Yea I agree with you. But some people use certain elements deffinsively. I can htink of a few ways to use fire deffensively. And thats the most aggressive element, if you ask me, that as an RPer that I use. I stick to the four basic: water, earth, fire and air/wind/whateverothernamesyoucallit. Yes, I know my spelling is shitty but I had to ******** close drive through, like I do everynight this week because SOME MOTHER ******** decided not to show up and got his a** fired. So, anyway, my deffinsive element is water and wind and my offensive element is earth and fire. Wind is my weakest, fire my strongest and earth and water sway in the same boat weak/strong wise, like they're my middle strengthed elements. Anyway, I'm going to shut up because I may be confusing some of you (and you know who you are a*****e) smile So, with this post I bid goodbye for now until I get a reply.

I must concur with Terren with some of what she says. Fire can be used defensively, however its much better used and more practical in an offensive manner. Me, my strongest elements as I have made quite plain throughout this tournament is fire and earth. I despise wind and water simply because, honestly, I cant think of much to do with water or wind, at least not until I started reading Snows battles. xp

At anyrate I prefer to use Fire as an attacking element and earth as the defensive since that is in some ways their primary use, however, as few have seen, I can do a good deal of attacking with either. mrgreen

Omi: Water is an can be used as a defensive structure like earth. For example, walls of thickly created ice against incoming physical attacks. How about a tidal wave of water, if source is given, to slow the oncoming impact of a giant sized arm moving like a mac truck at your body. [Yes I have been reading the matches of the dragon kin dude.] However, like I said before I hate water because honestly, I cant think of much to use it for. I find shards of ice to attack too cliche for any matches. I much rather blow things up or crush them. However, if I were to use water and wind, it would probbaly be my defensive element while the later would be offensive in some way.

Moving at the speed of light is quite fun in all to deal with in quite honesty. I simply go with a simple instant death since most people dont think to deal with the friction of air moving across the body. If you want to move that fast at least have some way to deal with the deadly burns your going to induce upon yourself.

Ryu: I never said water couldn't be utilized as a defensive ploy, but that it isn't "by default" defensive. Same with anything else any character can use ever. A shield can chop someone's head off if done right. User Image

No no no no; it doesn't matter if it's "uncommonly seen" or not, if it happens, it happens. It could be a .000001% of occurring- but if it does, it does as much as anything else.

Let's say that came up and punched your face. Now that's pretty uncommon, fer' that build of Gundam to punch your face. But if it did? You couldn't get up [presuming you even had the ability to] saying, ".. What.. but that's so rare, the chances of that were low!"

You must always think of what might happen; even the most outlandish of things. A spoon can become a knife. A shield can become a round disc of face-rape. A sword can become a shield. And fire can make food very delicious or horrifically terrible in the manner of a few minutes' time; think harduh'.

Spoons become knives pretty often.

They're called shivs. xd

I was thinking more along the lines of a simpler edit..

User Image becomes User Image

..but your idea works too. /gg

That's harder to manage. What you do is bend the scooping end back and forth till it heats up and you can break it off from the handle. Then you grind the broken tip to a point and wrap the bottom of it in some tape for a handle.

Boom. Stabby-shiv. Not too long, but it doesn't have to be if you're gonna stab a dude like eighteen times anyways.

Not bad at all and I'm sure it'd do the job, especially when it comes to straight stabbing someone versus elegant cuts - but..

I call it "Surgical Shank." It'd totally work.

Prison word: SHANK! A SPOON becomes a SHANK...not a ******** knife...>.> jeez, get it right. Yes, I know this. No, I'm not going to tell you how I know this. Yes, it is bad to drop the soap in a female prison as well. No, again I will not tell you how I know this.

That's what a shiv is.

Shiv = shank. Just two different words for the same thing.

Both of which are essentially knives, because they often times are small (under 9 inches, for sure, in terms of blade length) with edges and points.

So yeah, they're knives. Just very, very rough knives.
