"Oof," FAith said as she hit the wall. The wind picked up again as she tried to hit him.
Hope saw Faith in trouble and then ground began to rumble.

Kisa knocked her father unconscious and his magic released Faith. "Oh, Shane!" she said, smiling to him when she looked up. "The council's completely useless now. All the stuff about treason and everything was fabricated so I wouldn't become the leader."

Hope went over to Faith to make sure she was okay.
Faith waved her off. She had not been hurt.

"Um, okay," Shane said. He was confused, but decided not to question Kisa on this one.
Jake went over to Faith as well. He tried to help her stand up.

Shane moved closer to Hope.
"I think I should stay," Jake said quietly. "I'm sorry, Faith. But don't worry. It will get better." He smiled to her. "If I ever get the chance, though, I'll come and find you guys and visit for a bit."

"Well, I'm not leaving you with those idiots," Jake said to her. "So we're both going."
Kisa sighed. "Okay, then. And you heard her, let's go!" She grabbed Jake's arm and pulled him out the door.
Shane followed holding onto Hope's hand.

Kisa led them a good distance away from the village, so they were about halfway between the village and the girls' house. "I need to rest for a moment," she said.
