(( eek Gabriel...he...you.....*gasp* whee ))
Opal waited patiently and silently as Gabriel tried to find his words. When he said he was frightened she hugged him tighter as if hoping that she could somehow take those fears away and carry them herself. His next words took her by so surprise that her emotions could almost actually be seen in those lifeless doll eyes. She lifted her head to look into his eyes.
"You don't have to apologize for anything," she replied her the obivious surprise in her voice. Not able to think of what else to do she kissed him-almost violently.
((*grins*....now I'll have to finish coloring my fanart image of Gabriel and -human- Opal with their.....*hehe*...baby.....*look away-finds sudden fascination at the window*))

Gabriel returned the kiss, pulling her close, surprised that he knew what to do without even thinking about it. the feeling was completely differnet to anything he'd known before. He hoped that when this was all done with he'd be able to come back to her and maybe - though he worried that the hope was in vain - maybe she could come to heaven and they could give her a proper body.
That wasn't his decision, though.
He pulled away and smiled a littel sadly.
"I have to go. Please take care of yourself"

((It was a happy fan-girl moment when I drew it...*shrugs* maybe they adopted... razz ))
"But...." she was about to argue will the last part of the phrase finishing in her mind. I'm your bodyguard.....
She knew it would be futile to argue with him here and now. Sadden when he pulled away but she too tried to put on a brave face.....not that she could do much with it.
Quickly trying to compose herself-as she felt others glancing their way. "Well....since you're not taking your bodyguard along-you better taken extra care of yourself," she replied with a hint of nervousness to her voice.

(weeel consideirng i'm a dork and seem to come up with all these angel characters, i ended up with a gay couple [Raphael & Chamuel] and I figured that since both have the appropriate genes a little bit of Godly intervention means they can have babies. So it's the same principle with gabriel and Opal methinks 3nodding hell, i've already invented up Adam's whole family when he's back with Eve -hehheh sweatdrop

Gabriel nodded. to be honest, as well as fearing for her safety, he didn't want opal to see him at his worst. he didn't kow how the battle with the demons would turn out like.
"I will do, don't worry."
he nodded and took to teha ir.
"we will meet up with you all soon. Adam, keep an eye on everyone please."
Adam nodded and walke dupto Opal to guide her away a little.
"Of course good luck."
Gabriel and the other angels flew off in one direction while Adam sighed.
"Ok.... well let's try find this relic. If we can get all of heaven open then tehre's no way we can loose." he frowned a little, the weight of hundreds of dying souls piling up against his senses. The demons were doin even more damage than expected and tehre were deaths elsewhere...the human evil was rising - more gang fights, murders, arguments. Thing were turning badly quickly. He began to worry about Gabriel inference ;was he one o the apocolyptical horsemen? Afetr all, he was essentially Death. That was a disturbing thought.

Opal waved good-bye to beloved Gabriel, even though it sadden her to a great degree, as he left. "Somebody has to worry about you..." she mumbled quietly to herself. "You better come back....."
She glanced briefly at Adam. Nodding silently and followed his gesture but glancing back at Gabriel before he was out of sight.
Forcing to place her thoughts elsewhere and focus on the task at hand she asked, "Where do we start looking?" Her fists clentched tightly together. "I'm ready to go," she then said with a strong determination. The sooner they found the relics the sooner Gabriel and everyone else would be.
"Adam?" she asked when she noticed that he seemed distracted.

Natasha stepped forwardsm trying to remember the relic names from teh conversation they had had what felt liek years ago - when they found teh book which outlined them.
"Hey, we have to get the apocolypse relics...right? um..." She strained to remember. "for lucifer it's stones from the tower of Babel...then for another it's water form the pool of first life..uh.. oh! For gabriel it's the dirt form the place of the first murder ever committed by humans and then...umm...gather from the site of Jesus' resuurection."
She grinned in accomplishment and then her face faultered.
"aw crap we were just at Jerusalem." She sighed, irritate dthat they didn't pick up the last thing while they were there.
"We can't be expected to remember them all." Adam said a little vaugely, still distracted. He then shook himself and looked at Opal. "Oh, I'm sorry. People are dying. A lot of people. Things are going badly."

Meanwhile, Gabriel arrived at the carnage of the battle. There were more demons than they ahd expected and teh angels clashed with them. the roar of battle sounded as the two opposing creatures clashed with one anoter ina bloody fight. There was also the thundeirng sound of helicopters as the human military had turned up, but seemed to be stunned by teh sight below. Gabriel galre dup at them. It was inevitable, but he'd hoped the humans could be kept out fo this. Then tehre was an explosion as some of the demons turned to attac teh humans.
"no!"
He gritted his teeth and flew over to try and pick out Micheal in the mass of writhing bodies. The scene was bringing back too many bad memories.

