azrael heard sojiro following behind the wolves and turned to him.
"yes sojiro, what is it? if this is about the feud between the forces of nature and thwe creators of all, i have known of our fate for some time. i will play my role when the time comes, but it has not yet arisen. no go warn the rest of the land, and i will tell the emporor that the battles he has awaited has come at last."
azrael leads the wolves on through the palace. they soon reached the throne room, and azrael told them to wait for him to return and usher them in. he stepped into the room and made the announcement
" attention, my honorable lord. a small wolf pack from the south has come and wishes to speak with you."
The emporor heard his loyal samurais words and responded
"ah yes, let them in, let them in. i have been expecting them for some time."

He said and left.

Tora sat down when she was told to wait for him to return. Her ears where pirked up on high alert, she even heard the emporor when he said that she could see him. Tora was on her feet as soon as she heard him. She requested to her pack that only two people accompany her.
Entered the grand hall and it took every ounce of will power she had not to look around in shock at how immence it was. When she approched the throne she did not kneel or bow, he was of equil rank to her and she was intent on leting him see that.
"Emporor of this grand kingdom!" She adressed him "I am Tora, Elder over the Isles of Pain. My pack has most recently won their freedom from the humans who reside on the isles, and I wish the same for my brothers and sisters on the mainland."

the emporor, old as he was, coyuld hear her request quite well and answered back.
" i understand your plea, but from what i have heard, many of the mainland wolves are wild, unruly creatures. from what i have known of them, they are not like the wolves of the southern isles, you do mind if i call them southern isles don't you? for isle of pain seems like such a harsh name. back to the task at hand, however, can you prove this knowledge incorrect? Tora thaught about it, She really hadent been on the mainland all that much so she assumed that her brothers and sisters on the mainland where just like her people. Only now had she discovered that they where mad like her people where untill only recently.
She looked the Emporor in the Eye as she said this. "No, I do not mind that you call my Isles the southern Isles. I rather like the name change anyways." She paused to look down at the floor with a smile, Her Isles would need a new name sooner or later. 'The southern Isles' is too vauge a name to keep forever.
"And no, I can't prove that my brothers are not mad here as well. I would only assume, like you would if they where human, that they where just as sane as you or I. Simply because they where overseas was no reson for me to think them mad.
But, should this be the case, that my brethren really are Mad ones then I wish to cure them... I will stay here for a time to find them and assure their sanity and a piece of land for their own."

*the emporor could see this female wolf was a very caring wolf. he could see she deserved the leadership she had. therefore he thought for some time and decided at last
"well, you seem to be quite capable of calming the rage of our mainland wolves. therefore i shall grant thee rights to a small portion of land in the southern parts of the swamps."
"you do not mind do you, azrael?" he asked, turning to the samurai
"no, i do not suppose that would be too bad, so long as they can behave themselves and keep the wilder wolves under control. in fact, i will grant free passage throughout my swamp to the civilized wolves."
"well it is settled then. if you will agree to this territory, wolf leader Tora, then it shall be done"

Tora smiled, She was really hopeing for a bit of land closer to her isles but beggers can't be chosers! The two who had accompanyed her into the hall where wagging their tails with happyness. although the rest of thier bodies appeared to be indefrent to the fact, they where happy that they did not have to fight for the land.
"Thank you!" She said, her eyes shineing with glee. "Now... If you will excuse me I have a lot of new buisness to attend to."
Tora turned to leave and began walking, her two escorts folowing in her wake. "Oh, It would be greatly apriciated if you could send any mad wolves to the swamps or my isles." And with that she left.
her escorts turned around and did a verry small bow, that could almost have been mistaken for a nod of respect, before they left. And those with verry sharp hearing might hear them mutter in unisen: "thanks again, sir."
once back outside Tora faced her pack.
"We're leaveing now! We have succured a bit of land to the south, Swamp land from what I was told. Those of you who wish to stay here with me untill I must go follow me, the rest of you are to return to the boat and back to the isles. Any problems arise wile I am away, feal free to contact me."
Some went south with Tora, others returned to the boat. Tora appointed a lycan she saw fit to take her place should any minor problems arise. Someone she could trust as far as she could throw, something she knew many humans would never say.

