claw his Granpa had slipped him sitting on one of his higher shelves that he could just barely reach

Torvil chuckled and looked around a bit more. "Nice..."

"I'm still tidying" he admitted and sat down beside his father the book laying in his lap

Torvil chuckled. "It's clean enough for Me Surion..." He chuckled. "But anyway...

Surion giggled "I guess it could be worse huh" he said and turned to look at his dad

Torvil nodded. "That's true..." He chuckled softly.

Surion pulled the cover of the book open once again looking down at it he knew the word "Alchemy" now only cause he'd already sounded it you and his father had told him the proper way

Torvil smiled. "I hope you like it... It's probably the only thing I can give you that doesn't suck..."

"Stuff you give doesn't suck dad" Surion said quietly remembering that day at the cliffs

Torvil sighed. "If you say so Surion..." He murmured softly laying his head back.

Surion bit his lip saying nothing though staring at the first page of the book slowly starting to read silently to himself

Torvil slowly stood up. "I'll leave you to read... Unless... You want me to stay..."

"I do, but it's up to you dad" he said looking towards him

Torvil nodded and sat down again and patted Surion's head. "I'll stay

Surion smiled "This could go faster if you read it to me dad" he said having a feeling his father had read the book many times already

Torvil chuckled and grinned. "Where are you at..."

"Here" he said and pointed where he was, he barely had started in fact was only a couple sentences in

Torvil smiled, he pulled Surion close and closed his eyes. "... Therefore, Alchemy is a science and is based very little on the magical properties that are found therein. Alchemy has a several laws, but the most important of those is Equivalent Exchange..."

Surion closed his eyes and listened to his father speak, he leaned against him smiling and taking in the information

Torvil talked for a very long time, he 'read' the book for several hours, it was quite a thick book, and there were times he would turn the pages to diagrams and point them out.

Surion looked at any images he was pointed out to he looked back to his father nodding

Torvil kept his up for a good while, till he finally slowly stopped and tapped his throat. "Drink break..."

Surion nodded "Ok dad" he smiled and sat up properly so his dad could do just that

Torvil smiled. "Wanna get something too... like a snack?

Surion nodded "Sure dad, my stomach is starting to call for some" he moved to get off his bed

Torvil smiled and started to head towards the kitchen, not fast, he wanted to give Surion some time to catch up.

Surion caught up and walked with a bit of a happy bounce, he thought this was such a neat science and was excited to learn more

Torvil smiled and ruffled up his hair as he walked past the living room heading into the kitchen.

Surion giggled and dropped onto a chair with a grin

Torvil got himself some blood and tossed Surion a snack bar with a chuckle.

Surion smiled and caught it pulling it open and started to munch on it, he watched his dad

Torvil took a long drink and let out a short huff. "Yeah... That hit the spot..."

Surion laughed "I bet it does dad" he swung his legs happily

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah..." He chuckled and poured a smaller glass for Surion and put it on the table for him,

Surion took it drinking it and soon was eager to learn more

Torvil smiled and motioned to head back to Surion's room.

Surion hurried out of the kitchen heading for his room it was probably obvious he was excited about this

Torvil smiled softly and walked towards Surion's room... He was glad he was excited about one thing...

Surion was already sitting on his bed with the book in his lap waiting for him when he arrived

Torvil smiled and sat down again closing his eyes.

Surion leaned against his father once again ready to listen to more

Torvil again started to talk, right where they had left off.

Surion listened to him silently looking at the images in the book as he did

Torvil smiled softly and kept this going, until they hit about half way.

Surion was still listening but when his father stopped speaking he looked up at him "This is cool!"

Torvil chuckled. "Good... But you'll have to wait for more..."

Surion nodded "Okay Dad" he nodded and sat up slowly closing hte book

Torvil chuckled and pointed out the window to explain why... It was dark out.

Surion blinked "Wow it got late" he said looking where his father pointed

Torvil chuckled softly. "I know Surion... That's why I stopped... It's a long book... It takes me days to read it..."

Surion nodded "It is a big book, it would probably take me even longer, I'm not that good a reader yet, my writing is bad too"

Torvil chuckled and ruffled his hair. "Time Surion... time..."

