Lies.
All that you know is lies.
The only sliver of truth in everything is that you are a burden. If it wasn't for you, Whitney wouldn't have abandoned you to go look for Anna. You couldn't even train the Pokemon you've had for your entire life to take care of itself. If she was stronger, then she could've defended herself and maybe been able to face off better against Maorde.
But you can't even do that. You can't carry out a simple damned task; the single task that even the naive ten-year-old trainers know how to do: train your Pokemon. Maybe if you weren't so pathetic, you could keep up with your friends. They face off against the strongest trainers there are, and you face off against, what, a stupid nagging voice in your mind to tell you to do better.
They wouldn't have abandoned you if you were better. Whitney wouldn't have left you if you trained Anna better. And maybe Sabrina would still be with you if you weren't such an easy target for the Rockets.
What is wrong with you? What in the hell is wrong with you?!
"I'm sorry," Nina sobbed, pulling her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. "I'm so sorry..."
Stop your damned apologizing and moping and do something about it!
"I'm sorry..."

Eraku was sprinting to keep up with Hurricane and was so distracted by the race that he didn't even realize he had hit something till he had landed face first in the dirt. Completely embarrassed he jumped right up and looked behind him to see a man in a dark suit with a large red R embroidered on the front of the shirt. "Hey, sir I'm really sorry about that I was racing my pidgey and complete spaced out. Are you..glargh.." Eraku sentence was cut short by the hands of the man grabbing him by the collar and lifting him into the air.
"You little punk! You have any idea who I am?" The man said glaring at Eraku throwing him down on the ground.
Eraku hit the dirt with a thud. "oww jeez man you don't need to be so ruff. I said I was sorry didn't I."
"Silence! You have messed with the wrong person today kid. I am a member of the illustrious Team Rocket. You will pay for your insolence. Go Tauros teach this whelp a lesson." The man yelled releasing a what seemed to be a green poke ball . Out of it came what appeared to be a raging bull that looked none too happy. It immediately began to charge at the young trainer who could stare in disbelief.
Just before the tauros was about to trample to young trainer a brown blurr came rushing down from the sky and knocked into the tauros causing it trip and fall over.
"Hurricane!" Eraku yelled. " Alright if he wants a fight he's got one now! Hurricane use sand attack!" Hurricane began to flap his wings faster and faster kicking up a cloud of dust that flew right into the face of tauros causing it cry aloud and buck.

"Just give me the briefcase, kid! This is all totally unnecessary!" the second grunt was shouting, weaving in and out of the range of being hit by the briefcase, which Keegan had decided made a nifty weapon. It didn't feel overly heavy but it was solid and had some punch behind it. Not only that but sometimes the best defense was a good offense, or something to that effect.
"Protecting this briefcase is necessary," Keegan growled, trying to pretend like he hadn't just been punched in the jaw by the third grunt, whom at this point was flanking him, "but it's starting to be fun, too!" he shouted. With a mighty swing the briefcase careened into the side of Grunt #2's head and he flopped to the ground like a Magikarp out of water, not looking like he was getting up anytime soon. During that moment, #3 took Keegan's temporary distraction and used it to sweep the redhead's legs out from under him. "...and he fails to stick the dismount," Keegan muttered, a little dazed by the sudden rushing up of the ground to meet the back of his head.
As he gazed up, hoping to make the world stop spinning, the sneering face of Grunt #3 loomed over him. "Aw, what's the matter, Red? Did you fall down and get a boo-boo?" He chortled at his own stupid remark, reaching down and grabbing the briefcase from Keegan's hands. "I'll be taking this. The boss'll give me a big raise for getting it from you!" He snorted loudly, turning and beginning to walk towards Leo.
It was then that Keegan saw the pale blue rays of ice flying through the sky at Artemis (though when he saw several of the Swellow in the sky it slightly confused him as he couldn't be sure if it was because of the hit to his head or if she'd used Double Team) and he craned his neck to get a look at the offending Pokemon. That a*****e sent out a Feraligatr too, Keegan thought, fumbling for a Pokeball. He sat up slowly, looking to #3. "Hey Ugly! Catch!" he shouted, hurling the Pokeball at the remaining Rocket. It was like a scene from a Saturday morning cartoon, as not only did the Grunt respond to being called 'Ugly' but also, the red and white sphere flew through the air and it clunked #3 right between the eyes, leaving a comical, spherical red shape in the center of his face. It also had the benefit of releasing the Pokemon from the Pokeball. "Themis, go help Artemis," Keegan told the Manectric groggily, getting to his feet and shuffling over to where the grunt had fallen. "Too bad, looks like someone already owns ya," he grumbled, once again reclaiming the briefcase. "Not that anyone would want you anyway," he added, planting a kick to the grunt's side.
Themis had a glance around him, a little surprised to see such utter chaos. The Manectric looked skyward as his teammate was being barraged by wild Ice Beams and he decided to put an end to that. Glaring at the Feraligatr, Themis charged up a Thunderbolt and let it fly. Artemis, meanwhile, chirped with relief upon seeing Themis, and she glared at the Noctowl before dive-bombing it with a Steel Wing.

