Rex hugged Antony back in a welcoming hug, but she continued to hold on a bit longer than expected. He loosened his hold on her to signal the hugs end and looked down at the tattooed woman, "Y'mind if we join yeh?"
He let go of their embrace when she pulled away and went to get a second steak that day, rare. Avery tugged his arm and asked him about the duplex, he averted his attention down to the other guy. In a hushed voice he explained, "I have no idea, dude. Amaya, that lizard girl from the beach the first day, remember her? She said that Moreau, the guy that runs this island, has cameras everywhere. Alot for crap happened and we don't know a whole lot, but for all that we know we could've already been injected and not even know it. There's alot of shady business going on and I'll tell you the whole story later."
Rex grabbed some silverware and the A1 on the way back to the table when a scraggled and dirty girl hobbled her way into the cafeteria, "Welcome to civilization, stranger!" He set his plate down on the table and went to go introduce himself to the girl he'd yet to me, "My name's Rex." He'd sure had to do this alot recently, but h wanted to be on good terms with all of the islanders from the get-go. If you're going to be living with these people for the rest of your life, who would want an enemy?

Colche was about to tell Antony that Aubrey was back when Emerwyn hobbled in. She smiled in a very kittyish manner at the half formed deer girl and bobbed from her seat to greet her "Emerwyn" she smiled brightly and, gently hugged her. She was glad all of her friends were coming out of the wood works. It seemed a miricle to the littlechetah girl that she could remember all the names of the people she knew now, she knew lots. She grinned up at the girl and gave a soft puurr "gots a long tail now" she stated turning around to flash her lengthy white tipped tail, which twitched at the tip in responce perhaps to being shown off.
"Oh! Aubrey back!" she smiled proud of her pinch of knowlege. Finally after this last little peice of information she grabbed both of Emer's hands in her own and pulled ehr towards the table to sit. "chocolate cake back too" she grins childishly, she sure had missed ehr chocolate cake.

Emerwyn smiled broadly at Colche despite herself. No matter how she felt, the sweet girl always made her smile.
She returned the hug, then looked Colche over. "You certainly do have quite the tail, Colche.
Then, she turned to the extremely cheery young man, Rex. She smiled in response to him. Was he ignorant, or simply that optimistic? Either way, she envied him. "Emerwyn." She was still very uncomfortable, and did not sit down. It seemed she'd come to loathe what Rex referred to as 'civilization.'
Lastly, she waved to the tattooed woman, and the long haired man, offering a last smile before coming into herself once more, folding her arms as though she were cold.

He's telling me that it's possible we were injected, and he wants to talk later? Avery thought, dumbfounded. He looked at the other people in the cafeteria - there was quite a crowd now, and yet another person he didn't know has joined the group. She didn't seem completely human like Antony was, however.
Well... he supposed he wouldn't want to freak out and start crying (again, he thought with some shame) in front of such a large group. he decided to help himself to some food, and he grabbed a plate and started piling food onto it, remembering how hungry he was. He carried the plate and some silverware over to the table, sitting down with everyone else. "Um... my name is Avery," he said, introducing himself to Antony and Emerwyn.

"Emerwyn," Rex repeated, rolling the name around his tounge, "Pleased to meet you." He extended a hand in greeting, hoping to cheer up this girl a bit. He didn't even realize that was had changed and didn't think twice about how she'd react to his handshake. "Are you... hungry? By the looks of it you just rolled in from the jungle."
Rex gave a nervous glance to Avery, who looked shocked that he'd accidently left him standing there. Antony had gave him the truth rather bluntly, which he wasn't sure Avery needed or not. He smiled uneasily and sat down and began to eat so his steak didn't get cold.

Colche's long tail swayed, noone seemed to pleased with her happiest of news, that Aubrey had come back. She was feeling a little isolated though Emerwyn was being nice. She was glad she could make the deer lady smile at least a little. Still, she looked up and tugged at her jacket sleeve "not wet no more now, s'good"
She smiles sneakily, suddenly nabbing a peice of steak off of rex's plate with a cheeky grin before she bobbed under the table and came out the other side with a defiant tongue pulling. There was too much for her to be doing to be cooped up here all day. Now she could get back in her duplex she could go and build sand castles, or paddle, or, or, well she could find every body. She had enough energy to do it too. "Beach time, paddle, sand castles, run!" she smiled at all the people hopping up from her seat at the table, with a slight stumble. She turned and glared at the bench for making her trip though soon got over it and padded off towards the door. Everyone else seemed to still be eating. She would see them later no doubt. She paused, just before pushing the door opened and said to the people who didn't know already "Colche, seventeen" she smiled, diving out, almost literally, through the swinging door, off in to the sunlight to play.

