SC walked down from the stairs, Umbreon and Suicune right behind her. They seemed to be chatting. SC watched them for a moment, then walked past SL and Deryx, waving as she passed. She then headed straight for the kitchen and the fridge, looking for a Coke.

Sturn continued to stare, he looked like he was having a staring contest with SL. There was a banging in the vents as Pombii fell though one of the vents openings (You know the thingy that lets air out), and hit the floor right behind SL.

SL waved to SC, then watched as Pombii fell behind her. She laughed.

Deryx laughed as well, and Troy still snored away. Pombii got up and danced around happily, Pombii ran up to Sturn and Sturn started pecking at him, Sturn gets annoyed easily.

MISSION- Cloning Evolution
Must complete Clone Clearout

I’ve gone over the documents you recovered from the Power Plant and the results are unsettling. They’ve managed to recreate the Evolution Wave technology once used by Team Rocket at the Lake of Rage!

It seems Team Clone’s next step is to produce a large number of forcibly evolved pokémon. Reports are coming in from the Sevii Islands about wild pokémon going berserk. This means their operation is already underway.

Go to the Sevii Islands, find their hideout, and shut it down. (You’ll fight two Team Clone Peons each with two evolved pokémon and one TC Commander with three fully evolved pokémon)

Thard again sent for me, though this time he didn't bother to invite me. He demanded that I come, leaving me with no choice. I headed back to the lab where he was, hoping for results on the data I had brought back. Walking over to him, I opened my mouth to speak, but Thard answered my unasked question. "I've gone through the data you brought me from the Power Plant. It turns out that Team Clone recreated the Evolution Wave, which forcibly evolves all Pokemon."

"Recreated?" I asked. Thard nodded. "The technology was first used by Team Rocket at the Lake of Rage in the Johto Region." he said. "They were forcibly evolving Magikarp into Gyrados, and they created the red Gyrados. Well, now Team Clone has the technology, and we've received reports from the Sevii Islands in Kanto that wild Pokemon have been going crazy. That's why they were moving stuff from the Power Plant, so they could get the technology.

"Since you've already spoiled most of their plans, it would be fitting if you stopped them here too. However, beware. They'll be on the lookout for you in particular, as they know you've already fought them, but they'll be on the lookout for any Aqua members, so try not to get caught and give them a reason to have a war with us. We could probably defeat them, but I don't want to take any chances."

I promised I would be careful and fight my way out if I needed to and sabotage their hideout. Then, taking Salamence, Prinplup, Tyranitar, Houndoom, Espeon, and Shinx for the trip, I went outside and hopped on Salamence, then started the long journey to Kanto. Then, leaning back and relaxing for the trip, we were off. I knew that the journey would take an hour or more, and that Salamence knew the way to our destination, so there was no reason for me to watch.

About forty-five minutes later, I was woken up. We were flying over the ocean, and close to the Sevii Islands. I wondered what had woken me up when I saw Salamence turn his head back towards the sky from looking at me. He had nipped my leg to wake me up, just to warn me that we were close. Leaning to the side to let the wind catch my face and to look for the islands below, I noticed an odd building in the middle of nowhere. Nudging Salamence, he started the descent, landing into the jungle so I could walk up unnoticed.

I didn't care if Team Clone knew I was here or not, as they had guards posted at the entrance (though they didn't see me or Salamence) and would be on the lookout for intruders. All of the Team Clone members probably were in there, and wouldn't be allowed to leave the building anyways, so there went my surprise like last time. However, my mission was to sabotage, not retreive data.

Sending out Espeon, Tyranitar, Houndoom, and Shinx to join Salamence, I gave them instructions to go up to the building and do as much damage as possible. Salamence would go first with Espeon on his back, then Houndoom would come out and get the attention on him as Tyranitar came crashing through the woods. Then, they would wreak havoc while I walked through. When I told them to go, they did so, Salamence and Espeon flying so Salamence could let Espeon off before the others got there and have it crush the others into the walls and ceilings, then start burning the place. Houndoom would rip cords and other things to shreds, while Tyranitar would create a huge amount of damage that would make the guards come running. Shinx would creep inside and fry everything in sight.