Napalm's true fatigue didn't catch up to him until after he'd jumped down from the Snorlax, which was promptly returned by the supposedly defeated Rocket. He expected to land lightly on his feet, but instead his little stubby legs betrayed him, sending him crashing to the ground. Luckily Napalm's beak couldn't really open or shut, or else he would have bit his tongue right off. "Argh!" he groaned, flailing a bit before standing up. Before he could vent his anger on Cable, he noticed the Elekid was acting rather strange. Was it normal for Cable to set himself on fire and jump into the air about twenty feet and finish it off by landing on his head?
No, it seemed that he wasn't being silly, but the ever persistent bad man had released another Pokemon to deal with them. Judging by how far he had sent the plug into the air, he figured he was about as tough as the lumbering mass of fat they had just taken out. However, this one was much smaller, meaning it was probably a LOT faster. Well, s**t.

The world could've collapsed around her and Sabrina would have never noticed. At that moment in time, she was feeling the greatest rush of emotions that she had in her entire life. She couldn't believe it-- she couldn't believe that the Pokemon she'd grown to know and love so much and that she had been away from for so very long were here in front of her once again. She very slowly broke away from the group hug, looking over her Pokemon, seeing that they were all really there. "Everyone," she began, wiping away her tears and clearing her throat-- she didn't like people to see her like this-- "I know that there are no words I can ever utter to truly express how sorry I am for being gone for so very long. But, I need to you all to know that things were not very simple for me. I couldn't simply just "come back" after everything. You see..." she sighed, and her Pokemon looked interested in the story that she had to tell. Whitney did too. "Let's sit down." Everyone did.
"Whitney, you remember what I told you earlier about my coming back. Well, that was only a part of my story. But Oracle, and the rest of you..." She sighed. "It was quite some time ago. Nina, Lance and I were in Mahogany Town and we discovered a machine that the Rockets had been using to attempt to force the Red Gyarados that lived in the Lake of Rage to evolve. Yes, it is impossible for a Gyarados to evolve further, but the Rockets thought otherwise. They suspected that since its genes were different because of its shiny, outward appearance, its gene structure was entirely different as well. Anastasia, I'm not certain if you remember that whole ordeal, but that was the day you had evolved into what you are now." She smiled as she recalled seeing another of her Pokemon change and grow.
"But, anyway. Lance had taken off when we were done there, and Nina and I were leaving. Before we could exit the place, though, we were attacked by a Rocket. He attempted to shoot Nina, but I protected her, acting as a shield." Sabrina's Pokemon all cringed. "I implanted the idea into her mind that I was dying, so that she would run off and get to safety. When she was gone, I escaped to a hospital, and evidently fell comatose."
"Wait a moment," Anastasia interrupted. "Why did that disgruntled Rocket want to assassinate Nina? From the little I do remember, it was not as if she was the sole person responsible for that machine's destruction. The three of you all played an equal part." A soft chuckle. "Well... the Rocket had indicated that it was out of revenge for making him look like a fool in front of Giovanni-- we had physically knocked him out, and when Giovanni arrived, it was highly likely that he came across him passed out. However, I would later discover the true reason why. It was amusing, because when we first came across the Rocket, I felt as if something was off with him, something not quite right. It would only be later on that I would discover just what was off-- he was not a Rocket at all. Rather, he was posing as a Rocket, sent as an assassin. He was sent to kill me, not Nina."
Sabrina paused as it grew quiet. "But, I implanted the idea in his mind that Nina was me, and that I was her. If that man attempted to shoot me, then Nina would have no doubt tried to protect me in the same way I did for her." "Wot? If that man was not a Rocket, then what was his true identity?" "He was an understudy of Maorde Menskr. Long before Nina and Maorde had even met, he knew that I was traveling with her. He knew of my abilities, and how I possess the ability to turn living people into dolls. And, well, he couldn't very well have me around if he was going to prey on my sister, now could he? If I was wiped out, Nina would be too distraught to be at her full power to attempt to take him on." "But, Sabrina," Oracle began, "Maorde is immortal. Why should he be worried about you transforming him?"
"Simple. Maorde is not the person that he says he is. He is a a person preying on the suspicious masses of an old folklore. In a sense, he is a complete, total, and utter fraud. And he knew that if I were to be around him for one minute, I would read his mind and find that out instantly." "What?" Whitney asked, astounded. "How in the hell can you possibly know that, Sabrina?"
"Because," she replied, "I worked as his understudy in the time that I was gone."

