"Target sighted."

It was all Tade said as he was leaning against the wall of a building as he saw Laz walk by down the street. He waited a moment before he pushed off of it and began to follow him, a long object wrapped in a cloth carrying case resting on his shouders.

How many people were on this street? A busy street, like in a downtown area... many footsteps, many people. Lazenca, looking at a sheet of torn paper, wasn't in the mind to look all around and behind him. But it was his attentive nature that him look to the sides when met with a corner, look up often, and keep his ears open for odd step patterns.

Because he didn't want to be run over by a pickpocket (who'd quickly find out that they wasted their time with him), a runner, or a rude bicyclist. The bike thing happened before, and he ripped off the spokes for the guy's running into him, then trying to pick a fight and not just apologizing as Lazenca was doing.

But a guy who'd waited and then followed wasn't noticed. Just another guy on the street who'd gotten tired of waiting and wanted to start walking, is what he was.

He used his tounge to push the jerky to the other side of his mouth. A little play.. moving it around, sucking the juices, placing it between a certain pair of teeth... and then he went back to chewing idly.

"These jobs suck...."

"Lazenca Miranda, I presume." Tade said as he came up behind the man. He himself was not exactly large, hell, he was more or less just a boy at the age of seventeen. Tanned skin, dark hair, and deep green eyes, he was hardly one to stand out in a crowd as he wore very simple clothing. This was the man he was looking for wasnt it?

Lazenca turned around looking at the young man with questioning eyes.

"I'll take that as a 'yes'." the boy said, "I've been looking around for a good fight, and so far, I havent seen any respectable person in such a place such as Leviathan Stadium. Odd though, as I would have imagined that at least someone would have been in the area worth fighting. Anyways, I'll get to the point. I request a fight." It was as simple as that, even after the boy went on rambling in his own thoughts for a bit.

"Are you serious? We're in the middle of a crowded street."

One would suppose that Lazenca shoud've been happy that he was asked to spar with someone out of the blue, based on reputation and not a need to have his head on a platter. But he was chewing jerky which was actually as close to eating as he was going to get and that made him a little irritable. But anyway!

"Find a place that doesn't have us surrounded by pedestrians and fine. Conditions?"

He pointed up to the northeast, up the hill. Leviathan Stadium.

"That is where I will make a name for myself... except I have to register first." Tade quickly added in as he just remembered. As for the second part of Laz's question, his terms were very simple, "Weapons." it was really all he had aside from his athleticism, being a human and all, no fancy abilities.

"I'll meet you there." He quickly said as he ran off in that direction first. He didnt want to have the man wait for him to register before their fight, so he decided to go off and do that first, see him later.

Being a marathoner-for-fun, he'd probably get there at the same time or before the guy.

He was supposed to be going all around the world, and was pretty much stuck in Latent. Heck... with all this time, he may as well try to go see Twitch, Lania, and his kids again before heading out.

Sylph Soul

-Northern Gate-
The wind would pick up and a being would materialize where the air seemed unusually dense. His lower body would materilize and then his pants and shoes, both black, as well as his Katana and it's holster and then his upper body was next. Each layer of flesh would materilize showing descently thick muscles that were contracted to a powerful point. Then his black shirt would materiliaze as it ruffled with the wind as wel as his other weapons the claws he wore on each well colored hand.. Sylph's Head would materialize attached lastly with the ever shifting eyes, black hair nad dark features.

The man was heading towards the north gate into the town of latent. Afterall this would be his first time here so he figured he would enjoy himself as he began to study the area around the north gate. He would come upon the north gate and eventually let himself into town. That would have been his entrance into the town.

Evan casually cut the engines on his bike as he stopped in front of the body shop. This place did pretty good work on motorcycles as well as cars, and he had the cash to pay for it. So then, he made his way into the garage, looking for the proprieter.

I don't much like whoever siced those zombies on me, but it's best to forget the incident for now. Remember the man's face, but forget the fight. Smple enough, really.

As soon as he resolved to do that, he figured he'd hang out in town for a bit before heading back to Durem. See if the work on the docks was done yet.

"I'll be back in two hours. Make sure everything's good to go by then."

With that, he began wandering.

So we kick, push, kick, push.

Siat rolled through town on a skateboard, though this was his first time. He was also eager for someone to speak to.

"Come one come all!" A voice boomed through a square in the city.

The flow of human traffic was beggining to clot around a makeshift staging, and the man dancing around on it. On one hand this man had all the markings of an old school magician: Top hat, tux jacket, white gloves, nice shoes and some black dress pants. What was strange about him was every inch of his body was wrapped in some sort of bandage. The magician wore no shirt under the jacket, just tightly wrapped gauss with the hints of mussel. The top hat was perched atop a face where only a single strip was left open, most assumed it was to see but none could spot any eyes.

"See feats that will astound you," He certainly had a street performers booming voice, "And watch as my acts of daring do leave you breathless."

On that exclamation he threw gloved hands in the air, only to shower the crowd in a bouquet of roses from seemingly nowhere. Thornless of course.

"Late commers, you are not too late." He was working the crowd one last time before his finale, "Watch as I do the amazing. Using only my incredible powers of concentration to tear apart reality as we know it! I, the amazing magician I am, will tear apart... Without ever physically touching it... This full sized SUV!"

A part of the soapbox staging fell away to reveal a rather smart looking car, the only thing it was missing was a soccer mom.

"The environmentalists love me." He chuckled, buskers found jokes loosened wallets.

