"A good example?" Jhovanna raised an eyebrow at that sentiment. Did he really believe that following her parents orders like a slave counted? All she'd done was work for them, exorcism, baby-sitting, exorcism, baby-sitting. It'd been a quick way to grow up, that was certain. But...
"Perhaps," Jo mused softly, "I certainly hope so at least..."

Bruno hesitated to speak perhaps sensing her discontent with his statement. "Uh..I meant.....as being a strong female role model for your siblings of course."

Jhovanna nodded. "Thank you, I noticed." She looked off farther down the hallway, thinking. "Although I'm certain there will be some who disagree, I can name at least a dozen,"

Jhovanna, surprisingly, shook her head, red hair flickering the the dim lights of the building. "Actually, they should know me extremely well. They're the other side of the family."
"If you recall Vlad the Impaler's legacy," she started, "He made himself infamous by his ferocious tactics of leaving impaled bodies to discourage his enemies. Later he would become an extremely dangerous man for over a century...Count Dracula."
"There are two sides to his family however. The family he had during his years as a human, the original Vlads, the ones whom I take my last name from as an exorcist. And then there is the family he made with his three wives as a vampire, who take the name of Dracula as vampires."
"Vlad's legacy as Dracula had cursed both sides of the family. Despite his later destruction and the Vlads reputation as exorcists, people began to see us all as vampires, mainly from our relatives more gruesome deeds." Jhovanna looked off, "I...I think Vlad was truly happy to have died. He most certainly did when he took on the name Dracula."

Bruno listened wide eyed and a little shocked "Thats......" he couldnt get himself to say anything other than that word. He tried to wrap his head around her story and blinked a couple times "Wow.......thats....such history I didnt know that he had such a family." He paused for a moment and then he looked at her "....do you know....what a .....Strigoi is?"

Jo thought for a moment, "Yes I believe so. Troubled souls raised from graves...they are especially dangerous. I dealed with a few in my lifetime." Jhovanna looked carefully at Bruno, then made a guess.
"Did a strigoi take your wife?"

Bruno paused "It's the bride of the damned...she took my love from me and now I'm left to wander the earth fleeing from the dark son."
He spoke harshly but he still felt sad.

"The Damned Bride!?" Jo's eyes widened, "Oh of course! Lilith was Vlad's first wife as a human! She committed suicide after his last battle as a human, and that's what provoked him into becoming a vampire!"

He then smiled "Well a man named Abel appeared shortly after my wives death and sealed her away in an ancient mirror and hid her away."
He shook a little, "that man....frightened me...his eyes were so bold yet I could feel the good that flowed though him."
