Hey SJL, I've wanted to ask you something for a while now. Since you're a genius when it comes to music, I was wondering what genre of rock would you consider The Strokes, they're my favorite band...but I don't know what to label them as.

I'd label them as Indie-Pop or just plain Pop (SHORT FOR POPULAR MUSIC.) I don't know what else to label them since their music sounds emulated by bands such as The Hives, The Vines, The White Stripes and etc. I do like them for putting Guided By Voices in one of their music videos. Though I SERIOUSLY prefer Mr. Bungle to Guided.Bands you should check out; Muse !!! Minus the Bear Of Montreal Sufjan Stevens Interpol Saybia My Morning Jacket Snow Patrol EDIT: Also, listen to Sunny Day Real Estate. Gotta listen to the masters.