*azrael bowed to the emporor and escorted the wolves out of the palace. afterward he returned to the throne room, for the emporor still wished to speak with him
"my lord, i have returned. what was it you wished to speak with me about?"
"i set the wolves in the southern swamps for a reason. it is not wise to give land to the wolves so they run totally free. i want you to watch them, to make sure there is no uprising, at least til our mainland wolves are tamed down a little"
"yes, i assumed that was your plan, sire.
"you always were a thinker, knowing what othetrs are planning before they themselves know for sure. that is why you are the head samurai. "
azrael took his leave and headed out to the forest to help his friend.

((Hm...Well, I suppose for not RP'ing for several weeks, one would find themself nowhere...So I suppose I shall just have to start somewhere...))
The darkness...The nothingness...It consumes me all...Blanketting and devouring my body and soul; a true parasite...My breath escapes me...My sight evades me...My hearing abandons me...All senses of life have siezed...But now...Now I neither dead nor alive...I exist without existing...I am no longer mortal nor imortal...I am all, but nothingness...
My body still; my pulse weak and faint. I lay within the dirtied ground; blood and mud soaked deep within my clothing and flesh. My eyes stained blood-red; my head feeling as if it was just crushed. Sight was barely stable. All shook violently about; fluttering quickly by, yet I lay within the soils of the earth.
Slowly rising to my feet, I quickly fell back into the waters; unsure of where I am and how I came to be upon such a gloomy surrounding. Though a concern for my whereabouts was still present, it quickly left upon the thoughts of those who I had been searching for within my past.
"...Runa..." The faint word escaped my lips; forcing me to rise to my feet once more. My feet planted heavier unto the ground; I hunched over. My breathing was short and burstic--my limbs felt heavy and numb.
With death breathing down my neck, I knew I couldn't fall back down. I had to keep moving. I had to continue to press onward...for the sake of those I fought for...
"Runa..." That name shot from my mought once more; pressing me further and further. Making my steps quicken, as I leaned forward for momentum. I knew that this was my goal; this was my reason to be. I couldn't let go. I couldn't stop moving. I was...compelled...

Running...Running...Running...I continuously kept moving onward; pressing as if I was running for my life. Though it appeared nothing was at stake, I continued to barrel forward; sprinting throughout the shadows; blood quagulating upon my cold flesh.
"Cold...!" I muttered braskly; almost undesiferable(sp?) to even my ears. "Cold..." My skin was pail and clammy. The pulse flowing throughout me had almost completely stopped. Even the air that passed throughout my lungs has nearly come to a complete halt. Yet none of this mattered to me. None of this was any of my concern. All that I cared for was to see those that I have left behind. Those that were locked away within my mind; the ones I once swore to watch over and protect.
As I darted into the moonlit streets, people noisily bustled about; going about their own business. Though my mind was typically a blank, I still knew I was within the city I was originated from. The cursed and diseased-ridden streets with urchins around every corner. A filthy and vile place to even step foot it.
Staggering about, I made my way back within shadows of a nearby alleyway. Virtually unseen by anyone, I continued to creep onward; following a familiar yet faint scent within the air. It was almost hypnotyzing--so alluring and tantilizing. I needed to find out what the source of it was.
Without hesitation, I began to spring; charging throughout the busy streets; knocking down anyone who got within my way. Gangs. Children. Law officers. It mattered not. I only cared to follow the scent that lay before me. But before I could get any further, I collapsed. My body suddenly shut down; all functions within my body siezed. Nothing was active. All was lifeless and still. My body had finally gave in.
((Don't worry, I'm not done yet))

((Heh. Don't worry, anyone. This isn't how I actually feel. Remember, just RP-ing))
Laying there in the darkness of the city; crowds began to swarm around me. Unsure of what to do, others began to just mind their business--going one about with their prior occupance. Others checked for valuables upon my person. And some even laughed upon my lifeless corpse.
Though the air in my lungs was gone. And the blood pumping throughout my veins had siezed. And my heard had finally caved-in...I heard every word and saw all the actions the spectators displayed. Their mocking and teasing. Their darkness and sinister ways. The hatred that truly flowed throughout their souls.
Was this what I wsa truly protecting? Were the humans of this world all like this? Could it be that they were all lying to each other; pretending to care!?
No! I needed to know. I needed to find the truth; the people who I surrounded myself with. I needed to know if they were lying to me; if they honestly wanted me gone. I needed to know. But my body...My body...

