I'm never in the mood for s--t online. There was this super snob who was in the chatterbox a billion months ago, ugh. I'm glad you weren't in the mood though. Well, let us forget about it.. TRY to forget.
Well, I think it might take a while since this is the first day of school, and it was boring as well. Nearly fell asleep in Social Studies... ^ -^;

Tatterhood may be a fun character to play for you.
You should read her story, I'll look for some other ones to try and assist, but it really is a nice tale. :] It should be in the list provided in the front page.

Tatterhood.. sounds fun. I'll look at the story as soon as possible, no time though.
I'm filling out a bunch of forms for school, they gave us all an envelope filled with them.

Ooh, I can imagine how horrible a Psych class has to be with oral reports. Oral reports suck.
And my classes start tomorrow, and I'm going to be doing a bit of community theater next month while looking for a job, so my activity level is going to drop here pretty soon (especially if Comcast decides to continue to be a little douchebag and conk out every five minutes).

Well, looks like the lot of you are having fun. Can I play too? I brought a ball.
Er, but seriously. I have a question, because there is something that is unclear to me. When you speak of powers and fairytale appearances, I find myself becoming lost. Perhaps because it is quite late at night my mental faculties are failing, but I don't think I "Get It" (tm). Do they appear as their fairytale self through illusion, or make up? When they appear as their fairytale self, do they actually have magical powers associated with their character, or is it smoke and mirrors? I understand that they have no powers when they appear as a normal person. Shed some light on this for me?
I played Gaston in a play way back when in the 8th grade (that's about a decade ago, folks). I've always had a soft spot for him ever since, so i'm considering claiming him. I noticed there is a Belle, as well, which would be an interesting dynamic. However, i'm quite undecided, and would like to take a look around at the various options available to me. I would definitely prefer to play a villain, simply because I enjoy playing antagonists on occasion. I think I shall refrain from doing a gender bender, since I always feel that i'll make a mockery out of all the women I know if I try.
...
My mother lives in Canada, and I live in the states. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Well.. hello there.
From what I know, all characters are not 'magical', it's just make up and costumes and 'all that jazz'. So.. basically, the school is humans and only humans. Yea.

From what I got though, once they actually*make-up* themselves into being the character, they do gain some level of *Magic*... I'm not one hundred percent sure about that, but I do believe that to be the correct way of thinking... which is why my character, Jacen Solo, who uses the Force is so interesting, and why Ryn wants to find a way to use the power of Jacen, when still himself.

Man, now I remember why I loathe school. I always get so damned tired right after because of how early I wake up (and how late I sleep). Guess I've got to sleep at like nine or ten tonight to try to get my sleep pattern a bit more normal and slowly retract an hour every night. Ch'yeah. Man, I loathe school.
... But I've got classes with friends so EVERYTHING IS SUPAH FUN! xD <3 I'm kind of happy, plus there is some ninth grade eye candy in my last period class. [/devilishlaugh] One of the kids in my last period looks like Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible.
----
Fenrir Hoo boy, I'm tireder than a one legged man in a dancing tournament. =___= [/myattemptatmakingsomesortofasomething] [Man I can't think of the word] [Damn school]
:] Let's see what was the question.
Okay, the "magic" itself is one part illusion/one part "magic" per say. As this whole roleplay is borderline fantasy the students do develop slight "magical" abilities via their fairytale self. Say that their character has the ability to fade in and out (much like the Cheshire Cat) for the first few years of their learning career they will have to resort to using smoke and mirrors, but as they further and practice eventually some students fairytales ability will somehow become second nature for the person.
:/ Does that make sense? x___o I'll explain in a different way if you need me too.

I think I get it. Let me reiterate, in my own words, to see if I understand; When a character first picks up the persona, they can make the powers happen through use of purely mundane (Non magical) illusions. However, after they have remained in the persona, they begin to develop magical powers, without any particular training or study. These magical powers are slight, but existent. So, for instance, if someone was, let's say, Maleficent, they probably wouldn't ever be able to turn into a dragon. Meanwhile, we have the witch from Hansel and Gretel. She could probably develop an uncanny knack for baking gingerbread strong enough to build a house out of, yes?
And assuming I understand that correctly, I have, yes, another question! What is the point of the students being taught these roles? What happens when they graduate? Do they dissolve into the collective unconscious or some such, or do they travel about like actors and perform shows? Or, do they visit sleeping children in their dreams? Or... Well... You know, what do they DO?

