He shrugged and set A.C. down gently, propping her against the wall. "She's neat."

((Lol, ED. You ask a guy--especially a teenage guy--an emotional question? xd ))

Haldis shrugged, not being able to understand how a child could really be all that neat. There were always so many of them all over the place after all. She looked at AC and blinked a few times. "She dead?"

He blinked, adjusting A.C. absently. "Huh? No, I sure hope not. Tha'd be pretty sucky to come back to, wouldn't you think?"

Haldis shook her head. "not your sister. Her." She pointed at AC. "Is she dead?"

"Huh?" He turned his head to where she was pointing and froze. "N-n-no, she's n-not d-dead. W-w-why?"

Haldis shrugged, "because she's hurt and not moving."

"Yeah, well." He got up and dusted of his hands. "She's not, so. Let's go." He started to walk very quickly back to the rec.

Loraine had changed into a cute pair of demin jeans that were a bit big for her, but with the help of a plain black belt kept tight to her thin form. She also wore a white tank with a kakis colored spring jacket over top. Her blonde hair was in two pigtails that were low to the bottom of her head. Her eyes were red from the false tears she'd shed, and maybe some real ones as well. She held her favorite and only porcelien doll to her closely, to make sure she wasn't stolen.

The child wandered seemingly aimlessly down the hallway in search of well, someone that might be able to help her. She was wandering down the halls fearful and frightened. She'd seen what had happened to most of the prisoners, the guards, and the civilians. Though she'd killed before, it had only been for her own safety, and if she had to, she'd do so again. But she at least wanted to try and make friends first, if that was possible.

Loraine headed down a new hallway that was between the rec area and where Haldis and Jeff were located, heading towards the people, but she paused when she heard voices, and paused fearful of what to expect. Tears already began to stream down her face, hopefully the teary-eyed young child look would give these people a softer approach.

"So we're just leaving her here then?" Haldis asked as she followed after the boy. She tilted her head as she heard Loraine approaching. She looked up at the teary eyed girl and blinked with her wide blue eyes for a moment. "Hello," She said, "who are you?"

"Yeah, uh, got a, got a pool game to fini..." He trailed off as he saw the other little girl. "Wait, there're two of you? There more little kids hiding around here somewhere?"

There were a few specks of red stains on her white tank top from splattered blood, like she'd been sprayed by someone who'd just lost a limb, or been beheaded. Honestly, she hadn't killed anyone.. yet. Though, that didn't mean that she wouldn't if she had to defend herself.

She held Elaine closely to her, like the girl who spoke first would steal it from her. Why would anyone, in this type of situation, anyways, want to take a doll from a scared child? Tears still streamed down her face and she gave a little sniffle plus a hiccup. Her bottom lip trembled, but she looked from the girl to the boy then back again.

"I-I'm Loraine.." she stated, hopefully going by her real name wouldn't get her into trouble later.

When the boy spoke she cradled her doll even tighter, and moved a step back like the boy was accusing her of something. "I-I don't k-know.." her voice was soft, frightened and more water leaked from her moist green eyes.

The big, homely teen shrugged awkwardly. "Hey, now... you don't have'ta cry... I didn't mean I didn't want ya, it's just... kinda weird, all these little girls pop up, I didn't see anybody before the raid. Even A.C., I'd just catch glimpses 'cause she was always runnin' aroun'. I'm sorry, I guess somethin' happen' to your all folks..."

He gave Loraine a nervous look. "Hey, you know, do you like cookies? We got this cook back in the rec, she acts grumpy an' all, but Ah' think she's got a soft spot for kids." The more awkward he felt, the more his accent dissolved into a soft drawl.

Fearful eyes looked up at the seemingly older boy. In reality he was actually quite young compared to her real age. But she felt it would be easier to portray an innocent child than a criminal. Not that she really was a criminal, just a girl woman with a troubled past. Not that, compared to most criminals, her past was that troubled. Just.. a lot of things made her angry about her past. Which, if anyone knew the exact circumstances, maybe they'd understand.

When the boy mentioned her folks she began to cry. Yes, something had happened to the people she'd previously been living with, but that had been awhile ago. And she'd already took revenge on those people who'd hurt them. Not that she honestly cared for those particular foster parents, but.. it still wasn't nice killing people and such without a good reason.

Loraine buried her head behind her doll as the tears flowed down her face like a rapidly growing stream. But when the word cookies was mentioned she stopped her tears and peaked her out from behind her doll. Cookies? Where!?

"C-could I have a c-cookie, p-pwease?" she asked with a sniffle.

Haldis blinked from Loraine to the hacker boy. She couldn't tell Loraine from another little girl, but Haldis wasn't really much of a little girl either. Her crystal blue eyes blinked again. "Cookie is a person, but she likely has cookies with her."

The 'older' boy nodded. "Uh, yeah. She calls herself Cookie. 'Cause she cooks. She's not bad. But I saw this plate of cookies the guy at the bar was eating, an' she was the only one in the kitchen, right? Should still be some left, I bet."
