Delilah chuckled weakly, "Yes she is...maybe we should be heading back now Meridian, it's starting to get dark."
"Leaving so soon?" Zarina asked swishing her tail. "But things really liven up around here at night."

Despite the dragon's herding efforts, Zarina leaped away, scamping towards the cave, "No way, I'm not going anywhere."

"Ugh, I guess we better chase them down. Silly babies. Meridian went leaping out after Zarina, trying to grab her towards him.
Scarlet simply walked over to Delilah and said she was fine going somewhere else. She had had enough of being the oddball in their little family. If the world was better out there she would have to come back for her brother.

Zarina grinned seeing the dragon chase after her. "So he wants to play, huh?" dodging under a low hanging branch and weaving her way between the trees.
"Don't worry," Delilah told the little one. "You'll be alright, we just want to get out of the forest before it gets too dark."

This little one was starting to get annoying. She had attitude, didn't listen, and was leading him through bushes he didn't fit into. His wings were nothing but a hindrance and he felt like a great bulky weight as she zipped around him. He started thinking that maybe he should torch the place so she wouldn't have anywhere to hide.

Zarina giggled as she scampered up into one of the trees, huddling against the truck to hide from the dragon.
"Meridian?" Delilah called after the dragon. "Are you alright?"

"No! This is more work than I thought it would be. I swear I'm never having any children!" He really was getting frustrated and thought to leave the child where it was.

Delilah hesitated to remind Meridian that it was a little late for that. "The sun's almost all the way down Meridian..." she didn't have to mention that they didn't want to be in the area when Sangula woke up.
From her little perch, Zarina giggled again. He'd never find her there.

"Lets go then. I'm done here." He turned back around and left the baby there. He wasn't curious enough to want to run into Sangula again.

Zarina narrowed her eyes on her sister. She won't leave with them. She wouldn't...
"Come on," Delilah said giving the little girl a gentle nudge towards the direction out of the woods. "Let's go."

Mirage, who had been staying really quiet, had watched the whole thing. They weren't afraid of the sun. It didn't bother them so what was their secret?
Watching her sister with the female, her whole demeanor changed. "Scarlet wait! Mother will hurt you if you leave." There was a little note of panic in her voice, however sweet it sounded. She scampered to the edge of the shadows, the gold jewelry glittering in the left over light.
