Jin leaned back in one of the classrooms chair, gazing out the window to look at the wonderful day. Only him and the teacher were in the class at the moment. The teacher prepared for the days class while Jin merely waited. It was something he was working on. Patience. He always had trouble with it one way or another.

For today, he wore carpenter jeans, thin white windbreaker long sleeve shirt, running shoes and his red bandanna. He was an athletic type. Slim, practically no fat on his body, tall and lengthy. His med-long dark brown hair rested on his shoulders as he thought about the past couple of days and the days to come.

For the past couple of day, Jin has been hard in his training and studies as he prepared himself for the test to start expert air training. Last night was the first night in days which he had received a decent amount of sleep. His studies and training had been keeping him up all night and day. All he waited for was the headmaster to call him up for the test. Until then, he would keep on training so he could pass the test.

Adjusting his bandanna over his forehead, Jin stood up straight and looked at the clock. Almost time for class to start. Though he knew the five minutes would feel like five hours for him. Jin sighed unhappily as he turned his attention to the teacher for a few seconds then back to the outdoors.

She groaned and buried her head deeper into her pillow, yanking her blankets tightly around her in one brisk motion. She was rather irritated, at no one in particular -- but at the world in general, for waking her up. For now whatever ounce of conscience she had in her being would force her out of bed and to the classes she didn't want to attend, for that was the responsible, smart choice.

She didn't know what time of day it was, or how long she had been asleep -- only that she hadn't been asleep for long enough, in her opinion. But regardless, she tossed off her blankets and sat up, glowering at the air in front of her face. She swung her legs off her bed and onto the floor and used the bed post to hoist herself to her feet, stumbling a few steps before gaining her balance. She tried unsuccessfully to finger-comb through her severe case of bed head before wandering to the kitchen-corner of her dormitory to make her daily cup of hot chocolate.

When the microwave stopped humming and beeped to indicate the finish of cooking time, she took the mug out and set it on the counter to cool, (not in the mood to use magic to speed up the process) and began to rummage around her floor for something clean to wear. She slipped on a pair of jeans and t-shirt, and then hunted in the cupboard for mini-marshmallows. For hot chocolate was not complete without mini-marshmallows.

She slipped on her sneakers, not bothering to hunt down a pair of socks, and wandered outside of her dormitory, mug in hand. She had forgotten to look at the clock before leaving, and she kept losing all her watches, so she still hadn't the first idea what time it was. Hopefully she would meet someone on the way who could tell her the time.

“Lilith Siren?” Liriale asked then looked up to see that the girl on the left shyly raised her hand and squeaked a “here!” She had light skin and long jet-black hair coupled with straight bangs, swept to the right side. The strands periodically fell to cover her dark sapphire eyes. Lilith wore a dark blue skirt, a light blue and black-layered long sleeve shirt, and black flat shoes.

“Phenia Siren?”
Liriale read then looked up as the other twin shot her hand up in the air and waved it around, “That’s moi!” Phenia was tanner than her sister and her black hair was short with soft layers. She too had bangs, but they were swept to the left side of her face and were fasten by a two blue bobby pins so they wouldn’t fall into her dark sapphire eyes. Phenia wore an ocean themed sweater and blue faded jeans that nearly covered her light blue sneakers.

“Hmmm an interesting and very blue pair. Judging by their physical features I would guess…around eighteen years old” Liriale noted to herself as she placed the roll call sheet aside. “Well, since this is an ‘Expert’ level class, both of you must have passed the intermediate level class and final test with excellent marks. I’m curious as to how each one of you handled the test because in this class we will learn how to take your powers to another level, one filled with endless possibilities, but nonetheless, a far more dangerous one. Though you may have passed the test, it is up to the professor to assess whether you are ready for what I can teach you.” Liriale walked around her desk and headed past the students as she said, “Please follow me.” Liriale led them to the pond, where with two fluid movements of her hands produced two spinning spheres of water extracted from the pond. The whirling orbs were the size of golf balls that hovered above the palms of her hands.

Class had started, and Jin was in full attention. But, like how it had been for a few days now, it was more review and such. Which, he didn't need. He wanted answers. Tips on making his powers stronger and probably some advice on how to be prepared for the test. He knew a good majority of the students in his class were waiting for their turn to take the test. And a review wouldn't do them squat.

Jin released another sigh of frustration as the teacher went on about past experiences and what not. Jin new it was good to review, but this much was almost stupid. He knew everything that he had been taught and could do any spell with speed and precision. He was practically top in his class. Most likely second, but he didn't care. Ranks were nothing to him as long as he advanced to his liking.

