Pendari opened her mouth to speak, but her eyes moved and locked onto Forde. She closed her mouth quickly, holding back whatever it was she would have said. She stayed completely quiet.

Suddenly Cookie started cackling. She pretended to wipe a tear from her eye and said, "Woman, the child took it, but she traded it for some marbles. Look elsewhere for your stupid toy, it's not in here."

Haldis moved back to the counter and lifted herself up, watching the whole scene with little concern.

Jarred paused, then lowered his gun. "Pen, just help me find the keys and we can get out of here. Noone will find us, I swear it. I can wipe your name from every directory everywhere."

I can wipe your name from every directory everywhere." Jarred took a small step back, raising his gun slightly, looking around the room. He chanced a look behind him, to see if someone was speaking to him.

Pendari pulled away from Jarred, glancing at Cookie, then back to Jarred. She leveled her eyes at Jarred, wishing she could send him a message, clarify what she was doing. But there were other eyes in the room, she wasn't the only one with access to spider cameras, and then there was Forde. "Trust me." She mouthed.

While Pendari was looking the other way, Cookie sidled forward and silently picked up the child.

Pendari took the interuption time to quickly slip out of the kitchen. Her orb followed her. She decided she could contact the child later, in the mean time she needed out of there, away from possible disaster. She plotted out her next plan, intending to double her efforts, even if it cost them a good amount of time.

Haldis was content with the coddling. She wasn't particularly interested in going with Pendari, she knew everything there was to know about her already.

Cookie eyed Myke, then pushed him out to door, too. Just trust that she's inherently stronger than him and that anything him did to try and stay--such as grab hold of the doorframe, her, the door itself, a countertop--wouldn't work.
She closed and locked the door, tapping on it three times with one knuckle to let Jack know.
Shuffling back to the counter, face like stone, she started cleaning up the ingredients and bowl their intruders had knocked over.

Arch the Angel Jarred shook his head, turning to see Pen leaving. "Pen!" He yelled, running after her. "Pen! Wait!" Pendari sped up a little faster pushing away from the crowds and further into the hallway.
