A soft giggle escaped Lakayna's lips as Axel complemented her. "And you look like a prince tonight," she whispered back. Lakayna lay her head automatically against his chest as they danced, closing her eyes. All her fears and worries seemed to melt away at this point; almost like nothing could go wrong this evening. This evening was going to be a fond memory for Lakayna. She got to come here with Axel, all her friends were here (though she'd yet to see Ari, Roxas, or Xion yet), the decorations were amazing, and the music was beautiful.

(whoever plays Ari; you've gotta have her at the dance! she's getting sent to one of the worlds too. you need to post too blink! [if you ever come on] )

Marly looked around. He had no real date, but nonetheless he was there. He was formal, barely, wearing a top hat and so forth(though he fit in, as he noticed seeing a lot of students in similar garb), dressy as he ever would be. Right now he stood near a wall, with all the shy boys that couldn't dance, and the other dateless ones. But to him that was no problem. He saw Axel through the crowd of people swaying to the music with no real rhythm. He was talking to the Dragon-lady..Ugh. He couldn't stand her. He moved close to the punch bowl, pushing past party-goers. He was in sight of them now, able to watch them. Later he wanted to catch them when they were most comfortable. Start a fight, and win because they weren't on guard for once. He smiled. Not the best plan, but the only one he had gotten lately.

Can someone without a heart truly feel?
Or are these feelings simply an illusion created from memories of a past existence?

Alexander gingerly took Hikari's hand and pulled her close to him. The song playing currently was a slow dance, so he decided that this type of dance was most appropriate. At this distance he could feel the warmth of her body, and it felt nice. Alexander really did like being like this with Hikari, or at least he thought he did, since he knew he couldn't truly feel anything. "I hope you're okay with being this close to me." He told Hikari as he led her across the dance floor in elegant and flowing movements. The nobody took a second to glance over at Riku and sighed before looking back down at Hikari. "You can go see your brother after this dance if that's what you wish." He smiled slyly. "I'd just like a couple more dances with you before the night is over that's all."

But, if these feelings are created from memories, doesn't that make them based in reality?
Whether they are true or not is unimportant, what matters is that they are not ignored.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxUser ImageMy first real date, my first real dance...

Just as Sora had known would happen, both Riku and Kairi freaked out when he’d paused and touched his forehead. He didn’t blame them, because usually when stuff like that happened, it was a bad sign. However, this made him wonder for a moment that if he ever got a sudden headache, would everyone think the world was ending? The brief thought made a small smirk appear, but then he remembered the concern in his friends’ voices. He’d also felt Naminé breeze through his memories, although it wasn’t intrusive. It was just as if she’d been reading over his shoulder for a moment. So he decided he needed to let them know it was alright.
”Don’t worry, everything’s fine,” he assured them, turning around slightly to face Riku and Naminé as well as Kairi. ”Just got a little light-headed, that’s all.” Of course, he was kind of telling the truth. But not entirely. It had been more than just a dizzy spell, but he didn’t want his friends worrying about him all night. Tonight was for fun, and so he wouldn’t make anything of that strange presence in his mind.

Sora continued to pull Kairi into the actual school and knew that Riku and Naminé were right behind. Just as they were about to enter the gym, he heard a familiar voice call his name. However, this was no ordinary familiar voice; this was a familiar voice that he’d only heard once or twice that day, though he’d been waiting to hear it in his head for several hours. He released Kairi’s hand and spun around to see Roxas coming over with Xion. His jaw dropped, dumbfounded, as he stared incredulously at his Nobody as he asked him where he’d been all day.
”Where have I been?” he asked, stunned. ”Where have you been!? We looked all over the place for you today! I tried talking to you through our link! And you never answered! And now you come waltzing up to me, asking me where I’ve been?” He sighed and put a hand on his face and tried to calm down a little. He just didn’t understand it. He didn’t want to get mad at Roxas since he might not be his fault he hadn’t heard from him, but still, how could he act like nothing had happened. The brunette’s eyes flitted to Riku and Naminé for a second. Remembering recent past events, he decided right here and now probably wasn’t the best time to talk to his Other. ”Uh… come on, Roxas.” He glanced at Kairi for a moment, holding up a finger to demonstrate he would be right back. Then he snatched Roxas’s wrist and dragged him away from the crowd, hoping he wasn’t attached to Xion in some way and that if he was he’d let her go. When they were far enough away from the group, he turned to the other. ”So… where have you been?” he asked, trying not to sound too exasperated.

