...Ah, the noise. A wonderful cacophony of calamity that could only conclude in chaos. The only thing about the noise was that it meant that his bike was in trouble. Yes, the town was also in peril, and the people within, but his bike was the first thing that came to mind when he heard it all.

"Oh, hell."

Evan began running towards the noise, hoping that the garage in which his two-wheeled vehicle was being restored wasn't trashed yet. He took note of the damage that had already been done and cursed silently. Nothing would stand for long if he just moved at this meager speed.

So he started shunting towards the intended target of his increasing ire using the Gale Shift, vanishing and reappearing again quite a distance from his last position.

"Dammit, dammit, dammit! This always has to happen, doesn't it?"

The girl drew her attention then else where, wanting to explore.it was in her nature and instinct. She felt awkward having ears and a tail so she tried her best to hide them.

Then this devine smell caught her off gaurd.this heavenly energetic smell, she never smelled it before, but it smelled sweet and addicting.she followed the scent and it lead her to this spot with lots of bread she did not know of. it smelled so good she just stared at the pastries and looked at the people making the concaution.

"hmmm" She tilted her head once more.

The liquid they made looked hot from her experience with scolding hot things she found on the island. She was tired. So many new things in one day overwhelmed her so she sat down in one of the stools. She looked at how it was shaped and as she sat down she jumped back up. Never, had anything been so soft and with her cat like nature she adored it.

She sat it in snuggling her bottom into the seat and layed her head down on the table watching as people walked in.ordered what they wanted and left so happy. The cat girl noticed one particular thing. That they exchanged some strange metal for the drink or pastry they wanted.what was this metal they carried with them as she carried her homemade stone like-blades.would they care to trade her for her cloth or even food she had in her baggy on her hip.

"Ni!!" She perked up remembering the berries she had and a gaint cat like smile arose in her face and her ears stood up so high. The thought of the sweetness in the berries made her purr.As she ate them her cat feet flexed at the juicy fruit.and she was more happy then overwhelmed now.and the berries made her day. She then wished she had someone to share them with. She was alone in this world now.

The insectoid head turned to examine the street below, chances are those red optics would be one of the last things to see the street unharmed. Moments after the machine scuttled by on the rooftops, the ball would hammer through. Smashed a window, totalled a row of parked cars, and flipped the last one into yet another building.

>> ENERGY SPIKES DECTECTED_
>> THREAT POTENTIAL... LIKELY_
>> CALCULATING_
>> RUN: HOOK CANNON PROTOCOL_

A panel on the machine's back flew off into the streets. From it a new hiss was added to the hydraulic orchestra already playing, a rising hiss that ended with ka-chunk. Arisen from the Longlegs' back was now a large looking cannon, pivoting around as it searched for a target, and tilting slightly as it calculated the angle.

>> RUNNING VECTOR SIMULATION... 100%_
>> CHANCE OF OFFENSIVE SUCCESS... 13%_
>> CHANCE OF EVASIVE SUCCESS... 76%_
>> FIRING_

The cannon fired at a right angle compared to the direction the machine was headed, as a note, said machine was only slowing down slightly to make this shot. A large hook flew through the air, a chain twirling in the air behind it. The links didn't remain slack for long for as soon as the hook latched onto the second floor of a bakery, the winch in the cannon activated. Another loud hissing sound came as the chain tightened as far as it could, the hook found its way to something stable. Winch alone not being able to succed, the Longlegs returned to full speed.

Gears ground, and splinters flew, but the building gave up before the towing machine. Down came the second floor into the streets, a cascade of rubble that could crush a human easily. Though the Longlegs intended it more to block the path of Cro Dena and Evan.

Saiyamoru stood on the docks, watching the workers haul their catches from their boats. She rocked back and forth on her heels, her eyes unblinking. The ghosts of her ancestors swarmed around her, making the air seem curiously--thick, almost oily where she stood. The people around her shuddered as they passed through the cold spots around her, but she seemed not to notice. She had very little money left; barely enough for a train fare to the Stadium. And she didn't particularly want to be stranded there without a weapon, without a return ticket, and without food.

She stood there for a few more minutes, then turned on her heels and walked back down the street. The sun would be setting soon, and she wanted to get out from under the open sky before some dolt decided she looked like easy pickings. Her eyes were caught by a flickering neon sign in ghastly scarlet. A coffee house. Saiya lingered on the street, indecisive, then went in and took a booth. When the waitress passed by, she caught hold of her apron.

A few minutes later, she was in the back, her shirtsleeves rolled up past her elbows, scrubbing earnestly at a black splotch on a cup. The ghosts swarmed around their descendant anxiously. They had been a proud family, feared and respected in Strata. Now? Reduced to this? Washing dishes in a third-rate restaurant in a foreign city?

Evan gritted his teeth as the building came down right in front of him. Well, there was a way up, naturally, but it was difficult. The chain would still be retreating, so at least he had a direction to go in.

Or perhaps not... quickly looking at the direction in which the spider was headed, he made a few quick mental notes... and took off. Not letting the rubble stand in his way, Evan leapt atop the former second floor of the building and began following the mechanic spider over the rooftops, heading on an intercept course.

So he was still coming... what now?

