the Chakera Blade absorbed the flames, he took a swing at Shikamaru.

"NO!" Naomi screamed, taking out Kakashi's Chakera Blade to counter the Lava Blade, "Don't you touch him!!"

Nali jumped down and said "so what would you gain by getting rid of Shikamaru, Naomi, Taya, Neji and myself, hmm Akiyama?" Nali didn't know why, but she started to think of her team at that moment. she was thinking about when they first met.

Naomi yelled, she was slowly advancing, "if you want to kill me then fine, BUT LEAVE THEM OUT OF IT!"

Shikamaru ducked and jumped backwards away from the sword but kept close enough to accuratly throw a kunai at Akiyama.

Dodging his attacks, Sakura hurriedly towards Naomi's direction.
"I-I could put him under a genjutsu, but..." she breathed heavily, her chakra slightly drained from the constant attacks and evasions. "s**t...I think he's too strong..."
[[It's alright if I occasionally put a swear word in my dialouge...right? sweatdrop ]]

Naomi pushed Akiyama back,
"Sakura, tell Naruto i'm sorry, I won't be there to see him become the Hokage." Naomi said, she dropped her Chakera Blade.

Shikamaru sighed and used a shadow possesion jutsu on Naomi and made her mover quickly over to him to avoid Akiyama's charge. he then said as her "what are you doing? theres no point in you doing this."

Relieved at Shikamaru's assurance to Naomi, Sakura nodded in agreement. "Naomi, I promise you that nothing will happen to us. We're here on our own will; we want to help you, by all costs. Please, don't go out alone..."
Sakura seemed almost close to pleading, as this had reminded her of how Sasuke, and even Naruto at times, had never told her of their darkest secrets, their most horrible problems. She didn't want it to happen again; she promised she'd protect her friends.
