Ces_Lupine Snowfable Ces_Lupine *Ces looks up and sees Fenris. She grins at him and then looks over at Snow surrounded by her wolves. Looking over at the brewing storm, Ces nods to them and inclines her head tward the source, a silent question to investigate further.* ((Snow - if water is your element, looks like we're about to head into your territory. Got ideas?)) Weather magic is tricky. I could take the water away, but then it'd be all wind. Without the water to weigh it down, the wind would tear this valley apart. *Snow gnaws on her lower lip, thinking hard* A little rain will be good for us...so maybe we can just go to the source of the storm? ((I'm considering going back to my witchy ways and just having empathy, the wolves, the sheilds, a talent for water and a lot of spells.)) *nods and sets off twards the east at a cautious pace, keen to see the source.* ((whichever works. or all. no worries. I'm thinking I'll have an Insight look here pretty darn soon, so let me know what direction we should go... is this just one of say five elemental Old Ones or just one of many playing with water?)) ((Hmmm...the Soul Eater wasn't a nature elemental. He stole souls and twisted emotions for sustenance. But I like that idea--we could get them to work against each other. *shrugs* Or they could be one-time magickers who've grown powerful, greedy and lost their way. I was thinking this one could be a weather witch of some sort.)) *Tumblethorn whuffs and noses Snow as Ces moves away. Snow pulls herself onto Tumblethorn's back, careful not to touch the wolf with the glaive, and follows*

*Snow reaches out to the storm with her still-sore empathic sense* I can't read anything off that storm. I can feel something in there that HAS feelings, but the lightning is keeping me from reading WHAT.

Snowfable *Snow reaches out to the storm with her still-sore empathic sense* I can't read anything off that storm. I can feel something in there that HAS feelings, but the lightning is keeping me from reading WHAT. "The important thing is snow, can i eat it? Im starving!"

*Ces begins to be pelted with rain, her fur drenched as she approaches the core of the storm. Suddenly she screams in pain and falls to the ground, clutching her head in her paws.*
There is a woman in the center of a gushing tide of water that stretches to the sky, she looks at them and laughs.
*Ces staggers to her feet and looks around for Snow and Fenris and says:*
I've seen her.
A woman.
Controlling the storm.
We've got to get through the rain to her.

A woman. Controlling the storm. We've got to get through the rain and wind to her. *Snow looks at Ces and reads what she just saw* She can control water. And she's creating this storm. No wonder I can't get a reading on her. *glances at Fenris* We're hungry, too, Fenris. But we've got to find out why this woman is here. No normal person rides a storm in. She's grandstanding for some reason.

Agreed, Snow.
*turns and continues into the storm, heading for what she knew used to be a large lake on the eastern side of the valley. It made sense for this woman to be surrounded by water in order to create this storm.*

It made sense for this woman to be surrounded by water in order to create this storm.* *Tumblethorn turns to follow Ces, Snow clinging closely to the wolf's back to keep from being blown off as the wind picks up* I think we should try talking to her first! *calls up to Ces*

"Let me walk in the front My body can shield you two from most of the winds brunt." *loping ahead his white fur whiping in the fierce wind he gets in front creating a wall of flesh and fur that the wind fuitiley batter agaisnt.*

I'm not sure. I don't know if I can yell that loudly. Perhaps there is a form of communication which does not require words.

*slowly, they come closer to the lake. The rain is now coming at them so hard that it's like walking inside the lake, and breathing without inhaling water has become a problem.*
*Ces attempts to look into the storm more closely, but even her enhanced vision cannot see further than the storm will allow.*
