"Freinds don't share everything," Porter answered calming down a bit, "I know you are on good relations with some of the other students, but please keep in mind that I am not a student. My first responsibility is to the Institute and its students. It isn't that I see you as an enemy, it's that I see you as an unknown."

"It's not because you don't share everything with me but rather that you see me exactly as you just told me. I'm an unknown factor. Quite a military view but you are devoted and faithful."
Freya lowered her head. Her mask started to crack and she was afraid. She didn't want him to see her real face, her real her. She looked up but she set her gaze on her right side, as if something more interesting was going on there.
"I didn't mean to hurt you or insult those you care about. Even if you might not believe it, I have your best interests in mind. All of you. Well... Maybe not Pietro but that's another story," she said with her usual attitude. "Go back to her. That's what you really want don't you? Do not worry about me. You won't see me again."
She walked away, ignoring the rain. With a long sighed, she finally allowed herself to show her real emotions.

Pietro slumped down next to Wanda. "Constantine..." he said aimlessly. "I know I'm supposed to be your slave and all, but this is torture... Keanustine is one of the worst comic book abortions to film ever! Not that I read much comics or anything but... well... you know... ******** Keanu is NOT John Constantine the Hellblazer. He's not even ******** British! Except for his role in Dracula but that was just ******** hillarious. 'Like, I do say sir... how do you like, bloody do?' It's ******** insulting I say! We shouldn't stand for it!"
One hex bolt later, Pietro came back from being launched across the room, dusting himself off as he humbly sat back down next to his sister. He sighed and resigned himself to his fate. "Well... I guess it's not that bad..." he muttered as he noticed Wanda's celebrity crush.
He turned to Morgan and, before the forcefield boy had time to react, did all his chores for him and presented a bowl of popcorn to Wanda. Pietro had also gotten them a few beers, and even a small box of the chocolates he remembered Wanda liking from childhood. For a moment he wondered if they might be able to make some impromptu fondu with melted chocolate and popcorn, but the sheer tackiness of the idea would probably bring the extreme ire of their new valley girl member. She actually made Pietro look humble...

Oh, great, and now she had to deal with Butch on her hands. "Bad attitude. Right. This coming from Queen of the Goths, Mistress of the Bad Poetry and Black wardrobe. Super. Now, if you'll excuse me I've got to go get lung cancer instead of having such a lovely chit chat." And of course, her trusty pack of Marbolos were tucked away neatly into the side pocket of her Gucci handbag. The white and gold one, which was upstairs, at the end off the hall, in the room farthest from everyone else. Courtney knew she had done the right thing by choosing that room.
Her mind was reeling as she blew off whatever Wanda or the rest of the group had said after her comment. Corky really didn't care any more. She wanted to leave, but she didn't want to party. The only thing she could think of to do to calm her down was to use her Master card. Thank God for on-line shopping and her Viao.

Sonya watched in amazement as Penny displayed excellent swordsmanship. "She's so cool," said Sonya, "and will be a worthy challenge."
While the battle was going on, Sonya unsheathed her dragon handle katanna, and warmed up with her eight strikes.
Meanwhile, Sasha was in the bathroom, splashing water on her face. I'm just tired, that's all, none of its real, she told herself. She walked downstairs, and almost passed the room where Wanda and Pietro were, when she saw Keanu Reaves on the screen.
"Whoa, Constantine," she said joyfully, hopping down at the end of the couch by Pietro. "An exceptional and gorgeous actor," leaning close to Pietro, seeing how he was bored with the film.

He watched Sonya work with the sword. He was impressed, he was no expert...heck he wasn't even a novice but she looked really good with that. "You are good with that." He looked a little closer at her sword. "And that is a very nice sword..."

He let Freya go. He felt like an a** for about ten seconds but mostly just didn't know how to take her. In one breathe she acted like a super vixen. In the next she was a super intellect philosopher would would probably give the great minds of the day a run for their money. It didn't matter. She was a wildcard to him. He needed more information on her before he could trust her.
Drying off from the rain he went into the X-Men's beach house and wrapped his arms around Regina as soon as he could find her. Now this felt right.
---------------
"Jamie, you rogue. You've been practicing without me," She teased having to stop for breath herself. The entire time, though, she had to take it easy and watch what moves she made. Their blades were sharp and Penny wouldn't risk seriously injuring somebody while not using the practice blades. It didn't matter to her if she took a nick or cut but that was for obvious reasons. Her body would make it go away.
"It's okay, I expect you to beat me one day or I haven't taught you well enough," She moved to the attack making sure to avoid injury. She had yet to beat Wolverine, her teacher. That would be coming. She felt she was almost ready to take him on again. She also expected Jamie to defeat her in battle when the time came. Penance was good but not infallible. She already thought of ten different ways Jamie could beat her with or without powers. But she was the logician of the team generally and not everybody thought like her.
"Sonya, how long have you trained?" She was curious as she didn't know anything about this new student and talked while pushing Jamie back with a push of her strength, "You will probably be on Porter's training team at the Institute since uh... he doesn't have one anymore. If you want to learn to shoot, he's an excellent marksman."