Mai said nothing as the Garchomp brought its Brick Break down onto the head of her Blastoise, and the ground shook furiously as the large Turtle Pokemon collapsed into the already demolished stage. Mai felt all her rage dissipate almost instantly and she cast a long, cold glance Cynthia's way, holding up the Blastoise's Pokeball and returning him to safety. She knew she'd been defeated, and that it was pointless to go on. Despite everything she was as a Team Rocket admin, she was still a Pokemon trainer and she cared about the well-being of her Pokemon more than anything else. She refused to see them injured further in a vain attempt to try and prove something. A soft smile spread across Mai's lips and she held up her hands defensively. "All right, all right, I yield." She shrugged and looked around. Rowan was long gone now anyway and she didn't know what had become of the coveted briefcase. The fighting was beginning to taper off all around them, and Mai had a terrible sense of foreboding brewing in the pit of her stomach. She snapped her glance back to Cynthia, removing a Pokeball from her belt. "You got me this time, Champ," she said, throwing as much venom into her voice as possible, "but next time, I will not be defeated. Sirrus, Sandstorm, now!" Mai's Flygon was released from its Pokeball in a flash of light, and he paused just long enough for his trainer to jump onto his back before he began to flap his wings rapidly, not only carrying him and Mai into the sky but also kicking up a thick veil of sand to cloak their exit.
Togekiss cooed in response when Robin noticed her and she flew small circles around the redheaded girl, sensing the goodness in this girl's heart. Her power may not have been much, but her intentions were true, and the shiny aura of good emitting from her was in stark contrast to the one coming from the strange man in the orange suit. She also sensed malice and strife all around her, but nothing seemed to want to come anywhere near them. Togekiss cooed and nudged Robin's arm again, obviously quite happy to be serving as the girl's temporary protector.
Cynthia frowned and shielded her eyes as Mai called out another Pokemon, giving a fairly quiet command to her Garchomp. With a slight wave of its arms, the Mach Pokemon calmed the sandstorm, though by now Cynthia had no idea where Mai had run off to. "Well, at least she knows when to quit. She's not completely hopeless," Cynthia said to her Garchomp, patting the massive dragon on the arm. "You were excellent out there. Take a bit of a rest; I may need you later." She recalled Garchomp into her Pokeball and then began to pick her way through the wreckage of the stage, glancing towards her Togekiss and Robin before she went off in the direction Rowan had been lead to safety in.
=-=-=-=-= The Grunt glared at Jaeshan, looking a little like he'd misread how tough the kid actually was. The Earthquake had rattled his Pokemon good, and stacked with the paralysis they were both suffering, he'd be lucky to come out of this at all. "Attack, again!" he bellowed, and both the Dusclops and Poliwrath moved to initiate the attacks they'd just used. Another dark streak of black energy streaked out from the Beckon Pokemon, encompassing Butterfree in another painful cloak of darkness. The Poliwrath attempted to fire another Bubblebeam at Nidoking, though he found it impossible to do as his limbs had locked up.
