I won't be beaten down" ~Orion Michael De La Cruz~ Orion was seated at the head of the table. They were currently conducting their AA meetings in the bar. They had a room that was smaller then the one they had in the Club House but it was big enough it could accommodate the seven members and the two newest Prospects. It wasn't exactly comfortable but they weren't on top of one another either. "So I have started talks with the contractor and his team. The work on the Club House can't be started until all the permits and necessary clearances and paperwork is done processing. I know we were hoping the work would be started immediately and it's already been over two months since the place was burned down. However...we have some hold ups. City Hall is not granting the permits, and I am sure there are a few people responsible for the hold ups, but we are trying to work through it. We all just need to relax, and be patient." Orion looked around the table. "I would like to take a moment and welcome our newest Brothers officially. Wolf, Grif and Hammer. They are now full fledged members of our brotherhood. We have two new Prospects as well. They are outside in the hallway. Named Trevor and Brody, they will be tested for the next three months and then we will vote on keeping them on as Prospects for the duration of the year or not." The President grew silent and watched as the three Prospects slid of their Prospect leathers and slipped on their official cuts. The men had all more than earned it, which is why they had been allowed in before the full year as Prospect was up. They had been tested and proven themselves. They had stood by the Club, and done more than what was asked of them to protect the MC and women. It had been a hard decision to let Wolf in the MC. Orion liked Wolf whose real name was Connor as a person. He just didn't like the interest he seemed to have in Cadence. Orion had kept a very close eye on Wolf and he had never crossed any lines with Cadence. It didn't mean Orion liked the close friendship that had been forming between the pair. He got the feeling Jasper didn't either but Jasper wouldn't say anything because he wasn't with Cadence. So he felt he had no real reason to object to the friendship of care either way about the friendship. Orion had took it upon himself to tell Wolf that he wanted him to steer clear of his sister, and that he would not allow a relationship between the pair regardless of what Cadence wanted. He then talked to Cadence who had laughed at him. He had been angry but she quickly explained she had no interest in Wolf that way. He had a girlfriend and Cadence did not find Wolf very attractive. He was handsome but not her type in the least. The two had bonded over food, music and a love of creepy things. They were hanging out because his girlfriend scared easily, and wasn't into 'scary' things. Wolf had backed way off the friendship with Cadence. He never stayed in a room with her if no one else was around, he stopped texting her, didn't stop by her place and at first Cadence had been hurt by it. Then annoyed, but then she had simply accepted it. The Club meant more to him then their friendship, and that was great to know. She had no interest in being friends with someone who couldn't stand up for himself, or their friendship. Orion had voted for Wolf to be accepted into the MC as a full fledged member because he felt Wolf could be trusted. He figured if Jasper could tolerate him then so could he. His only flaw after all had been that he had been overly friendly with the President's sister. If that was a crime then Jasper and Killian wouldn't be in the MC either. "So the BBQ at my house starts at 3, I hope to see you all there. It will be fun, and there will be lots of food. See you all later. this meeting is officially closed unless someone else has new business they would like to discuss. Jasper, hang back after the meeting. I would like a word in private." Ryder looked around the table. Waiting to see if anyone had anything they wanted to discuss. Orion couldn't wait to get home to his wife. She was really showing now and he loved it. She had a baby bump that he just adored. She seemed to have a glow about her constantly. She was tired a lot nowadays, but he just loved watching her. He was still as completely smitten with her as when they first started dating. Even more so now he thought. He especially felt this way when he watched her with Thomas. She was an amazing Mother to their child, and he found that intensified his love for her. His ex had no interest in being a Mother, and had used Isabelle as a tool to get what she wanted. The child was nothing more then a mistake in her Mother's eyes and was treated as such. That had always make him angry and hurt if he was being honest. Her rejection of their child had been the final nail in that coffin. She could not would not love their child. Something that they created together, well then he could not love her at all. Isabelle was the one who received all his love an attention. Of course things were different between Grace and Orion. There was an actual relationship between the pair. they had been truly in love when she gotten pregnant with Thomas. She had wanted a child. So the whole experience was completely different and in his opinion is was beautiful. ~Ryder~ I have the answer