((Right, I'll have Sora enter the dance as soon as he's done talking to Roxas. And I'll post as Aros next and he'll go into the dance with Rikia.))

Nothing could ruin this moment... right?

Aros just shook his head in a disapproving manner as Tesqux corrected him and snapped at him. He didn’t have time to play her games. He was annoyed enough already with this hooded woman who thought she called all the shots. But there was nothing to be done about it now. However, when Ruxik stepped forward to defend him, he couldn’t help but smirk in disbelief. Well, he was loyal, and that would make him useful. But he definitely didn’t need him fighting his battles for him. The woman gave him a sarcastic reply and Rikia also piped up about his interruption. The ravenette raised a brow at his puppet and crossed his arms, as if to tell him that he wasn’t to do anything like that again. With the expression on his face, he was fairly certain that message got across. However, what he picked up on next disturbed him a little. Tesqux was calling dibs on Riku. He knew that would rile Ruxik up in a heartbeat.
”Hey Tesqux… you’re overstepping your bounds,” he informed her smoothly, but there was no hostility in his voice. ”As his Nobody, Ruxik has full rights to do whatever he wants with his Other… as long as I tell him he can. So why don’t you go play with someone else?” He glanced at Kiera, wondering if she would back the female Nobody up. If it was too much of an issue, fine, he’d let the girl have her fun with Riku and sic Ruxik on the dragon girl and Axel. It wasn’t a big deal for him, really. He knew who he was after.

Aros looked at the cloaked woman with much annoyance as she once again proceeded to order them around. He didn’t care. When her plan fell because they didn’t get rid of the light-bearers when they had the chance, he would just assume her leader position and get the job done. That was when she disappeared and Rikia came over, stroking his face and poking his nose. His expression was blank, but on the inside he was raging. He really couldn’t stand the flirty attitude Kairi’s darkness had, but he would have to deal with it just like he would have to deal with the cloaked woman until he was proven correct. He folded his arms across his chest and huffed as she acknowledged he knew when to accept a change when it was better.

”We’re missing a golden opportunity,” he pointed out. ”But whatever. Like I said, I’ll play along, for now.” The tealnette pulled her hand away and addressed the others, saying that it was time to go. She disappeared into a Corridor of Darkness, and the ravenette would follow soon. But first he had to make sure things worked out between Tesqux and Ruxik so a fight wouldn’t break out between them over who was going to take care of Riku. Once that was accomplished, then he could go find Rikia and play up the date thing, at least for a little while.

The difference between life and death is a split second....

Kiera straightened. According for her plan to work, she needed Tesqux to go after a light wielder. "If Tesqux chose Riku, then I have no objections to it. Unless of course...." She looked at Aros directly in the eyes. "You want her to go after Sora." She knew she was provoking him. Oh, she loved provoking people, seeing them angry and using that anger against them. It was so fun, manipulating others.

The difference between you and me?
I'm going to live.

As the Princess waited for her boyfriend to respond, she got the same eerie feeling that someone was watching her again. Kairi's worried face deepened and she leaned in a little closer to Sora, feeling safer that way. The red head relaxed a little though and smiled when the Keyblade Master assured her, Riku, and her Other that he was all right.

The brunette continued to pull the crimsonette to the school, Riku and Naminé in tow. Just before they were all about to enter the gym, a familiar voice called out Sora's name. The Keybearer let go of Kairi's and spun around. The Princess turned around and let out a sigh of relief as she saw Roxas and Xion coming up to them. The crimsonette was glad that the two were okay. She gave an amused smiled as she saw them. She had been right in guessing that the two of them were going to the dance together. Roxas asked Sora where he had been all day and Kairi raised an eyebrow in confusion. Isn't that what they should be asking him? The red head wasn't surprised when the brunette started going off on his Other. Roxas had had them all worried.