Smiling and following my five Pokemon through the woods (as Tyranitar's path was easy to follow), I heard the first crashes into the buildings that meant the wall had met Tyranitar. Without hearing any yells or attacks, I assumed that Shinx and Houndoom were inside drawing the guards while Espeon dealt with anybody who came for Tyranitar. Sure enough, I saw several guards at the entrance crumpled on the ground in a pile while Espeon stood calmly by their side and Tyranitar rammed the building. The other three were out of sight.

Recalling Espeon and Tyranitar, I entered the building, which no longer looked like a building. The walls were cracked, items were strewn about the floor, and the ceiling had nearly caved in. Hoping it would keep fine until I left, I made a mental note to have Tyranitar knock it down before I left. Salamence could also help weaken it by breathing flames on it. I still saw no sign of any of my other three Pokemon, and hoped that they were doing fine. A few moments later, I was answered by a scream of pain as an electrical shock hit the man.

Turning a corner, I saw Shinx next to a man. I called Shinx to my side and the man slowly got up. He pulled a Pokeball from his belt with a trembling hand. Throwing it, a Pigeotto came out."Quick Attack." the person said. Pidgeotto zoomed forward and rammed Shinx. "Thunderbolt." I said. Shinx released a huge bolt of lightning that hit Pidgeotto and did a ton of damage. "Again." the person said. Pidgeotto flew forward again and rammed Shinx.

"Thunderbolt." I said. Shinx let out another bolt of lightning that hit Pidgeotto and KOed it. The person returned it and sent out Gible. "Earthquake." he gasped. Gible jumped up and down and Shinx was KOed. I returned it and sent out Espeon. "Psychic." I said. Espeon picked up Gible with its mind and threw it into the wall. "Earthquake." the person repeated. Gible shook the ground again, doing decent damage. "Finish it with Psychic." I said. Espeon again picked up Gible and this time threw it into the man, who passed out from the hit. Gible was KOed as well.

I smirked and continued on my way. There was nothing except destruction. However, I did hear flames being fired, as well as a vicious ripping noise. I found my two remaining Pokemon harrassing a group of half a dozen guards, and one more being thrown aside by Houndoom. His clothes were tattered and he himself was bloody and unconscious. I called the two back into their Pokeballs. One brave guard moved forward, while the rest cowered.

"Why be so foolish? You can't do anything about me." I said, then laughed. He shrugged, then sent out a Pokemon. It was a Haunter, so I sent out Espeon, who was the faster of the two. "Psychic." I ordered. Espeon picked up Haunter and threw it into the ceiling, doing devastating damage. "Night Shade." he replied, and the world around me began to get dark, then light again. Espeon was on the ground, nearly KOed. "Psychic again." I said. Espeon again threw Haunter into the wall this time, and Haunter was KOed. The person returned it and sent out Weavile. "Night Slash." he said. Weavile ran forward and cut Espeon, KOing it. I returned it and sent out Prinplup.

"Metal Claw." I said. Prinplup ran forward and whacked Weavile with its claw, which had grown shiny and metallic while it was moving. "Brick Break." the person replied. Weavile also ran forward and whacked Prinplup, doing lots of damage. "Again." I said. Prinplup repeated the attack, nearly KOing Weavile. "Brick Break again." the person said. Weavile ran forward and whacked Prinplup again, but not nearly enough to KO it. "Finish him with Metal Claw." I said. Prinplup ran forward again and whacked Weavile, KOing it. The person returned it and rejoined the other guards, but not trembling like they were.

I pulled out 2 Revives and 3 Super Potions. Giving a Revive and a Super Potion to Shinx and Espeon, I gave the last Super Potion to Prinplup. I might need them. Looking around, I thought that I had done enough damage and started to leave the building, with the mental note to Tyranitar still in my head. However, before I could make it to the end of the building, I found a person dressed as a higher member blocking my path.

"So, you're the person thats been wreaking all this havoc." he said, amused. "I must say, I'm quite impressed. I honestly didn't think you could make it this far, but I was wrong. By the way, would you be interested in joining Team Clone?" His eyes twinkled. I shook my head. "I've been with Team Aqua for over 3 years, and I have no interest in leaving them. Now, what do you want?"

