i play all three but my band teacher and jazz dont like the 4 th saxophone the one that looks like a clarinet
...it's called a soprano..e.o..and that isn't "all 3" as you put it..there are SO many more than just the soprano, alto, tenor, and bari....e.e....
That's absolutely true. There are tons of different saxes out there.
And I bet that the reason your BD's don't like soprano saxes are because they are hard to play...
correctly. Any sax player could learn how to play it, BUT... if it is not played a certain, semi-delicate and smooth way, you end up hurting peoples' ears badly. It's kind of like playing a violin.
biggrin An experienced fiddler would play nicely, whereas an inexperienced kid would squeak and make someone's ear bleed.
