Poinsettia felt his time with Raoul dancing was magical. The man before him took great care with the boy. His heart felt so flutter like that it felt almost stopped even though it beat against his heart loudly, he thought it was too loud even. Much like what a stop watch would sound like wrapped in cotton.
((tottaly jacked that cotton/stop watch thing from Poe.sorry.))
When Raoul kissed Poinsettia his heart stopped, not really but it felt stopped. Did this man realize what he just got himself into? "Its...fine...why did you...do you know what you have gotten yourself into sir Raoul? I will answer; you have kissed me...someone who already has feelings for you, that means now, that I won’t be able to let you go. It also means if you choose to stay with me, you will have to deal with such a burdensome boy." Poinsettia's bright eyes were big; he looked like he didn't fully understand anything that was going on.

((lol s'alright, I love good 'ole Poe)) Quote: "Its...fine...why did you...do you know what you have gotten yourself into sir Raoul? I will answer; you have kissed me...someone who already has feelings for you, that means now, that I won’t be able to let you go. It also means if you choose to stay with me, you will have to deal with such a burdensome boy." Burden, what burden, Raoul found himself frowning as he stared at his companion, the expression on his face a mixture of confusion and elation. "Why would I consider someone as delightful as yourself burdensome? He shook his head slightly, reaching in with a finger to trail through Poinsettia's hair. "But I'm glad to hear you have feelings for me...because I have feelings for you two." The latter part of his statement came out in an embarrassed rush. Embarrassed? Since when did de Cordoba start having such notions? To hide his flustered expression, Raoul leaned closer to give Poinsettia another, less brief, kiss.

The kiss made Poinsettia light headed, he had only been kissed one other time but at this point this kiss was the one he felt the most love from. His lips tingled and the butterfly's in his stomach burst into flames. ((how sweet.)) Poinsettia closed his eyes, he had not been so happy since he was diagnosed with SCD ((could also be SCA)) he leaned into the kiss slightly and his thin yet long hands moved to the small of Raouls back. This was the sweet symphony of life, this is who he wanted, this is what he wanted. What did it matter if he died or not, so long as this man loved him and Poinsettia loved him back. He could live with this.
'Mr.Surgoi, I'm afraid you have Spinocerebellar Degeneration. There is no cure, someday you will not be able to move, or talk, I am sorry.'
The words that had once been said to him ment nothing now, he would live his life to the fullest, hopefully Raoul would be with him throughout.

And they said life ended after death, Raoul mused giddily as he wrapped tighter around Poinsettia, losing himself in kiss after delirious kiss, feeling an incredible ball of warmth rise from the depths of his entity and just gently float up and up and up from him like a cloud. This...is the best feeling ever, he whispered into his companion's ear, pulling back only a fraction to give the latter room to catch his breath before kissing him again...
Reluctantly Raoul had to pull away once more, noting the steadily rising color on Poinsettia as their kisses grew longer. Perhaps it was time to let him breathe, the vampire chuckled to himself, sliding one lady finger back into his companion's soft tresses to brush back a few errant strands. And then he looked up and his smile faded a little. She was still there, looking so lost and confused...Raoul felt his forgotten pang of guilt return with a vengeance and let out an unconscious growl.
What is she to me anyway- and what was I supposed to do, allow such a treacherous liaison to continue. He argued with the alien voice of conscience whispering back in his mind- apparently another side effect of the many emotions he was new experiencing because of his present company. They'd looked so...content together back in the room...he suddenly wanted to accost the Cruznik, see for himself; try to understand the dilemma her sorrow was causing him and looked back into Poinsettia's eyes, "There is someone...it won't take but a minute, I promise. You can come with me if you like."

Dizzily, and red, Poinsettia took a breath. "Wow!" he gasped. That was the best thing he had ever done. Never before had he felt such lust and love.
Raoul had asked if he wanted to see someone, Poinsettia's curiousity and words were spoken before his brain processed it. "Ok!" he said smileing gleefully.
His body felt a little tired and he wanted to sit down, but also wanted to stay with Raoul for as long as he could.

Raoul nodded gratefully and took his companion's arm and in the space of a heart beat they were on the other side of the hall. He found her leaning close to the walls, shrouded by the shadows, and noted that she'd changed her attire. What is it with the dressing fixation these days, he muttered under his breath, motioning to Poinsettia that he' rather approach this person alone.
Then, with a neutral smile, he moved closer and stood beside her. "You don't look too happy to be here." He leaned back unto his left leg, propping himself up on his right, arms folded casually- or at least that was what it looked like. Raoul poised his finger over the spring of his stiletto, hidden on the cuff of his elbow, ready to respond at the slightest indication.

Namine heard the voice and decided not to look at the person. "I dont know what you want. But I recommend that you leave me in peace." Namine was glad for the cloak that hid her eyes. The flood of emotions that was overtaking her was making it hard on her senses. She did not want to associate with anyone. She was afraid that the wrong mistep may cost that person their life. All she wanted was someone like Ayla. She wanted her companion. She wanted the ache in her heart to end. Namine moved away from the figure. "Please just let me be. Go and enjoy the night with your love."

Poinsettia stayed where Raoul had left him all the while he looked as if he was trying to balance. His eyes travled around and then onto the person Raoul was with, his curiousity was getting the better of him. He wanted to follow this person and see who she was but he stayed firm in place, or as firm as he could get.