"Giga Drain the Poliwrath, Butterfree!" Jaeshan commanded, looking towards the Dusclops. "And Nidoking, Iron Tail the other one!" Butterfree flittered up into the air, her the markings on her wings glowing a bit as large orbs of energy were seemingly sucked out of the Poliwrath's body. It tried to cry out in pain but was unable to do so thanks to the paralysis. Nidoking, meanwhile, had let out an earth shaking roar and charged the Dusclops, making heavy contact to the ghost's side with his powerful tail. Jaeshan smiled, very proud of his two Pokemon. Just a little more, and they'd have this fight. I sure hope Robin and Ryka got the professor to safety, he thought, having no idea that Robin was not where he thought she was.
=-=-=-=-= Ada had been staying near her trainer, keeping herself out of trouble (as well as the line of fire) as she watched the battle, finding her attention to be drawn towards the mighty Tyranitar. For some reason the Pokemon seemed familiar to her, like a distant memory or long forgotten dream, but she didn't know why. There was just something about it.
The cries of a few younger-sounding Pokemon caught the Pupitar's attention, and she turned slowly, wondering where it had come from. In the distance she could see a small, red and bumpy-looking Pokemon standing next to a familiar yellow and black plug. The two seemed to be squaring off against a strange Pokemon with big round hands, though they didn't look very confident about it. Not only that, but they also appeared to be awfully tired. Deciding to lend a 'hand', Ada hopped towards them, narrowing her eyes as the distance between her and her target grew smaller. Ada now recognized the small plug, having seen him with Kasiya's friend earlier. And if that small Pokemon belonged to Kasiya's friend, well then that made the plug her friend by association. When she was within reach she rocketed forward like a meteor, the spikes atop her head glowing bright white as she prepared to crush the Hitmonchan with her Brick Break.

Sneasel's speed seemed to really catch the Stantler by surprise and she jumped up, doing a flip in mid air before she landed the powerful punch to the Pokemon's chest. The Stantler staggered back, frosty crystals bristling in its fur and it shivered from the chill it felt travel through its whole body. "Great job Sneasel!" Riza cheered. She certainly seemed to get stronger each time Riza sent her into battle, even though this wasn't the kind of fighting Riza had wanted to get into. Oh well, experience was experience, and both Sneasel and Ralts were showing that they could battle with grace, agility and style as well as power.
The sight of Crenu's Ariados was a tad unnerving as Riza wasn't overly fond of the spider Pokemon, but it seemed eager to fight for her trainer and obeyed the command given almost instantly. 'Okay, I can get over my dislike of spiders for now,' she thought, looking back to Sneasel as the Stantler had started a counter attack on the rocket's command. The deer jumped up into the sky, intent on crushing Sneasel below it with a powerful stomp attack. Sneasel did a nifty little back flip out of the way, aware of just how close she'd been to getting crushed by its powerful hooves. She'd have to be careful to avoid those in the future too.
Riza stole a glance at the Rocket grunt, looking at the sack of pokeballs he had slung over his shoulder. Her heart felt heavy at the thought of all the trainers that had been robbed and suddenly she was more determined than ever to get that bag away from him. 'If only we can get him to put the bag down, I could probably get Ralts to teleport over there, get a hold of the bag, then teleport it back here. Hmm.' It was a good plan, though it would only work if the Rocket were to let the pokeball filled bag go.

