I do stick fights too. I make whoever im doing it with find their own because I test mine to make sure they are strong enough then I always go for pure power in my attacks and try to break their stick to end the fight.
The people I do it with don't allow intentional sundering of weapons (sundering! Ha! /nerd). I don't either, as I use dowels that I've bought. They're more reliable than just random sticks I find for the most part, and they are often longer and thicker. I've been told I use a stick like a longsword, often in one hand, sometimes in two. I may be the largest of our fighting group, but I'm the least power-oriented.
eek I try to avoid attacks and get in attacks when those showy people try to do a spin attack or power swing.
