he left to do his usual training. the entire day he didn't catch no sight or smell of monsters. he even searched around and couldn't find any. this worried him a bit. at the end of the day he came back to the cave and walked in.

Ben was in the cave and leaning against the wall, looking at the screen. He wasn't typing, but holding a piece of jerky and eating it. He still wasn't done with the fourth character and this was starting to take a toll on his nerves. He took another bite of the jerky and was chewing it when Smash came in. He looked over and held up his hand to wave since he wasn't the type to talk with his mouth full.

he waved back and walked over to him. "hey. how was today? you look stressed out."

He swallowed what was in his mouth and stretched his body. "I am stressed. This is goddamn horrible." He took another bite of the jerky he had and continued to look at the screen.

he looked at the screen but what he seen didn't make any sence to him. "that sucks. how much longer do you think it'll take?"

"I don't even know. I was hoping to get this one decoded by tonight, but I'm only halfway done with it. Who knows what the fifth one will be like." He finished the jerky he was eating then took a drink of water before starting to type again.

he sat down near him and watched him work. "well i guess you got a few more days but i think we're really pushing it. i actually tried to find monsters today and couldn't even catch a sniff of them anywhere."

He thought about it and decided to ask a question while typing. "You sure that it's not just you hunting and killing all of them?"

it's true that he had killed a lot of then but it was still bothering him. "that's what i thought at first but i mean, couldn't xandus just make more? he made that very clear when we first met."

"He could, but why would he if they would just be killed soon enough. I'm sure the only ones that are still alive are the ones in the prison area where Xandus resides. They're like his servants as well as a pet." He continued typing and let out a growl as he was getting aggrivated.

he nodded. that made sence to him. "i suppose your right. if thats the case then i still have to kill the servents first then."

He continued typing and stopped only to crack his knuckles. "Why are you so obsessed with killing all of those creatures? You've already killed so many of them."

"Well, don't get yourself killed over something like that. After I get this machine done, if you have a chance to go after Xandus kill him first." He continued typing and then took a drink from the jug of water he kept near himself.