As he walked, the Headmaster was filled with joy. So many new students were transferring within the week, and he was ecstatic to meet them all. His infamous top hat and tuxedo that he was famous for wearing made everyone around him aware of who he was. His appearance of mid 20's through many new people off, but his experience made him well worth his title. Besides, he only looked young.

The second bell rang, and he looked around to see who was still in the halls. There were quite a few students, but he excused them. After all, who cared about the first week of school? A particular student caught his eye, and he casually altered his path to intersect with hers.

"Miss Scarlett," he addressed her, "shouldn't you be getting to class? It is already 9 o'clock." His expression was serene and that of a parent concerned for his child. All of his students were his children, and they all brought him joy.

"Ah." She said when she heard someone address her, looking up to see the unmistakable figure of the headmaster approaching her. Well, at least he had saved her the trouble of asking him the time. "G'morning, headmaster." She replied, temporarily brushing off his question by bringing her mug up to her lips to take an unnecessarily long swig of hot chocolate in order to delay her response and give her time to think up a reasonable excuse. After a few minutes of off-topic thinking (it was too early in the morning for her to focus on even the simplest of tasks, including excuse-thinking-upping,) she came up unsuccessful, and shrugged. She took a different approach. "If it's that late already, shouldn't you be teaching some class? Isn't that amongst your headmaster-ly duties?"

She had gotten down to the foam (that was once mini-marshmallow, but alas, was now only a fraction of its former state of greatness,) but still pretended to be drinking deeply, slurping to add dramatic effect. Oh, the clever headmaster would probably see through such feeble attempts at deceit -- but she honestly didn't care. At least she was trying, and that was an accomplishment in of itself.

The Headmaster chuckled at her response, amused.

"You are a bright one!" he teased. "If the situation arises, then yes, I will play the role of substitute teacher. However, teachers are still arriving, since they have just been appointed this morning, and I think the students will be alright for a few minutes. Speaking of new teachers, I believe you have one. Would you like me to help you to your class?" he asked her, genuinely offering help. The room system was not exactly easy, and 2D was not an exception. His charming smile assured the girl he meant no harm in his offer.

She reached a finger in the bottom of her mug and scooped out the marshmallow foam, licking it off. Once empty and satisfactorily clean, she relaxed her arms and let it dangle loosely from her middle finger, swinging it back and forth. She intentionally made no response to his comment about her quote-unquote being 'a bright one', seeing as nothing she could say would do anything but contradict his compliment. "I wouldn't like to go to class at all, actually, but seeing as I kinda have to anyway -- I'd rather not find it on my own. " She replied finally, rubbing at a scuff mark on the floor with the toe of her sneaker absentmindedly. "So whose this new teacher you spoke of? If he or she is strict, than I think I'd rather just go back to bed."

The Headmaster was patient, smiling his kind and warm smile. He responded to her hidden request.

"Then let us go," he commented, not unkindly. He began to head towards the stairs, and once she understood where they were heading, he let his pace slow to that of hers. His polished shoes clicked against the marble stairs in such a musical way, he could not help but admire the soothing sound.

"Miss Montoya will be your new teacher," he began. "She will be as strict as she needs to be, though I understand she will be kind if you behave accordingly," he said, answering her question. Truthfully, that could be said about any teacher, so he knew it was ok to give such information. He normally did not tell his students about their teachers and let them find out by themselves, for certain teachers had methods involving that kind of information.

He led her to 2D, located on the second floor. Though a normal person would have left at that, he did not, being abnormal himself. He opened the door, letting her go first, and followed her inside, greeting the teacher.

"Good morning, Miss Montoya," he said cheerfully, remembering the days of when she was a student and he greeted her in the same way.

“There, Hamlet, you have finally found your place on the bookshelf, I can’t believe someone would leave you laying on the floor like that,”
cooed Leah to a very old worn book copy Shakespeare’s greatest plays. She was on her tiptoes balancing on a ten foot sliding ladder of the second level of the library. The University of Enchantment library was nestled on the first floor next to the doors leading to the eating area. If one were to push open the wooden double doors with mythical creatures engraved on its panel, then they would find themselves walking into the football sized and silent space of the library. Here, persian and oriental rugs cover the floors and welcome students as they explore the first level of library. Bookshelves line all four walls of this room, while the middle is intermingled with couches, lamps, study tables, antiques, sculptures, and other works of art. At the center, is a circular office like table where the librarian would sit watch over the students occasionally hushing at the noisy ones. Two marble-carpeted spiral staircases, one near the entrance and the other located near the back of the library, rose to the second floor. Here more stuffed bookshelves lined the walls, while the middle is fenced off and opens to the expanse of the lobby below. If one took the time and looked up, they would see that the ceiling was done exactly as the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, just don’t stare to long with you mouth wide open or you will get a neck ache.