Surion giggled "Yeah I know"

Ala poked her head in "Hey study boys... You guys hungry yet?"

Torvil chuckled. "Starved love... Dinner ready?"

Surion nodded "Very hungry!" he said putting the book to the side

Ala laughed "It's been ready for a while I've been waiting for you"

Torvil chuckled. "Should have come and gotten us earlier then!" He laughed as he stood.

Ala laughed and left the room heading for the kitchen

Surion climbed off the bed and followed after his mom

Torvil smiled and followed after the two with a smile.

Ala had plates of seared steaks on the table waiting for them

Torvil smiled and sat quickly slowly moving to cut into his.

Surion climbed up to the table and dug in hungrily

Torvil smiled and ate slowly, yeah he was hungry, but no sense in rushing.

Ala chuckled "And what have you two been studying?" she asked them

"Been reading Surion Alchemy stuff..." Torvil said softly.

"It's cool mum! I wanna learn more and do it!" Surion said bouncing slightly

Ala chuckled "Well then, study and learn it" she looked at her mate 'sounds like a good father son bonding thing to me' she said

Torvil smiled. 'I know...' he replied. "He'll study... I'm glad he's interested in it..."

Ala smiled and nodded and watched the two of them

Torvil went back to eating, his eyes glancing towards Surion.

Surion looked a combination of excited and tired as he ate

Torvil smiled and chuckled. "After we eat... it's time for bed..."

Surion blinked and looked at him "Ok dad" he said with a nod

Torvil chuckled. "A strong mind is housed in a strong body, and the strongest bodies are well rested..."

"Yes dad" he said and nodded

Ala smiled not interfering

Torvil cast a glance at her for a moment and smiled. Besides... There's a lot you still have to teach him too...

Ala nodded with a smile and noticing her son take the last bite of his meal spoke "Off you go son"

Surion nodded pouting for a moment before hopping down and hurrying away

Torvil chuckled. "Should I go make sure he's asleep?"

Ala chuckled "If you want to love" she said leaning on the table

Torvil chuckled and leaned forward a little. "Juuuust to make sure he's listening..."

Ala smiled and motioned him to go ahead if he wanted to

Torvil smiled and stood. "Be back love..." And with that he hurried to Surion's room.

Surion's door was shut when his father arrived

Torvil slowly opened it, being silent.

Surion's head spun around hearing the door open he was in the midst of changing for bed

Torvil smiled. "Just checking in on you..." he nodded his head, have a good sleep Surion..."

"Nite dad" he said with a smile and quickly finished changing heading for bed

Torvil smiled and closed the door once he was sure Surion was in bed, and headed back for the kitchen.

Torvil's Journal

Dear Journal,

So Surion has an interest in Alchemy, I guess I can teach him, run him through the tests and what not... It's just a hobby for me... Torvin does it for a job... He teaches at the Kazehan acadmy, he probably actually knows more about Alchemy than I do... Which is funny, seeing as I taught him everything I knew before he left... But no matter, I'll do the same for Surion!

Visit to the GMFC

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala pulled open the door of the shop looking rather tanned, it'd been quite a while since she'd been in the clinic... though that didn't help that she'd been away. "Surion come on" she said looking over her shoulder

"Coming Mum" was his reply as he wandered in behind her his nose buried in a book that he was trying to read. He was taller then the previous visit, and his tail and hair and horns were all longer, he was a kid and like his mother he was nicely tanned as well

Lucifer Force

Luciel popped a head into the GMFC, holding the card that Dr. Havok had given her. According to him, there could be people here that could help her. Her belly felt heavier and she sighed, looking for a place to sit. When she looked about, she spotted a demon, or so she thought, and her child.

Smiling, trying to hide her rows of teeth, she walked to them. "He..hello. Mind if I sit down over here?"

Ala glanced over "Sure, thats no problem by me" she said having sat down moments earlier herself "I just got here myself" she smiled looking at the expecting woman his shoting her own pointy teeth and elongated incisors "I'm Ala, and the bookworm is my son Surion"

Surion didn't even look up, he'd sat in a chair across from his mom's chair, he was mumbling to himself as he read

Lucifer Force

"Oh, thank you so much. Things have been so hard to do things with this...new added weight, but I'm sure you already know what that's like." The mancubus grinned at both of them, feeling strangely comforted by the fact that that least they looked like demons. Much like herself.