Raoul felt a little dark satisfaction in finding that the Krusnik was still rubbed the wrong way after her little lovers' spat. Ah she'll get over it, he mused, well that is if she lives past this night. For one thing he was almost certain that word was already out that there was a Krusnik hanging around. So, whoever planned this ball must have counted on her presence creating some sort of conflict and Raoul's actions might only have but a cog in the wheel, but not the whole grand scheme of things. I wonder if she even realizes that she's just a pawn like the rest of us here.
Nevertheless his objective was to quieten this annoying bit of conscience, and so his smile returned as he threw a half glance at Poinsettia, "Oh my love is generous with me, not that he should be worried; I'm afraid one contradiction is enough for the evening," He finished with a chuckle, gesturing to her garbs. "So I take it then that you're not happy to be here? But why, surely you must have been invited like everyone else."

Poinsettia blinked for a second trying to process what was going on around him, he grabbed onto a nearby marble pole and leaned against it blinking.
'-"I no longer love you, stay away from me you freak!"-'
Poinsettia shook his head from his thoughts, he was thinking of what he was doing again. The boy was thinking about sleeping right there and then. Would people stare? What did he care? His eyes closed and he stayed perched against the marble pole.
((crud, I can't remember what the marble pole thing is called.))

Namine sat in a nearby bench "It is not your business wether im happy or not. I dont understand what interest you have in my person. I can only assume that you know who I am. As such you should fear me. Yet here you are sticking your nose where it does not belong. This then leads me to believe that you are trying to find out what my reasons are to attend this ball." Namine let the hood fall off her head. Her red eyes shone brightly in the darkness. "Let me tell you one thing nosferatu if I wanted to get rid of my kind I'd have done it long ago. You would have been dust in my hands before becoming acquainted with the lovely creature over yonder." Namine looked at the figure and her eyes softened. She could tell something was not quite right and like Namine she too was in love. Only her love would not end in heartbreak.
"Yet unlike you and the rest of my pitiful kind I have emotions. I strive for more than the lust and violence that is so common to us. One night is all I asked for. One night to live as if I were normal. To flirt, dance, and have fun. Yet-" she spat " Yet I cannot escape my fate because of ignorant fools like yourself. You cannot understand what I am and as such you fear me. Vampires fear me...Humans fear me. You do not know me or what I go through." Namine's voice began to crack and her tears flowed beneath her mask. "Do not presume to understand. Do not try to involve yourself with me. Instead enjoy what you have found. What I believe you do not deserve. What was taken from me....Love!" Namine looked at his partner sorrowfully. "Enjoy the gift you have received on this night. I belong to no world and as such will walk alone. I vowed that I would not take a life unless it threatened my very existence. Do not make me break that promise." Namine placed the hood on her head once more. "Now leave me to my thoughts."

Raoul's eyes quickly flitted to Poinsettia, leaning so precariously against the pole and resisted the urge to fly immediately to his side. Instead he slowly, deliberately pushed himself off the wall and stretched, not bothering to hide the glint of his weapon as his sleeve rose up, and then folded his arms. "For one thing, I don't fear you Krusnik." He pulled a face and shrugged, "I despise you and your kind as a whole about as much as I despise most of mine- nevertheless I will concede surprise at your elaboration because you tell me that you feel and want things that seem so unnatural for your kind. I've never met a Krusnik who just wants to flirt. A defect then? A blessing or a curse? Perhaps it's better to be part of the crowd after all."
Raoul took a half step backward, hastening toward Poinsettia but then turned back, adding almost as an afterthought, "I don't try to understand entities that I cannot reconcile myself with. Besides, I seriously doubt that my walking alive from this conversation has as much to do with your noble promise as It does simple self preservation. Look around you Krusnik, your disadvantage is appalling and I daresay you can't ignore it. Still I'll leave you to your thoughts for I have seen and heard enough to make my own conclusions. I have to wonder though, your gamble on a throw, was he worth it?"
He walked over to his sleeping companion and gently nudged him, "I doubt this pole is as comfortable as a bed, and I am very sure there are plenty of those in this fine establishment."

Poinsettia felt his heart jerk, he blinked a couple of times and wiped his eyes. "Yes, I know." His head felt a little odd, like it was maybe vibrating or going numb. Dizziness caught up with him. His head cocked back and he fell to the floor. His hands had not stopped his fall like normal persons hands normally would. Someone else would have put out their hands to stop the fall. He didn't. Poinsettia's head had slammed against the linoleum floor, blood came from his head but he couldn't feel it. 'Blood...not good...vampire...' white lights formed in front of the young mans eyes and he passed out.

"Do not think I am unaware of this fact. I may go down due to sheer numbers but I trust that most of you will join me. I would at least rather die bravely and honorably than live and act cowardly. That is what seperates me from the rest. Call it naivete or what you may but I believe in providing others the chance to prove me wrong. That is a characteristic I dont think you possess. I can only hope that your partner there changes you for the better. After all you wouldn't want her to feel pain. So why should you wish to be the cause of someone else's." Namine rose from her seat and moved further away from the two.
Her anger had crested immensely after that conversation. Why couldnt it be different? Why wouldnt anyone leave her in peace? She moved to the garden hoping she would find solitude there. Hoping no one would take interest and approach her. Namine decided to take a risk and she sent a message to her friend Ayla. Ayla I must talk to you..please come.

Raoul swore softly as is companion lurched to the floor, his arms jerked out to break the young man's fall but it came too late and all he grasped was an arm and his torso before his head hit the ground. Blast it- he's bleeding! He hurriedly scooped Poinsettia in his arms and made for the nearest exit from the hall before the scent of still warm human blood could incite his fellows.