"What a pathetic creature! Good riddens!!"
"Does he have anything on him!? A wallet!? No!?! Damn it!"
"How do demons allow themselves to amount to nothing?"
"Someone should remove him before he begins to smell...It's definately bad for this poor man's business."
Their voices...they echo throughout my mind; ringing loudly in my head. I heard ever word and absorbed it like a sponge. I wanted to strike out; kill each and every one of them. To consume their flesh and drink their blood; I wanted vengeance!!
But I couldn't. I couldn't move. I couldn't see. I couldn't speak. That is...for what I believed...
"Come on...Let's move this piece of sh*t before he begins to stink..." A traveller walked up to my corpse; craddling me under my arms. "Will someone help me with this!?"
"Yeah, yeah...Whatever..." A bandit then stepped forth; grasping my ankles. "Holy sh*t! Are you sure this guy just died!? He reaks!!"
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Replied the other man; disgust upon his face. "Come on; the sooner we throw this crap in the alley; the better."
As the continued to walk my body towards the corpse, I heard a voice call out to me. Distant at first; it grew louder and stronger. It began to shout out to me; guiding me almost. Yet every time I tried to approach it, it fled from me; just escaping my grasp.
Every time I reached out to this becon, I felt the frustration and angst build inside me. The constant teasing of others began to flood my mind; reminding me of all the descrimination I had to put up with. The constant abuse and laughter of others. the hatred and ignorance. I couldn't take it. I had to break free. I had to break free!!
"I NEED TO BREAK FREE!!!!!!!!!!!"
Suddenly, my body sprung back to life; eyes glowing a bloody red. Instantly, the two men dropped me in uncontrollable fear as they staggered backwards.
Immediately, I scurried to my feet; claws and fangs protruding. Hunched over on all fours, I instantly lunged towards the bandit; tearing off his right arm with my jaws.
As the screams of pure agony and horror began to fill the air; I quickly began to consume it--bone and all. Within seconds, I devoured the man's arm. However, this still did not satsify my lust for more. I still needed substinance. I needed to live again. I needed...to feed...

((Skipping most of the graphic stuff for I do not feel like typing all the gore. Not that I'm disgusted by it. Just that I do not believe it is necisary to grose out everyone with horrific detail))
Bodies, blood, and entrails lay everywhere. The life of others; placed within my hollowed soul. Their flesh and bones digesting within my stomach. Sanity was finally regained.
"Grr...I suppose the bloodshed of others is needed...if I am to live..." My voice regaining its smooth texture; my pupils finally becoming visible once more. "...Besides...they are only humans...No need to cry over such insignificant deaths..."
Wiping the blood from my face, I began to head towards the city limits; no-one in sight. ((Don't worry; I didn't kill everyone in the city. I only killed those around me--probably about a dozen people. All else fled in terror)) The eerie and distilled air soothed my aching soul. Yet, still, my mind wracked me around.
"What is this scent...? Why am I so drawn to it...? Ah, yes...I now remember...The human, Runa...Yes, the one I vowed to love and protect...however, there is another scent within the air...Takara...Hm...Interesting...But this Runa...I must see her...I must meet her once more before I pass on...before I make up my mind..."
((Heading towards Uzume Shrine. Is it Uzume? Hell, I have no idea anymore...))

Sojiro walked through the city, brushing off sand as he came from the desert.
This was his last pit stop until he headed toward the main war grounds. The war of nippon was soon to begin.
Sojiro bought a few Shurikens and had his sword polished and sharpened. He bought enough food for a while and headed to the Inn.
By the time he finished his shower, he was completely tired.
Sleep enveloped him before his head hit the pillow.
When he awoke, the end would begin.