Grace Preggers Outfit
Grace basically spent most of her time at home, either chasing after Thomas-- who was now walking around -- or just taking time to nap. Or eat. Two of her favorite things lately. Since they had gotten the paternity results back she and Orion hadn't heard s**t from Mendez. It was like he dropped off the face of the Earth, and she wasn't complaining. It was better that way, with him out of the picture. Not to mention she had been pretty busy buying girly outfits and such to prepare for the new baby. Even though they still had about 3 months left before she was due - she still wanted to be prepared. They hadn't even discussed a name yet, and that was making her a little nervous. Today she was getting things ready for the BBQ that Orion had planned, which meant a lot of cooking and cleaning. Potato salad, macaroni salad, cupcakes (mostly because she wanted them), cornbread, baked beans, baked potatoes, green beans, corn on on the cob, and whatever else anyone wanted to bring. She was going to leave the grilling to Orion...because she was afraid of blowing up the whole house trying to start up the grill.

you feel like you wanna just give up  [ ~Cadence Jaycey Sinclair-Caine~ SunshineCadence had just returned home after a ten day trip the day before. She had taken a small road trip to see her friend and the new baby named Yasmina Avaline. After spending a few days there, helping out with Yasmina. After spending a few days there, she went on to visit Eden and Jethro. After spending a couple of days there Cadence had decided to take a few days to herself. She felt like after the last almost two years she earned some time to herself. She bakery would be up and running soon, and she knew once it was up and running that would be it. it was a full time commitment from her and she wouldn't have the time to scratch that traveling itch of hers. She had made the most of her trips, went to a few concerts, the aquarium, the zoo, hiking, took a boat out, star gazed, and she had even hit a few clubs and bars. She had done a lot of soul searching on her trip, and thinking about life. Of course she had picked up presents for Thomas, Tyson and Yasmina. She had dropped Yasmina's presents off on her way home. Once Cadence had returned home she had stopped by Jasper's place to once and for all come clean with the man. She had told him she was in love with him, and had been for a long time now. She was determined to win him over. She didn't care how long it took, or what she had to do. She knew it was Jasper she wanted, and he was worth fighting for. He was the only one worth fighting for. After her confession she had simply kissed him and had went home to her apartment. She had not expected an answer then and there. She had figured he would need time to think about everything, as she had. So she had said goodnight and left the man to sort through his own feelings. Now she was at Grace and Orion's place. Helping set up, as was Lena and Archie. Well Tyson was keeping Thomas entertained. Archie and Cadence were setting up the large yard, and Lena was currently helping Grace in the kitchen. Cadence of course had desserts covered, she had made lemon bars, fruit salad, cherry pie, blueberry pie, a chocolate cake and a strawberry shortcake. (She had spent the night baking away her nervous energy.) Lena had brought and prepared Squash and Zucchini to put on the grill, it was her favorite thing grilled, she had also brought a 5 bean salad, cucumber salad and both her beer cheese dip, and spinach artichoke dip since she had not been sure which would go over better with the men. Cadence returned to the kitchen and washed her hands. She moved to the island counter beside Grace, and across from her Mother. She watched in silence a moment. "Grace I bought the trays, a few different meets, cheeses and crackers. I figured we could make our own tray. Do you prefer the meats and cheeses sliced or cubed?" She asked not wanting to just start taking over Grace's event. "Grace, did you want Cadence to make a veggie tray? She bought several trays but said she was unsure if you would want a veggie tray." Lena asked, pausing to glance up at Grace. Lena and Cadence were very comfortable hosting. Lena had always been the hostess in her circle of friends, and Cadence had apparently picked up that trait. Cadie was always Lena's best helper as a child, and apparently even as a grown up she enjoyed the excitement of setting up for an event. ~Candie~ But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
And just pull that sh*t out of you and get that motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Grace was so damn happy to have people helping with everything, because at least every half hour she had to move and take a seat to rest for a few minutes. Lena and Cadence were a big help with the food and the preparations, and Archie was outside doing all the heavy lifting. It was like everything was falling right into place. "It doesn't matter, either way it's going to get eaten. You know men don't care about the looks as long as it tastes good...speaking of..." She cut off a slice of the cheddar cheese, wrapped it around a couple stacked pickle chips and popped it in her mouth. She grinned and gave Cadence a thumbs up to indicate that it tasted just fine. Just then, Archie walked into the kitchen and did the same, cutting himself a slice of cheese and popping it into his mouth as well. "Yard is all set up, darlin." He placed a kiss to the side of Grace's head and looked between Lena and Cadence, the carbon copies of one another. "You think that Orion and his boys will be upset that we are gonna be here for the BBQ?" Not that he gave a s**t, because Grace was his niece and he was going to be there if he damn well pleased. He just needed to know in advance if he was going to need to be a bit of an a*****e or not. There was no telling how they were going to feel since he had used to be a Reaper. He also was kind of curious to know if Orion invited his father, because having Lena here with him and Joshua showing up -- might be a little tense. Grace moved to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of green tea and opening it, taking a long drink and shaking her head. "I'm sure Orion won't mind. Cadie, do you know if they sent the invite to Shandee?" The woman was holding herself together fairly well after losing her husband, and even if he was gone she was still considered a part of the family. A small cackle filled the air and Thomas came waddling around the corner, laughing as Tyson chased him. He ran right to Archie's legs, where the older man bent down and scooped him up.

