Epoch WrenIt was the Twi'lek woman's assessment of the situation that finally brought Cedric to his senses. It was only then that the agent realized just why he had been sent here in the first place. It felt as if the temperature of the room had suddenly dropped ten degrees. He was a pawn. An expendable. It didn't actually matter whether or not he retrieved Zara. He had been sent for the specific purpose of strengthening her cover and making her look like a fugitive on the run, and now Ced was royally screwed in about a thousand different ways if it inspired them to protect the heartless shell of his sister who otherwise may not have earned their full trust. Again he had overestimated his value to Sith Intelligence. Yet there was still an edge he had, a card he may be able to play, very carefully... Cedric sighed through gritted teeth, his eyes drifting to the left. But this was the most he was going to reveal and his eyes centered back to the Twi'lek. "Before you go on, might I make a few observations of my own? You are - and this is mere speculation, correct me if I'm wrong - not Je'daii, nor Sith. Your loyalties lie with your captain, not with either side of a war that you are only indirectly involved in. Thus you are an impassive observer to whatever happens with the 'mute girl' as you so succinctly put it. Am I correct in this assumption?"This was crazy. Even crazier than revealing himself to an entire room full of Je'daii, even if it was the only thing he could have done at the time to save his hide. But maybe, just maybe she could help him out... and not expose his secret to Zara or Intelligence. Pausing for a moment, he leaned forward. "How good are you at keeping a secret, Dee?"

Epoch Wren
Master Endar slowly opened his eyes as he began to wake. Stiffness crept into his senses as he realized he had been in one spot longer than he had thought and his old body just wasn't that limber anymore. Rotating his neck a little, he heard a few pops as he stretched his muscles and attempted to stand. Vision still a little hazy, he rubbed his eyes and blinked them a bit until they cleared. "Hmm," he thought to himself, "It looks like we've landed and everyone else disembarked. Kind of them not to disturb my rest." Stretching his legs out and walking around a little, he passed a shiny surface and the reflection caught his eye. The old Je'daii master shook his head as he squared his shoulders with his reflection. Tugging on the black robes, he had forgotten that he was still wearing the sith garments Zara had gotten him during their escape. "I cannot wait to get home and burn these rags," he muttered. He turned his head upon hearing voices and then began walking towards the sounds.

Nal Hutta - CantinaYes, and you are right to not trust me. You know that I ran, but you do not know why I ran. Perhaps I was simply a coward, shirking my responsibilities at the academy. Or perhaps it is power I seek, to learn how to control the side of the Force that the Sith shun. Or maybe the Emperor himself sent me as a spy, to infiltrate your homeworld that you've kept so well hidden... Zara shook her head, downing the rest of her drink, her charcoal-dark eyes growing solemn as she looked straight at the Je'daii master. Or maybe it's even more simple than that. Maybe I just felt guilty. Maybe the Emperor had me partake in the torture that Master Endar received during his stay on Coruscant. And maybe I found myself enjoying it, and didn't understand why. And perhaps even though Master Endar claims to have forgiven me for it, maybe... I have not yet forgiven myself. "Perhaps Zara..it is all those reasons..that is why I believe Master Endar sees some hope for you...perhaps he feels he can help you find your balance..to find a reason to.be...."Wait she is not related to you?" he asked the female je'daii a hint of disbelief in his voice "How much do you know about your father?" he started looking at the two women comparing facial features, bone structure, even the obvious hair color but shook his head he was off topic now. Elyria turned from Zara..she reached for her drink and downed it in one shot..closing her eyes to enjoy the burn as it trickled down her throat.... looking to Dawson..her emerald eyes misting over for a fraction of a second... I was an only child...my Father...my parents... were lost to me at a young age...I remember.... she smiled a bittersweet smile .. just that my life back then was filled with love and laughter She listened intently as he went on explaining the events that preceded their meeting up... . 'Come to think of it , we meet her, she tries to incinerate me, fails and runs off, Je'daii show up insist we stay on the planet, same woman once again tries to kill me, fails again, runs away, and now here she is in front of me and the Je'daii bearing striking resemblance to the apparent leader of the group. It would seem I need to keep my eye's on these Je'daii.' "She's Force Sensitive, I can tell you that much" Corvin said in low tones as he slid in next to the assassin so that he and Elyria flanked the woman on either side. "A Pyro Savant, from what I've seen. Strange that she'd have used a rifle, considering her natural talent. Best guess is that she's untrained... so be ready to put out any fires if she wakes up and looses her cool!"she laughed perhaps you should.. she winked and laughed again we are what we seem - fugitives..always hiding..disguising ourselves to suit the mission..we are chameleons...but our hearts are true...as for a resemblance..well I admit..it is there..I am of Darthomirian descent..perhaps she is too..it would explain her propensity for fire she put up her hand when the server offered her another drink..it would not do to let herself become vulnerable in a place like Nal Hutta. She looked around the group well..now that we are all here..what shall we do..Dawson..if you were able to get the Imperial off our ship without him seeing Zara..you may be able to..get some answers...Zeltron's are known to be...persuasive she smiled a knowing smile at him and Zara..if you would be willing..I know Master Endar would like to ..well get to know you better...we need to get Logan back to Voss...well does anyone have a plan?