The twinkle was gone from his eyes. "I want nothing more than a battle. If you aren't willing to join us, then we must crush you!" He sent out an Infernape. I sent out Prinplup. "Hydro Pump!" I said. Prinplup released a huge jet of water that hit Infernape hard. "Brick Break." the person calmly said, a mad fire in his eyes now. Infernape jumped forward and whacked Prinplup as Weavile had done. "Hydro Pump again!" I said. Prinplup released another huge jet of water that nearly KOed Infernape.

"Brick Break again." Infernape again jumped forward and whacked Prinplup, nearly KOing it. "Finish it with Hydro Pump!" I said. Prinplup released a third and final jet of water that hit Infernape and KOed it. The person returned it and sent out Torterra. "Razor Leaf." he said. Sharp leaves flew from Torterra's back and hit Prinplup, KOing it. I returned it and sent out Houndoom. "Flamethrower." I said. A huge flame spewed from Houndoom's mouth and hit Torterra hard.

"Earthquake." he said. Torterra jumped up and down, shaking the ground, and doing a ton of damage to Houndoom. "Flamethrower again." I said. Houndoom released another flame that hit Torterra and KOed it. The person returned it and sent out Empoleon. "Hydro Pump." he said. Empoleon released a huge jet of flame that hit Houndoom and KOed it. I returned it and sent out Salamence. "Brick Break." I said. Salamence flew forward and hit Empoleon hard. "Ice Beam." he said. A transparent beam flew from Empoleon and hit Salamence, KOing it. I returned it and sent out Tyranitar.

"Earthquake." I said. Tyranitar jumped up and down, shaking the ground, and nearly KOing Empoleon. "Hydro Pump." my opponent said. Empoleon released another jet of water that hit Tyranitar hard. "Earthquake." I said. Tyranitar jumped up and down again, KOing Empoleon. The person returned it. The twinkle in his eye was back. "My, that was a truly wonderful battle. Now, you may go." He stood aside to let me leave. Walking past him after returning Tyranitar (for the moment), I left the building and sent Tyranitar out again. It crashed into the building a few more times, collapsing the roof. I felt no compassion for those still inside.

The commotion had brought a number of water Pokemon up to the edge of the sea, including a Staryu, which I was interested in catching. Keeping Tyranitar out, I had it use Stone Edge on the Staryu. Every other Pokemon sank back into the water; The stones hit Staryu, bringing it out of the water. It brought a huge wave with it that hit Tyranitar extremely hard. "Stone Edge again." I said. More stones flew from Tyranitar and hit Starmie, nearly KOing it. It KOed Tyranitar with Surf again, so I returned it and sent out Espeon. Throwing a Pokeball, the Staryu disappeared inside of it. Shake, shake, shake, ding! I picked up the Pokeball and stuck it in my pocket. Then, sending out Salamence, I flew back to HQ.

When this gets passed, can my Prinplup evolve? It'll have 10 missions.

*Sticks a note to the mission*
An excellent mission overall, however I can't quite allow it to pass as-is. The peons are supposed to have evolved pokemon, but Gible is a basic pokemon. Change it to Gabite and it should be good to go.

On the matter of battles though, you seem to favor the "strike fast, strike hard" approach. In future missions, especially the last two in this series, I'd like to see some strategic moves. Hypnosis, Reflect, Nasty Plot, etc. will all add more depth to your fights. I won't necessarily fail the mission based on such tactics, but if it's boring you may get less prize money.

Here's an example:
As Hitmonlee jumped in the air to deliver the final stroke to my Clefable, I desperately cried out, "Use Flash!" Clefable suddenly gave off a brilliant light. Temporarily blinded by the move, Hitmonlee missed his Jump Kick and crunched painfully to the ground. "Now's my chance!" I thought....

This is just one of many ways you can spice things up. Good luck on the last missions!

Very nice! You fixed the one problem I pointed out, and I didn't see any others on the re-read, so you pass.

On the matter of Prinplup, you'll have to ask a current admin about evolution. I can't approve that for you. *Related note: I believe Prinplup is a standard water-type, not water- and steel-type like Empoleon. Even so, I don't think that point has much bearing on the mission given the strength of Weavile and Infernape.

When you attempt the final missions in this series, bear in mind that they'll be graded on much stricter standards. This would be a good time to brush up on some advanced battle strategies.