As Leah set the book back into its precise spot in the Elizabethan era section, she noticed the time on her watch. “Shoot!” she cursed under her breath, she must have lost track of time for it was very close to the starting of class, about *ding dong* 5 minutes to the start of class, as the bell confirmed her suspicion. Deciding to take the shortcut, Leah pushed off the second floor railing and glided down to the ground, careful not to knock off a Grecian bust of Athena with her foot. She sped off through the double doors and in one great leap, jumped to the second floor. Anyone that she would have passed would have only have felt a gust of wind rush by. She passed by 2A, 2B, 2C, made a mental note to visit and see how Liriale’s first day went, “Ah-ha! 2D” she said triumphantly and she opened the door casually with no hint showing that she just had beaten the time of an Olympic sprinter by a long margin.

Leah’s classroom had a high ceiling covered in a long stain glass panel depicting a clear blue puffy cloud filled sky. There were two rows of four chairs lined up on the furthest end off the class, while the rest of the room was left open, except for a large bouncy cushion covering the hard wood floor, just in case. On the opposite wall from the door were four windows that were pushed and one could view the botanical gardens and grass area outside. A light breeze flowed through the classroom, as Leah made her way to the front of the class where Professor Puff, a tall willow man with graying and thinning hair stood giving the students a review before their new professor came in to take over and he could leave to retirement in the Bahamas. Leah smiled at her old mentor and friend as he politely excused himself and wished the students good luck and the right winds to lead them onward towards their future. “Well then, shall we begin? I am Professor Montoya and I will be guiding you through this course, the actually learning portion, is up to you.” Leah stated to the students with a smile. Then she shifted her eyes towards the door which opened to reveal the Headmaster and another student behind him. “Good morning Headmaster” she beamed with the same grin she first gave him long ago. “Ah, I see you brought another student,” she added, appraising the student through her glasses. “Please come have a seat.” Leah smiled congenially.

She gave an awkward one-handed wave to her new teacher in greeting, and paused in the doorway when offered a seat, wondering if it was too late to turn back and sleep the remainder of the day away in the familiar comfort of her dorm room. She decided it was. Looking to the headmaster, as if for rescue, (a useless hope, she knew -- but it never hurt to try -- so long as it didn't involve much effort,) before making her way reluctantly into the classroom and picking a seat near the back where she was the least likely to be noticed. She set down her mug at the foot of her desk, placing it carefully close to her so it would not be kicked accidentally by any passerby students. She was quite attached to the mug, it was her favorite.

She sighed and let her head droop, a curtain of hair falling in front of her face. She willed the torture session to begin so she could be done with it more quickly. School was her worst enemy, constantly preventing her from that which she loved more than anything -- slothfulness.

"Yes, Miss Montoya," he responded. "I hope I am not disturbing your class," he jested, smiling with a twinkle in his eye. The Headmaster had not offered to rescue Atolie, and instead willed her to her seat with his eyes. Once she was seated, he smiled, waved to the students, said "Farewell," and exited the classroom. Once outside, he began to head off to his next destination, whistling.

A male student made the water flow out of a flower vase of a nearby book shelf, and played with it in the air. Then he made it go back in the vase, much to the amusement of his classmates but not his teacher who was sitting at his chair with his feet propped up on his desk.

"Right...That's Intermediate stuff..." Jake stated while massaging his forehead. In the blink of an eye he slammed his hands on his desk and was now on his feet. It made everyone in the Water element class jump at the sudden noise. "Alright jock." The student Jake was referring to was the male student who had showed his...skill to his teacher. This...'Jock' was well built and good looking. Jake guessed, and got right, that the young man was the quarterback of his highschool football team. Stereotype. "Enough horsin' around. This pop-quiz is to show me something at a Beginner level, or an Expert level, and so far you are failing BADLY."

"Look...I can't remember anything from a Beginner level. And for me to do something at an Expert level I'd have to be ou-outside." The QB said stuttering on the last word.

"And who passed you on your Expert exam?" Jake demanded then continued without waiting for an answer. "I bet it was a chick. A guy like you would seduce a woman to his goddamn will."

"What the fu-" The student started to say as he rose out of his desk. But Jake cut him off.

"An Expert level is when you can be stuck in the driest environment possible, and still be able to harness the air, the earth, and the heat, to create a drop of liquid in which you can manipulate it to your will and survive!" Jake "Defi" Prior snapped.

His outburst made everyone in the classroom silent. No one understood what he was saying. Controlling the other elements to create water? How? Was that even possible? Were their thoughts. Though only one voiced her opinion.

A young girl with thick spectacles, and stuck by a group of people who were like her. Another stereotype, yes. But one that Jake liked. "How would we be able to do something like that, sir? And is it even possible?"