A silly little back and forth the women had always had. It was actually why Cadence had asked. Her Mother cubed the snacks and put toothpicks in them all. Cadence felt slices covered more of the crackers and were easier to eat. "I know they will eat it regardless. I was asking what was more aesthetically pleasing to you. This is your event after all." Cadence explained as she worked. She was soon done with the cheeses and meats, it was obvious Cadence had done that more than a few times. "I will make the veggie tray." Lena offered and Cadence nodded. "Yes, Orion texted me a couple of days ago and asked me to to invite Shandee. She originally declined, she did not want you to go through the trouble since you are pregnant and have a toddler. I had breakfast with her this morning and explained she might as well come. You were hosting regardless, and the guys wanted to see the kids. She is coming and bringing her special red, white and bleu potato salad, seafood salad, and pasta salad. Her pasta salad is the best. Oh, she is making her buffalo chicken dip and her crab dip." Cadence said and flashed Grace a big smile. "Grace, I am not sure you will have enough space to put what is left away.""With so many grown men, I am sure there won't be much left." Cadence began arranging the food on the tray carefully. She made short work of it and washed her hands once more. "Orion came to the house and invited us Archie. I am not sure why, I think he wanted to make sure Grace had her family here, and knew they were welcome too. It was a nice gesture Arch. Can I help with anything else Grace?" Lena said and gave him a look. She knew he was not exactly a fan of Orion, but he still had to be polite for Grace's sake. She hoped Archie and Orion could eventually find some common ground. Something that would bring the pair closer. Cadence glanced up at Archie quickly, hoping things weren't going to get awkward for them all. "Is there anything I can help you with out back?" She offered quickly. "Oh...Orion invited Dereck as well. He never got a text back from Dereck though. So I am not sure he is coming. I only know he texted him." Cadence said and moved toward the back door. She watched as Tyson walked the distance of the kitchen and came to stand beside her. She glanced over at him, he had just been through another growth spurt and was now only about three inches smaller than her at almost 9. Clearly her brother took after his Father's side of the family, and would be very tall like David was. ~Candie~ But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
And just pull that sh*t out of you and get that motivation to not give up

Jasper sat at the bar during the Angel's meeting, a beer in his hand. He was happy their numbers were growing again; that Orion trusted this new blood. Sure he might not trust these new brothers as much as his old, but they had yet to take away that trust as well. He watched as the new members put on their new cuts and nodded as Orion stated they had new prospects out in the hall. The Angel's had always been a large brotherhood. Yet he was beginning to wonder just how long would it take for them to start chartering out across a few towns or states. As the business was getting wrapped up, Jasper finished his beer like most of the other guys seated around the bar and made to throw the bottle away on his way out. He planned to bring Thomas' finished toddler bed over for the party. Grace was sure to love it. However Ryder's voice stopped him short. The blonde man turned back around to look at the darker haired man, He nodded in his direction, and moved back towards the bar stools that had recently been evacuated, "What's up, Ryder?" He asked as all the other men left.

What Orion really meant but would not come out and say it because he didn't want to offend. Was he okay with Wolf joining their ranks. Again Jasper had always been the quieter of the group, Orion had not trusted it at first but now he appreciated it. He also liked Jasper a great deal as a person. He looked out for Grace without being asked to. He seemed able to get through to her, and could really relate to Grace. Orion had really grown fond of Jasper in the last year. He was a damn good brother, one Orion was thankful for. After the year of losing so many, it was nice to know some of the ones they had brought into their fold were worthy of riding with the others. ~Ryder~ I have the answer

The man stared back at his president for a moment in thought. Now wasn't that an odder question. Had Cadie said something to her brother after her confession of her feelings and then sudden departure? More than likely not. Jasper hadn't even mentioned it to Grace. Even though he knew those blonde's lips were sealed if he had. He shook his head. No the man was more than likely just talking about the club business. Jasper clapped Orion's shoulder friendly "Yea man. All's good.'Preciate you checking up, but we got no problems, right?"Unless there was something he didn't know. Perhaps there was something that Ryder needed him to check up on, or take care of "You ready for the BBQ tonight? Lots of people I hear will be over. How's Grace been holding up with the pregnancy? Haven't seen her for a while."