Emerwyn pulled her hand out slowly and took his. It was rough, and the hardened hoof-tips may scratch him, but she was not ashamed or anything. He seemed aware, and even comfortable with all of this. She backed away a little, after hearing Antony and Avery introduce themselves. She never fared well in large groups. And now, it was even worse.

Avery didn't have a problem with people smoking around him. He was used to it, what with hanging out in clubs all the time back at home.
He looked over at Antony when she spoke to him. "Yeah... he tried to save me when I fell overboard off a cruise liner, and, well..." he shrugged, stabbing his fork into his food. "So, have you been here long..? It doesn't look like you've changed any..."

Rex was unaware of Colche's thievery until she appeared on the other side of the tablet, chewing his steak! "Hey!" he yelled, feigning anger, "Bah, you need it. Get some protein in there that all that chocolate cake doesn't give yeh." The waved good bye as she zoomed out the door abruptly. "Seventeen? I'm guessing that's her Duplex number...?" He mumbled to no one in particular. Rex wondered if there was a paper somewhere that just had everyone's duplex number on it, that'd certainly make things easier than remembering them all.
Rex saw Antony fumbling for another cigarette, he hated the smell with a passion though he pretended it didn't bother him. He knew people could get offended easily if you told or asked them about their smoking. He munched his steak in silence, disguising a cough by clearing his throat.
He was glad the they were making small talk, for some reason Rex couldn't really picture them getting along. They're both rather colorful people though, maybe he'd thought wrong. He nodded seriously when Avery spoke of the night on the cruise ship. Thankfully he wasn't in tears, yet. Maybe Avery was starting to be at peace with staying on the island as Rex had.

"Since the day after Christmas," she affirmed, glancing over towards Rex when she heard his disguised cough. Frowning somewhat, Antony simply tucked the smoke behind her ear and set her lighter on the table.
Antony didn't mind people asking her not to smoke, but she did mind when people preached to her about how she's going to get cancer. "If smoking bothers you," the woman began, "Then just say so."
Always a firm believer in being honest, Antony was disappointed when she found out that Rex seemed more like a people pleaser to her, and not everyone, in her opinion, deserved to be pleased.

Emerwyn simply observed Antony, not knowing what to say. She was a strongly outspoken person, and a little frighteningly forward, but she couldn't help silently agreeing with her. After the hand shake with Rex, she had at first held back, but something compelled her to ask Avery and Rex about their situation. Like,
"I'm sorry, but, when did you all arrive here?" A shipwreck, it seemed... that hit close to home.

When exactly had they arrived here..? "A few days ago... Rex and I washed up on shore," he said after he finished chewing the food in his mouth. Avery wasn't about to mention what happened on the ship, or how he ended up falling overboard. That was just something he wanted to keep between Timothy, Rex, and himself. He glanced at Rex, wondering if he told anyone else the specifics of the incident on the ship.

"Hmm?" Rex turned to Antony as she put her cig behind her ear, "Oh no, you can smoke. The smell just gets to me a bit. Feel free to light up, though." He said uncomfortably, he didn't want her to get angry. He could care less if people smoked, that was their choice, but he did wish people were more considerate while smoking. Such as asking if it was all right if they lit up or stepped outside so the others inside weren't stuck in a smokebox. Rex's parents smoked (and more than just store bought cigarettes), he knew the smell well. To be honest, Rex didn't miss them, they didn't do anything good for him anyways. Scratch that, they did one good thing for him, sent him away.
Then Emerwyn spoke up, "No need to appologize. Avery and I both went overboard a few nights ago." Confirming what Avery said. He'd lost track of time and didn't bother to look at calendar, "We washed up on shore here the next morning. Yourself?" He said, cutting the last piece of his steak and popping it in his mouth and looking at the woman.
