*takes a bite of his dinner, chewing and swallowing before speaking.* OK love, I just wanted to be sure my tie is going to match with the bride's dress, is all. And it looks like the groomsmen's outfits have been decided now, so I'll just send out a text to everyone so they can go get fitted at H&R Wesley's before the big day gets here. As for the magazine interview, just go ahead and set up an appointment, and I'll work around it. *takes another healthy bite of his meatloaf* Are we still planning on going to New York for our honeymoon?

*Watches him eat calmly without a single concern in the world.* Yes…New York. *she then eyes him suspiciously and points her fork at him while she speaks.* So, you are going to make every single appointment I set up for you? EVERY ONE? You are going to just leave work and do it. *Watches him intently*

*Taking another bite, he then notices that she's totally stressed out with the whole ordeal. As he finishes chewing, he sets his fork down and picks up his glass to take a drink. After setting the glass down, he looks straight at her and very calmly speaks ...* Yes, I will be there. I just need to know in advance so that I can be sure to get the time off, if need be. *He pauses for a moment before speaking again.* You just seem a bit stressed at the moment. Is there anything I can do to help out more? neutral

I have been working on the wedding pretty much non-stops since September. There are still things we need to do together and you've been working so much I've hardly had the opportunity to speak with you about any of it. 40 days is not much time. We have to talk to the magazine, there is a small photo shoot, we have to see the Priest again, all the groomsmen need to know about their attire and I'm sure there are at least a dozen other things I have logged into my digital planner that I'm too tired to remember right now! stressed Is the Police Department so understaffed you can't even come home at night? *She motions for a to go container for her dinner and a waiter promptly brings one over and makes her her dinner is ready to take with her.*

*He motions the waiter to box the rest of his dinner to go as well* I am so sorry I haven't been there to help you out more, love. The dept. has been a bit understaffed lately, and the bad winter weather hasn't been helping either. And yes, I have been coming home every night, but unfortunately, I often have to leave before you wake. *sighs*
You have a wedding planner who is supposed to be helping out with the majority of this. If he is not doing the job you're paying him to do, then we need to do something about this right away. *pauses to take a drink*
Now, you just go ahead and set those appointments with the Priest and the magazine, and let me know so I can get the time off. As for the photo shoot, I'm sure the magazine will have photographers at the wedding, so there's really no need to worry about that.
*After paying for their dinner, he stands and goes over to pull her chair out for her and helps her with her coat. Taking the to-go bag with one hand, he offers his arm to her and walks her out to her car. After getting into their respective cars, he escorts her back to MW.*

As soon as Karrie drove up to Chatty Kathy's, Amy's jaw dropped and she gasped. She stared at it for a moment and then looked back at Karrie with wide eyes.
"Karrie... it's where we had our first date!!!"
She leaned over in her seat, cupped Karrie's face, and kissed him deeply and happily.

*returns Amy's kiss* I thought you'd like to come back here. Unfortunately, it's too cold to eat outside again. *grins and gets out of the car, going over to her side to open the door for her*

"It's okay!" Amy was nearly walking on clouds when she walked over to the entrance. She was having many pleasant flashbacks.
"All that you did that night... Karrie, it was incredible. And that was just our first date! I can't wait to see what you have planned for tonight."
But then she realized she was just assuming and she gasped. "Oh! No, not that I'm expecting anything really fancy! I know you've been really busy lately and it's been so cold outside, zapping energy..."

*is glad she's not expecting anything fancy tonight* sweatdrop Well, this is Valentine's dinner, but I have more planned for tomorrow before I go into work.
*escorts her inside, where they are led to a private corner booth. He waits to let her sit first*

Amy's eyes widened. "Even more for tomorrow? Wow... Karrie, thank you."
She grinned and then sat in the booth. She loved booths.
Everything looked very nice and elegant for Valentine's Day. "Oh I've missed this place."

Well, I couldn't let Valentine's day go by without doing anything for you. smile *sits across from her* I haven't been here for a while either. *looks up when the waiter comes by and orders a coke, since he's driving*

Amy grinned. "I really appreciate that, Karrie. I've never had a romantic Valentine's Day before."
She didn't want to get a mixed drink when Karrie had to stay away from alcohol, so she ordered an iced tea with lemon.
When the waiter was gone, she reached forward and lightly fingered the flowers in the center of the table. "I wonder if these are real."

*is surprised for a moment, then remembers that she said she hadn't stayed in one place long enough for a relationship before* Well, then I'm glad I get to give you your first.
*reaches across the table to hold her hand*