I think Cadie cut her trip short to make sure she was able to help Grace out. Last I heard she was suppose to go wild water rafting with friends, but then she showed up in town." He gave a little shrug. "Either way I am happy Grace has the help. I wouldn't be any help. I can't cook to save my life." He grinned at Jasper. "I am looking forward to tonight. All my favorite people, food, and ice cold beer. What's not there to love? You could probably head over early, I am sure she will have something for you to do." Grace was in nesting mode, and was preparing the house for the baby. Her nesting instincts sometimes made her do weird and crazy things like order the same sheets in all 10 colors/patterns they came in. ~Ryder~ I have the answer

Dereck was already showered and ready to go, though, Maralyn was already so close to giving birth that he wasn't even sure if the woman would want to go to the BBQ. It surprised him that her small frame was even able to hold two babies. "I didn't give Orion an answer yet...so if you aren't feeling up for it then I understand." He moved over to where she was standing and moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her rounded midsection. She was growing more tired with the passing days, and he was trying his damndest to make sure that he was helping wherever he could.

Grace grabbed herself some more cheese, and leaned her hips back against the counter as Archie held Thomas, taking him out to the backyard with a small kickball. He was always hands on with them like that when they had been kids, so it only made sense that he was the same with Thomas. When Lena and Cadence announced that they were going to make the different trays, Grace nodded and moved one hand to rub over her lower back. She was getting bigger faster with this this baby than she did with Thomas...and just really in her stomach and boobs. Which made her lower back unhappy if she spent too much time on her feet. It was almost torture to imagine that she still had about three more months of this to deal with. "I'm so sorry, I just need to sit down for a little bit.." She squeezed Cadie's arm and moved over to the couch, plopping right down and laying her head back as her hands rested over her bump.

"Do you want to lay down for a bit?" Cadence asked concern clear on her face. She looked a bit pale and tired today but seemed perky and in great spirits. "We can handle the prep work if you need to lay down. I will even see to it that Thomas eats lunch and takes his nap if you want." She offered and gave Grace a little hug. Her poor sister-in-law looked exhausted, and really didn't need the stress of hosting. Cadie wished there was more she could do to help her. Her greenish eyes were on Grace's belly. Grace was already pretty big, and would only continue you to grow. She had many more months to go. She hoped Orion would be a bit more considerate of her condition in the future. Though she was not going to voice her opinion. It wasn't her place to say anything. She was working hard on repairing bonds with those she cared about. This meant her brother, and it also meant she had to lay off him. ~Candie~ But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength

Grace shook her head when Cadie mentioned tea or a sandwich, but the nap sounded like something she needed. And it was also something she desperately wanted -- but would never admit it. Though, since Cadie was offering, she was absolutely going to take the help. "I think I will go take a nap. He should be tuckered out from playing with Archie that he will go right down with no problem." She leaned her shoulder against Cadie's briefly and placed a kiss on the woman's cheek. "I don't know what happened, but this pregnancy is taking so much out of me. More than Thomas did." It was supposed to get easier with the second, third, and fourth pregnancy and so on. But not for Grace. After a second she slowly stood from the couch and rubbed her hand over her stomach. "Thank you, Cadie. If Orion gets home..or people start to show up wake me. I don't need to be sleeping when there are guests over.." It would be rude, and she would feel bad about it. With that she pushed a hand through her hair and moved back to the room she shared with Orion, kicking off her shoes and crawling right up into the big bed to take a nap.

