i know a british star trek fan...
the only reason i haven't slaughtered him is because he likes Gundam, too.
now where was that list of reasons that SW is better than trek?
i think one was "Kirk slows down in an asteroid field. Han Solo floors it."
another: "SW guns were made from old WWII rifles. Star Trek guns were made from dustbusters."
Theres nothing wrong with Star Trek. Its just not meant for action though.
However, I haven't met one person who has seen the movie First Encounter (ST movie) and enjoyed the first part...

Its just that ST is more militaristic than SW... Oddly. Pilots aren't disobeying their superior officers (as often), nobody is really any better due to force powers or special gunbattling... Its just more about puzzles (not really) and the stories of one crew, not waging war, just exploring...
Of course, nothing beats a holodeck episode... especially when the holodeck gets out of the holodeck to take over the holodeck that the holodeck tried to break out of in the first place, only to find they are in the holodeck....