When Sora glanced at her for a moment and held up a finger to show that he'd be right back, Kairi smiled and nodded in response. The Princess watched as Sora dragged Roxas off to talk to him, then turned to Xion and half laughed,
"I'm glad to see that you and Roxas are okay. After what happened today, I was worried when I hadn't seen either of you. And with Roxas not responding to Sora, we were even more worried. I'm sure Sora is going to give him an earful." Kairi then beamed to the ravenette exclaiming, "You look so pretty Xion! Let's have lots of fun tonight!"

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~

User ImageUser ImageHikari shook her head when Alexander asked if she minded being close to him and then said that she could go see her brother when they were done. "I'm alright, really," she said, following his movements as they went across the dance floor."I do enjoy dancing with you," she added. Goodness, why was she feeling so awkward!

Axel's grin softened when she returned his compliment and rested her head on his chest, bringing their graceful waltz to a calm shuffle of feet as he kept one hand on her hip and the other holding her hand close to them. He couldn't think of a time when he enjoyed himself most since they went to Halloween Town. At the moment it was just the two of them on the floor, enjoying one another's company. For once since the Organization he felt like he belonged, even though he stood out like a sore thumb with his flaming, spiky red hair and teardrop tattoos under his eyes. Though he had to admit he was glad that he didn't have a heart, or else it would've been pounding the side of her face from inside his chest. But at the same time, he wish he had a heart. Axel knew he wouldn't be able to truly like or love her without it. The best he could do was mimic the actions of his peers when they were in love.

"What are you talking about? Hey!" Roxas exclaimed when he was suddenly yelled at and dragged aside from Xion by Sora to be spoken to off to the side. "I was over at the islet, where the Paupu fruit tree is. What was the big deal?" he asked. "Where have you been, anyway? I would figure you would be too busy with Kairi to worry about me. It's not like I can't take care of myself," he said, folding his arms.

Alexander chuckled softly and continued gliding slowly across the floor with Hikari. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself." He reached his hand up from the small of Hikari's back and brushed the hair out of his eyes, before replacing it. The nobody was beginning to regret the fact that he could not feel. He really wanted to feel something towards Hikari, because he liked her as much as someone without a heart could. After a few more moments the song ended, and Alexander release his grip on Hikari, smiling down on her. "Would you like to dance more, or do you want to start visiting with the others?"

The song ended and their waltz stopped. Lakayna pulled her head away from Axel where it had been resting. She never realized how warm he was, even to her own skin, which blazed way above normal all the time even when she was one hundred persent healthy. No heartbeat had met her ears, but she'd known to expect this, because Axel was a Nobody, and they didn't have hearts. It didn't matter to Lakayna. Besides, her heart was beating fast enough for two hearts, and it was a wonder Axel didn't hear it. It pounded against Lakayna's ribcage. It was almost really painful, but in a good way.

Aros let out a sigh as Kiera told him that she had nothing against Tesqux going up against Riku. Well, of course she wouldn’t. It seemed like everyone was against him today, and it was really beginning to get on his nerves. The fact that he was used to being in his Other and having virtual control of others made him believe that when he was his own person and had the darkness to control, then everyone would listen to him, no questions asked. It appeared that things were way different than he’d thought. As much as that bothered him, it offered an interesting challenge to gain power over the others in his group. That would start tonight when the cloaked woman’s plan failed. They would know that his would have worked and then perhaps they’d start taking orders from him. Maybe then they would take him seriously.

Anyway, Aros raised an eyebrow as Kiera continued saying that if he would rather have Tesqux go after Sora, that was fine with her. He just shook his head and folded his arms.

”If I had a heart, I probably would have laughed,” he commented, smirking. That expression disappeared very suddenly and he sneered. ”But I don’t. So that joke was really just a waste of my time. Ruxik, come on.” He turned to glance at the male Nobody and opened a Corridor of Darkness. The disguised ravenette stepped inside expecting Ruxik to follow. However, just before the corridor swirled shut, he turned back to the two girls. ”Just don’t come crying to us when you realize Tesqux is in way over her head,” he added, a smooth grin appearing just as the darkness consumed him. The corridor reappeared down near the school, but not in plain sight. Aros came out and scanned the area for Rikia. As much as he didn’t want to spend any more time with her than he had to, he supposed he could maybe find out more about the cloaked woman if he hung around her. It was worth a shot. However, before locating her, he decided to give Ruxik instructions and set him free. First he had to wait for him to catch up, so he leaned against a nearby tree and waited for the violenette to make his appearance.

