FoxyLove560 I've been playing clarinet in concert for 6 years now. I own an E11 Buffet, but I want an R12. I'm happy with what I've got, it beats playing on a used Bundy for 2 years and then having it die on you. I prefer playing 3rd part, I like the low harmony stuff. if you like the lower sound you should try the bass clarinet.....thats what i play..... im the only one at my school who does biggrin

Try moving your mouth farther from the reed, if it's too close to the ligature it may squeak alot, check your pads and make sure none are bad, make sure a finger isn't accidentally covering a hole, use a little more air, if your biting make sure to get out of habit, clean your instrument after every playing session, no matter how short because if the saliva gets dry in there it'll start making layers in your instrument covering valves and all. If that doesn't work i'm not sure what would help sweatdrop

I've been playing it for 4 years. Two years before I started Bass I was playing soprano. but still..BASS LINE RULES. *nods* but sadly...........I dont own my own bass and have to use the schools. It's an old beat up bundy with no stand thing....but I've rigged it using a neck strap so it's easier to play.

I belive that we clarinets should unite to make Flarinets with the flutes. Flutes and Clarinets are both awsome anyway you look at it.

Meloncholy Seraphim Hello, i've been playing my clarinet for about five years now and i'm looking for a new one. I like high rich pitch and I can only push out half of the third high octive sweatdrop Any suggestions on either a good clarinet or how to get that pesky octive out? i would probably try i bigger reed. they give a better quality sound and they can play higher notes. if you are playing the biggest reed, then try to bite down a little more or tighten your mouth more. make sure your jaw isnt dropped either. ive been playing clarinet for about 5 years now and i want to be a band director so i know what im talking about. that should do it.

Info on my Clarient: AI have a Vintage, Wooden, Signet - Soloist. I've also got another clarinet, of which i dislike playing. I use it when my other is broken. It's a Wooden, Jean Barre, made in France. It's in pretty poor condition, seeing as my step father left it in his storage thing for years. D< I need to get it cleaned up. Probably will have it cleaned up and get the corks fixed this summer or something. Depending on if I'm going to march clarinet or not. What brand and thickness of reed are you using? I use a 4 1/2 Mitchell Lurie Reed. o: It works pretty well, just takes a while to break in.
I'll express my love for you, in the key of Eb minor.
