Eating is such a chore now. I don't know if I want to keep building muscle.
Sure does feel good having the genetics to sit at 200+ and only have to eat like 2500-3000 calories to gain when guys half my size have to eat like.. 4500 to just put on five pounds or see their numbers jump up ten or twenty pounds.
Also creatine is a big deal because it's one of the truly well-researched supplements that actually has a beneficial effect. However, you don't have to take that much of it (in fact, front-loading creatine to 15-25 grams a day for your first few weeks, is bunk despite being "common wisdom" for most gym rats), but it does improve performance, mostly at max effort or at the point where you would really begin to fatigue.
It's not going to make you put on mass any faster, it'll just improve workouts. Wanna put on mass? Eat. Drink a lot of water. Sleep. Lift heavy, lift often.
Also, just because someone does something for free doesn't make them above criticism or reproach, nor does it mean they never make mistakes. Just because some guy offers to fix my car doesn't mean I'm going to let him because it's free, and if I goes off and breaks a tire-iron off in my engine block then it doesn't matter whether or not it's free, he's clearly a shitty mechanic.
Any time you step into a leadership or authority position, you open yourself up to criticism. That's because the capacity for critiquing authority is what keeps it in line. I've run tournaments before; I expect people to be thankful but if they have a problem with how they do things they're entitled to say so, it's a two way street. I don't get a get out of jail free card just 'cause I'm doing something nice for the community, I still have to be competent.
Which isn't to say that the judges are incompetent. Only that if you're gonna do something.. you kinda have to do it competently, whether or not you're getting paid for it. Half-assing it isn't gonna get anyone anywhere.