She gave him a little grin and grabbed a plate. She began to put a few things on the plate so that he would go wander off and eat instead of being in the way in the kitchen. "Where's Gracie?" He asked as he accepted the plate from the tiny brunette. "Laying down. Poor baby is exhausted Ri." She said as she moved to grab things to give the counter a final wipe down. "She wants to be woken up when you get home, or guests arrive." Cadie informed her brother. He picked at his plate, and frowned at the baby carrots on his plate. "Set an example for your son." Cadence replied as he eyeballed the carrots. He picked one up and stared at it like it had personally offended him. "Let her sleep. What can I do to help? She still doesn't know right?" He asked at once as he set his plate down. "She has no clue. The decorations are in my trunk and in the garage. I had Archie hide some stuff in there while I kept her in the kitchen working." Orion smiled and rubbed his hands together. "So let's start decorating!" His voice was low but very excited. Cadence nodded her head. "So as I put Thomas down we can start decorating. Shandee and his older sister Sherri are already on their way over. We will have the whole place decorated before she wakes.""Okay. How about this instead, I will feed Thomas and bathe him, put him down for his nap. You focus on decorating. I want this Baby Shower to be perfect for her.""So...you guys are staying till what....six?" Cadence asked once again as she started toward the living room. "Seven, then we are heading to our party. You know, booze, boobs and half naked babes." He replied gleefully and she rolled her eyes. He followed her out and helped her bring in the boxes of decorations. Orion placed his hand on the small of her back, trying to steady his sister on the chair. He gripped her hand and helped her down once she had hung the decorations. It was then he notices the tattoo on her left shoulder. He frowned at it. "Never pegged you for the tattoo type Cadence." He said and actually meant it. He hadn't thought much about what she was really like as a person though to be honest. They were still getting to know one another after all. "Well...I didn't think I was either until recently.""Just....don't go crazy. Anything more than three on a woman is trashy." He said and she grinned at him. "I must be bordering on trashy then..." She smirked at him and watched him frown back. "You have three tattoos?""Yep.""You have seen mine, so....let's see yours.""Well you have see the largest and newest. My monkey on my upper left shoulder. I have a flower anklet on my right ankle." She twisted and pulled away the think strap on her shirt so he could get a better look at the monkey on her back. Then she lifted her right foot, and held her leg out so he could see the anklet. "Where is your third one?" He asked and was rewarded with her cheeks immediately being stained bright pink. "My inner hip. Obviously you can't see it. It's very personal, and only meant for certain people to see." Orion looked horrified. "You let a man brand you?! Are you crazy?!""I am not branded. It's just ink. I can get it covered up. Besides....I did it because I wanted too. Not because he demanded or even asked me too." Cadence rolled her eyes at her brother's reaction. "Now he thinks he owns you." She laughed at his serious expression. "He doesn't even know! He has no idea, so he can't possibly think he owns me." She patted his arm, trying to comfort him. "Who is he?" Orion demanded and Cadence patted his chest reassuringly. 'There isn't a chance I would ever reveal whose name I have tattooed on me." She turned and walked away with a smug smile on her face. It was about two hours later and finally Orion moved into the room to wake Grace. He laid down beside her in the bed. Wrapping one arm across her mid section. He placed a kiss to the back of her shoulder. "Grace baby....it is time to wake up honey." He leaned a bit over her and kissed her cheek. "Wake up sweetheart." He moved his large hand over her rounded belly. By now most of the guests had already arrived and were waiting quietly in the yard and some in the house. The decorations were up and all the tables already set. Lena, Cadie, Shandee, Sherri, Tyson, Orion and Archie had worked their behinds off to get the house ready for the surprise Baby Shower. Orion was pleased with how everything had come out, and he was hoping his wife would like everything. ~Candie~ But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength

Grace felt when Orion had joined her in the bed, but she was so warm and so comfortable that she didn't stir. At least not until she felt him kiss her shoulder and urge her to wake up. By now she could smell the food and everything in the air and it made the little baby seem to wake up too. Doing small somersaults and stretches. She hummed softly and leaned back against Orion, turning her head to look at him with a sleepy smirk. "Why don't we just call it a day and sleep some more?" Of course she knew that was impossible with how all of the guys were there, and many many others. She shifted on the bed to face Orion and nuzzled her face into his neck, peppering a few kisses. "I missed you today." Not only did this pregnancy make her extremely tired, she was just a little more emotional and wanting to be with Orion as much as she could. Laying with him. Touching him. Kissing him. Cuddling. Whatever it was - as long as she was near him - she was as happy as a pig in the mud.
After a moment she nodded and slowly sat up in the bed, stretching her arms into the air. "I just need to make sure I don't look like a mess..." Grace slid off of the bed and moved into the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror while fixing her bed head and finally moving back to the room to hook her fingers in Orion's belt loops to pull him close. It was hard to imagine that a few short years ago Cadence has just come back to town and that was when Grace had seen Orion for the first time in a while. Of course he'd been with Isabelle's mother then, but she still remmebered the butterflies he gave her then, and still gave her now. "I love you." She smiled and pressed her lips to his, purring lightly into the kiss. The hormones had hersleepy one moment, and completely admitted the next.
