I thought I'd sit in my hideout surrounded by rats and remember that my parents are dead and will probably be rising from the grave to torment me any time now.

My plans are up in the air right now. Most likely, it will just be me, the kids and maybe Rose at home in the Valley.

Hartley Rathaway I thought I'd sit in my hideout surrounded by rats and remember that my parents are dead and will probably be rising from the grave to torment me any time now. You know what you are right this Christmas is going to be terrible. Not only am I dead, but my entire family was killed by aliens not too long ago. I'll have no one to spend it with.

You know Jean, only in the Nexus could the sentence you just spoke make any kind of logical sense.

Oh and I forgot about my daughter from an alternate time line. I would spend it with her, but I'm pretty sure she is in space with the aforementioned aliens.
*thinks about what she said*
You're right Piper, the Nexus is an odd place. Or maybe it's just us. We heroes and villains live sorted lives

If "sorted" means "sucky," I'll agree with you. I wonder what color on the "emotional spectrum" crippling depression is.

Behold, the Gray Lantern! With my power of creating constructs that remind you of the fact that your loved ones are deaaaaaaad...
::waves his hands around in an 'oooh, spooky' way::
Your inability to get out of bed in the morning powers up my magical battery with indifference and salty tears!

Hartley Rathaway Not expecting the big fur rug home for the holidays? Not really. Or rather, I'm just trying to plan realistically instead of with my heart. It's kind of a sore spot with the kids... and me too, to be honest

Well...at least it's festive in here, I guess...and there's a distinct lack of horrifying soulless penguin obelisks.

True... Although it's kind of "over the top" with the decorating in BOTH stores.
::looks to the ice rink:: One of these days, I'm going to find some skates and try that out. It's literally been centuries since I have skated. I'd probably do spectacularly bad..

I know *how* to skate, but I only do it in self-defense.
One of the Flash's other Rogues has sort of an ice-slash-cold theme going on.
