redface Can I ask for thoughts on the avatar below? Won't be making changes to the entry other than potential leg mod, but I still want to see where I could have improved.  Really unsatisfied with the leg mod; however, please no suggestions for leg mods at this time. This avatar is for a Project Catwalk guild mini-contest and a lot of the contests push for avatars to be designed solely by the user submitting the avatar. If I find a better legmod before the deadline I can still edit my entry. If you think the legmod is fine though, let me know so I can stop spending hours looking at Gaia legmods, lol. As an alternative to legmods I have been looking at mist/fog items that would make the legs appear less sharp. No luck so far. Contest is really loose theme-wise as it is a dream avatar for a user. I ended up focusing on the user's preferences below: Celtic
Androgynous/Tomboy
Floral/Nature
Woodland color scheme confused Backgrounds aren't forbidden and the user likes background decor, but the user is not a big fan of backgrounds. I tried taking the background out; however, I really miss the fog effect. If I find a legmod I'm satisfied with I might go background-free. Aaaand.... How are you all?! emotion_hug

Turned out okay. biggrin Am doing great, been a hard day at work, and I'm a little brain dead but getting through my training, and most people seem happy with my progress. How about your good self?

Jester Hageroth Looks amazing! Fits the themes perfectly! Better with background than without lol but I'm a fan of Avi looking like a comic book cell, really tells a story too! What's wrong with the legs though? Seem fine to me. Thank you, Jester! If you don't think there's anything wrong with the legmods, then I'm going to stop tearing my hair out over the mods and leave them as they are. That's a big relief! heart For some reason I feel like the legs are tad too modern/city looking compared to the rest of the outfit. A lot of the items that are more outdoorsy/rugged are really bulky or have a wide stance though.

Struggling a bit with lifestyle since the Running Room store I work at and ran with the club at closed. Slowly getting back on track - I think.

wink I, too, dig your current avatar! Very mysterious. As far as the avatar in progress goes, I think it looks great. Definitely have a background; it just ties everything together nicely. I'm not sure that I want to suggest anything else, as I don't want the avi to look too cluttered.  A cape, maybe? Could be a bit much.

Did you respond in agreement that it doesn't make sense or were you saying my wording didn't really make sense. I briefly wondered if one direction looking better had to do with the balance of the avatar. In art good balance makes the piece feel 'right'. This doesn't seem to be the reason though, as simply flipping the avatar wouldn't make the avatar balanced.  ___ For some reason I like the version on the right more than the other. Maybe it has something to do with ocular dominance, lol.

That purple and gold mix on your current avatar is wicked. You're making me want to make more avatars. Stahp! I'm really honored to hear that! I think this avatar is one of my best so far. Hooray! Someone who understands what it's like to frequently be interpreting something multiple ways. I often worry I'm driving people batty when I have to confirm what they wanted their words to mean.

Hahaha! Too few of us that do that with sentences! You'll be happy to know that made me feel more normal! Never worry about asking for clarification, people do it to me all the time smile ) I guess I talk "funny" Omg you made my day! I made this Avi with stuff I don't use, with the intention of listing it to sell. I've never tried before so that's given me a bit more confidence.
