"If you are going to let anyone know anything can you tell me where the Emporor and Emporess are before you go running off with your tails between your legs?"
She asked in a board voice. He hadent been here five minutes and he was already sending people back to report! was her presence here really that rare? or maby it was just the sheer size of the pack that scared them off.

The guard turned to face her, "And what purpose do you have with the Emporer and Empress?" he stood there questioning her as he continued to signal the one guard to continue on with what he had commanded him to do.

"why should you care?"
Tora asked the gaurd. Although it only took a moment of her pondering why such a question might be asked before she relized her request might effect him, he had the right to know.
"humm.... I am here to make a request, My pack and I come from the isle of pain where lycans are free and have rule. We want the same freedom for our brothers across the sea, so we are here to request some land be set asside for them."
She explaned calmly.

Glaring at her after hearing her wise comment. "Why should I care, well when it comes to the protection of the Emperor and the Empress I make it my business." he said in a rough voice.
"As for your request that you are seeking, I'll send off one of my men to inform them that you alone seek to see them." he continued saying as he looked around among the group of lycans hovering around them all.

"hang on, I will send my own messenger to accompany your men. To ensure that you do not foul up the information."
Tora said. She knew lycans where much hated here for being man hunters, so she did not want the messengers to take advantage of this and have an army on her back before sunrise.
Tora looked about for someone she might seek as her own messenger to acompany the man-at-arms. She mentaly picked out someone who had a wiry frame and did not look like he was much of a fighter, although since they where dealing with lycans here, Tora knew to think otherwise.
"Hey!"
She called to the lycan. who in turn bowed his head in respect when he saw who he was being adressed by.
"go with them to make sure that our request to see the Emporor and Emporess is honered."
She told him. He obayed and went to join the man at arms who was to carry the message to the palace, Tora laughed mentaly as the lycan was esaly a head taller and looked down appon the man with a critasizeing eye.

*though the wolves were likely expecting something more, there was only one man who accompanied the messangers back back. this man was a tall, white haired samurai from the swamplands. as he got closer, he spoke.
"great wolves of the southern isle, i am here in honor of the emporor to accompany you to the palace where you will be admitted to speak with the emperial order. i warn you now, however, that we are giving you our trust enough to allow you into our palace. we would appreciate that you give us the same respect and keep peace while in the preasence of our lord. follow me to our palace"
*the samurai turned away from them and proceded down the road

Tora nodded her head in responce and stood. A few others notaced her standing and folowed, it was only natural that the rest of the pack followed suit like a hurd of sheep.
"Lead the way Warrior."
She told him in the most respectful way she could muster without makeing it sound like a howl. Tora loved to feal all high and mighty.
She caught up to the young man quickly useing her long stride, then matched his own pace walking abrest with him.
"you are verry brave... not many would walk up to a pack of lycans to tell them where to go."
She told him, she expected to be ansured by silence so she did not pause long to wait for his reply.
" but tell me... where is the palace if you do not mind me asking."

*azrael noticed the wolf leader beside him and heard her words.
" the palace is situated in the center of town. the very city in which it lies was built around it. believe me, long before we are near it, you will see it ahead of us for it is the largest structure in all the land.. as for my bravery, where i come from, bravery is one of the three pillars of our peaceful civilization. that is why i left my home village, because i was too dangerous for my villages own good. i came here long ago and settled in the swamps where i tamed the wildness of it. we had a great war with the creatures there and that is when i became ruler of the swampland. the emporor heard of my deeds and made me an emperial samurai, though i still live in and rule the swamps. so, though i may not look like much, i am the best samurai in the land. it would be wise not to try anything funny, for i have no quarrel with the wolves of the south, as my pet white wolf, Bane, can tell you, and i do not wish to have one now."
*with that, azrael walked on......

Tora continued to match his stride. This man was certanly the most interesting she had ever met and had a far more complex mind then those she had previously met. She was not about to let him go without learning more of him.
"A pet wolf? I have never heard of such a thing! Although, I have herd stories of wolves with human conpanions... I think I should like to meet this Bane, it might be a nice change in perspective."
She continued to ponder the thaught along with everything else this warrior had said.
He truely was something to think over: too dangerous for his own village, three pillers, best warrior in the land. He would be verry interesting to get to know. Tora decided to keep him as a friend.
"you are alwase welcome on my Isles"
She told him.

"truthfully, i must admit, i have never ventured to the isles, for i did not wish to go there where i knew i would have to face and kill many a wolf. as for bane, he often travels with by my side, but i believe he is off hunting down some food on the outskirts of the city. he should not be too far off, and i can probably call for him"
*azrael cocked his head back and let off a loud growl like a large dog or coyote..... soon a white wolf came running towards them from the distance and stopped by his side, carrying part of a ratling in his teeth. azrael looked at the wolf and asked him:
"Bane, was this ratling near the city?"
*the wolf barked, confirming this.
"I told those ratlings to stay away from the city and not leave the swamplands where they would be safe. i will have to look into this later. oh well, let us move. we will soon be at the palace, as you can see ahead.

Tora listened politely to what the warrior had to say, and when he called his conpanion to his side Tora got down on one knee so she would be at eye levle with the white wolf. She growled a greeting to Bane when he was through with his buisness with Azrael, and awaited the wolf's responce.
Tora was verry pleased to see that, not only did the wolf have its own freedom but, he was fairly well built. Tora approval of this man just incresed ten fold.

*they soon arrived at the palace gates where azrael took out his wooden boken. the doors had strange groves in every direction upon them. azrael swung his blade in a combination of directions along different grooves. the gate opened up and he ushered them inside.

Sojiro ran around the city looking for Azrael.
He had to be warned.
"AZRAEL!!!"
Sojiro called running around the city.
Sojiro hushed when finally found him amid several dozen wolves.
Sojiro had to get to him without getting torn apart.

The Lycans in the back of their little parade covered their ears when the boy came running about screaming for the one called Azerel. and of corse he was eventualy running amung them, one of them swore that if he screamed one more time he would eat the boy even if it ment faceing Tora's wrath. Lukaly the boy silenced himself before that happened.
Meanwile at the head of the pack, Tora walked along side Azreal and entered the palace. She made a note not to touch the groves of the walls unless she was told that she could, who knows what other things these groves could do!
"Facinateing..."
Was all she could say when she entered the grand palace as she looked about in awe.

Sojiro followed the pack into the palace, hoping Azrael wouldn't be mad at him for coming in.
He had to warn him though.
