Drake looked at the picture for a time. "She looks a lot like my mother. Or at least the pictures of her we have at home." He handed the wallet back. "You didn't make me remember anything unpleasant. It just never goes away."

Miyoko smiled, "... I'm.... I'm glad..." She looked at the picture one more time, rubbing her figures gently agross her mother's grinning face and closed it, putting it back into her pocket. "...could we..... could we continue our lesson...?"

"...blocking with the katana..." Miyoko held out the katana Drake had given her, then standing in a fighting stance.

Drake nodded. "Ok, just move the katana in the way of my strike and brace your body." Drake swung at her from the side, slowly.

Miyoko lifted the sword to her side, blocking the way of Drakes blade. "....is...is that right...?"

"Perfect, just make sure to brace your body for the blow." Drake used an overhead swing, slightly faster this time.

"...eep...!" Miyoko lifted the katana quickly above her head, bracing herself for the blow, as Drake had said.

Drake nodded. "Good. Very good." Drake stopped for a second as he remembered something.
It was at his house, his mother was talking to him about things that had no importance. He looked at her face.
Drake came to and shook his head. "Sorry about that, was in a world of my own."
Drake thought to himself. Weird. My mother looks almost identical to Miyoko's... we couldn't be related, could we?

((Whoops, Miyoko has reddish hair.... I'll edit the picture thingy of the mom...))
Miyoko smiled, "....I never thought I would be here.... learning how to fight with a katana..." She ran a hand through her reddish dark brown hair, "...that's alright... I randomly think about things sometimes...." She looked down, "...so what's next...?"

He looked at her. "What was your mother's name?" Drake was holding himself high. I could be in for the shock of my life.

Drake took a deep breath. "My mother's name... was...." Drake looked Miyoko in the eyes. "Machi."

Miyoko's eyes widened, "..what...what was her last name...? Was it... was it Okayashi...?!" She asked, extremely confused now.

Drake swallowed hard. "I... I think so. I remember her calling her self that on a few occasions." He sheathed his blade and looked Miyoko in the eyes. "We may be closer than we thought. Sister." Now there was a phrase that was going to take some getting used to.
