Lord's face immediately twisted into a grim snarl. This fiend, responsible for the death of that platoon... He shall pay.
"So then, I doubt you're going to let us walk out of here then." Lord questioned, cockily. He knew that he was at horribly bad odds here. Him, Nail, wherever the rest of group happened to be, against a Necromancer and one hell of a lot of zombies. Something told him he was stuffed, but his heroic nature made him try and stay calm.
"Still, can't help but try and have some fun, eh?" Lord chuckled, as the charged up his psynergy. The undead closed in. They would be close enough in 4... 3... 2...
"EARTHQUAKE!!" Lord screamed, and sent the dead back into their graves, flying through the air.
"If you'll excuse us, we have a world to save!" Lord laughed, as he ran past the now stunned necromancer, who's minions had suddenly ran out.
"To the cave!" Lord declared, beckoning to Nali. Well, they had to have SOME chance, right?

Nali followed Lord into the cave
Dew had to grab Shade to keep him from staying behind
Shade was trying to get out of Dew's grip but couldn't so he just sat there sulking

((ok, calm down. did you not remember the post i made when school started? just because you are on all the time, doesn't meen you can expect everybody else to be on when you are. people have other lives you know.))
Vaek remained unconscious on the stone tablet created by Geode and Ptera.
"I hope he's ok."
"Vaek will be fine. He's strong."
"I hope you're right Geode."
"Trust me Ptera. Vaek won't let something like this dumb curse keep him down."
"I'm not so worried about the curse. I'm worried about Saturos and Menardi. Vaek is completely vulnerable to attack. If they do strike, he's dead."
"Then we'll just have to keep that from happening."

Shade over heard Ptera an Geode talking "you aren't the only ones who will be protecting him" he said
Dew was tired of Shade trying to get all of the attention, but she kept her mouth shut

The two djinn both nodded, and Geode noticed Dew's restlessness. He telepathically spoke with Dew, keeping a blockade so Shade couldn't intrude.
"Is something wrong Dew?"

Just then, the seal on Vaek's hand began to glow, and his entire body began to glow a black light. Vaek began to feel intense amounts of pain surging through his body, indicating that he was dieing.
"NO VAEK!"
"s**t. The curse is taking its effect!"

((Sorry about that. It's just... Me only keeping this thing alive. BIIITT annoying.))
"Bugger!" Lord exclaimed. This was starting to get desperate. It was turning into a steadily worse situation by the... ohh, 12th second. He had to get through this cave, and to the lighthouse. Only then did anyone stand a chance.

"Bugger..." Lord muttered, after viewing the overly happy Nali run towards the exit of the cave. Honestly, how can ANYONE manage to be jolly after several attempts on their life, and the knowledge that they have a necromancer, and a large army of undead behind them? Ah, what the heck.
"Not if I get there first!" Lord laughed, and raced after Nali. If you can't enjoy something...

Nali kept running, hoping that she could beat Lord out
"something tells me that she is going psycho" Shade said to Dew
"this is probably the first time you are ever right" Dew replied

"Bwahah!" Lord laughed as he carved a hole in a wall using his earthen powers. Quake was so handy... He ran through, still laughing. Unfortunately, his laughter probably wouldn't last long. He ran through. The exit was in sight. Good. No signs of passage through the tunnel. Perfect. Lord leapt out of his hole, and rolled deftly onto his feet. He began running to the exit. 20 meters. 15. 10. 5. Lord suddenly stopped himself, and with near perfect timing. A large hole opened up where he was about to run over. Looked like using quake wasn't such a great plan after all.
"Growth!" Lord commanded once more. A patch of vines hastily grew over the hole. Please hold... Lord walked over them slowly, them bending under his relatively low weight. On arriving at the other side, he noticed something odd. Another hole. And another. And one more. But the weren't fresh. They had been done at least two days ago. On closer inspection, there was an inscripted rock nearby. Graves, dug up and used by that necromancer. The fiend. He would, eventually, make that son of a... Footsteps? he remembered the race suddenly. He jumped to his feet, and ran outside, laughing. Goodbye, tension. Hello, victory, and... a frozen wasteland. Bugger.