She looked to Surion. "Ala, my name is Lu. Were you expecting through this clinic? I was told this place was wonderful for expecting parents."

Alatariel Rakamash

"Nice to meet you Lu.. Yes my mate and I used the clinic's assistance to have Surion, he's my third and my mate's fourth, two of those being twins." she offered a hand in greeting her tail moved and lay lazily over her lap

Lucifer Force

Lu gladly took, and shook, Ala's hand. It was good to be among people who have been in her same situation. "Did you see a doctor? I would like to know, since, well... None of my species have ever reproduced as far as I know. So it's all new to me."

Alatariel Rakamash

"Somewhere along the line I guess you could say, not sure who or whatever, I just went with the flow. What is your species?" she asked curiously

Surion glanced up his blue eyes peering at the woman his mother spoke to curiously

Lucifer Force

Since they're weren't human, obviously, it was safe to let them know. Lu took a breath. "I am a Mancubus. We eat human beings, and nothing else. A strange cross between a human and a demon. What kind of demon are you, if anything specific?"

Alatariel Rakamash

"Ahh I have a Succubus for a best friend" she said with a chuckle "I'm actually Kerrsalian Vampiric Dragon, not really much else not enough demon in me to add it to the list, mind you there is a teensy tiny" she said with a nod "Don't have a clue the specifics though, so I stick to the ones I know and I know theres a fair amount of in me" by now she was sorta rambling and realized it so shut up

Surion listened then chuckled softly and shook his head when she rambled "That coulda been said in a lot less words mum" he mused

Lucifer Force

"Succubus? My mother is a Succubus!" Lu was relieved to know that Ala knew several kinds of demons. She wondered when she could see her mother again. Surion seemed like a very mature child for his age, which Lu admired.

"What species is Surion, if you don't mind me asking?"

Alatariel Rakamash

"He's Kerrsalian Vampiric Dragon too" she said glancing over at her son "His father is the one with more demon in him... but dont ask me what kind, just know it has to do with rage..." she chuckled softly

Lucifer Force

"Oh, I see!" she smiled, looking down at her growing belly. What would come of this? The thought excited and scared her at the same time. But she hoped it wouldn't be too bad of an experience.

Lu had to ask, though. "Was it....painful? The birth, I mean..."

Alatariel Rakamash

"Actually is was really, but I attribute that to the fact he was a rather large baby by my standards nearly nine pounds" She smiled "But it was worth it"

Sundragyn

"Well, she was supposed to call me. That's all I'm saying. I'm getting worried."

"I don't see why she had to go anyway."

"She... she just did. Oh, I don't know."

Entering under cover of a confused conversation are four people: Sunny, her hat slipping sideways and showing a silvery horn, Ghlyssa, looking perplexed, and Airyn in her mother's arms, who was just pleased to be out and about, and Dana, a wee goose girl with her first feathers toddling after Sunny urgently.

Sunny waved a sheaf of papers at the Fa'e. "I don't intend on interfering. I really don't, I just--"

Ghlyssa pointed sheepishly at the other people present. Sunny hit herself in the head with the papers.

Lucifer Force

Lu looked up at the new arrivals and waved, trying to hide her swollen belly. She turned back to Ala. "I do hope the birth isn't too painful for me. I'd really hate that..."

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala looked up at the sounds of more voices and gave a wave, she only really semi knew one of them, and that was from meeting her daughter a long while back. "Hello" she greeted them with a smile and then looked back to Lu "We never can predict I suppose... only hope"

Surion had grown curious too "Hello" he said to the group as they grew quiet

Sundragyn

Sunny waved. "You. Go be sociable," she instructed Ghlyssa, and wandered over to a handy bulletin board to post one of the sheets of paper. With any luck, no one would mind that she was posting unauthorized notices.

The paper in question had a picture of Bronnie, and underneath asked in bold font: "Have you seen me? If so, tell me to call my mother."

While Sunny was preoccupied with that, Ghlyssa readjusted Airyn in her arms and wandered over. "Um. Hi."

Lucifer Force

Lu grinned brightly, hoping not to seem frightening to the new arrivals to the clinic. She scooted over as best she could on the couch to make room for mother and child. "Hello! My name is Lu. Who might you be?"

