Training: 10/10
This time around, Elruda began by pretending to start with punching the dummy, but instead feiting and using her left hand to restrain the neck area. And then with her right hand, she struck two fingers brutally onto the area where the central chakra pool would be. A smirk crossed her face. That's it! If this requires the opponent to drop his/her guard, she'll have to immobilize them first. As far as Elruda was concerned, she was finished with this technique. And she have an idea which Hakke Jutsu to fulfill that need, after she learns it, to accompany this technique.

"Its good to see that you got it. Now I will show you the second stage of the technique." Wrath said as he moved toward the wooden dummy and began readjusting its base. He adjusted the dummy so it appeared to be bent over like it was vomiting. Wrath then slammed his knee into the forehead of the dummy. "That was the Fujiko's adauchi no jutsu. If you do it right then it will knock your opponent unconscious for about twelve seconds. Now try it." Wrath ordered again.

"After you learn this jutsu I want you to then run twenty laps around the temple, meditate, and then go into the library and read up on tactics and anatomy. I'll be back later this evening. But right now I need to go take care of something." Wrath said sternly before he walked off.

Training: 1/10
Elruda watched intently, eyes bright while intently observing the taijutsu combination. She had never seen supplementary techniques before and only heard of them from readings so this was quite new for her. Many ancient clans, Hyuugas for example, their taijutsu did not really work in combinations - a single technique was enough to create the desired effect and damage, all in a single move. But then, the chakra cost was high, as well as their doujutsu having to be maintained throughout the match. In other words, if a fight is not finished quickly, a Hyuuga would have trouble chakra-wise later on.

Training: 2/10
Elruda took up a probable stance (after initially striking the opponent), and within the next moment swung her right knee up to connect with the dummy's forehead. Bam. The wooden dummy leaned back from the impact. She'll have to work on putting more force, but that's alright. As Wrath gave his next orders, the Hyuuga heiress nodded, taking note of the other assignments he would want to be completed while he was away, after she finishes with this technique.

Elruda was slightly troubled that...well, the stance after striking the opponent left some vital points open or totally left unguarded. It would take another split second to regain a normal stance, but that split second can cost alot in combat. While it's that in actual combat the opponent should be knocked unconscious for a couple of turns with this technique...however, it was always best to be aware, for example, if having accidentally hit a clone instead of the original shinobi. Even with her eyes, her Byakugan was not very strong yet...thus leaving much room for mistakes.

But then, wasn't that why Wrath had wanted her to read up on tactics later...? The Hyuuga heiress mused as she swung her knee at the dummy's forehead. Elruda was a bit confused although happy that her teacher entrusted her to complete everything.
Wrath gave her...a whole pile of assignments. It was as if he was preparing her for the worst or something of that sort... How quaint. She grimaced when she suddenly realized why the situation seemed so familiar. A martinet. That's right, a slavedriver.
She saw those Hyuuga elders back in Konoha literally drilling the younger clansmembers in Juuken...for important examinations, like the Chuunin Exams and...wait a minute...was that what Wrath was preparing her for...?

Thirty minutes later, Elruda was still busy with practicing her newest technique. She was beginning to have a better hang of the movements, and could apply more force while still keeping a fairly good balance. In her head though, she was trying to formulate ways in which she could smooth out the movements more, so that she could cut down on the slight hesitation after performing the Fujiko's Adauchi no Jutsu.

Her plain refusal to take a break was beginning to have a toll on her movements, but Elruda didn't care. Wrath gave expectations for her, and she wanted to make sure that she fulfills those expectations. Besides...she can't afford to become laid back. Pearly white eyes narrowed, and Konoha's image came into mind. She has a home to get back. A rare expression came across her features - absolute rage, as her knee struck the dummy's forehead, pretending it was the Fifth Dawn infidels whom released the Go-ryuu Masters...no, even the Fire Master himself.

The mere thought of Konoha seemed to give the young Hyuuga renewed vigor, and Elruda began attacking the dummy furiously. No, it would never be good enough! No matter what she do... She must always stride for higher goals...or else Konoha would be forever lost to her. Her mother...the head of Hyuuga after her father's mysterious disappearance, had always told her to grow strong... When she was suddenly made heiress after her brother's death, why didn't she listen...? The answer was simple. She didn't want to give up her freedoms as second-born. Once she envied her brother...but...but then...

With a small smile, the Hyuuga heiress held out her right palm before her, and imagined she was one of the great Hyuuga ancestors... She imagined using the Kaiten...imagined the Rokujuuyonshou... And imagined that the Hakke tecniques really were divinated from the stars. Like Hyuuga Neji, or that famous clan head, Hyuuga Hinata. Can she someday be like them...? Both found something precious...something worthy to protect, and changed the Hyuugas. No longer was it conceit for their nobility status...but more of...of a willingness to defend Konoha for their previous ones.
Maybe that's what it meant to grow strong. Elruda mused as she swung her knee again and again into the wooden dummy's forehead. Light as a feather, swift as the wind, but more brutal than imaginable... The Hyuugas didn't honor birds, they themselves were like birds. Songbirds or birds of prey. Able to someday take flight. But whether they were chained or freed depended on themselves. The elders were wrong... The clan's rules were meant to guide but not meant as chains...

Training: 9/10
Just as her own contribution, Elruda began closing quickly in on the dummy in swift, almost dance-like movements... What she had learned of Juuken so far, that was what her stance was. An experienced shinobi could tell that the stance was lacking, but it was still beautiful in its own way. Elruda pretended striking the dummy in the central chakra pool in the stomach with her right hand, before bringing up her right knee swiftly, colliding it with the dummy's head.

The wooden dummy, even in it's second position, leaned back from the impact of the collision. The young Hyuuga smiled to herself. She...she has done it and finished this lesson. Well, she'll just have one more go as review before working on the laps. With that thought in mind, Elruda took up her stance against the dummy, before charging forward. This time, she skipped imitating the previous move, and dug her left foot into the ground, twisting it a bit outwards, before swinging up her right knee with the brief extra provided force and speed. A satisfactory crash answered her.

Laps: 1/20
Cp: 33/36
Having finished with her previous assignment, Elruda figured it was a good time to start on her laps. But, she wanted to take a look around first, so she would be certain that she had run around the whole temple, and not accidentally having strayed into some shortcut. The Hyuuga heiress began the long pattern of handseals, muttered 'Byakugan' under her breath, before veins once more extended lateral from her eyes. The walls of the temple fell transparent and if she pushed her Byakugan, Elruda knew she could extend the distance of her vision even further.
Once having finished with her scouting, Elruda allowed her Byakugan to fade, the veins around her eyes smoothing out. She bended her right knee, taking off quickly into her first lap, but not too speedily that she'll be out of breath halfway through the lap.

Laps: 2/20
Cp: 34/36
Her first lap went fairly well, and Elruda assumed that her training before all those missions seems to be paying off. Her endurance...it would appeared to have drawn out longer than when she first arrived in Ame. Wiping a bit of sweat from her brow, the Hyuuga heiress took off, ready to begin her second lap. She ignored the rapidly darkening sky and lengthening shadows, concentrating only on her assignment. After all, that was the only thing that matters right now...