Nal Hutta - CantinaZara narrowed her eyes, knowing exactly what the Je'daii was trying to do. She didn't trust either of them, so now she was trying to separate them, separate her from the only one in the group whose motives she understood, the one she could almost trust. Who knew what the Je'daii would try to do to her once her only ally was out of the way. And Master Endar wanted to "get to know her better?" What the hell was that supposed to mean? She turned to Dawson and shook her head slowly. I don't know what they're trying to pull, but I don't trust them. Don't let them get us alone, who knows what they're going to do.She turned back to the woman, pressing her thumb to her lower lip as she thought about what she was going to say. Zara's hands were trembling slightly and she folded them in her lap surreptitiously. I'm afraid I'm not leaving the Delirium, and neither is Dawson. You and master Endar on the other hand are welcome to join us to keep an eye on us -- do not insult me by lying, I know this is about trust -- as we rendezvous with your friend's ship. I'm certain Dawson will be... accommodating...Nodding she turned back to Dawson. Right? Tell her you'll be accommodating.she thought to him, knowing that he hadn't been able to read what she had been thinking to Elyria.

Nal Hutta - Cantina well..now that we are all here..what shall we do..Dawson..if you were able to get the Imperial off our ship without him seeing Zara..you may be able to..get some answers...Zeltron's are known to be...persuasive she smiled a knowing smile at him and Zara..if you would be willing..I know Master Endar would like to ..well get to know you better...we need to get Logan back to Voss...well does anyone have a plan? I don't know what they're trying to pull, but I don't trust them. Don't let them get us alone, who knows what they're going to do.Dawson was rapping end of his chin with a finger pretending to be lost in thought at how to remove the imperial from the je'daii ship, but in reality he was trying to formulate a polite way to tell the je'daii to space off. Right? Tell her you'll be accommodating. The thought crept into his mind before he could completely finish putting together the plan he was to tell the group, he let out a sigh and finally spoke "Indeed we are master of persuasion but here on nal hutta and even more plentiful on nar shadaa reside people who can get answers much faster than I could, or shall I say willing to use on someone of such little importance as a nameless imperial? Now I can arrange for local security to board your ship and take the man captive, and even extract the answers you seek, but I am a busy man and can not stay in one place long. I recommend that we board my ship before I give such an order and have a hyperspace coordinate plotted as it is executed. Zara is whether or not you all like it a part of my crew now, and that means it is my duty to see that no harm comes to her, easiest way to do that is be aboard my ship, you claim that your Master wishes to get to know her better? Bring him with you, As I said I and there for Zara are both very busy people, I need to pick up a load of glitterstim, an cadre of dancers, and several casks of fortified blossom wine. " he paused for a moment eyeing the contents of his second glass. "There is my plan, you two join my merry crew atleast temporarily no offense your kind seem to be the expensive kind of trouble, I continue my business, and you can bond with Zara all aboard the first class accommodations aboard the Delirium." he gave in and lifted the glass to his lips downing the contents with two sips "Or I could leave the imperial aboard your ship, let you deal with him as you see fit, while Zara and I continue on to our next destination."

