Anna smiled at her coming over. "Everything is delicious." she said.
The food disappeared, only to be replaced by the sweets of desserts. Yes, something she did not have to be careful about! She looked around quickly before helping herself to some pudding.

Suki's eyes sparkled at the sweets lining the table. "Scoot your boot, Anna!" Suki wedged herself between Anna and another Hufflepuff, grabbing herself a spoon and eating some of Anna's pudding. "Omigod...This is soo good!" she giggled, smiling brightly at Anna.

Anna looked like she was trying not to laugh at the sight of Suki's bliss.
"Swallow your food first." she chastised lightly before reaching across the table to slice a little piece of cake.

She laughed lightly at Anna's chastising, "You sound like my maman...I want to eat my every meals with you, you're so fun! My table is kind of..." she motioned Anna to lean in closer and whispered, "boring. Like, all they talked about was that Potter kid.."

"Shady past. Seems all too common these days. I suppose its those dark times in our past that help us become who we are today, either by giving in to their dark temptations or rising above them. Everything I've seen says that you're doing a wonderful job of rising above it." He reached over and gave her a hug. "Don't let your past get to you. This is Hogwarts, a world within itself. Out there only matters as much as you let it."

"Thanks." She gave him a small smile and tossed the note into the fire. Wonder how Nikol's doing... She sighed hoping her sister wasn't lonely.
Nikol was laying on a couch in the Slytherin common room. No one had showed up yet and she was glad of that. Once everyone started to file in she'd go back and hide up in her dorm. There was no way she would deal with the Malfoy's kid or anyone else of that sort.

He stretched, yawning loudly. "Sorry," he said, grinning sheepishly. "Guess I'm a bit more tired than I thought. Rough summer and all that." He looked at his pet, who was now licking any remaining flavor off of the clean bone. "Keep her company, she's new," he smiled. In response, the wolf rested his head on her lap. "Good night, Rose," he said peacefully. "And hey, don't let Malfoy worry you. If your parents raise too big of a fuss, you can always count on me for back up."

"Thanks Alex." She gave him a small smile. "But it doesn't seem to be bugging Nikol that much... If it did she'd use a different spell on the note." Rose was glad her sister showed her a few of the spells she made up. It made her happier that they made up a few in situations like this.
She leaned back in the overstuffed chair happy no one else had come up yet. Rose started to pet Marlic. "Night." She gace him a small wave before he left.

Nikol's note still heavy on his mind, he pulled out his wand. "Scribere desu," he whispered. It was a note spell of his own creation, and one of the most handy spells he had ever devised. A magical piece of paper appeared in front of him, and he used his wand to scribble a note onto it:

Your sister will be safe with me. Don't worry about the Malfoy kid. He'll be obnoxious, I'm sure, but he'll probably be all talk like his dad. Something about him at the Sorting just didn't set well with me...
Anywho, just dropping the note to say we (Malric and I) have our eye on Rose for you, and if Malfoy does spread the news about her, you have our full support.
Glad to have the two of you as friends this year! Me and you should totally hang out sometime by the lake.

He folded the paper and tapped it once with his wand. If the spell worked as well as it was suppoed to, she would get the note in her hand or pocket, wherever she'd notice it first. He hadn't tried common room to common room before, so he hoped Hogwarts wouldn't stop him, but it seemed unlikely. He hoped she'd respond; that was, after all, why he wrote the spell down for her.

Rose yawned. She was getting sleepy pretty early. Looking down and Malric she frowned. "Hmm... If you want I can sneak you into the girls dorm... Or you can go up to Alex. Eithers fine with me. IF you choose to come up to me though, I'll leave the door open for you." She scratched the wolf behind the ears and climbed the stairs. Getting in her dorm, she was the first and slipped out of her robes into a nightgown. It wasn't long before she fell asleep with the door open.
Nikol rubbed her arms. "Almost forgot how cold it got down here sometimes." She laughed noting she was the only inside the common room. "Must all be eating still." Shrugging she stuffed her hands into her pockets and headed for her dorm. As she did so she felt a piece of paper in there. Something she didn't have before. "Odd..." Pulling it out she read it as she headed to her dorm. Nikol grinned as she read the last part. "Looks like we have someone to count on Rose..."
When she got in the room she changed into muggle sweat pants and a sweater. She wanted to keep warm. Tieing back her hair, she grabbed her wand she wasn't sure where her flowers were. "Accio flowers." The flowers came whizzing over to her. A small smile appeared on her face. Taking a few petals off a white rose, she tried to remember how the spell went. "Oh right note first." She giggled and wrote on a piece of parchment. She quickly scribbled down the following:

Thanks a million. You don't know how much that means to me.
It's nice to have a friend this year, and I'd love to.

P.S if that's the spell pretty clever but I like my style better.
She grinned and rolled it up. Walking out into the common room and into the hall, she walked until she got to a window. Opening it, she held out her palm with four petals and the note. Tapping it with her wand she hoped it would work. "Rosa Scribara." She whispered. A huge smile took place on her face as a small transparent butterfly fluttered out the window.
It wasn't long before it found it's way into Gryffindors common room. Fluttering about it appeared by Alex and froze. The transparent thing turned into a cascade of smaller rose petals and in their mist was the note.

Suki watched as the first years in Ravenclaw began gathering for their trip up to the Common Room. "Hey Anna, great having dessert with you! Hope we're in the same classes together!!!" Suki hugged her tight and bounced her way to the Ravenclaw gathering.
The group made their way up the staircases. (I have no idea where the ravenclaw common room is or what it looks like xD Ah, ok...) They head towards a tower in the east and through a (...ok....lol) and stood in the common room, listening to the Prefects information about passwords and dormitory rules. Then everybody dispersed, heading upstairs or sitting in the common room, chatting amongst themselves.
Suki headed up the steps to find her dormitory. She bounced onto her bed once finding her space, Jasper falling from his place above and landing on her lap. "Jasper!!! Oh, I've missed you!!" She hugged her cat tightly before changing into her pjs and snuggling into the warm of the covers and ignoring the squeals of her fellow room mates.

((Picky of me, I know, but quick correction: The Ravenclaw common room is the east tower, close to the astronomy tower if I'm not mistaken. It is a portrait, but instead of a password, the picture asks a question of the student, to test knowledge. Most of the time it's a thinking question, Like: "Which came first, The chicken, or the egg?" and the answer was "A cycle has to beginning." I guess a riddle would work too. Anyway yeah...))
Anna stiffened at the sudden hug. She still needed to get used to that.
"Yeah, same here." she agreed uncertainly. She certainly had never met anyone as enthusiastic as Suki. But as the prefects started calling all students, she rose and followed her group the dormitories in the basement, near the kitchens, getting ready for a good night's sleep.

(Yep. Let's all go to the first morning, shall we?)
The next morning, Anna awoke to her feline companion Fuwa purring and nuzzling against her.
"I was wondering where you were last night." she muttered sleepily. She sat up, noticing that the other girls were either changing or had already left. Anna felt slightly embarrassed for over sleeping. She jumped out of her bed, made it neatly, then quickly started changing back into her robes. Today was the first day of Magical classes...

He smiled when he read her note. Quickly, he penned a response, this one directed to her pillow:
Never been much of one for pizzaz and flash, but you've got quite the spell making knack yourself.
How about we meet tomorrow by the lakeside in the evening?