How I Normally Look
Windsor's a pretty average guy, build wise. He stands at an average five feet, eight inches, and has rather messy, light brown hair. Bangs long enough to touch his eyes, (if it weren't for the fact that they were parted to the side) and hair strands that seem to stick out randomly due to their stubbornness to obey the hairbrush. One of the more noticeable features on him include Wind's bright green eyes, which would be all the more brighter if it weren't for the tired expression he seemed to wear on him at almost all times.
Being who he is, and doing things they way he does, Windsor's pretty pale when compared to others, just because he doesn't go outside as often as others. Also because of the outdoors thing, he's lanky, not really working out to build muscle, and only just enough to get by during his old physical education classes.
..."Getting by," of course meaning he could totally get physical fitness status with girl standards...
...At any rate, when it comes to his casual clothing wear, Wind is pretty... ...Well, casual. His daily attire consists of a thin, long sleeve shirt, with a t-shirt on top of it, and jeans. Depending on the weather and temperature, when the days were more breezy and cold, he likes to wear a scarf around his neck, as well as fingerless gloves, both made out of yarn. As for accessories, he's big on watches. Really big on watches, most days wearing at least two on one wrist, and of course his pocket watch, which always, always, always hangs by his side on a chain.
...Always.
His pocket watch isn't really anything too special, but it was a gift, and it makes him feel cool. The watch is silver itself, and has a cover which one could quickly pop open to check the clock inside. As for decorations, there's a matching chain hanging on it, and an etching on the front, a simple circle line design that marked the borders, and in the middle was a shape that looked to be the silhouette of a bunny head... Fairytale Appearance
...Heck no was Wind going to go all out rabbit in his fairytale appearance. Because honestly, the only way he could think of that working would be him wearing one of those animal suits you see people wearing at amusement parks and Chuck E. Cheeses'. And those looked way uncomfortable and super hot to wear, and people who wore those were subject to getting punched, and kicked in the shins.
Windsor didn't want to be uncomfortably hot, or physically abused, so he took a different approach to this.
Knowing his hair was on the wrong side of the color spectrum as he was playing the White Rabbit, he decided lighten the color up a bit, by giving them white highlights, not wanting to completely bleach his hair. Because really, he liked his hair color, and he was willing to compromise.
As for his outfit, he wears a white dress shirt, neatly buttoned up, and occasionally throwing in a tie to boot. On top of his dress shirt, he wears an orange tail coat, unbuttoned. Also depending on how he felt about it, sometimes he'd wear fingerless white gloves, to piece together the whole white thing. As for handheld items, he has an umbrella with white and orange stripes.
And, hey, just because the rabbit went pantsless, doesn't mean Windsor wanted to. He wears khaki colored cargo pants, with a white stripe around his left leg's knee, and a matching orange to his tailcoat on his right leg's knee.
Also, watches. Pushing up the sleeves of his coat and shirt, he wears even more watches than regular. Analog watches, digital watches, simple watches, complex watches, (you know, those ones that can tell you the time, the date, has an alarm in it, a compass, can tell you the times of other regions, is a phone, a unicorn, and has a cure for cancer?) watches for different time zones... tons of watches. Of course, he also has his precious pocket watch still hanging by his side.
As for his face, he doesn't really do much for it, except paint on a few lines on his cheeks to look like whiskers. Though...
...Because it was a gift from someone he cared about, he also wears a hairpin that pins back a side his bangs, and has a big shape that can easily be told is a bunny head, despite the lack of actual detail on it.
Wind figured he needed something bunny-like on his head, and a headband with bunny ears was still debatable. (Aka, never as long as he lived.)