Kevin strolled along the path, eventually returning to his normal walking speed. He could still hear the commotion behind him, but figured he'd put enough distance between himself and the pasture turned war zone that none would be the wiser.
"If you keep doing stuff like that, I don't know what I'm going to do with you Twinkles," he said to the purple imp as it made a nest out of the hood on trainer's sweatshirt. Clearly proud of himself, Twinkles flashed a wide, toothy smile from his new perch.
As he reached the top of a small hill, Kevin saw girl and a floating, skull-faced Pokemon running down the path towards him. He casually stepped to the side of the road, so as to not get in the way. Sometimes, you gotta get where you're going quick. They're probably just eager to check out the gym or catch a boat somewhere. No rush here though.

Cable watched as the Pupitar came seemingly out of nowhere to help them. Now it was really getting interesting. Then again, after seeing what the blue shell had done to his buddy Aggron, he wasn't exactly too keen on the idea. Man, he thought with a light laugh, I don't really like anyone, do I? The Elekid dug his feet into the sand and lifted his hands above his head again. It didn't matter if the Pupitar was caught in the cross-fire, since she was totally resistant to his Electric-type attacks. Yet he noticed the Hitmonchan swing around to strike Adamantine with a Brick Break himself.
"Pooptar!" he yelled, "Move it so you don't get socked!" Cable's feet sunk into the dirt as he threw his hands forward. The crackling ball of electricity aimed straight for the Boxer Pokemon - Shock Wave couldn't miss. As long as Pupitar and I act as cannon fodder, he thought, Napalm can blast him with Psychics from a distance. I knew he'd be useful for something in the long run! Cable looked over at Napalm from afar, giving him a thumbs up.

"Useless!" Leo shouted, watching as one by one, his minions fell. This is what he got for calling upon these useless wimps to fight for him - if you wanted something done right you had to do it yourself. Not only that but Red had sent out another Pokemon to take on his Feraligatr, but apparently it had to be an Electric-type, at that. Leo winced as the gator was struck by the Thunderbolt, the sheer force of it causing him to topple over backwards. "Get up, Feraligatr!" roared Leo. "Dive underground, now! And Noctowl, use Take Down on that bird! We will not lose to these inferior Pokemon!" Stray electricity crackled over the Feraligatr's body as it pulled itself to its feet, now wearing an enraged expression as it jumped into the air and dived towards the ground, its powerful claws tearing away at the sand and allowing it to burrow under and vanish completely. Noctowl let out a shrill hoot and flew at the Swellow, ready to cause her as much pain as possible for making him look like a fool in front of his master.
His orders issued and in the midst of being carried out, Leo began to cross the battlefield, his eyes locked on Keegan. One of the three grunts was slowly getting into a sitting position but Leo grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and hauled the hapless grunt out of the way so he could reach Red faster. He was a resilient little S.o.B. and it was an admirable trait, but Leo had seen enough and now planned to teach the little punk a lesson in pain and get that briefcase - he wasn't sure what could be held within it, but it was valuable to Giovanni and he refused to let this impudent child get the best of him. "Enough of your insolence, boy!" he bellowed, taking a heavy swing at the already-dazed Keegan. "I've been more than patient with you. I'm going to tell you one last time, hand it over!" The Rocket's hands shook with rage and anticipation of striking the boy again.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan pumped his fist into the air and pointed at the Dusclops. "Butterfree, nail it with your Psychic! Nidoking, finish 'em off with another Earthquake!" Butterfree's eyes and antennae began to glow brightly before a bright flash of Psychic energy struck the Dusclops. It hardly had a chance to recover from that before Nidoking was jumping up as high as he could and slamming his feet and tail hard onto the already damaged ground, very pleased to be causing this much pain and destruction. The two Pokemon whimpered as they fell, defeated, and the Rocket quickly recalled the two Pokemon, muttering angrily to himself. He looked towards Jaeshan like he was going to say something, but Nidoking started stomping towards him, and he squealed like a girl and began to run as fast as he could. Nidoking let out a hearty laugh and clapped his massive hands together before turning to Butterfree to congratulate her.
"Nice work, you two," said Jaeshan, still reeling from the massive adrenaline rush he'd just experienced. It was scary as all hell yet at the same time it was intensely fun. He recalled Nidoking, deciding to keep Butterfree out with him as a scout and extra pair of eyes. As he looked around, though, he saw Robin positioned out in the middle of all the fighting, seemingly screaming something at a man in orange - Jaeshan knew at once that this was Giovanni. He didn't know how he knew, he just did, and it was enough to make him fear for the girl's safety. "Robin!" he called out to her, not sure if she'd hear him or not. He made his way towards her, picking through overturned chairs, bits of collapsed stage and unconscious Rocket Grunts all over the place. As he neared her he could see a strange, yet awe-inspiring white Pokemon with her, and an overwhelming sense of tranquility filled his every cell. "Robin..." he said gently, as not to disturb the Pokemon, "are you all right? You had me worried there for a moment."