Jamie dug his feet into the sand as he was pushed back. It had already occured to him that he could probably beat Penny with the use of his powers, but he felt like that would be cheating. He'd have no problem using his powers in a fight against someone who he needed to beat to survive, but he wasn't willing to throw his honor out the window. In a fair fight, he would fight fairly. In an unfair fight, if he was attacked by more than one person, or the person had some unfair advantage, he had no problem shifting the tides a bit.
He looked at Penny for a moment, parrying her blows, but he knew it would end soon. He was wearing out, and in a fight like this, where they were fairly evenly matched, even if it was only because Penny was holding back, Jamie knew conditioning was often the deciding factor. He blinked some sweat out of his eyes while closely dodging a swipe from Penny, and when he saw her bring her sleeve up to wipe her face, he slashed in towards her stomach. She managed to block the blow with enough force that he stumbled, and she brought the hilt of her sword into the middle of his back, so he dropped to the ground. He rolled over, and saw the tip of her sword hovering in front of his neck.
He smiled up at her. "That's it then." He said, and accepted her help standing up. "Thank you." He said with a grin. "Let's do that again sometime."

"Constantine is a piece of..." Pietro began, before noticing more of Wanda's irritation. "I mean... it's a cinematic... experiment... that um... loosely... very loosely... based on a really great comic... not that I read comics or anything... dammit.." he muttered.
He crossed his legs and began to sip his beer, afraid that this Sasha girl's appearance would, yet again, screw up his plan to try and smooth things over with his sister... hopefully she wouldn't be too much of a pest.

Wanda didn't care about much Courtney. She thanked mentally Freya for taking her in since the little brat was not part of their group. She grinned at Sasha when she commented Keanu Reeve and just when she started to enjoy the movie, she saw a little faery crossed the room and vanished. Without a word, she stood up and went outside where she found Freya outside, under the rain.
She ran to her. "Freya? Is something the matter?" she asked with a worried tone.
"Wanda..." The blond slowly put her hands on Wanda's arms and rested her forehead on her neckbone. "I want to go home," she finally said in a sorrowful voice.
What? Is... Is she crying? "Freya did someone hurt you? Tell me who and he'll regret it!"
But Freya only shook her head and repeated that she wanted to go home. The goth didn't know what to do. "Look... It's raining. Why don't you get inside and rest?"
"Please... I want to go home. Just that... Can you...get my things at the x-men house? I don't have the heart to go back there."
"Oh I see... It's because of that guy. Why didn't kick him in the balls? That's more like your style than this."
She heard a weak chuckle. At least, she's not crying anymore. "Go inside and watch the movie instead of me. I'll get your stuff."
"Thanks... I have enough strenght to call Windy and have a quick ride home," Freya told her with a sad smile.
"You don't have to pretend. It's ok to have other emotions than happiness."
On that, Wanda walked to the x-men beach house and knocked on the door while Freya slowly entered the brotherhood beach house. The rain made her tears invisible to them so she looked more tired than anything else. Her gaze stopped on the tv. "Oh! Keanu Reeves!" She jumped on the coach, just next to Pietro.

Sonya blushed at Markus' comment. "Oh... oh thank you," she said, "I got this sword from my master. It means a lot to me, because not only was it a gift for beating him, but he was also like a father to me. My dad left me at an early age, so my Master took me in as if I was one of his children."
She then heard Penny. "Oh, I've been training for 11 years," she said, "I started when I was six." She continued to warm up, and then noticing that Jamie had lost, was ready to challenge her next.
Sasha smiled, knowing that this was one of Pietro's lame attempts to please his sister. She was surprised when Wanda left for unknown reasons. She then looked at Pietro. "If you ever get bored, you can come play with me," she whispered to him, kissing his cheek. She got up, and went outside, watching the katana fight. She noticed Markus over by Sonya, and walked over to him. "So... have you asked her out yet?" she asked.