Sora gave a quick grin as he saw Kairi nod to him out of the corner of his eye, letting him know it was okay. However, that grin disappeared as Roxas asked him what he was talking about and shouted. A short groan emitted from the brunette’s throat. If that was how things were starting, he probably wouldn’t cooperate and wouldn’t tell him anything. This was supposed to be a quick little talk where he figured out what was going on and then they could get back to their dates and the dance. But already Roxas was showing signs of being difficult. This could be a really frustrating exchange if this kept up. When they stopped away from the others and Sora turned to look at his Nobody, the latter explained that he’d been on the islet where the Paopu Tree was. He sounded really annoyed. He opened his mouth to answer that question, but the blonde went on, saying that he was probably too busy with Kairi to even bother, then pouted saying that he could take care of himself.

Sora’s calm demeanor slipped for about half a second and he was about to yell at Roxas for being so stubborn, but he stopped. This was the Christmas Eve dance. Things were supposed to be nice and jolly, so he wasn’t going to let Roxas’s sour attitude and responses get to him. Well, that much. That comment about Kairi had been kinda low.
”Hey, I spent most of my day trying to find you,” he countered, frowning. ”If you were just at the islet, why didn’t you say anything? I tried talking to you through our link all day long! With all the stuff that happened… recently, we thought something bad might have happened to you.” He was about to say that because of all the things that had happened between him, Riku, and Naminé, but decided that conversation would get really ugly and quickly changed the subject. He was hoping that his Nobody would have felt the dark presence on the islands too and thought that was what he meant, because that was partially true. He really wasn’t bothered that Roxas was okay; in fact, he was thrilled by that. He was just confused as to why he wouldn’t speak to him when he sounded so panicked all day long.

I get to go to a dance, so nothing can go wrong.

The only way to be sure about tonight, is to experience it firsthand.

Blaise walked into the school after Sky. Had Xia seen them? He had hoped that he could get the chance to explain if she had. He went to a spot, next to Sora's group. He saw Xia dancing by herself. "Wow, she's good." he told himself. He walked to Xia and stood infront of her. "Hey, room for one more?" he asked her smiling. Surely Sky would understand. He didn't feel like leaving Xia out. He didn't want her to feel like the "third wheel."

Blaise saw Lakayna dancing with a boy with spiky red hair. "Well, somone looks like their having fun." he told Xia. Don't get me wrong, Lakayna did look like she was having fun. Maybe as much fun as the dodgeball game they were in earlier. "Xia, I'm sorry..." he apologized. He wanted to apologize for everything. He never meant to make her feel like the third wheel. He had promised to protect her, but what if he was hurting her? How would he be able to live it down? Wasn't it he who promised never to let her or Sky down, to not let them get even remotely hurt? Blaise forced a smile, but deep down he felt bad. He felt bad because of how he felt he was breaking his promise.

Besides, it's a tme to relax, and a chance to get together with my friends...

I wished for love,
I recieved lonelines.

Tesqux's eyes glinted dangerously. "Then don't come crying to us when you finally realize that you're not the only one with strong powers of darkness." She countered softly, not truly meant for Aros to hear. She snapped her fingers and a dark corridor appeared. "Lovely." She purred. "I was afraid I had lost my touch, being in Quest for so long." She giggled and stepped in, turning to wave at Kiera, before disappearing into the dance. She looked a bit strange, not wearing a dress when the other girls were, wearing a sleek pair of black trousers and a long-sleeved black button up shirt. Not to mention, her choker didn't really go along with the outfit that much. But somehow, she managed to keep out of sight.

I said forever,
I got never.

((Not pic right now))
Skyler looked at Blaise talking to Xia from afar. She smiled and walked to the punch bowl and saw a pink haired person.Might as well talk to um....him? she thought to herself. She walked toward him,"Hello. I don't think i've seen you around school. But anyway my name is Skyler and you are?" she asked.