There was a bit of timid applause, and a couple of disgusted faces. Obviously if they had a car like that they would drive it, not decimate it. The rest just figured it was a trick, and the car would drive out from somewhere else soon enough.

Suspicions would be laid to rest very soon.

"Hah!" The strange magician threw bandaged arms up in the air, and let out an burst of free magical energy. Not enough to damage, but enough to rustle a person's hair. His arms crossed as he hunched over, dramatic especially considering the glow about him now. He shot up, made a few redundant "magical" gestures and the glow faded from him.

The SUV collapsed like someone had just undid ever bolt, ever weld, and every fastener. As a thousand parts hit the floor the crowd went wild. Most of them that is, a few just looked in horror.

"Thank you, you're all too kind." The magician took his hat in hand and took a bow. Like any modern entertainer he tossed the hat into the crowd as he straightened up. Someone would get a souvenir.

"Now," He snapped his fingers causing a light to shine under the scrap metal that was the SUV. Once the blinding light subsided the metal was no more, "Scrap is a wonderful resource, wouldn't want to waste it, right?"

"Anyway," He stalked around the stage like a predator, "Any act needs a grand finale, and how could I possibly top that? Well, I can't to be frank. My meagre abilities only allow me to manipulate things of that size. Though I can make most piles of scrap disappear. So, Latent, I propose that I will make a great deal of scrap disappear!"

He jumped into the air just as his entire stage exploded into a cloud of dust and splinters. Hiding under the staging this whole time as a glowing ritual circle, though instead of traditional runes the pattern was like the wiring of a circutboard. The magician once landed on this strange circle and once again threw his arms up in the air. Some of the crowd was intrigued, others began to back away slowly. Inside the circle you could see energy begin to flow towards the mummified magician, magic coursing through the pattern like electricity towards wire... You could even start to see a strange disturbance in the air, a ghost of an outline of something large.

Then there was a flash.

Then there was something large.

It was like a giant mechanical spider of sorts, a single body the size of a tank, and four two segmented legs, each segment being a good fifteen or seventeen feet. It certainly wasn't made to look pretty though, like some sort of industrial machine all in a polished brass-like metal. Gears, sprockets and engines laid out to see, only covered by panels in the most important area. The front of the "body" certainly looked insectoid though. Two red optical imput devices as well as mandible like mechanical arms, both devices mounted on a full mobile bulbous "head".
The most peculiar thing though was the body was perched on a cast iron sphere, about ten feet in diameter.

"Now fair audience! I'll return to finish the trick once a suitable amount of scrap metal piles up." The magician bowed but never straightened back up. Instead the clothing and bandages fell to a pile, on the ground.

With the last few arcs of summoning energy subsiding, the machine began to move forward, slowly, almost just so it could move off of that large metal ball. Then all the metal joints tensed, and the body moved towards the ground. With a burst of what appeared to be steam, the Longlegs machine pushed itself in the air... A chain trailing behind it.

With a thunk it landed on top of a building, and then it began to scuttle forward at great speed. Pointed tips of its legs digging into roof and stone, breaking glass, anything to get a grip and keep moving forward.

Why it was doing this became clear as the chain went taught. It was attached to that big iron wrecking ball you see, and said ball was now chasing after the Longlegs. Crushing cars, lamp posts and even walls as it bounced through the streets of Latent like a pinball.

Being very new to this place,it was so big and beautiful, she had never been there let alone see what this man was doing and his tricks.WQhere she came from she would be lucky to get food. She had to hunt it herself. This girl looked ragged as she had lived in the jungle or a plant like area for quite some time because she did once live there. A man who always waters his plants lived there as well, but what would she know, all she knew was how to survive.she had brown jagged hair and a slightly scuffed up face from fighting so much.she loved fighting. she shooke herself out of thought and still watched the man.she wondered if he would show her around. she didnt know much about how she got to this place.she thought she was on an island...she couldnt remember much, she just new she was looking different from everyone, like she was center of attention.getting as much attention as this...mysterious man..who could...make his gloves burst out with flowers...-she tilted her head at the rest of his tricks and she was estatic to find out how he did it.the orphaned looking girl walked as close as she could to the man that the crowd would let her and stared without a blink....

Sunstrike

Cro Dena drank his coffee against the market stand he maintained. Today had been a slow summers day, most people taking a break from the hot summer sunlight. This was bad for buisness...but good for being lazy.

His stall was set up to sell coffee beans, ground and whole, choclate covered, baking, you named it...if it had to do with the black caffinated death that people drank regularly, he had it. Not only did he have it, in fact, he lived for it.

His glasses drooped low on his long, vaugly aristocratic and deeply tanned skin and with a sigh he pushed them back up onto his face. For a moment there had been a glimmer of solid purple eyes, slit with gold, before the glint of the sun hid them behind indigo lenses.

Cro was just standing there, listening to a portable mp3 player and bobbing his head to the music, his strange cat ears poking out of the beanie he wore, along with some long bangs...

Ohh baby don't you know I suffer
Well oh baby can you hear me more
you caught me under false pretenses
How long before you let me go~

Then the building across from him was crushed, and his stand was ripped apart at the seams. He blinked for a moment, still holding his coffee cup.

Calmly he looked up the road at the retreating backside of a mechanical monstrosity and it's cargo...plus coffee beans now... and then back down at his cup, as if debating letting things go just to finish off what he'd been enjoying.

Shrugging, he took another long leisurely sip, even as screams of horror and anger echoed around him, and then put the cup down. Shouldering a strange, halbred looking weapon that glowed an eerie greenish blue, he took off after his lost stock, long tail streaming behind him.