Mitsu shook her head before shooting Mike a glare. She wasn't weak, she wasn't going to complain. She saw that eye roll. Adrenaline filled her to the brim as she her hands began to adopt that faint, eerie red glow. . .
Mitsu! Karri spoke sharply into her mind. "You can't lose it now. Not with him watching. And you are as strong as they are. Just keep believing like before." The Psychic paused, "And don't make me go mushy on you again." The Gardevior wasn't even phased a bit through Mitsu's slip up and maintained her look of rage at the Rocket leader and his trio of Pokemon.
Right, right. Can't slip up now. Her hands, which were still clenched into a fist, eased up, the strange aura disappearing. "Ivy! Karri! . . . NOW!" Mitsu commanded, authority ringing in her voice. Karri nodded, swapping places with the two with quick work of a Teleport. "Counter with Giga Drain on that Kingler Ivy!" Mitsu shouted after the switch-ero had taken place. The Crabhammer made contact, and it hurt plenty even with the resistance Ivy held over the Water type. The Ivysaur roared, shooting green orbs at the crab Pokemon.
"Karri Flash!" she called out right after her command to the Ivysaur. Those Firepunches still connected, dealing a hefty bit of damage to the Psychic. A musical scream escaped into the battlefield. Was that echoed in their minds or had they heard it? Mitsu wasn't sure, but a blinding flash of light engulfed herself and the Machamp. Karri tried her best to bend the rays of light to give Ariel the utmost opportunity to escape the double Thunderpunches.
I may not have the brute strength to defeat Giovanni by myself, but I do have the skills to help Mike, Kilik, and Kasiya take advantage of the situation. Then again having Karri and Ivy switch between offensive and defensive wasn't such a bad plan either. We may not be at their level, but that doesn't make us weak! "Shut up Giovanni! Nothing you say is right. If we're cowards then you're merely a fool!" She shot a look to Kilik as if to say, don't give up.

Oh thank goodness! Napalm let out a huge sigh at the sight of the Pupitar's entrance to the battle. With the two of them out there, the chances of him getting hit were next to zero. He wasn't in prime sprinting shape, and if he fired any more Overheats he'd probably collapse on the spot. The only other option he had was to hammer the thing with Psychics and hope Cable and the new guy could just keep those fists away from his face.
Napalm took a deep breath, focusing his psychic powers into a mental attack. He threw his hands forward, a ring of telekinetic energy soaring through the sky towards the new foe.

