Better endgame, for one. It's hard to really build up your skills when you're so much stronger than all of the enemies. o.O And more uniqueness among the townsfolk; a few really stick out (again, Pandora), but most of them aren't half as good as Rune Factory usually does. Tides of Destiny is pretty much "Rune Factory Lite", more for casual play than anything else.

I have tekken tag 2 for the Xbox, DoA5 for the Xbox, played Virtua Fighter 5 for the xbox, I own the first two blazblues for the xbox, I own one of the older Guilty Gear XX for the Xbox as well as Guilty Gear 2, and I have played a good amount of P4 Arena for the Xbox, as well as Skullgirls for the Xbox, Anarchy Reigns for the Xbox and Brawl,

I don't mind being much stronger than everything else.
So, am I getting a lesser Rune Factory game by getting Oceans?
@Z: Anarchy Reigns counts as a fighter?

Well, it has less enduring play value, since combat is half the game and you're pretty much unstoppable once you've beaten the Colosseum... ^^ I would say it's a bit lesser, yeah, but it's still fun.

Well, more like make Mad World Multiplayer. With short combos.
and requires internet to get the maximum value of multiplayer.
But it is fun, of course.

I guess. I'd use the term brawler for fighting games of that particular style.

Well, Tides of Destiny also has Pandora. She's worth playing the game for all by herself. XD
Basically, if you really want the farming/fighting stuff, get a portable version. If you want the essence of the experience and the single best character in the entire franchise, get Tides of Destiny.

Basically, Pandora's a demon lord bent on taking over the world. o wo She does have her soft side, of course, but she's very useful overall... doesn't hurt that she's pretty cute, either.