Tade was strolling down the streets of Latent as he looked from one building to the next, doing a little window shopping here and there. Today, he wore a simple brown sleeveless shirt which seemed too long for him as it would hang down to his knees. His feet were bare however, and he wore grey shorts, barely visible because of the long shirt he wore. All in all, his colour scheme for this day seemed rather earthen with the grey and brown. Upon his shoulders, he carried his long cudgel in its cloth wrap. To him, it felt a little different, like the weight was off or something.

"The boss must have done something to it..." he muttered quietly to himself as he went down the street and looked up into the clouds, "Ah well, no biggy."

On this fine day, or perhaps afternoon, or perhaps even night-who knows, really?-there was a particular man, by the name of Dante Cri'noid, who was walking the streets of a city by the name of Latent. Just moments before, this man had left the enclosure of a building acting as a makeshift inn while the owners' actual inn was under repair. Unbeknownst, most likely, throughout the midst of the crowds of the town, Dante had been spending the past two or three days lazying about the interior of that particular inn.

Suddenly, he noticed, coming to from the depths of his own thoughts, that people left and right were rushing past him, and obviously, in one direction; towards a central point. Peeking his interest somewhat as it did, Dante then hurried himself in that same direction, now becoming part of the crowds. Of course, he'd be obviously noticeable; his rather large three pairs of wings could be distinguished unmistakably as he trekked on. And so it was that he suddenly came to the site of a rather large mechanical monstrosity, with a number of obviously strong competitors attempting to loose their inhuman abilities upon this creature's sorry hide.

What fun! thought Dante, wondering whether or not to join in. Well, Hell, why not!?

And with that, Dante took a few more steps forwards, the crowds parting with seeming ease as he'd made up his mind. Yelling towards the others facing the mechanical structure in hopes of acceptance, Dante asked, "Ya'll need some help with this?" A smile crossed his lips; he'd either help them or simply show off on his own.

((stereotypical mechanical monster eating all the metal in a quiet town/city 3nodding ))

Cro didn't have the luxery of being able to jump from the ground up to the second story of a building, or the actual time to dodge much, being closer to the actual machine. But Aeromancy did have it's benifits. He kicked about a handspan off the ground and shot off underneath the rapidly falling like a speed skater, before landing again on the other side, beanie lost and looking pissed off.

He'd liked that hat.

Something flickered out of the corner of his strange eyes and the felinesk man saw Hugin leaping from building to building, and he sighed softly. Explosions seemed immenant.

As a building exploded into a cloud of debris and dust down the street, kicking up air in his direction as his long shirt would puff open, filling with the passing air of the explosion in the distance, Tade stopped moving. At that point in time, he would just be staring in the direction as a large machine went waltzing by, breaking stuff.

"Wow." It was all he said, and with that, he turned to go in the other direction. He didnt want none of that s**t, plain and simple. He wasnt some sort of wanna be hero, come to save the day and show off some fancy power that would probably end up with a whole lot of collateral damage. He was just a boy, and things like this were out of his hands. So he did what was smart under the circumstances; get away from the troubles.

Surely another part of the town would not be blowing up all over the place and then filled with construction crews for a couple months afterwards.

Nell was walking south on the road between Barton and Latent. He had be walking that road for a while now after meeting up with it, just as the traviler he had met said he would. It was a typical day for him in gaia, he was hungery and his back hurt from laying on the ground at night and he was horribly bored, but that would not stop him because he could now see his next destination, the town of Latent. The town was still far off, but it was visable and that gave him strength.

Nell who is only about 5' 2" is a very pale, young man of 21 years old. To most he would look to be just a peasant, for he did not own anything of value and the only clothing he had to his name was a tattered piece of dirty white cloth, which he fashioned into a robe. He was lucky to even have this thanks to the traviler that he met before. None of this really mattered though because he had found his destination, and he was now one step closer to his goal.

((unsure if it is night or day in latent, so I can't be sure I can even get in right now. So if someone know please let me know so I can decide what to do next.))

Saiyamoru stepped out into the back alleyway behind the cafe with a sigh. Her fingers fumbled with the antique lock for a few seconds, before she finally just shoved the door back into place--where it stuck--and left towards the main streets. She would come back tomorrow, she decided, looking down at her shadow, calculating the time. With luck, she would be able to get out of here by next week or so. But for now...her stomach growled. She'd get something cheap to eat at one of the stalls by the docks. Her ancestors, seeping out of the brickwork around her, some of them barely more than anthromorphic blobs, clustered around her as she headed towards the sea.

SPLAT.

A slice of pizza would land on the top of Saiyamoru's head, cheese side down. Siat heard the splat and looked up, realising that a slice had slid out of the pizza box he had in his lap, and considering he was sitting on a roof, it made sense that it would hit her.

"Sorry!"

The girl below didn't say anything. She simply raised her hands, pulled the sopping piece of pizza off her head, rubbed her free hand through her hair, watching the tomato sauce plop on the cobbles below. Then, her expression not changing, her face turned upwards. She bit into the slice thoughtfully, kicked off her shoes, and clambered up. Onto the edge of the water pipe--hot pipe, hot pipe--grab the windowsill with both hands, swing her feet onto the power box, grab hold of the gutter, and heave herself over the roof. Saiya pulled the pizza out of her mouth and turned around. "You've got good aim,"

"It..." redface "It was an accident... sorry."

Siat quickly turned to look at the remaining seven slice of pizza. Then he turned his head back to look at her.

"I'm Siat."