The Hariyama tried to swiftly block the attack with his domineering hands, but Sapphire was swifter; he met the Houndoom's run at the jugular with a choked bellow of pain. Even if his thick hide and fat and muscle insulation prevented the attack from being fatal, the electric coursing through weak spot hit him hard. With an arm powered by his previous Belly Drum and panic, he chopped the dog down with a sweeping Arm Thrust, the other hand thrusting at the removed parasite in rapid succession.
Meanwhile, Diego took the initiative on Mr. Bing. Somehow in all the mad rush, he painted himself a neat little police uniform and planted himself neatly in front of the run-away Rocket, holding up a dripping stop sign. Whether from the absurdity of it all or the fact that the stop sign was in Spanish -- "Alto" -- the muscle-head stopped in his tracks, thoroughly confused. His hesitation allowed Ulani to catch-up and throw in a heavy Fury Attack to his knees, to which the man cried out and dropped his loot of Pokeballs. Furious now, Mr. Bing grabbed hold of the offensive blue cotton ball and threw her to the ground, about to stomp on her when Diego intervened with a painting of a rabid dog, another form of his Cruch attack. Fearing for his life, Mr. Bing fled, slipping over the spilled Pokeballs as he did so, which resulted in the release of some very, very indignant Pokemon. Some joined in on the chase, while others were glad to simply return to their trainers.
"Thanks," Ulani said, grudgingly appreciative for the save. Diego gave her a loopy grin, which somehow threw her heart off a beat. No, no, no way she could ever approve of this slobbering mess of an artist. She wasn't a romantic fool. Well maybe she was but that was still irrelevant. In any case, all annoyance she possessed towards the Smeargle previously returned when the fellow tried to romanticize one of the newly saved Sunflora, going as far as to kiss her hand -- or leaf -- and spraying a fountain of hearts from his tail. A raging Ulani pecked him furiously in the head and dragged the hapless artist back to M.A.
Meanwhile, Janice was furious. She had seen her plans foiled by the pestilence that was the brunette and her god forsaken weak-a** Pokemon. Goddamnit, if she wouldn't have her way, she might as well get her revenge.

Themis had been fully prepared to blast the giant gator again had it got up from his previous Thunderbolt, though he hadn't been expecting the thing to jump up and promptly hide underground like that. What was it up to, anyway? Themis raced over to the hole in which the Feraligatr had gone down and peered inside before releasing a Flamethrower into the darkness, if anything just for good measure. Artemis, on the other hand, found it to be a brilliant game of tag as the Noctowl came after her, and trilling loudly, she simply zipped out of the way, calling out to the owl in the most taunting manner she could muster.
Keegan, meanwhile, glared defiantly in Leo's general direction as his vision was slightly blurry and it was hard to tell if Leo was an incredibly wide man or if there were actually two of them. Either way, Keegan quickly discovered that Leo hadn't been joking around, as he barely heard the words coming from the Rocket's mouth before he felt Leo's fist connect, and once again he was on the ground, though oddly enough the redhead was laughing about it, perhaps a little punch-drunk. "Patient?" he repeated, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the concrete and slowly staggering to his feet, "I wouldn't call smacking someone around like a bloody pinata being patient." He groaned a little and rubbed his chin, silently wondering if any teeth had been knocked loose yet today and he cracked his neck with a satisfying pop. He studied the Rocket in front of him, not really sure what to do about the situation he'd gotten himself into. After a moment or two of thought (which he was certain had the effect of making him appear to be pondering the idea of giving the briefcase to Leo - not!) he laughed again, deciding to continue along with his be-as-incredibly-stubborn-as-can be strategy and he shook his head, grinning almost maniacally at Leo. "Previous offer still stands, ********. You ain't gettin' it."