How I am
Workaholic. Completely and totally, to all who knew him, Windsor was Windsor the Workaholic.
What breaks? What sleeping? Huh, recess? What's that?
Even when he was a kid in gradeschool, Wind worked super hard at everything in his schoolwork. He'd be the one that researched the most, the one that had to get everything perfect down to every last detail, the one that stayed up working way late, just to fix in that one last, extra point that he didn't even need.
Which... was always why he worked alone. When it came to group projects, teachers made an exception for him, just because the other students were intimidated by his... workaholic, and neat freakiness ways. (And actually, they were too slightly...)
Not that he's bossy or imposing or anything. Actually, Windsor's pretty quiet, and he's a bit of a loner. Because of how he always occupies himself with working and whatnot, he doesn't find too much time for friends or a social life, which in turn, leads to few friends. And... that in turn leads to him having no idea really how to talk to strangers. He's shy, fumbles his words, (at least when it isn't a practiced oral speech he's recited a couple hundred times, because he definitely needs to get those down right...) and is just incredibly socially awkward in general.
And, maybe you wouldn't think it because of what a workaholic and neat freak he is, but it's ironic in a way that those are what cause his slight... ...scatterbrained-ness.
Because he's constantly staying up late, working, working, working, Wind's a very tired person, and when people are tired, their thinking isn't nearly quite as clear or sharp as it should be. He forgets things, oversleeps... and these irk him really badly. He tries his best to cope, finding ways to remedy this, leaving post-it notes as reminders everywhere, writing reminders on his hands and arms, and of course, wearing lots of watches.
Of course, it doesn't need to be said that he's a smart kid. Anyone that works as hard and studies as hard as him would be smart too.
All in all, Windsor needs to work less and play more. How I came to be
Leading an average life before fourteen, Windsor had a mom, a dad, and a little sister by two years.
When he was young, he learned how to read, quick. And once he learned how, he didn't stop, and was practically eating words on a daily basis, so his parents hoped that it meant he'd be a rather studious kid, you know, the ones that all the parents seemed to want?
Of course, they never would've guessed he'd be as much a hard worker as they hoped, and Wind definitely surpassed their expectations, and went way past. Scarily so.
They'd found that their son was constantly staying up late to do school work, and he'd also constantly oversleep, and be rather forgetful... So to give him a tap on the shoulder, a reminder to help him out, they got him the pocketwatch, hoping it'd help with his tardiness.
And it did. Sort of. Of course, he was still tardy at times, and even forgot that the watch was there in all his working and hurrying, so Wind's parents got him more watches. And really, before he knew it, he had a watch collection. Not that he minded, in fact, quite the opposite, he thought it was awesome. Even though he definitely doesn't need to get more watches, he does, just to add more to his collection.
When it came to relationships, Windsor didn't really have any. He had his family, and had a pretty good relationship with his mom and dad, he listened to them, worked hard, and had a better parent-kid relationship than most kids his age.
Of course, the one relationship that mattered to him most was his sister's and his. Their sibling relationship was as much a social life as he got. From him to her, Windsor had the usual big brother attitude, and despite his quiet shyness, he is protective of her. Also, because he just has to do everything right, this too, he is way over protective of her. In usual big brother fashion, of course.
In return, his little sister made sure he didn't work himself to death.
When Wind was working way late, and probably hadn't slept in a few days? She'd come marching into his room and drag him to his bed, and give him some lecture about how he'd get sick if he didn't get any sleep soon.
When it was vacation time, and he hadn't left the house since school let out? She'd drag him outside, and expose him to the sun, despite any comments about how it felt like he was melting.
When he hadn't had any fun in forever? She'd drag him to the living room and make him play a videogame with her.
And any protests that Windsor had?
They were ignored.
So imagine his dismay when his parents told them that he was being sent away to this academy thing that he had no idea about.
Windsor had to live away from his parents, and especially his sister?
What?
So of course, it was a rather tearful parting when he had to leave, and his sister had given him something of hers, saying that she was going to want it back, so he'd better come back and return it.
And unknowing of what was not allowed in the school, he agreed.
...
When Wind was finished with his first week of school, and it was made clear that visiting his family wasn't allowed, and he'd never see them again, to say the least, he was pretty heartbroken. He's tried to cope, with the letters that were sent back and forth, but it definitely killed him that he wasn't ever going to be seeing them again.
So now? Windsor just did his best during school, kept with his workaholic and neat freak ways, yet at the same time retained some scatterbrained-ness, and kept three things precious to him. The letters, his pocketwatch, and the hairpin his sister lended him.
s o m e o t h e r i n f o r m a t i o n
There's something else you ought to know
Don't mess with Wind's pocketwatch, or the hairpin. Or you'll have a seriously pissed off rabbit on your hands. .::Crazy Knife Bap::.My hair color is dark brown, and it goes a bit past my chin.