"Thats very nice...." He nodded and looked at Sasha when she aproached him. "Asked her out?" He gave her a somewhat blank look before reilization set in. "Oh, no I hardly know her..." That and relationships of any kind made him somewhat leary.

ooc: joint post, *hits snooze button nad goes back to dreams*
IC:
Porter wrapped his arms around Regina as she was cooking and kissed her on the neck. This was right, this was the way it was to be, "Hey, I'm back."
"Hey, I know you're back." Regina said with a laugh, smiling. "You got me drenched when you came back last night out of the rain... hugging me like that."
"Ah well, no telling how many beers you guys have had and how much you remember," He stole something off the counter that she was cooking, "Reg, how good of a friend is Freya to you? Do you know anything about her?"
"I don't know much about freya... She just kinda appears half the time and I try to be the better person and let her and wanda stay if they need it." she answered, looking at him. "Why? What happened?"
He leaned against the counter, "Nothing really... she just seems like she's up to something, and I don't know enough about her to make a judgement call whether to be concerned or not."
"I'm not sure what to tell you." Regina watched him and stuck some of the hamburgers back to a cooler part of the grill. "She's... an enigma. That's for sure."
"I guess I will ignore it for now," He didn't like saying that but figured it would be best at least he started to understand his own motivations, "I did have the feeling she was either hitting on me or buttering me up for information... probably more of the later. I don't think I am participating in a slave match again."
"Well if you're that keen on being someone's slave...." she said with a playful grin. "More than happy to oblidge being the master."
"Heh, I said I don't want to do that again... but for you..." He thought about that for a second, "I would do it."
Regina laughed, relief flooding through her. "I probalby wouldn't do something like that to you. I'm new to this whole thing remember so you're more the leader."
"There's nothing here about being a leader," He skooted over towards her and pulled her close to him kissing her, "It's about going with your feelings, your gut, or your heart. Whichever you follow."
"I like to go on feelings lately..." Regina answered, leaning into him.
"Then don't hold back little lady. I know there's more to you than you let me see," he went to kiss her again but one of the students walked through the kitchen which was probably a good thing. She was rather intoxicating to him and he couldn't help but start to pick up her emotions.
"One day..." she said with a soft laugh and pushed him back to get some things from the fridge. "You'll see just what's in my head as far as this goes, and you'll wonder how i make it through the day."
"God I need a cold shower, Regina," He stole a beer out of the refidgerator before she shut the door, "You're making me crazy."
"You should fix that." Regina grinned, winking at him. "For now I've got to get the food ready, and you need to finish off the grilled chicken out there, put some pineapple slices on top to make it even better."
"Yes, ma'am," He walked out the door with the pineapple she just about threw in his hands. When he walked out onto the patio to flip the chicken on the grill and finish it off how she wanted. For a moment he thought about how he wished they didn't have to leave the beach and somewhat that they could just be normal twenty somethings without the weight of the world on their shoulders when they went home. Oh well, in a perfect world. He watched her through the patio window. She was, to him, absolutely perfect.

OOC: Taiya, can you put that in her bio? There's nothing about it in there. I tend to rely on bios when writing plots to know the people on the team and what their abilities are. Her bio right now as it stands doesn't reflect any of that training i believe.
IC:
"Interesting," Penny said wanting to get ahold of that girls file when she got home, "I wouldn't have taken you for a fighter of any type. But that's just my miscalculation."
She helped Jamie back onto his feet and gave a wink to him. Jamie was one of her favorite teammates to spar with. He was like a brother to her so it made things all that more fun, "Just name and place, Jamie. I'll show up."
Penny wiped the sweat from her brow, made sure one of Jamie's cuts on her arm healed up, and looked over at Sonya, "Want a go? The car offer applies to you as well."
"Mmm... chicken," Penny said smelling what Porter had just put on the grill.

Wanda stood in front of the x-men beach house and studied it. She didn't feel like passing through the front door. Besides, knowing her, she would just blast the door open and squished someone behind it. I'm not in the mood to explain those jokes why I'm coming. she thought.
When she sneaked behind the house, she wondered why the hell she was doing this again. Why am I the one stuck with this kind of job? When she remembered Freya's sad voice, she knew why she was there: to help the one who helped her.
The operation wasn't hard. She made stairs out of the sand, entered the house from the second floor, found Freya's room, got her things and escaped. It wasn't very hard since the x-men were too busy having fun to hear anything.
Back in the brotherhood house, she saw her movie on pause and Freya telling her drama to Pietro and the rest of the brotherhood members.
"He didn't want to become my friend because I was too secretive," said the blond with drama in her voice.
"There, there... Don't cry," said Toad. "I can always spit on him next time I see him."
"That's no nice of you, Toad. But it's ok. He was just not the man I thought he was."
"A jerk! That's for sure!" replied Lance.
"Wait a minute," suddenly said Wanda. "You mean I went back there to get your stuff because you were sad Porter didn't become your friend?"
"Well... Yes. He was so mean and aggressive. No matter how much I apologize, he was still rude."
Wanda was about to hex Freya when she saw the image of Keanu Reeves. If she started a fight, she might destroy the tv and won't be able to watch the movie. A terrible dilenma started in her head. Keanu Reeves. Freya. Keanu Reeves. Freya. Keanu Reeves...
"Damn that pretty boy," the Scarlet Witch finally muttered as she threw herself on an available seat on the coach. "Pietro, you open your mouth just ONCE to critize this movie, I'm sending you to Mars."
