(is it too late for me to join in on the fun? i think i found something of use) *he holds in one paw a knife, and wears armor , all very light, and holds in the other paw a shield, made of a m atter, never before seen by the eyes of the living, titanium, the new ones would call it, the ones who had found the marvelous new treasure had quickly tossed it away, unable to carve the metal with conventional methods, he had found a heap of the stuff, and carved it , with the very fine power of some ph level 1 acids, he hoped this strong light armor, may help, in the event of failed nagotiations* (tell me if that is too powerfull, because i mind you that he is still a two foot tall kit....)

Snowfable

*Snow smiles up at Ces and enjoys the warmth of the sun on her cold face* Good morning, Ces. You can feel it, too? It goes away outside the valley. I'm surprised Fenris couldn't feel it. We've been outside the valley, taking care of something we thought we'd dug up by mistake. Now, I'm not so certain. There's a bad scent in the air... *Snow feels Ces observing her as she speaks, and tries to follow the little sounds of Ces moving* I'm not injured, just...blind. *grimaces and blushes a bit* I kind of overused my powers...this is the price for that. But the thing Fenris and I found is gone. Torn apart by the tides and purified by the ocean water.
*Snow looks grimly up at Ces* There are more. He...IT was the weakest of them. The longer I'm free of their influence, the more I can sense it. Finding this helped, too. *caresses the glaive staff with one hand* I can see more clearly than I ever have...my senses feel more.
*The shadowy blade of the glaive looks as though someone took a slice of the starry night sky and formed it into a weapon. The carvings on the hard, age-darkened staff seem to swirl and change, creating pictures and ideas it is best not to dwell upon. A sense of distant chill and subtle danger warns the curious away. It is a weapon best suited to those who see with the eyes of the spirit--not the eyes of the world. The Shadow Glaive is a weapon with the ability to unmake. To bring silence. To call the forces of spirit, mind and person away from the body, leaving an empty shell behind.*

((Muy awesome sword details! Sounds like we've got a darn tootin' sweet pair of weapons!))

Okay, let me summarize for a minute. The evil is centered on this valley, and the weakest of 'them' (meaning there are more... but how many more?) caused the over-extension of your abilities enough so that you have lost your eyesight. However, the staff you hold causes the extension of your other senses enough so that your sight is no longer limited to visual means. Interesting. Very interesting.
*a chill runs through Ces's body and she looks to the eastern sky, where dark clouds are forming that creep along the sky and begin to block out the sunshine that had been warming the valley. She, too, smells the bad scent in the air and knows that it will only get worse.*
When you were beyond the valley and looked back upon it, was there a way of knowing where the evil was centered? Is there someplace you believe we should start looking into this situation?

((totally schweet. weapons and abilities. twisted guess we should figure out more about what we're up against now.))

((awesome. Sounds like the perfect complement for your character. We're still working out the details, but this is going to be great. Glad to have you along for the ride. And nice to meet you by the way. I'm "Ces" - I am the unofficial leader of the clan, but we're all in this together if you know what I mean. Welcome to the clan.))

It feels as though "they" are outside the valley, for now. The Soul Eater attacked the trolls before he came after us. Because there are more like this *indicates her glaive* buried in the ruins under and around the valley. This is a Place of Power, and I guess the Old Ones thought it would be a safe place for their artifacts.
*Snow senses the water being drawn up into the dark clouds and frowns worriedly* I don't like not knowing what's next...and that storm is NOT natural.

*nods* When I first found this valley, I could tell that it was old, but had not been inhabited for a while. It would not surprise me if it were once very significant to the Old Ones. Though, when I was younger, I could not sense the power that circulated here. Part of me wishes that I could not now. It does make sense that many artifacts would be buried among the ruins.
You're right, Snow. That storm is not natural.
*Ces steps out of her den, stretching and shaking off old aches.*

*nods agreement* I stumbled on this completely by accident. I've always been able to feel the power in this place....up until recently it made me feel safe. But now it's been corrupted. *looks blindly up at the dark clouds* That storm is bringing something. One of "them", I think. Testing us.

*Ces looks up and sees Fenris. She grins at him and then looks over at Snow surrounded by her wolves. Looking over at the brewing storm, Ces nods to them and inclines her head tward the source, a silent question to investigate further.*

((Snow - if water is your element, looks like we're about to head into your territory. Got ideas?))

*Slowly opening one giant eye he returns from his long deep slumber. the lid closes again like a giant heavy shutter, then ponderously he levers his massive weight up on his two front legs. Sitting up now he Yawns and clacks his jaws shut before opening both of his eyes fully.* "Hello Everyone."

Weather magic is tricky. I could take the water away, but then it'd be all wind. Without the water to weigh it down, the wind would tear this valley apart. *Snow gnaws on her lower lip, thinking hard* A little rain will be good for us...so maybe we can just go to the source of the storm?

((I'm considering going back to my witchy ways and just having empathy, the wolves, the sheilds, a talent for water and a lot of spells.))

*nods and sets off twards the east at a cautious pace, keen to see the source.*

((whichever works. or all. no worries. I'm thinking I'll have an Insight look here pretty darn soon, so let me know what direction we should go... is this just one of say five elemental Old Ones or just one of many playing with water?))