"Do you need to leave?" Opal asked. "To do your other job?"
She wasn't sure if she and Natasha could find the relics on their own. But then remembering Sin had joined them.....looking around Opal wonder where she had gone.
"Where did Lady Sin go?" she asked.
A rustle of a bush sounded followed by what sounded like laughter, but then it was gone. Opal suddenly felt like someone or something had been listening.....

Meanwhile.....
"Has anything changed?" Xion asked coldly to Dougal.
"The arch-angel, Gabriel, and the three lower ranked angels have left," Dougal replied from keeping track of their energies.
"Good," Xion replied. "That leaves Adam and the rest of the pathetic lot to track down the remaining relics. Keeping a close watch on them, but tell me should have leave to attend to other business."
"I.....," Dougal faltered with his attempt at riming his words. "Understood."
The laughter of a familiar creature sounded. Xion shot an angry glare, "Where have you-"
The Shade quickly made whimpering noises as if pleading for forgiveness. Then it quickly relaid the information it heard on some unknown way to its master. Xion smirked at the news. Finding some sort of material and writing utensil Xion quickly jot down the information of the location of the remaining relics and Dougal's current condition. "Take this to Beelio," Xion ordered as he gave the message to Dougal. "....and don't read it. My Shade shall accompany you to make sure you don't."
Dougal nodded in response. He soundly felt very uneasy.....more so when the Shade climbed onto his back.
"And you....," Xion said looking at the Shade, "...no draining his energy. I want the message delivered as quickly as possible." The Shade's head sunk down in submission. "GO!"
With that Dougal and the Shade hurried back to Hell.....

Adam sighed.
"I should, yes. The demons are snatching up souls quickly. More humans are tunring over to tehir evil sides shortly before their deaths now - it's the dmeon's plan to ensnare as many souls as possible. I should be able to take the current wave of deaths out in one or two moves, so I shouldn't be long."
at the mention of sin he looked around for the princess.
"Listen, I'm sure you can find at least one of the relics, if i'm right i belive I know where they are. I think that the tower of Babel was on this continent, near one of the Maya civilisations. I was created quite a while after first life was created, but gabriel always told us of the spot in Africa. Jesus is of course in Jerusalem and the first human murder is in Italy."
He flew up to see if he could get a beter view of sin and found the demoness rushing after something.

Beelio flitted around hell, gatheirng the lower more specteral demons through the various holes they were gradully forcing open. He had coordinated them so that they woudl sneak throgh the batte and fly out into the human world - unseen- to tempt the humans. Already arguments, battles, rebellions and gang warfare was springing up in eery human city. Soon h woudl attempt to infiltrae the governments, but that could take weeks.
Now he gatheredthe scavenger demons, giving them orders ot spread out and feed off the mrotals. They simply had to get through the gaurd fo the angels on the battlefield and they would be free.
At the back of his mind, Beelio wondered how he could set up teh events so that, in this chaos, he could usurp Satan

Opal nodded silently-repeating the information in her mind to make sure she remembered it. As soon as Adam left she turned to face in Natasha's direction. "So....I guess its just us at the moment," she said with some uneasiness due to the lack of strength and numbers. "Any suggestion on how we get there?"

In Hell Dougal quickly found his way to Beelio. He was eager to deliver the message and get the damn Shade off his back.
Once found-he catiously approached the demon and knelt down before him. The Shade quickly snatched the message and handed it out to the demon lord-finding it best to get the information about Dougal's current condition out of the way for Beelio made an attempt on the half-demon's life.

Niaro heard someone following her and she started to run faster.
She looked behind and saw the face of Sin.
"Nooooo"
She ran faster and felt how she was scratching her feet and how blood was coming out. Her fear made it so hard to feel pain.
After some minutes she trips and falls on the ground.
She felt the burning feeling on her face and how her pain was growing in her body.
She heard how she was getting closer and she moved one hand.
She wanted back to hell. She had no energy and she looked up at the sky.
"Why do I no longer have a home...."
She felt tears falling down and she felt alone.

Sin pursued Niaro fast and when the dmeon slipped she wrapped her tail firmly around her to keep her in place.
"Hey, hey clam down will you?"

Beelio stiffened but then read the note. he chuckled.
"Xion is worth something afetr all. Welcome Dougal. What news have you for me?"

"Oh man I don't know. we kind of totalled the lst plane we had."
he tried to think.
"There are spells that can transport people, but it's pretty dangerous. But the ways things are going i figure the airports are pretty much screwed, and it'll tae days to drive all the way to south america."

Three others do assist him," Dougal replied and than paused as if searching for something.
"The archdemon leaves....
leaving the mortal and doll alone."

"Yeah..." she paused, frowning and folding ehr arms to practically hug herself.
"do...you think thsi really is the end of the world? I mean it all sounds really bad. And this whole business of God being in some sort of coma...what do you make of that?"
realising time was of the essance, she turned and walked back to the mansion where the boosk were kept. The old, crumbling, beaten up house was soem comfort despite all teh drama that had happened there