Jake looked to her then to the class and walked around his desk only to sit at the edge of the desk, front and center. Crossing his arms he seemed to think on the question when he already knew his answer. "It's possible...but only through practice, and experiments." Then he stood up once more. "Listen...I know some of you don't like me. But for all of you to have reached this level you have to be prepared for what's out there." Moving his gaze across his class he let that sink in before continuing. "It's not just duels against other elements to settle arguments and such. It's also about saving lives..." A pause...hesitation. "And taking them." Jake paced across the classroom but stayed in front of his students. "Personally the mental test you all take to become Expert levels is bullshit. You have to know that one day you're going to have to wield the saliva in a person's throat and cut off their air supply with it." Someone gasped at this. Prior gave a quick nod without looking at his students confirming their thoughts that he could do such a thing. "Or calling in a Tsunami. Or forcing all the liquids from a person's body and dehydrating them to death." Stopping to let it sink in once more he looked to the class. "I know it's a bit late to say...but for those of you considering at staying at an Intermediate level...don't just considerate, do it. Because if you don't have the stomach to cause harm to an intended person than Expert isn't for you."

With that the class fell totally silent. They were all thinking. Was their teacher a maniac? Or did he really care? Jake Prior waited a minute before speaking again. "You have a week, to decide."

((I create an amazing post, and then E goes ahead and pulls out the core of my entire post. So now I have to rewrite it. Expect a dip in quality.))

The school was looking better. More and more students were coming. The faculty was increasing in size as the time passed. Students were there and willing to learn. It almost brought a tear to his eye. If he could still produce tears, that is.

He walked towards the next class, seeing multiple new students, including a group of students who were mistreating another student, shoving the poor child into a trash can. He walked over, idly setting his book down on a locker as he idly tapped the students in the group on the shoulder, making them all turn to face him.

"Excuse me, but I do believe that that is against the rules, children."

"Whatever! I don't care what you or those other teachers have to say!"

Aliminius laughed at this and then slowly placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, patting it lightly.

"That was a mistake."

H
e then gripped the boy's shoulder in an iron grip. But instead of crying out or stopping, the kid swung at him. He blocked a punch to his stomach, a punch to his neck, and a punch to his chest, seeing the kid punch for his face. He simply held still, knowing the child couldn't see his face under the hood of his cloak. The kid's fist hit metal and several knuckles broke as the kid screamed out and pulled back, grasping his hand.

Aliminius slowly turned so that the light would reflect off of his mask, speaking softly.

"You should know who you're going up against before you start fights, son. Now leave the boy alone."

I
nstead, they had the nerve to attack him! What foolishness.

He moved like a blur, incapacitating the children without actually hitting them or hurting them. The only student who was still standing moved quickly for his book, intending to grasp it. Aliminius reached out, crying out to keep the boy from grabbing it. But the child didn't listen, grabbing the cover.

The book immediately glowed red at the heat being given off, the boy's hands melting to it as he began to scream. Aliminius came over quickly, placing his hand on the book's cover and saying a word very quietly, the book becoming ice cold. He then gave it two minutes until ice had formed on the cover and on the boy's hands, removing the boy's hands and then helping out the student from the trash can, telling him to help the injured boy to the nurse.

He then looked at the book, which still had burnt skin melded to it. He cleaned it quickly and then walked to his classroom, realizing that this had made him late. He walked in slowly, sitting down behind his desk and speaking softly.

"Good morning, class. Today we are going to learn about the power of words. Does anybody have any questions before I begin?"

The Headmaster went into his office, sat down, and shuffled through papers. However, something caught his eye. As he examined the paper, his eyes widened as he realized his mistake.

"I assigned two teachers to Expert Water???" he exclaimed in shock, horrified and ashamed by his mistake. Immediately he stood up and rushed out the door, heading for 3D.

Once he arrived, he opened the door calmly, though his emotions were of the opposite. He waited for the man to finish speaking, then walked up to Mr. Prior and began to whisper in his ear.

"Excuse me, but could I speak with you outside? I deeply apologize for the interruption,"
he asked, deeply sorry. Once the teacher has followed him outside the classroom, he closed the door and began to speak.

"I have a little...problem concerning the water classes, and it due to my own negligence. I have accidentally scheduled two teachers to teach the Expert Water class, you and Ms. Montoya downstairs in 2C. I apologize for this, but you talk with her and change your classes? One of you should have Beginner, and the other should have Intermediate and Expert. I will supervise your class in the meantime," he explained. The teachers would have to meet immediately, and he could substitute for him while he went down to Ms. Montoya's room. He awaited a conformation from Mr. Prior.