Nal Hutta "As I said I and there for Zara are both very busy people, I need to pick up a load of glitterstim, an cadre of dancers, and several casks of fortified blossom wine. "
"Not to mention amass an armada powerful enough to destroy half the galaxy, and then put it in the hands of a homicidal maniac. Oops did I say that out loud?
Ryo stared at the pirate through the hazy, smoke filled room. He'd had enough of this man and his showing off. Besides he had his own plan.
"Want to hear my thoughts on this?"
Stuffing his hands into his pockets he carried on without waiting for an answer.
"See doesn't it strike anyone as odd that they only send one person, one non-force sensitive, after a potentially dangerous renegade sith?Doesn't it also seem strangely convenient that he bumbled and got himself caught? It's almost like the Empire wanted you to catch him. To make it look like this girl really was acting on her own. That she's not just a plant, put here to get information from you. But hey what do I know. I'm a stranger myself. Something i'm sure she'll be keen to point out to you as she professes her innocence. Just seems a little odd that the moment your master reached you on Voss there was a fleet of Empire ships right behind them."
His hand shown Ryo waited for it to play out.
"Cmon, you're Je'daii. Pleease tell me you're not that stupid."

Voss...as far as he's concerned...I never found you! turning to Zara, her tone softening I'm sorry Zara...that you could not trust us as we have trusted you...it is your choice...we came to offer you a better life...a better way of life..but the choice is yours...I hope it does not lead to your utter destruction.. she stood, lifted her glass and downed it in one quick gulp and placed it on the table Thank you for the drinks..turning to Corvin and Logan... help me with this girl..we can't leave her here .....Zara...if you change your mind...we won't be leaving immediately

Nal Hutta - CantinaZara had been listening quietly as the others went back and forth, talking about her as though she weren't sitting right there in the same room. Yet at the Je'daii woman's words, she could feel her irritation rising. She let out a sharp laugh. Do not mock me. What was it you said on the battleground? 'I fight to protect?' Is that truly how you see yourselves? Do you fancy yourself a hero, Master Stone? her eyes were bitter and hateful, yet the rest of her demeanor was dangerously calm, hands still folded in her lap. A better life? Don't make me laugh. You're four years too late. Tell me, where were the Je'daii for the scared seventeen year old girl whose body was mutilated by cultists? Where were the Je'daii for the others who were not lucky enough to get away? I know exactly where the Je'daii were. Hiding themselves away, safe and sound in their secret temple. Her hands were trembling again as she took another sip of her drink. Turning a blind eye to atrocities makes you no better than those who commit atrocities. Perhaps I am no Sith, but I have no interest in ever joining an order built on lies and hypocrisy. The Empire will crush your pathetic rebellion like so many who came before you. And it will occur with or without my intervention.Zara stood up now, somewhat shaken. She took Dawson's arm and started projecting her thoughts to him now. Let's get out of here.To hell with the mission. They were never going to trust her anyways. Why should they?

Epoch Wren"How good are you at keeping a secret, Dee?"De'avril brushed a lekku back casually as she raised one eyebrow... this was starting to get interesting! But how could she be sure the spy wasn't trying to play her? She didn't read thoughts like the others, after all... and yet, neither did he... "I'm a smuggler." she admitted. "Secrets are my trade. What have you got?"