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala smiled and watched the fa'e sit down "Hello" she said once again glancing towards Sunny curiously "Pardon I'll be back" she said and wandered towards the bulliten board and sunny looking over her shoulder "Missing?" she said surprised and curious

Surion put his book down in his lap, finally someone who WASNT an adult "Hello" he greeted the mother and infant

Sundragyn

"It's complicated." Sunny grimaced. "I don't know where she is but she's supposed to be where she is... ten to one, she's just nowhere near a phone, in which case I'll berate her when she's home. It's... you know, that small chance it's something else." She grinned to try to downplay her nerves and scooped up Dana from the floor; the gosling squirmed and giggled.

Ghlyssa arranged herself next to Lu. "I'm Ghlyssa. This is my daughter Airyn, and that's Sunny and Dana." She pointed to everyone in turn.

Airyn squealed and babbled loudly at Surion.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala grimiced "I hope it's not something else, I remember meeting her when she was younger, she's a nice young lady" her tail wrapped around one of her legs as she spoke

Surion closed his book and put it on the chair and moved a lil closer offering a finger to the infant "I'm Surion, thats my mum over there" he motioned towards the other small group

Lucifer Force

"Sunny? Sunny and Dana! Oh! Oh...wait, what's going on?" Concerned, Lu tried to get up, but that proved too difficult, and she sat back down. She offered a seat next to her for Ghlyssa and the darling baby. Rubbing her own belly, she blinked at Airyn.

Sundragyn

Sunny grimaced; the notice affixed in place, she went to sit down next to Ghlyssa. "It's complicated. Tribal stuff. I'm not really at liberty to discuss the details. Suffice to say that Bronnie's gone on a little trip and I don't know when she'll be back and she said she'd call and she hasn't yet."

She screwed up her face suddenly, fighting the urge to cry; Ghlyssa put a comforting hand on her guardian's shoulder.

"You told me she was probably okay."

"Of course she's probably okay. But I worry."

"Ga-BAbabababa," Airyn told Surion seriously, and laughed. Dana peeped in answer to this, perplexed.

Lucifer Force

Luciel yanwed greatly, struggling to get up. She finally succeeded and coughed, wandering over to place a friendly hand on Sunny's shoulder. "I do hope your daughter returns safely. I would offer to help, but... In my condition, I'd get in the way. But if you ever need me, I'll come to help."

With a wave to Ala and Surion, Lu left the HQ.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala waved to the departing Lu before turning back to Sunny "I understand the privacy thing, theres a couple groups like that in my husband's people, the healers and the hunters"

Surion giggled "You are cute little one" he said in reply

Sundragyn

"I'm sorry for dumping on you," Sunny grimaced, and sighed. "I'm just all over the place right now... She can't come home until she's ready, I know that."

Ghlyssa put her arms around Airyn tighter; she sincerely hoped she never had to do anything like this. Airyn squirmed fitfully and waved a fist at Surion.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala smiled "Hey mother's have to stick together, even dragonic ones" she had noticed Sunny's horn poking partialy out of the hat "Was like that for Surion too when he went on his hunt to become a hunter, I didn't know where he would be with his guide, or when he'd get back. Still don't know where they went or what they did"

Surion grinned and put his hand palm up so the infant could use it almost like a drum if she wanted

Sundragyn

"Different, but similar." Sunny grinned tiredly and flopped back in the chair. "Oh man, I really can't rest very long. She could... she could call while we're, um, out here, and then..." Dana flapped and kicked as her foster mother got back to her feet. "I'm sorry. I wish I could talk with you properly, but... I really only came in to do that one thing. Thanks for your well-wishes."

Ghlyssa got up to follow and shrugged apologetically for her guardian. Airyn squealed and reached for Surion; she wanted to play! It wasn't fair!

Sunny hurried out, and Glee followed.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala nodded "Take care!" she said waving after them as she contemplated if they would stay or head out, which they eventually do

Surion watched the infant go with a wave and then sat down picking up his book again

Dear Diary

Bronnie is missing? That is not a good thing, but then if she's on some kind of hunt or something it's likely that she cannot... I know Surion and Torvil couldn't...
