i dont suggest it. its nothing but random cuteness. a good anime to pick up would be X/1999 or Noir. theyre pretty decent. Ghost in the Shell- Stand Alone Complex is a major hit right now, and its new to america so thats good

I LOVE that show, more than is probably healthy. I was so happy when it got licensed... and when the manga came out... and then when the dvds started coming out.
Looking at the box, I'm gonna guess three more to go, which is nice(r than Eva was, at 8 dvds, as far as number of dvds required to own whole series... not to mention movies)...
Y'know, ADV looks like it's actually usually pretty good about #of DVDs to finish series... I guess they figured they could charge Eva fans more 'cause they're obsessed enough to pay anything.

And as for SAC... well, I've been waiting for these DVDs ever since the fansubs dried up and I couldn't finish the last 4 or 5 episodes of the series. Well, ok, I could find SOME fansubs, they were just done by people who apparently spoke neither Japanese nor English. I'd basically recommend that to everyone who likes intrigue, robots, guns, violence, and thinking. Still not really a substitue for Azumanga Daioh, though, since they're completely different.

You're quite right when you say that, sybrid...the Box set for NGE has been over $100 for as long as I can remember.