Let's get out of here.Elyria reached out and took Zara'a hand...expecting the girl to pull it away in an instant..speaking softly... Zara, we hide not in our Temple...we hide here...among the people...fighting our fight the best way we know how...and yes we fight in secret...as we must...the Emperor will not rest until we all are gone...what good are we to anyone then? We may not have been there four years ago...but we are here now...if you would give us a chance...we can show you a richness beyond that of the Emperor's wealth...a beauty greater that the stars in the sky...we can show you what it is to free a people...the smiles as they join with their loved ones...we can give you the peace the light force brings...so much greater than the pain and anger the Dark Force lends...the choice is yours Zara...

This all sounded wonderful, and indeed, Corvin had experienced some of it himself recently, but he still had a few rough edges that needed smoothing out. "And before you roll your eyes and dismiss that as some kind of idealism or propaganda..." he said, making no efforts to speak softly himself, "Consider what the Empire has already done to us. There is so much pain in our galaxy, and so few left who can fight it. We can't be everywhere... and we can't save everyone. Yet." Here his voice lowered, and his eyes showed the dangerous glint of a man who lived on the run most of his life, and who could have once been swayed to the dark side very easily had the Force waited any longer to guide him to Elyria as he said with morbid understanding, "Trust me."With that he rose, the leaned down to pull the assassin's arm over his shoulder and lift her to her feet like an inebriated friend. It was clear that he was eager to leave as he looked between Zara and Elyria for an indication of what was to come next.

Nal Hutta - CantinaZara did pull her hand away almost instantly, more as a reflexive action than anything else. Yet she still stared at the woman's outstretched hand, for a strange moment reminded of the not so distant past, of another hand that had been offered to her, the hand of a Sith Lord... She was disinterested in most of the things that the Je'daii master spoke of, but the thought of becoming more powerful, of learning the side of the Force that the Sith would never teach her did interest her. She remembered that it was the woman in front of her who had bested the Emperor in combat, and for that she had Zara's respect. I will not lie when I tell you that I would like you to show me how it is that a Je'daii could defeat the Emperor on the battleground, Master Stone. But when she heard the male's voice, Zara shook her head slowly. If only it were that simple. She turned her head to project her thoughts to him. I have not trusted another since I lived in The Works. It is the reason I am still alive. You of all people should understand. She then turned back to master Stone, directing her thoughts to her now. All of you speak of trust, and yet you have already made it quite clear what you think of me and Dawson. You wish to separate us, meaning either you don't trust us, or you want to get me alone for interrogation, torture, or whatever it is you would like to do to someone who represents the enemy. For now I shall give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it is the former, but if I go with you, he is coming too. I am, as he said, part of his crew, and I will remain with him on his ship.

Epoch WrenCedric chuckled. "I figured you weren't the type to pass up a good secret," he said. But his face grew solemn as he looked the woman straight in the eye. "You will not repeat this to anyone, especially not the Je'daii."If the girl knew that he was onto her... Ced didn't actually know what she would do, but he didn't want to find out. "Not much physical resemblance... she had always been the spitting image of her mother. But if you look closely at my eyes, you may see someone you recognize."He paused for a moment, wondering if he should reveal anything further other than the fact that they were related. "She's actually older than me; funny how genetics work. This is crazy... why am I telling you all this?" he muttered that last part while shaking his head, then continued. "She ran away when I was fourteen and I don't remember much about her, but I knew she was different from the rest of us... so different that her own mother was afraid of her. But even back then, she may have been 'troubled' but she was nothing like what she--"His voice cracked and he covered his eyes with a hand for a moment. Shaking his head, he looked back up at the Twi'lek woman. "Something happened to her, Dee. I don't know what it was. There is nothing left of the girl I used to know, and any sane person would turn around and stay away from her. But I can't just keep pretending she's dead like the rest of our family thinks. Not after seeing her like this. I... guess I just want to make sure that she's safe. Perhaps you feel the same way about someone?" he asked, giving her a knowing smile.
